Could be better, could be worse. The toilet works.

I travel a lot and haven't seen such a filthy toilet in years. Charging €1 is an absolute outrage. The rest stop outside isn't any better. You're better off driving to the next rest stop.

Anyone looking for good Segafredo coffee should drive a bit further. At this location, the coffee now comes from some kind of fully automatic machine :-(

There was a 30-minute queue in the men's room on Friday at 6 p.m. I got rid of some unnecessary weight as quickly as possible to be fair to the other gentlemen, and it was a terribly unpleasant and stressful experience. The schnitzel with paprika sauce was okay, though.

Parking further from the highway

Three out of four restroom stalls are closed. Terribly dirty. Charging money for something like that is really cheeky. I won't cash the receipt either, because the remaining balance is still too high.

It's a disgrace to charge 1 euro for something like that... the only restroom that was open, the others were locked. I can't understand how this is even allowed and how it ruins the good reputation of clean Sanifair restrooms. Regular restrooms in unattended parking lots are cleaner!

This rest stop is a complete disaster. Charging €1 for access to the restroom is outrageous, considering the state of the facilities. It stinks, it's dirty everywhere, and out of four restrooms, only two work. The sink was just as dirty – simply disgusting. Unfortunately, the McDonald's isn't any better. Three employees stand around chatting while one person tries to fill orders alone. Zero motivation, zero sense of service. Honestly, I'd rather stick it out next time than stop here again. This rest stop is abysmal in every respect.

Not recommended – restrooms unacceptable We were passing through and visited the restrooms at this rest stop. Both the men's and women's restrooms were in a terrible state. Dirty, unhygienic, and not at all well-maintained. The fact that you have to pay €1 per person for this is simply outrageous. The hygiene standards here should be urgently reviewed, and appropriate action taken. This should not be allowed in a place used by so many travelers every day.

Small parking lot for trucks without a barrier from the autobahn. Toilet 1 €. Shower does not work. There is a fast food restaurant. No water. No gas station.

If I could, I'd give it 0 stars. The employee was extremely unfriendly, gave us the wrong coffees and then said he could be playing us, and the chocolate milk was WITHOUT chocolate. We had to pay €1 each for the toilets, but every single one in the women's was clogged, and there was urine and feces everywhere. When we pointed this out to him, he said they weren't his and we should call the cleaners ourselves. Truly outrageous, avoid this rest stop!!!

Truly disgusting restrooms (women's), overflowing when you try to flush. Everything is covered in feces, so we had to call the company responsible for that. We wanted to buy coffee and chocolate milk, but the coffee tasted wrong. When we pointed it out, the salesperson said it was okay. The chocolate milk just tasted like milk.

Delicious goulash soup. The restroom is clean and has a serway system. The receipt costs €1, which can be paid contactless. Hand in your receipt and you'll receive a discount on your food.

Only four electric charging stations. Two of them have been out of service for at least four weeks.

Dirty toilet for which you still have to pay money

During the 1900 km journey, you have to stop at a lot of rest areas. It seems that they are constantly cleaning. Many, many different people use them. Toilet paper is usually not available, but the roll is also missing. So, if I can throw garbage all over the place and not flush the toilet after myself, I probably needed a roll of paper

They don't allow you to use the shower.

The worst rest stop for truck drivers. - The restrooms don't work, and only one of the four stalls works. - The showers don't work. - The truck parking spots face the highway, making it so noisy it's impossible to sleep. - There's no water. - The parking lot is dirty, with trash flying all over the place.

One star is still too much... Everything is very dirty, smelly, and unfriendly. The shower is broken, but how long has it been? Very sad.

One star because I can't give it less. The worst parking lot in Germany. The shower never works, NEVER. Of the four toilet stalls, only one is open, and there's a line of 5-6 people for it. If you really need to use it, you're better off running into the bushes, otherwise you'll end up shitting your pants waiting 20-30 minutes. And you pay money for all this. Disgraceful!

The filthiest service station I have seen in a long time. Garbage everywhere, makes you wonder when the last time was that anyone cleaned up. Yuck.

Free clean parking lot with benches

A completely filthy, urine-stained rest stop. The restrooms are completely filthy. Charging €1 for this is a complete disgrace. The parking lot is also completely neglected. Better to drive 6 km further and stop near Siegburg. Königsforst West should be closed completely. An absolute disgrace for any traveler!

€1 for a toilet that reeks of urine, and the seat cleaning system doesn't work in at least two of the toilets, on September 10, 2025, at 11:11 AM. That even makes you lose the appetite to redeem your voucher and have a coffee. Simply outrageous!

The rest stop is okay. The parking lots are poorly lit at night.

We read that if your choose a Serways service station the toilet facilites are clean as they use the money you pay to use them. Unfortunately we found this not to be the case, as the loos we smelly, dirty, and not fully functional. An expensive disappointment!

Food and drinks are very expensive. Restrooms are poorly maintained. Simply filthy! And all for just one euro!

The Serways toilets are, at least at the moment, completely broken. No receipts, all soap dispensers broken, all automatic toilet cleaning systems out of order, a smell of urine, and incompetent staff. Things can only get better.

It's absolutely outrageous to charge 1 euro for the toilet while you, as a woman, have been waiting in line for three years. Four cubicles are apparently not enough to cope with the demand. The rest stop also has a McDonald's, and you share the toilets. Absolutely unacceptable.

The toilet machine doesn't dispense a ticket. The toilets are filthy and poorly cleaned. Regarding the food, I find Koningforst to be terrible, and the service is unfriendly. We'll definitely drive past it next time.

I've never seen anything like it. You have to go to the bathroom after a seven-hour drive, and even more before that. Then, one of the four toilets was open, and it was dirty and very unhygienic. McDonald's doesn't even serve breakfast at 9:00.

This place saved our entire trip. They got everything that we were missing for a week in the Netherlands (or perhaps a significant chunk of our lives). 1) Nicotine pouches – not available in the Netherlands (our holiday destination for a week) = driver was grumpy until stopping here 2) McRib – fellow passenger was craving it the whole time (it is not available in the Czech Republic [our home country], nor in the Netherlands) ..and most importantly.. 3) Solero Berry Bliss (used to be called Solero Red Berries back in my day), aka the best ice cream EVER – this devine frozen treat has not been available in the Czech Republic for quite some time now. They have it in the Netherlands, but everywhere we went, it was completely sold out. Finally, on our way home.. there she was. My beloved. I used the 1 € coupon from the toilets (which were nice and clean, only the spinning cleaning thingy was not working), got a discount and bought SOLERO BERRY BLISS. Best day ever. 5 stars.

It's nice to know that if you don't want to clean, the shower is broken! And unfortunately, this isn't the first time I've experienced this at Sanifair! As a truck driver, you'll soon be unable to drive anywhere that has a Sanifair logo on it!

Both employees at Gustikus couldn't operate the cash register or tried to rip us off several times. We weren't allowed to order a free kids' menu with our main course and ended up having to eat at McDonald's. Serway's restrooms were also dirty. Urine from the men's restroom could be smelled all the way into the hallway. There's a trash problem in the parking lot. We'll take the next rest stop instead.

The most disgusting restrooms since highway rest stops were invented. Of the four women's restrooms, one was usable, and the line was extremely long late at night. One door wouldn't open, two toilets were at the top of their lungs... I'll spare you the details. Overflowing trash cans and dirty sinks. The best part, though, was the staff's reaction to the information that there was a need. A very annoyed "Yeah, yeah, I know." Aha.

Unhygienic, run-down, and unfriendly – never again! Today on our vacation, we made a quick stop at the Königsforst West rest stop – a mistake we won't soon forget. I travel a lot for work and have seen many rest stops in Germany, but this was by far the worst. Even in the parking lot, we were met with a strong smell of urine – presumably because many guests prefer to pee outside rather than pay a euro to use the restroom. After using the Serways restroom, I can even relate: The entrance area reeked of urea, the men's restroom was filthy, soiled with feces, and the floor was sticky with urine. The disinfectant dispenser at the exit was empty – a mockery. The cashier was either linguistically overwhelmed or simply rude. Our objective feedback on the hygiene conditions was met with aggressive and dismissive behavior. The Serways sales area and the adjacent McDonald's were also anything but inviting: dirty tables, sticky floors, and an overall unkempt appearance. If you like dirt, stench, and unfriendly behavior, this is the place for you. For everyone else—especially families—I can only advise you to drive a few kilometers further. As a paying customer, you feel not only unwelcome, but downright disgusted.

The restroom situation was incredibly poor, as was the combination of a changing table and accessible restroom. Waiting 20 minutes to change a child is quite a long time.

In Königsforst, you really have to be lucky to find a free parking space. The facility is usually very busy.
