Simply put, like all Tank & Rast rest stops, totally overpriced.

I stopped at this rest stop today (December 3, 2025) to take a short break after a 6-hour drive... and I have to say, I certainly got that break! I've rarely been served so nicely and kindly as I was today! The lovely lady greeted me warmly with a smile and a friendly atmosphere, and the food was beautifully presented and piping hot. Unfortunately, I have to deduct one star because the restrooms were absolutely not a pleasant experience.

The guy at the gas station was more interested in counting his tips than taking care of his customers. I left after 10 minutes without buying anything. Luckily, I didn't need to fill up.

NEVER AGAIN! I'd rather sit in the woods! After having to pay €1 upfront, I was then presented with the dirtiest toilet Serways has ever seen! The trash cans were overflowing, and of the three men's toilets, only one was open, but it was unusable. I'll spare you the photos!

Parking is fine, but there's one problem in Germany: when will the road repairs be finished?

More charging stations for electric cars could be added...the shop could also use an update; fresh rolls or something like that would go a long way.

The toilets are beyond disgusting. We tried three, and the automatic self-cleaning function didn't work on any of them. They're not worth a single euro! We didn't use any more than that. That was enough for us...

It's a Serways station, but everything's clean and in good condition. But now it's €1 just for the toilet, and then you can only redeem one coupon in the gas station shop – that's outrageous.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would! One of the most disgusting restrooms I've seen in a long time. You walk in the door and it stinks like a train station corner. Six toilets, one covered in blood, two full of 💩, one littered with toilet paper, one locked, and one that was halfway usable. The cleaning function on the rotating toilet seat doesn't work anywhere (or was perhaps simply deactivated on purpose?). Considering Sanifair's otherwise excellent standards, this is a truly disgusting disgrace!

🚾 - 1 💶; 🚿 - 3 💶 (-1 💶 for a voucher from 🚾); 💧 - tire inflation pole near the truck pumps; 🏪 - 3.5 km to shops. The parking lot is noisy - that's the only downside. It's small, cozy, and clean. The bathroom is also tidy. The holiday season is over, so there were free spots all weekend. There's a forest and a small town nearby - plenty of places to walk.

Despite the mandatory entrance fee, I would have liked a bit more glamour and glory in the restrooms. 🚻💸 If you're going to pay an entrance fee, at least the restroom shouldn't be the adventure of the day. 😅 The coffee and break were okay – but the restrooms desperately need a little wellness treatment! 🧽✨

Very expensive. But super clean. The last time I was served by a woman. She was a great and hardworking person. This time, there was a rude man who refused to stay in the back and only came forward when necessary. That was on September 28th, around noon. His unfriendly and listless expression was unbearable.

I ate here today and what can I say, the ladies in the restaurant have heart and humor. The food was really great, in my case the schnitzel box Nordic style, very tasty. That's how gastronomy is done. Keep it up👍

No cleaning of the toilet and the restaurant is closed. Terribly bad because it says it should be open every day.

9/2/25 12:45 PM. The nice lady behind the counter recommended the currywurst, so I went for it. What can I say? It feels like it's been ages since I've had such a delicious currywurst, and the fries were perfect, too. Add to that the lady's warm manner, it was very pleasant. I'd love to come back if it works out. 😁

Like all Serways rest stops, it's clean and tidy, but now ridiculously expensive. The rest of the rest stop is in dire need of a facelift. It's still adequate for a restroom break, though.

The restrooms were a disgrace. Wednesday morning around 5:00 a.m., two restrooms were locked and one was unusable and dirty. When I asked the gas station staff, they said they had no control over it. The cleaning staff will come when the restaurant opens. €1 for a toilet is pretty steep. But having to pay €1 and not being able to use the restroom is one too many. Or so I thought. Thursday morning around 8:00 a.m. Same club across the street, in the other direction. 5 of the 6 restrooms were unusable and dirty. Then the cleaning staff came at some point. If you're going to take it from the living, the restroom should be clean and in working order and not just pocket the money. I'll spare you the photos...

They ask for a document as a deposit for a shower... but you can't try anything on the collar?

There is no longer a restaurant available

A truly terrible rest stop. The restrooms stink and are completely dirty. The gas station itself reeks horribly of cigar smoke. You can't buy a sausage here. The employee on March 20, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. was also abysmal. There was no trace of friendliness, worse than at a hardware store. Get out of work or I'll have to move. Never again.

Just left this dump. On the internet it says "closed" but when you are driving along, you don't know that. The big signs just lie,: there is no Lavazza to be had. The croissant (admittedly at 10.45) was just a hunk of something. The attendant couldn't have cared less. Well done Total Energie for such a disaster, if you are the end owners.

Not bad, there is a public toilet, paid, clean, has everything you need, children of a certain height can go in for free, the receipt from the toilet includes a discount on coffee, which is very good.

That was the worst toilet we've had at a rest stop in a long time. It was just disgusting and smelled very bad. And paying 1€ for that is really cheeky!

The "restaurant" and coffee area is temporarily closed and is being renovated. Closed this summer 2024! The gas station with coffee and the toilets are accessible - accessible!!

Renovation of the rest area, the toilets are one floor below and no indication of this. The only thing that says at the old entrance is that the toilets are closed.

Only deserves zero stars, having to pay 1 euro for the toilet but only one of 3 men's toilets was usable, the other 2 were extremely dirty, on the one hand the users are certainly responsible for this but also the operator did not check and clean at reasonable intervals no more paper towels after washing hands. That was on June 13, 2024 around 5 p.m. So the toilet is not worth a euro.

Minus 5 stars. Restaurant closed at 5:50 p.m. Toilets absolute disaster. Outside, including the children's playground, there was rubbish and a smell everywhere. Totally disgusting...

I was at the rest stop around 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday and wanted to go to the restaurant. Unfortunately still closed. I then went back to the gas station and met my needs there. It's a shame, I think the opening times should be reconsidered.

Quiet area even though it is next to the autobahn

Signage not particularly good. On a normal Thursday afternoon the restaurant is closed. The toilets can only be reached via stairs. One pay machine is completely out of order, the other does not read various chip cards. 1/4 of the toilets were broken and the others were definitely not clean. Not the standard you expect from Sanifair!

We took a short break on Saturday, May 25th, 2024. Nice staff, but unfortunately the worst coffee you can get from a machine. No specialties to choose from and the coffee crema was so hot (filled into a thermal mug) that I almost burned my tongue in Hamburg. The taste of the coffee was a disaster. It tasted bitter and burnt (despite the milk and sugar). €4.90 for the large coffee crema is outrageous.

The prices at the gas station are unreasonable, 40 cents per liter more expensive than elsewhere. The staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful.

Fecal smell in the toilet area. One toilet is broken, the cleaning mechanism of the second is not working. (In the men's area) No service staff anywhere. As far as I saw, no changing facilities for parents. And a euro for that? This is an outrage.

We asked ourselves why so many visitors urinate in the middle of nature... Using the toilet for €1 is excessive compared to the condition of the toilet. It's no use if a lady appears in the men's toilet while it's being used to sign the inspection slip, but nothing changes in the condition found. The vouchers must then be redeemed individually. One voucher per product. That also explains the price of €1.99 for a small Mars bar. Then you suddenly have some understanding for wild peeers. Why do truck stops do this better? Clean toilets at McDonalds or Burger King, the coffee, not bad at all, at affordable prices. You're happy to buy something and there's also a tip left over for the staff.

On Saturday morning there were a lot of parking spaces, but by evening everything was already occupied. Toilet, shower - everything is ok. There is access to the city, about 4 - 5 km to shops, to choose from. Not far away (6 km) there is a “wildlife park”, where you can feed the deer, entrance is 6 euros today.

It was good to go to the toilet, the staff in the restaurant were extremely unfriendly and half of the food on offer was no longer available. We decided to buy something from the local gas station, they were nice there too (that's why they got 3 stars) 😊

I can't say much about this rest stop. The signs are a bit confusing. Point to the left, but you have to turn right into the rest area and go down a flight of stairs to the toilet. The toilets are from Sanifair, so they cost 1 euro. You can pay here with cash and also with your EC card. You also get the euro as a coupon for shopping at a sanifair rest stop. Toilets seem clean. However, as is so often the case, automatically cleaning the clog glasses doesn't work or is difficult, which is why I always recommend a disinfectant wipe. The rest area itself is spacious and offers the usual assortment.

Worst rest stop I've ever been to. It's better to avoid going to the toilet and grab a bag of chips than to go to the toilet here and rely on the (non-)existent breakfast menu.

The dining area exudes the charm and smell of a 70s inn, so I usually choose the route outside on the way to the toilet, even when it's raining. There is no accessibility here, the toilet facilities are in the basement and it is so well sealed off that cashless payment usually doesn't work. In the men's toilet, 2/3 of the toilets are now broken or no longer usable... it's going to be an exciting travel season.

For 1 euro you almost puke for going to the toilet. The cloth for the toilet has probably been used since it opened and especially for everything. If you tried to breathe through your mouth, your throat would burn. Thank you never again.
