Lakeside Inn in Haltern am See

We have been waiting for the food for a good hour now. When we asked, the nice waitress went to the kitchen and came back with the good news that it would take another half an hour. No bread in advance or when asked, we are sitting here and are simply starving.

Delicious food, nice people and a really beautiful location!

Going for a walk and then having a cup of coffee is good, unfortunately prices are high like everywhere else

Waited 1 hour for the food, it wasn't very busy and then the food was served cold. (Service can't be expressed, then the guests lie... Disappointment was very big. (It took us 1 hour to get there, not twice)

Food is ok, but really not great. Unfortunately not the best price-performance ratio. Location is of course a hit. *edit We would still love to come back 😁

It's perfect for anyone who wants to have a little schwetzten But we were told that eating takes a maximum of 45 minutes, but it took 1 hour and 10 minutes before we had our food

Our visit to the Lakeside Inn in Haltern am See for the Big Breakfast Buffet was a very positive experience overall. The ability to reserve a table spontaneously online made our visit uncomplicated from the start. When we arrived we found plenty of free parking spaces directly at the restaurant, which made the start of the day very pleasant. The Lakeside Inn impresses with its excellent location, surrounded by beautiful nature, which creates a relaxed atmosphere upon arrival. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. What was particularly pleasant was the choice between a table in the middle of the restaurant and a window table, which gave us the feeling that our wishes were being taken into account. The breakfast buffet itself was rich and varied. There was a wide variety of food, including both classic breakfast options and some special treats. The quality of the food was consistently high and there was something for every taste. A small note: For my height of 1.75 m, the structure of the buffet was a bit high, which could be a bit of a challenge for some guests ;) The staff deserves special praise. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. She came to our table regularly to make sure everything was ok and if we wanted to order anything else. This service contributed significantly to our well-being. A small downer was the somewhat noisy atmosphere in the restaurant. There were lots of children running around and creating a lively noise. Personally I have nothing against children, but for guests who prefer a quieter environment this might be a bit disturbing :) Overall, our visit to the Lakeside Inn was very enjoyable, and we highly recommend the Big Breakfast Buffet. The combination of delicious food, friendly service and the beautiful location makes it an ideal place for a relaxed breakfast.

We had cheeseburgers and sweet potato fries. Fries weren't really crispy, the meat was unusually firm and fatty. Buns very good. I still had a lettuce stalk on my burger. For the hefty price of €15 per cheeseburger (without fries!) Not cheap. We won't go there anymore. Much better: Road, stop Münster

After a nice walk in the heath we went to the Lakeside Inn for refreshments. The food was great and the service was super nice, friendly and quick. The food also came super quickly. Sure, when you first see the prices, you think to yourself: "That's not cheap". But that's the case everywhere... I will still go there and can only recommend it.

Food OK, service OK, actually a very nicely decorated restaurant, the big TV that was showing Super RTL was annoying, we found it inappropriate.

Fries were almost cold and a bit too cross, otherwise everything was ok, friendly service and nice atmosphere.

I recently visited the restaurant which promises an American style. The decor immediately evokes a USA flair, but I was unfortunately disappointed with the food: they mainly used convenience products, which was noticeable in both the taste and the presentation. In addition, the prices are quite high for the quality offered.

The food is always good. Even if the place is full.

Unfortunately, more of a “fried” atmosphere in all respects. The food is a bit reminiscent of times gone by. Rich and fatty. Draft beers are okay, cocktails try hard, but miss the mark (e.g. the mojito consisted of a bush of mint). Worth mentioning is the staff. A bit slow at the beginning of the celebration, but in the end very hard-working and always friendly. All in all, quite acceptable, but nothing more.

Very good food with burgers, pizza, pasta, spare ribs and steaks. Everything was very tasty and in a nice atmosphere. Prices are very good for the good portions.

Enjoyed a delicious latte with vanilla syrup very comfortably. Always happy again 👌

The food was good and plentiful. The waitresses are friendly and nice. I found it a bit noisy on Saturday when it was full as it is a large room.

Nice restaurant, beautifully located right on the lake

Unfortunately the steak wasn't what I imagined. Souvid should actually be buttery tender. But it was more like chewing gum. And not really warm. And too spicy. The fries were delicious. The dessert too. The service from the waitress was great, but unfortunately the one who took the orders at the beginning wasn't that nice. The cocktail only tasted of alcohol. No taste of fruit.

Extremely expensive The ambience is really not very inviting in the summer it's nice on the terrace but inside... well I don't know, there were two of us here and we paid €86 for two normal meals and four drinks. I think it's a little expensive

Nice restaurant with a modern atmosphere. The food was very good and the drink selection was large. It was quiet in the corner by the window and you could have a good conversation. The service was very nice and attentive.

We are there regularly with our Lotus regulars’ table. It's a nice system gastro restaurant with nice staff. Sometimes you have to wait quite a long time for your food and the prices have increased significantly compared to previous visits. A little update after our last site visit: Unfortunately, we discovered that the great dish “fried potatoes with fried eggs” is no longer offered on the menu. It would be very nice if the current menu was expanded to include this offer. Nevertheless, we are always happy to be there.

Was there for dinner this evening. The store was busy but not too crowded. The waitress only came by the table once to take the order, after which there was no further question as to whether any more drinks were wanted. My fries and my burger were very salty, so I would have liked to have had more than just one drink. The burger patty was cold and burnt. Very disappointing and not recommended.

The Lake Side Inn is beautifully located on the Halterer reservoir. The location is furnished in American style and offers plenty of space. For that 5/5. Our service was friendly and courteous. Our dog even got something to drink. 5/5 The food was very simple, without much craftsmanship, straight from the industry. I found it a bit disappointing. Despite the many guests, there should be more in it. 3/5 Considering the food on offer, we didn't think the price-performance ratio was justified. Thank you for allowing us to be your guests.

We were part of a larger group and unfortunately the food was a total failure. The burgers were so dry because the meat was fried far too long. If you ask the waiter, yes, that happens often. And one had some kind of foil potato It looked like a piece of coal and unfortunately didn't taste good at all. The service was okay.

Very comfortable except for the hard chairs. Otherwise nice waiters with good service. Unfortunately, my dips were forgotten with the starter. When spoken to, this was downplayed and they were still charged. Only the food is impeccable, highly recommended. I would happily come back despite the high prices.

The mixed starter was so-so. Unfortunately my pizza was cold and the ham was cut too thick and unfortunately there was no Parma ham which actually belongs on it and no Serano ham. Unfortunately, my husband's spare ribs weren't tasty either. My son's burger was quite ok. Too bad

Seats reserved online, easy. There were enough places available on Tuesday. Was here for the 3rd time now. I'd love to come back.

We had a great breakfast at Lakeside. Coffee, juice, cold cuts, scrambled eggs... Everything was great. The children had juicy round pancakes in abundance. The service was very attentive, sometimes a bit overwhelmed as we were completely alone for the bar, bringing food, clearing up, stocking up and collecting money. He can't help it, it would take two people to serve at the bar.

Due to the size of the venue, it was quite loud. Otherwise no complaints.

We were there with two families. There was something for everyone. Children were also very happy. Food was very tasty. Service very attentive and friendly. Thank you very much.

Spontaneous meal on a Saturday evening. 2 people, there were still places available, albeit few ;-). The food was great, the service was almost perfect. We were served in a friendly and attentive manner. In between, questions were asked again and again, very attentive. The ambience is very appealing. Highly recommended if you like food with an American twist.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the new pizzas at Lake Side in Haltern am See and I have to say: I'm thrilled! I ordered both the Salami Pepperoni Pizza and the Pulled Pork Pizza, and both far exceeded my expectations. The pizzas are simply sensational and exceed anything I have ever experienced at Italian restaurants. The salami pepperoni pizza impressed with a perfectly crispy base and a harmonious combination of spicy salami and fresh pepperoni - an absolute delight for anyone who likes it spicy. The pulled pork pizza, on the other hand, was a real surprise: tender, juicy meat that, together with an aromatic barbecue note and tasty toppings, offered an incomparable taste experience. Every ingredient was fresh and perfectly balanced. The quality and taste here are simply top class. You can tell that a lot of attention to detail goes into preparing the pizzas, and you can taste it in every bite. If you're looking for exceptionally good pizza, don't miss Lake Side. Absolute recommendation – I will definitely come back!

After a long walk in the heath around the corner, we thought we would pop into LSI for a coffee and hot chocolate. No sooner said than done. We were immediately assigned a table for 4 people at the entrance, and everything was fine until then. After about 10 minutes we placed our order: 1* Hot chocolate with cream 1* White chocolate with cream 1* cappuccino 1* smoothie The smoothie came after about 15 minutes. The rest was a long time coming. After asking once (about 30 minutes had passed) we were assured that the remaining drinks would come (the smoothie was almost emptied by now). We're talking about 3 hot drinks here! 10 minutes later I asked the waiter again and he seemed annoyed. So I then spoke to the supposed manager who was also walking around there and explained the problem to him and told him that we would like to pay for the smoothie and leave. He then gave us the smoothie for free and we left the restaurant. 40 minutes of waiting for 3 drinks and they were probably somehow forgotten, which can't be possible since we mentioned it, we think it's very bad. It has to be said that we apparently weren't the only ones waiting there for drinks today, because there were other customers running to the manager/local boss. The ladies behind the counter seemed pretty overwhelmed, but what they were good at was putting glasses on the shelf instead of taking care of the orders. Luckily we didn't eat there! So if you have a lot of time and patience, you can spend your day there WAITING. P.S the competition where we were afterwards can provide service! The wait for the drinks took less than 10 minutes and the restaurant was very busy! You're also welcome to give a tip. This way you can do business and keep your customers happy!

Wir waren am 27.10.24 zum Brunch um 10.15 Uhr im Lake Side In. Da die Aufschnitt Platten schon recht leer waren fragten wir ob diese nochmal aufgefüllt werden...man sagte uns"ich glaub schon", allerdings passierte nichts.. Wir haben allerdings doch noch ein Körner- Brötchen und ein Käsebrötchen ergattern können..etwas Fisch und Salat...na ja..wenn man bedenkt,dass es dort mal ein richtig guter Brunch angeboten wurde,war es jetzt nur ein Armutszeugnis...schade...und das ganze für knapp 28€ pro Person... Wir kommen nicht mehr wieder, da gibt's in der näheren Umgebung bei weitem besseres...

It is very well located and the parking situation is good. We had burgers for dinner. The portions are okay and you'll feel full. However, it is a bit expensive.

We stayed at the Lakeside Inn with 4 people and ate 3 different dishes. The burgers were very tasty and filling. With fries, that's quite a lot for a woman. The men had eaten ribs with chicken wings and fries. The meat portions were a bit too small for one man... but the fries made both of them full. But this dish was also delicious. Therefore, 5 stars for the food. The ambience is also nice, but I only gave it 4 stars because when the music was turned on, the guests had to talk louder and therefore the background noise was quite loud. It is highly recommended to reserve a table!!! But we will definitely come back. Thank you for letting us be with you

The food was tasty but nothing special, and even though there wasn't really much going on, it was lukewarm. Ambiance is getting old and needs to be reworked. Service was good. It's just a place for excursions and you can tell that.

Were there on Tuesday with 4 adults and 2 children. The adults all ordered burgers and the kids ordered the Kids Burger. We all have to say that we have never eaten such great burgers! Juicy, spicy, tasty, fresh, etc. Everything your burger heart desires. We'd love to come back!

A restaurant with a special flair and a very nice ambience. Very friendly staff.

Had our regulars' get-together here. Food was tasty, portion size was OK, but not American style. The most important part of the quick replenishment of drinks was fulfilled by the waitress. The 5+1 offers for Salitos and Pülleken on tap are recommended. Of course, the store isn't the cheapest in terms of price. Are the last guests with approx. 80 p.p. staggered out of the store. Maybe we'll come back again.

At first we waited about 15-20 minutes until we could order drinks. We were able to order food relatively quickly. But then we had to wait 45 minutes until we got 3 dishes. The food was very good, you can't really say anything about it. Unfortunately, the service that day in the outdoor area showed little interest in our table, e.g. asking if everything was OK or if we would like something more to drink. The homemade iced tea is also very good but is served with lots of ice cubes so that almost half of it is water at some point.

Pathetic service. My family has been to the Lakeside Inn three times now, but we have never experienced anything like this at any other restaurant. We reserved a table at 1:30 p.m. and ordered drinks and food at the same time. And when was it brought to us? Exactly, at 2:10 p.m. or 40 minutes later. At the moment there were only 7 other tables occupied so it was relatively empty. By that time the food was already cold and our drinks were empty. At the same moment we ordered more drinks. And when did the order arrive this time? Exactly, not at all. When we were asked if everything was okay, we said no. We explained our problem with the service and received a curt response from the waiter. In the future we will look for another restaurant where a warm meal is served warm and the customer is also noticed by the staff. We were still allowed to pay the full price.

Unfortunately the food wasn't as good as the first time. The nachos were carelessly gratinated (cheese and sauce only in a heap in the middle, not nicely distributed) and unfortunately almost black on one side and the sauces were unfortunately from the bottle, hard to identify as guacemole...the supposed rum steak was definitely a tough sirloin steak, the baked potato was really small and the mini bowl of sour cream was a joke...chicken wings okay, Sweet potato fries were so heavily fried (or hung in the fat again?) that we had to leave out 1/4 because they were too hard. Cheeseburger was tasty, but unfortunately only lukewarm. The hit of the evening was the soft ice cream... very tasty... but it didn't take away the rest... Spent 150 euros and unfortunately I wasn't satisfied...

Nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, too few service staff when the restaurant is very full on a public holiday. We waited a good 45 minutes for our order with 4 people. It was pretty hectic in the restaurant. We should probably be served something else first. My order was very good. Rosemary potato pan with fried egg. The price-performance ratio is also right here. For the other two dishes, fish and chips, the fish was fried quite fatty in a beer batter. There were also normal fries. Ketchup must be ordered with it. For just under 17 euros, the price/performance ratio here is not quite right....

The location is very good but the long waiting times and the price-performance ratio is really bad! The prices are far too high for what is on offer. We eat out a lot and don't mind high prices if we get something accordingly. But for this salad or for these omelettes and, as I said, especially for the long waiting times there - charging these prices is outrageous. In addition, if you sit outside, you will be smoked from all sides, as it seems that smokers prefer to eat there.

The service leaves a lot to be desired, hence the long waiting time for food.
