Als erstes, das Personal super freundlich! Aber einmal das falsche Bier bekommen und kalte classic rips, ok wir waren einige Personen mehr. Den Kellner gefragt, ob ich heisst rippen bekommen könnte, der Umtausch war kein Problem. Die 2. Portion war lauwarm und zugekleistert mit bbq sauce, dazu wirkten die rippen, wie einfach abgekocht und mit sauce beschmiert. War leider sehr enttäuschend.

Einmal und nie wieder . ich war mit meiner Familie am Sonntag dort .(7 Personen ) Die warte Zeit wurde wie wohl üblich mit 45 Minuten veranschlagt. Das war für uns kein Problem und wollten die Wartezeit dann mit einer Vorspeise überbrücken. Wir hatten die Bestellung der Getränke und für das Essen aufgegeben , die hälfte der Getränke kam dann nach einiger Zeit , nach 15 Minuten habe ich gefragt ob wir auch noch den Rest bekommen, der Bon war wohl runter gefallen . Naja irgendwann kam auch der Rest der Getränke . Nach über einer halben Stunde kam dann mal die Vorspeise , ich muss dazu sagen ich bin gelernte Köchin und habe also Erfahrung mit dem Ablauf in einer gut funktionierenden Küche . Es waren auch nur 2 Vorspeisen , einmal Brot und einmal Tomate mit Burrata, also kein Hexenwerk , sowas schickt man mal zwischendurch raus. Die Vorspeise war verzehrt und die Zeit ging ins Land, die Sachen wurden auch nicht mal abgeräumt . Es war jetzt auch über 1 Stunde vergangen und 3 Tische die nach uns gekommen sind , hatten dann auch schon Ihre Hauptspeise . Ich habe dann mal Nachgefragt ob unser essen heute den noch kommt . Dann kam keine Ahnung der "Möchtegern Chef" ziemlich unfreundlich und meinte dann ja du hattest doch auch ne Vorspeise , ich meinte ja na und , heißt es das man Pro Speise 45 Minuten warten muss .... Ich war da schon satt und echt bedient . Er meinte das essen wäre in der Zubereitung . Irgendwann kam das essen und ich muss sagen , dass warten hat sich nicht gelohnt , Beilagen wurden vergessen , das Schnitzel meiner Tochter war teilweise noch rot . Das Steak für 28 Euro mit ein hauch vom Salat war ohne Worte . Zwei von 7 haben gesagt das essen war ok aber keine Erfüllung und der Rest war vom Geschmack her , sehr enttäuscht. MIR TATEN DIE 228 EURO IN DER SEELE WEH , da wir es auch selten alle zusammen schaffen mal essen zugehen und da war die ENTTÄUSCHUNG schon sehr groß . Schade

Personal etwas unterbesetzt was sich teiks in höheren Wartezeiten wiederspiegelt. Aber das perspnal informiert im voraus darüber und gibt sich alle mühe, kommt mehrmals am Tisch virbei und fragt ob alles passt. Bringen sie etwas Zeit mit und sie werden hier einen leckeren abend verbringen.

Had dinner there today. Unfortunately we had to wait 30 minutes for the order to be taken and no, it wasn't busy. After we placed the order it took over an hour for the food to arrive. Unfortunately, the food wasn't really warm anymore. A pity.

Honestly people!!! I hope someone is reading this who will change something quickly...sat in the restaurant for 15 minutes and were ignored by all the uncomfortably hectic waiters...several tables were treated that way...are got up and spent our money somewhere else...that was the last visit there...maybe someone will change something...that's really sad..

The portions of the appetizers were not appropriate for the price (a loaf of bread is more like a roll), the food came after about 50 minutes and was mostly cold, dips were forgotten. Drinks were very good and arrived quickly, and the price was also okay! Overall not a good experience, for more than drinks better go elsewhere

Despite an outdoor wedding, great service and the food and drinks arrived quickly. The food was very tasty and the waitresses were very friendly throughout the evening. Small special requests were also easily taken into account. Gladly again!

As always, we were happy to accept the long journey. But please next time or in general if you as a customer are spending a lot of money there and are looking forward to relaxation, don't spend 20 minutes next to someone with a tent or construction company there loudly discussing the veranda or roofing and taking measurements back and forth. When the food is there I want peace and relaxation and not there construction sites planning 2 meters next to me. You can do this in peace or otherwise, but unfortunately it was very disturbing and not really nice. I don't like paying almost 100 euros for that...

Unfortunately, Lakeside Inn didn't impress with the food. We ordered and were then told it would take 45 minutes...unpleasant. After an hour the food came. The burger had the wrong fries (ordered curly). Meat was not cooked through. Curly were hard, as if warmed up after 5 times in the hairdresser. The meat on the salad was cold, like it came from the fridge. Service was nice, but that was about it. Expensive too...competition is better and cheaper.

Poor quality steaks, not chewy, and also expensive :( p.s. chicken schnitzel made of ground meat!

We were there with our little boys 8 months old. There was a high chair for both of them. The ambience was very nice! The food was tasty but rather expensive.

After a bike ride of just over 60 km, we went there in the evening to have dinner if we were lucky. Since I had a small fall, I looked the same. When I asked if I was still allowed to go in (some people want sensible clothing), I was told that we were always allowed in and whether I was feeling well and everything was fine. Top !!!! The service was great, everyone was very friendly. Food was top. Only recommended!!!

My son invited me to breakfast for Mother's Day. The selection was huge and delicious, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great. But the price was very sobering. 87 €uro for 3 breakfast buffets??? Therefore only 3 stars.

We like going here despite it being a 30 minute drive. Here, in a very nice location and in a harmonious atmosphere, you can enjoy delicious American food and good service. I especially have to praise the spare ribs. However, our experience has shown that the place is rather unsuitable for visiting with small children. Unfortunately there is no indoor play area, the children's meals are all just fast food, so not suitable for every child and age. Waiting times with children can be extremely long. At a family celebration with many guests at one table, we had to wait a long time for the food and the young waitress rarely came by for drinks. But we still enjoy going here as a couple or with friends.

First of all: The employees are super nice and understand their job. Very accommodating, explained everything (e.g. if you had to pay in advance at the door) and were always available in personal conversations. We were well satisfied. I was a little disappointed because the drinks took a little longer. When the food was delivered I ordered a drink. It came when we were all finished. The burgers and the schnitzel were delicious. Not really particularly special. I know burgers that are better and more "hand-made". To be honest, the price was too high. We waited 45 minutes for food. Actually it works. And we were also informed of this in advance. So everything is okay. I can't give it five stars. Three would be unfair. But it was close.

It was our first big celebration that we as parents hosted for our daughter's guests. That was an exciting starting point for us. We were personally looked after by the boss and accompanied professionally with a lot of calm - from the first meeting to the end of the celebration. The support was first class throughout. The meal was excellent. The waiting time for the food was very short. We were allowed to place our order on the way there. It was also nice: we were able to decorate the tables ourselves for our daughter's first communion celebration and even bring a traditional cake. The playground, the large lawn and the access to the water were simply fantastic for our children. Our guests, we as parents and especially our daughter went home happy. We can fully recommend the local team and would be happy to come back!

Full, full Lakeside. Good and prompt service when it comes to drinks, you sometimes have to wait a long time for your food when it's very busy. The staff was very accommodating and friendly

My friend and I both ordered rump steak for almost €25. He medium well and I medium rare. When the order came they said both were the same… first disappointment. When we cut one of the steaks it was raw, we returned it and after 10 minutes a shoe sole came back. After speaking to the staff, it was hardly addressed and nothing was done about the price. Absolutely not recommended!!

A great restaurant with great food. Waiting time was almost 1 hour, which was a bit long. What doesn't work at all are the sanitary facilities, which couldn't be used due to the high level of pollution. You should definitely hire someone to keep it clean.

Today we only waited 15 minutes for the waiter at a nice 27 degrees in the sun. Then the cake came from the order (cake, milkshake and 2 lemonades) 10 minutes later. Or rather, cakes. After another 10 minutes we asked what about the shake and drinks. It was said that it would come immediately. Another 10 minutes later we just paid for the cake and left thirsty. Location was great, the cake tasted good but the service was just weak. We won't come again.

Great restaurant...Unfortunately, when the weather is nice, the waiting times for food are quite long...But the staff tried very hard.

I actually don't go to Lakeside anymore because over the last few years I've always been disappointed by the quality of the food and the completely exorbitant prices. However, my former classmates (from out of town) were keen to go to the Lake and I adapted. Since I now know that the burgers are no longer as good and big as they used to be and that they don't have a justifiable price, I looked on the menu for an alternative. I chose the U.S. Starter platter (finger food) used to be served on a 3-tiered platter. The price is now 15.95! I thought I couldn't go wrong with that. I was given a plate that was completely carelessly arranged, there were about 2-3 pieces of each finger food and a blob of BBQ sauce. I ordered fries for 4 euros and mayo, ketchup and mango curry sauce for another 3 euros extra. What can I say!? I didn't think you could go wrong with frozen products, none of them tasted good except the onion rings! At first I thought the nuggets were bad but in my opinion the ketchup was rancid. I let everyone at my table try it and everyone had the same opinion. I had it returned and got a new one. It tasted just as rancid. The waitress later said the ketchup was from Hellas and that it would taste like that 🤷‍♂️ Still had to pay him. The only good thing is the friendly service, who kept asking if we wanted anything else. I still won't come back, the prices are an absolute disgrace, given all the frozen products! I'm happy to pay for good quality but the food here isn't even remotely worth it. Anyone who writes here that you get good food must simply be a tourist and come because of the location. It's a real shame about what was once a good restaurant...

Original “Western-Styled Lodge” with a beautiful outdoor terrace/facility. Versatile food and drink menu in Tex/Mex style, good quality is delivered. Hardworking service with probably limited staffing levels.

Ambiance okay, service okay and attentive, menu too succinct (a sheet of paper, that's what my last meal was like, I'm missing the wow effect, you could do more with it here. Price performance doesn't fit in my opinion.

A welcomed stop for lunch, en route to the Harz Mountains region. Cool ranch style venue with ample outdoor tables and all undercover. Looks like it could well be a cracking location for line dancing too.

We celebrated our daughter's communion here today. The small room at the back on the left was prepared for us as discussed. We were able to bring our own decorations and also cake for the afternoon. The service was very quick, nice and accommodating. We felt very comfortable. Thanks again!

This was our second time here for breakfast. This time too we enjoyed it very much. The breakfast was more than enough for us, the service didn't miss anything, the staff were very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere invited us to linger. We'll definitely come back.

Stopped here after a walk to enjoy an American atmosphere (my wife is American). The restaurant is already stylish, but it lacks more 'American decoration'. Of course we had to try the burgers to eat. As an American restaurant they should be top. But unfortunately they were just 'okay': the meat was good, but overcooked. The buns are way too soft (they should be toasted so they are more crunchy). The onions were cut way too thick (it would be better to fry the onions briefly in honey) and everything was put together a bit carelessly. For a restaurant that advertises American food, I'm disappointed with the burgers. The fries were good though.

The Lake Side In has always been a very good location, but yesterday I was very disappointed! Waited 1.5 hours for the food, then only lukewarm, the side dish only came after repeated requests, basically when the burger had already been eaten. The waitress took forever to take the order and kept running away to ask what was working or not. A pity !

So now you've done it. We won't visit you anymore. It's rude to attack us like that because we came in through the back terrace. There was no sign saying we had to register at the front. Otherwise we would of course have gone through the main entrance. So put up signs and don't make it our problem. Or lock it properly. The way we were told this was totally outrageous. With the words "We are here illegally and the tables are allocated at the front" she has now rebooked the table because it was already reserved. Maybe you could also kindly point it out to someone and ask them. There really weren't any signs there. On the way back we searched everything again, but there was no sign there. Well ordered food and drinks together and the drinks came 10 minutes later than the food. I can't see any system here with the waiters, everyone is running around wildly. Wait another 10 minutes to pay. The restaurant is really nice, but not recommended due to the poor service. It's a shame why only auxiliary staff work here. Try ordering a burger medium 😈 it doesn't exist, so how should the burger taste? I'm still looking for the promised WiFi today.

The 2 stars are only for the delicious fries. We don't understand why there is only one person in the kitchen at lunchtime on a sunny Saturday. The result was long waiting times for everyone. Overall, the service was uncoordinated (we had to remind people several times to pay and in the end we had to go in ourselves because no one came). The food has more of a snack bar feel and doesn't correspond to the local prices. We don't understand the hype surrounding the Lake Side Inn. We won't be coming back.

We cycled here from Gelsenkirchen last summer. The playground was clearly a highlight for our son. We got fries and currywurst from the kiosk outside and it was super tasty and fresh and the price was great. We will come here again this year by bike and take our break there. A beautifully located restaurant with friendly staff.

War mal laky Fan da ich in der Nachbarschaft wohnen.Muss aber sagen,das Essen ist unfassbar schlecht geworden. Frühstücksbuffet mit den Jahren immer kleiner,und jetzt auch noch qualitativ schlecht.Einzig das Ambiente zieht noch,sonst wäre es da leer! Zwei Sterne gibt es von mir lediglich wegen der tollen Mitarbeiter/innen.

We ate two really tasty burgers here on Easter Saturday (cheeseburger and BBQ heaven burger with side dishes). Insider tip: order truffle mayonnaise with the fries! Nice ambience, attentive people and delicious food and drinks at a fair price, that's what I want.

In memory of earlier times, I had made a reservation for 11 people at Lakeside for breakfast on Good Friday for 10 people. I'm visiting my old hometown and was really looking forward to finally having a nice breakfast there again. We ordered the drinks, which also took a long time. Besides us, there was only a large group (about 15 people) and 4-6 other visitors in the restaurant. Then we placed the breakfast order. Then the waiting began. The company behind us was being served, we were still waiting even though we had ordered earlier. After about 1 hour, around half past 12!!! we finally got the first dishes....4 out of 11 and they weren't even complete. It dragged on and my son was now so angry that he complained loudly in front of me. Slowly more food arrived, not all of it and some of it not warm either. For the small children aged 3 and 7 it was only supposed to be a croissant with Nutella...they came last and only after we pointed out the absence. The management gave us a free drink and a discount, but that didn't make up for the broken mood. Even if an employee in the kitchen was unavailable, something like that shouldn't happen in such a poorly attended restaurant. A convection machine is actually able to prepare scrambled eggs, bacon and Nuremberger ratz fatz, I speak from experience. It's a real shame but it was the last time there for me.

The one star goes to the boss who was really friendly and bought a drink and gave a 20% discount!! Everything else is subpar....poor service with even worse quality...waiting times are catastrophic - never again! It's a shame for the really great atmosphere

It took a long time until we had our food and half of it was almost cold. My burger patty wasn't completely cooked through and was very hard. Drinks came after 40 minutes. That was a Thursday morning/lunch, there was hardly anything going on! We sat outside and some of the birds above us did their business right next to our food. This can be easily prevented by removing the light tubes and opting for other decorations. The last time a bird did its business on you... I will most likely not come back. Two times was enough for me

Were on site. Very tasty and super fast service. They have become significantly faster than before. The prices are more towards the upper middle but are definitely justified. The location invites you to take walks in the forest or by the lake. In summer there is outdoor dining, especially for motorcyclists.

We really enjoy going there and have always felt comfortable and eaten deliciously there. Unfortunately, the visit on March 3, 2024 was a big disappointment. We got seats straight away, but then had to wait for three quarters of an hour until someone took an order. Enough young service staff, who were probably not responsible for us, were running around unproductively the whole time. When someone finally attended to us, we were told to wait at least 70 minutes for a burger. Sorry - we left and should have done this much sooner. The team was apparently hopelessly overwhelmed and I hope that this will change as the season progresses.

What a pity.. What happened to you, Lakeside Inn. We had many wonderful days there shortly after it opened about 20 years ago. Watching football together - unfortunately Sky killed that years ago - with suddenly drastically increased and ultimately unaffordable license prices. The really good food remained. Great Sunday breakfast buffets. Fair prices. Great ambience, great terrace, great sandy beach. The house was still packed - OK then COVID came. There is almost nothing left of all of this. The food went really bad after that. However, we tried again today for the second time. Far too long waiting times from ordering to serving the food. Today 40 minutes. On a Wednesday. 6.45 p.m. Then comes Mix Starter Plate, used to be a pleasure, Today the chicken pieces are considered tough, frozen frozen goods and leave a disgusting taste at home until late in the evening. The mozzarella sticks are fried into hard sticks with bad-tasting fat. And then at far too high prices. The Sunday buffet is still quite good, but has also become very expensive. The employees try their best, but the majority don't seem very experienced. Let's hope for much better times in summer, when you can enjoy your cocktail outside on the sand. If the current situation remains, I can't imagine that new customers will come more than once given this exceptionally low level of "cuisine". Get a grip, Lakeside Inn!!

Waiting time of 2 hours, only received one drink at the beginning, after which it was unfortunately impossible to order another.

We were there today on a Sunday. With the nice weather it was full, but doable if the staff were well prepared... We had to wait a few minutes for a table, but that was okay. What wasn't okay was that we sat there for 20 minutes and no one came to take our order. After I spoke to the waitress who took us to our table, she said she would let someone know. After another 10 minutes we left without ordering. Neither did the staff make a good impression, nor was there enough staff at all.

Gruppe von 4 Personen: Als wir ankamen sagte man uns Hauptgerichte würden 45 Min. brauchen und die Vorspeisen 20 Min. Wir warteten 1,15 Stunden und fragten dann nach unseren Vorspeisen die aus Brot mit Dip bestanden und nach 5 Min. bekamen wir diese endlich. Nach weiteren 5 Min. kamen dann direkt unsere Hauptspeisen für 3 von 4 Personen. Nach weiteren 15 Min. fragten wir nach dem Hauptgericht der 4ten Person und erhielten es nach ein paar Minuten dann auch endlich. Es war kalt. Wie kann es sein das man sein Essen nur nach Nachfrage erhält und Vorspeisen mit dem Hauptgericht zusammen serviert werden?! Der Service ist wirklich absolut schlecht und das Essen nur ok. Der Hälfte der Personen hat ihr Essen nicht geschmeckt. Kann dieses Restaurant absolut ich nicht weiter empfehlen. 👎🏻

The food was bad: -Roast potatoes soggy, cold and hardly any taste -Curly Fries unseasoned and also tasteless -Sour cream was liquid yogurt with lots of chives -Burger patty tk? Firm, gristly, fried to death Unfortunately it was a disappointment. After Corona we wanted to give Lakeside another chance but the food is still bad. The service was very friendly, quick and responded to the criticism particularly professionally. However, for almost €50 you could have eaten in a real restaurant instead.

The Lakeside Inn is a cool location, even if it's a lot better in summer than in winter. The food is good and the service too. What really stands out, however, is the ambience, I really liked it and a certain charm that only really comes into its own from spring onwards. Unfortunately, the whole thing is in a cell phone hole and is likely to bother some cell phone-obsessed people. I don't know whether there is now an option to connect to the WiFi network at the Lakeside Inn, but I wanted to point it out.

We had a great family celebration at the Lake Side Inn. Very uncomplicated, friendly and delicious. Grandparents, children, grandchildren, nephews... everyone was happy and content. We'd love to come back.

The four stars only because the food tasted good but we still waited over an hour for it. The service pretty much stopped after we had our food. At around half past nine we began to convert the lower area for brunch, which of course didn't go silently.

So the food and the restaurant are really good, but the fact that you sometimes have to wait an hour (or more) is very annoying. You will then have finished your drink three times

My burger was a disaster, the patty was tough and the bite was like rubber. Without any taste. The buns also looked more like supermarket buns. I paid €55 for 2 burgers with fries and a drink. If I had made the food at home it would have tasted better and been significantly cheaper. Unfortunately not recommended

The location and the ambience are very good. The service could be a little better and more attentive. The food is “upscale” fast food.

Event location in a beautiful position on the Stever and Haltern See. The food is quite good and the atmosphere is American. I can recommend it and we go there every now and then, but mostly because it is close to our bike route.

Eat deliciously and enjoy the location!
