Seoul Korea Restaurant in Ramstein-Miesenbach

I lived in Korea six years in the 80s and 90s, and been enjoying Korean food about 40 years. Seoul restaurant in Ramstein-Miesenbach is one of my Korean wife of 37 years and my favorite Korean restaurants. Highly recommend eating here.

Very friendly Asian woman was our waitress. Unfortunately we did not enjoy the food. It was not very authentic Korean food. This seems to be a good place for watered down Korean flavors for German or very mild American taste buds. I dont think there is a Korean person there or cooking it was just missing so much flavor. I grew up eating Korean food and this was just not it.

Christiana is the best waitress ever. She’s the shining light of the restaurant and her husband is the best cook ever too! Was stationed at Ramstein for years and went almost every week. Best place in town. Christiana and her husband need raises! Also there should be Coke Zero and not coke light. No one likes coke light. That’s my only complaint lol - Nick

A Korean restaurant near Ramstein Air Base. I ordered bulgogi and marinated chicken. They were delicious. The bulgogi (Menu 1) was perfectly marinated in soy sauce and had a sweet and tangy flavor. I can see why it's so popular. The marinated chicken (Menu 18) was actually chicken wings, but they were crispy and the marinade seemed homemade. The subtle ginger flavor cut through the greasiness. It was savory and sweet. I didn't realize the chicken came with rice, but it was perfect for a packed lunch. The kimchi was fresh and the cucumber salad was crunchy and delicious. However, because there were so many takeout orders, we had to wait a bit. The restaurant's atmosphere reminded me of 1980s Korea. It felt like visiting my hometown. The owner is Korean, and you can order in German, English, and Korean. The owner is chic, witty, and nice.

One of the best restaurants around! I get the Yaki Mandu and Beef Bulgogi every time. And Christiana is one of the nicest people in town. Definitely recommend.

Food is very tasty and close to how I remember from my time in Korea. Staff is friendly and the dining area is nice and air conditioned. She offered the food as 'German spicy' or 'Korean spicy'. I appreciate that very much. Although it could have used more spice it was still very delicious. Will be come back again soon!

Really love this local Korean place. Husband and I have been a handful of times now and we’ve always had a great experience. The staff speak English and will treat you right! Food is delicious, my favorite is the Bibimbap.

The S-Bulgogi was incredibly delicious! We even ordered more portions to take home after the meal.

Cash Only!!!! It’s 2025, why are we still doing cash only? Very inconvenient! German young guy server is very rude, could be that’s it’s the culture. I would not hire him for my business. His customer service skills need improvement. From what I understand the owners are Korean but everyone else’s is either a German or an immigrant from another country that’s not Korea. Food doesn’t seem authentic. The lady from Malaysia goes around putting large paper covering on our table covering the plastic table cloth. What’s the paper covering for?

We went to the restaurant for dinner and were very satisfied. The kimbap appetizer was delicious. So were the bibimbap and tofu! Unfortunately, we didn't get banchan, but mistakes are human ;) We'll definitely be back.

What truly made the visit special, though, was the service. Our waitress, Christiana, was incredibly kind, attentive, and such a pleasure to talk to. She made us feel so welcome and taken care of throughout the entire meal. Her warm personality and genuine hospitality really stood out. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend!

I love the beef bulgogi here. Cristiana is so welcoming and friendly, she knows my order by heart and she is always quick to suggest other items if I ever feel like trying something new.

Very clean restaurant, the food is delicious, and the staff is excellent. We were there for the second time today and were served by a super friendly Romanian woman. We'll be back more often in the future...

I give this a big MINUS zero stars. Absolutely NOTHING here is actual AUTHENTIC Korean. Worst dining experience in the 5 plus years here. Food tough and horrid, german waitress mean. I wouldn’t recommend anyone eating here. If you are truly looking for authentic Korean food, do yourself a huge favor and drive to Suzbach. Koogi Korean BBQ is 1000 percent real Korean food.

Food is always amazing! I got the bulgogi and fried rice, I was not disappointed. Christina was very attentive and made fantastic recommendations.

My Absolute favorite place in all of Ramstein, and absolute go to. It's affordable, the portions are filling(this coming from a big girl who eats a lot lol), atmosphere is great and not too loud on busy days, which is always. The owners and staff are personable, real and hardworking people that put love into every meal. The bulgogi is the best I've had in 31 years of life. Highly recommended

Disappointing. If you want to eat authentic Korean food, this is not the right place. Nothing tasted like actual Korean food, The Ddeokbokki was a joke. (See photo reference) The music playing in the background was Chinese, the restaurant owner kept referring to the side dishes as “salad”. When I asked whether they had 파전, no one knew what it meant. Giving three stars because the food did not taste bad. It was decent, just not Korean at all.

We were eating there for the first time with a couple and I have a lot of experience with Korean restaurants because I actively practiced Taekwondo in Germany for years and as athletes we always went out for Korean food after events. The food was really delicious, the service gave us very good advice and we were very satisfied. We can really recommend the restaurant to everyone and will be happy to come back again and again, greetings to the excellent chef and the nice staff

I stopped in for an early Saturday dinner. The lady who seated me was very friendly and attentive. Portions were generous and reasonably priced. My bulgolgi was really good, as was the chicken man du. I will be back for sure!

If you are desperate and miss Korean food, this is the only one in Ramstein to get a Korean fix. Just don't have high expectations however. The side dishes are as simple as it can get and skimpy. The Korean dishes offered are the popular ones -bulgogi, bibimbap etc. The most Korean dishes (that is rarely ordered by non-Koreans) that was shockingly on the menu wasn't even well made. And mandoo/Korean dumplings .. seriously. What the heck? They fry the Korean dumplings with frying batter -that's very un-Korean. This restaurant is owned by Koreans and so I am so puzzled. This restaurant is mediocre at best.

Absolute favourite restaurant in the entire KMC area!!! Me and the spouse are frequent diners here and love the food and staff! They speak great English and the cooking reminds you of a Korean grandmas home cooking. If you’re in the area and looking for some great Korean food or just Asia food in general, make sure to visit here!!! (P.S I got to excited when my food came and ate some of it before I could get a picture)

This place is amazing! The food is a 10/10, the service is a 10/10, and Christiana (one of the friendly servers) is a 10/10! Bring your family and friends for delicious Korean food that you will not find anywhere else!

We came here for dinner after a long hike. The waitress (presumably the owner) was very friendly. The food we ordered was very tasty and also filling. On top of that, there was some free kimchi for those who didn't know to try. If we ever come to Ramstein again, our path will definitely lead us here again. Thank you.

I’ve lived in the area for 5 years. Found out about it and I really am sad that I can’t eat here more often before I leave. The food was great quality and well priced and the customer service is really quite nice, the Korean lady was super sweet and had a ton of great interactions. I’ll probably eat here for lunch quite a bit before I leave.

If you’re looking for something that resembles South Korea this could potentially be it. Something’s on the menu and prices for things i agree and disagree with. 5€ for lettuce for 7 pieces is insane. 12€ for a bottle of soju is wild when across the street charges 5-8€ for one. 13€ for dumplings Mandu when you can get a case across the street for 6€. Again this is just my experience

Very simple restaurant, I actually expected more. It ended at 9:00 p.m. The bill came and in the mail. When it comes to the food, I have to be fair and say that I have no comparison with others and therefore can't give an opinion.

This is the only Korean restaurant around Kaiserslautern area. The staff over here were really pleasant and helpful. We had a Bibimbap and fried rice. Both were decently good. A good dessert option was missing though.

Every time we crave Korean food this is were me and my husband go! I’m obsessed with their fried rice and their bulgogi 🤤 plus the staff is always so friendly and beyond nice!

This is the best Korean restaurant in Ramstein. Our waitress, Christiana, is always awesome and the food is delicious. Props to Sorin in the kitchen! I've tried almost everything on the menu and never had a bad dish.

Cristiana is awesome waitress during lunch and beef bugolgi is to amazing. Never had any issues with anything and food always hot and exact to order.

Update 2....went back and definitely had a better experience. They totally made up for our last bad experience that we had. I can Turely say that they made up for it. By them doing this shows that they really care about their customers and reputation. Thank you for fixing our issue. The food we got was fresh,hot and delicious. I would definitely recommend eating here. They offer alot of great options to choose from. The portion sizes are large. I will be going back again. I highly recommend the crispy chicken ans duck plate. (Update..owner called me back today 29 dec 23 and personally apologized to me. They offered to make it up to us with free food for the misunderstanding and forgetting about us. We are truly looking forward to this makeup. I am glad they are trying to fix the issue. Will update on how the food is on Saturday the 30. Currently 3 stars until we actually eat and can make a decision.) (First post) Made a reservation for 530 for a party of 7 to celebratemy wifes birthday and it was ruined, got there took our drink order then food order waited 3 hours and never got our food. When we left cost us 35 euro for drinks and no food. 1 soju bottle. 5 cokes and 1 bottle of water. They literally forgot about us on the food. currently 1 star until update is made.

Worth a visit. .... but please consider It isn't the largest place and is the only Korean restaurant in the area. Fresh and tasty 😋. You can always find parking along the street OR around the corner at the supermarket.

Cash only but ATM is right across. The food is crazy good. I CONSIDER myself to be Won Ton Soup expert and this place easily battles for the no.1 place, so watch out Krischblütte you got a tough rival here.

Sehr freundliche und lustige Bedienung. Das Essen war sehr lecker und original koreanisch. Leider gab es kein koreanisches Bier, dafür aber Soju. Von der Einrichtung her könnte es etwas koreanischer sein, aber man kann ja nicht alles haben 😁 Die Portionen waren großzügig und sehr schnell serviert worden. Definitiv weiterzuempfehlen!

Outstanding Korean Food at Seoul Restaurant I recently had the pleasure of dining at Seoul Restaurant, where I discovered a delightful selection of amazing Korean cuisine. I’m Korean and grew up cooking and eating authentic and good Korean food. You’ll want to come here. The fried chicken was particularly impressive, with a satisfying crispiness of the double-fried chicken I enjoyed in Korea. She does the Korean fried chicken right, the batter mix is exactly how they do it in Korea and have not found anyone in Germany that does it like Seoul(Come here just for that if anything else.) The sundubu-jjigae, a spicy tofu stew, brought a comforting taste of home and was so flavorful. The bulgogi was deliciously tender and subtly sweet. The kimbap was enjoyable, although not exceptional but still I would order it again. The fresh and spicy cucumbers, sliced radishes, and spicy kimchi complemented the meal perfectly. If you're seeking an amazing Korean dining experience in Germany, Seoul Restaurant is worth a visit. Also, the owner was so sweet and held conversation with many of the customers. Waited 45 minutes for our food to come out. Alright service. The German waitress wasn’t welcoming, but the rest of the staff seemed pleasant. Their “fried chicken” was misleading. It was more of a chicken tonkatsu/snitzel…I was expecting a chicken leg or thigh.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this Korean restaurant in Germany. The service was excellent, and the food offered a mix of hits and misses. The kimchi chigae (soup) had decent flavor but was a bit too runny. To enhance its taste, reducing the amount of water or adding dashi stock could make a difference. Although it lacked the strong flavors of older kimchi, the fresh, homemade taste of the kimchi itself was remarkable. The yakimandeu (fried dumplings) were average, while the bibimbap would benefit from a runny egg, as it's commonly served that way for easy mixing with the vegetables. Unfortunately, the pork bulgogi didn't leave a lasting impression, but it wasn't bad either. The chicken wings were crispy and delicious, albeit with a more Taiwanese or Chinese influence rather than a strictly Korean one. Considering the food was prepared in Germany, it came quite close to authentic Korean cuisine, although it could benefit from some fine-tuning to truly capture the essence. I would definitely return but opt for different dishes to explore the restaurant's variety. Thank you!

Sehr sehr sehr gut! Bestes Kimchi, ob Bulgogi , Misosuppe, Bibimbab, etc….., alles sehr authentisch lecker. Inneneinrichtung ist noch aus früheren Epochen, aber der Service und das Essen sind 5Sterne wert.

Delicious Beef Bulgogi! Good portion for the price. The table also gets a variety of kimchi to share. Service is great. They are cash only. Sometimes you get lucky with parking right out front, otherwise there's a few lots nearby. The door says no dogs allowed.
