A very small restaurant with a charming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the heating was broken or simply not working. Therefore, it was very cold. I was freezing the whole time, which made it quite uncomfortable. The door doesn't close properly and stays open every time it's opened, which only makes the cold worse. The food, however, was absolutely fantastic. The cocktails are also highly recommended. But because of the uncomfortable, cold ambiance, I wouldn't come back.

We expected more. Small sushi restaurant, visually appealing, friendly service, three sushi options, everything seemed fine...but: the decor was a bit worn, the sushi roll was too big for my wife and a bit too spicy, no non-alcoholic beer or hot tea available; we were mistakenly charged for a 0.7-liter bottle of water instead of 0.3 liters...it was quite chilly despite the space heater. None of these issues individually were a problem, but overall there were too many things that weren't good. A shame...

We were regulars, but unfortunately the owner of Senkoi has gone downhill, which we find really sad, as Senkoi Sushi was our favorite restaurant in all of Hamburg! The sushi was very large and thick, making it impossible to enjoy because it all fell apart. 2. There was so much "decoration" on the sushi that you could hardly see it. 3. The platters, dishes, etc., used to be cooler and suited the ambiance, but now everything looks so different. I know it's a point that isn't relevant to some, but sometimes it makes a big difference. 4. In the end, we paid over €80 for two sushi orders and two drinks, which I think is outrageous. If it had at least tasted good, I would have said, "Okay, that's fine." But as it is, I just find it terrible. For that money, you could have eaten something in HafenCity. I don't know what the reason is, but all the changes, the completely declining quality, AND of course, the price ratio are just not good at all. 👎🏻 We unfortunately won't be coming back. The owner is really very, very friendly, though, I have to say!

There are no alcoholic drinks, which is perfectly fine, but all the drinks are very, very expensive. The food is also rather pricey, but it tasted good. Today, according to the advertisement, everything was supposed to be 50% off from 12:30 PM onwards. I arrived promptly at 1:30 PM – nobody was there, the store was closed. Absolutely disappointing and feels like a rip-off. This is no way to treat customers!

A 10/10 sushi experience. The special atmosphere is created by the exclusivity (very small restaurant), the service is first-class and extremely friendly. The food is exceptionally good, visually appealing, and tastes simply outstanding. The appetizers already blew us away (gyoza and spring rolls); they were the best we've ever eaten.

I don't understand how this restaurant can get a rating of 4.9! The service was friendly and the food tasted quite good. The gyoza are 100% not homemade and are deep-fried – I'm not a fan of that. Criticism 1: The menu is absolutely poorly and poorly designed. The same pictures are often used for different dishes. There are 8 dishes on one page. 6 of them have the same picture, and the other 2 dishes also use the same picture. Some prices have been crossed out and corrected. Criticism 2: The prices - the food doesn't really reflect the quality. You really don't get much for your money. The drink prices, however, are ridiculous. Fritz Kola €5, iced tea almost €7. We paid almost €70 and really didn't get much. Criticism 3: Facilities & Cleanliness & Hygiene - The restroom is disgusting and probably hasn't been cleaned in ages. The lid is broken, and old dirt and debris cling to every corner of the room. On the way to the restroom, you can see into the kitchen. It also looked extremely messy and dirty. If I had seen it before, I probably wouldn't have eaten anything. Even when it's busy, you have to manage to keep the kitchen from becoming completely submerged in chaos. The place wasn't particularly busy either—there were no customers in the restaurant, and no delivery drivers were coming. The dining room smelled disgustingly strong of frying oil. We sat outside, and a constant gust of this air escaped. I couldn't have sat inside. The decor takes some getting used to. At the beginning of the restaurant, there's a "wall" filled with water. Bubbles rise up inside. This wall was also dirty and looked covered in algae and smeared. I will definitely not be coming back. This restaurant never deserves 4.9 stars in this condition.

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. First of all, the waitress was unfriendly and seemed as if she didn't want to understand us or really listen. This made our experience unpleasant and uncomfortable from the start. I was guided by the restaurant's high rating, but unfortunately, the reality didn't live up to my expectations. I ordered a Fritz apple spritzer for €4.50. What was served, however, was a heavily diluted spritzer with two ice cubes, which neither tasted nor matched the product's quality. Upon looking at the bill, I also noticed that they had charged me for a juice for €5.95 instead – which, to be honest, outraged me. When I asked, the waitress explained that the Fritz apple spritzer wasn't available and that she had mixed "something of her own" with diluted juice for us instead. The fact that we weren't informed of this is unacceptable to me. They didn't tell us that the drink we wanted wasn't available, nor did they ask if we'd like an alternative. It's not my job to guess what's available or to simply serve me something instead—that's simply unprofessional. The drink was definitely not worth the price, and the glass wasn't clean. The only positive point: The sushi rolls tasted good. However, the fried rolls were so large that they were difficult to eat. Overall, I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired, and I was disappointed with the service.

The best sushi in all of Hamburg. Beautifully decorated, and the staff are so friendly. My boyfriend and I only waited 15-20 minutes for our sushi, and we still got free spring rolls to cover the wait. The sushi rolls are also large, so the price is worth it. Everything was absolutely perfect.

We came here at our daughter's birthday request. All we can say is that we had a wonderful time and would love to return. The food was delicious and generously portioned; the truffle mayonnaise, not usually my cup of tea, is delicious here and goes perfectly with the sushi! The service was unobtrusive and very friendly, so we give it 5***** in all categories.

The newly brought glass was also dirty. Service: We received a friendly greeting and the food was brought quickly, especially because we were the only guests. Food: The menu promises premium sushi, which it is far from. It tasted very fishy, which speaks for inferior quality. The plate was beautifully presented and the portions were sufficiently large. In terms of taste, the value for money was not at all good. You get different drinks than those listed on the menu, but you pay full price (0.2 l Coca-Cola instead of 0.33 l Fritz-Cola). A rhubarb spritzer costs €7!!!! Prices: We paid €90 for two people and had plenty of sushi. Nevertheless, the prices are unreasonable and do not reflect the true quality of the product. We will not recommend this restaurant.

Senkoi Sushi really impressed me! Everything was freshly prepared, lovingly presented, and tasted perfect. The nigiri and rolls were perfectly rolled, and the fish was super tender. I particularly liked the salmon tataki, and the slightly warm maki were a nice change. The service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The ambiance is modern but cozy; you immediately feel at home. Definitely one of the best sushi experiences I've had in Hamburg. I'll be back soon!

The sushi lacks finesse, even though it's presented quite well. The decor is atrocious, the smell unpleasant, the music inappropriate (house/dance, like in a bar), and the welcome cold and haughty. Senkoi Sushi on Lange Reihe serves really good sushi in large portions – the taste is top-notch! The prices are quite high, though, so it's not for those on a tight budget. If you arrive early, you can usually get a seat easily, but it fills up quickly during peak times – a reservation is definitely worth it. The server was super friendly and attentive, so overall, a very pleasant visit!

It's quite small and cramped. If you can, I recommend taking a table outside. We had a bit of a wait. The sushi is expensive, around €14-20 for 8 pieces. However, it's very good and original, with delicious flavors and textures. But I don't think it's really worth the price, unfortunately. If you have the budget, I recommend it, but otherwise it might be expensive. Thank you for the service, which was pleasant nonetheless!

It was worth a visit to Senkoi Sushi. Everything was simply amazing. I ordered the crispy IB Sticks as an appetizer. They were absolutely delicious. They came with teriyaki sauce and truffle mayo, by the way. I highly recommend it. Then I had the platter for two, which was also incredibly delicious, and the service was friendly.

The location of the restaurant is also super central. This allows for a quick route and is also perfect for those of us who travel by public transport. All in all, all I can really say is; TOP restaurant and definitely worth a visit if you come from Hamburg or are visiting Hamburg! The price-performance ratio is more than just good! The prices are nothing for the fact that the food is prepared super fresh and hygienically and in such a great location. The restaurant is worth every cent! I will 100% come back!!!

Great for ordering, but the restaurant itself is no longer recommended; it's been run down since it opened. The decor is unkempt and very dirty, the seating is worn and stained everywhere, and the restrooms have never been cleaned. It's a shame, but you can still order food!

Very good sushi, unfortunately no alcoholic drinks (not even bottles of beer). Interior is in urgent need of renovation (PVC in the shop torn up, table wobbles, sofa sagging, toilets without words). Pity really has potential.

We were in this restaurant for the first and last time today. The invoice was incorrect and the store is very small. The seating is completely broken - if you sit down you sink into a hole. The prices are very high and there are hidden costs. We ordered the Valentine's Day menu for two: two cocktails, two starters, a main course and a dessert. The lady said that we could get the menu for three people for 35 euros more. However, she only brought an additional starter - so for 35 euros only one more cocktail! Everything was served extremely quickly, the staff seemed rushed, and it was very cramped and uncomfortable. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Unfortunately our evening was disappointing. The sushi consisted almost entirely of fried ingredients. Three cocktails, two starters, a main menu and a dessert 120 euros

The food was delicious but the shop really needs a renovation. Very small shop, floor was broken, cobwebs on the walls, stains, unclean water glass...

I wouldn't want to go there a second time! It's important to mention that the store is really small. A lot of things would have to be rethought. It would be wise to renovate the store, set up a few fewer tables and swap the armchairs for sturdy but delicate chairs in order to create more comfort for visiting customers. As an owner, it's best to have realistic assessments of customers and not accept all reservations at once. The size of the store simply doesn't allow for that, it creates a bad mood for the guests and makes work more difficult for the staff.

There are two people in such a small shop and you still have to wait forever. Simply taking any prices here seems to be standard. The bill was wrong back and forth. You can only pay in cash, which is very questionable. The toilet is really disgusting and the inventory is really rancid. Our eyes burned all evening. The one star goes to the kitchen, because the sushi is really great! But ultimately it's more of a shop to walk on rather than in!
