Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. First of all, the waitress was unfriendly and seemed as if she didn't want to understand us or really listen. This made our experience unpleasant and uncomfortable from the start. I was guided by the restaurant's high rating, but unfortunately, the reality didn't live up to my expectations. I ordered a Fritz apple spritzer for €4.50. What was served, however, was a heavily diluted spritzer with two ice cubes, which neither tasted nor matched the product's quality. Upon looking at the bill, I also noticed that they had charged me for a juice for €5.95 instead – which, to be honest, outraged me. When I asked, the waitress explained that the Fritz apple spritzer wasn't available and that she had mixed "something of her own" with diluted juice for us instead. The fact that we weren't informed of this is unacceptable to me. They didn't tell us that the drink we wanted wasn't available, nor did they ask if we'd like an alternative. It's not my job to guess what's available or to simply serve me something instead—that's simply unprofessional. The drink was definitely not worth the price, and the glass wasn't clean. The only positive point: The sushi rolls tasted good. However, the fried rolls were so large that they were difficult to eat. Overall, I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired, and I was disappointed with the service.

This small and unassuming shop is a real highlight! The service was first-class, and the food was absolutely delicious! The staff was very courteous, attentive, and warm!

The best sushi in all of Hamburg. Beautifully decorated, and the staff are so friendly. My boyfriend and I only waited 15-20 minutes for our sushi, and we still got free spring rolls to cover the wait. The sushi rolls are also large, so the price is worth it. Everything was absolutely perfect.

The sushi was good. However, the place was very small and cramped. It was cold inside, and I felt more like I was in a local snack bar. The waitresses seemed to prefer chatting with acquaintances. But the worst part was the completely exorbitant prices for everything.

We came here at our daughter's birthday request. All we can say is that we had a wonderful time and would love to return. The food was delicious and generously portioned; the truffle mayonnaise, not usually my cup of tea, is delicious here and goes perfectly with the sushi! The service was unobtrusive and very friendly, so we give it 5***** in all categories.

We were guided by the many good reviews. It's absolutely incomprehensible how this restaurant has so many stars. Cleanliness: The glasses provided on the tables were used or not sufficiently cleaned. The newly brought glass was also dirty. Service: We received a friendly greeting and the food was brought quickly, especially because we were the only guests. Food: The menu promises premium sushi, which it is far from. It tasted very fishy, which speaks for inferior quality. The plate was beautifully presented and the portions were sufficiently large. In terms of taste, the value for money was not at all good. You get different drinks than those listed on the menu, but you pay full price (0.2 l Coca-Cola instead of 0.33 l Fritz-Cola). A rhubarb spritzer costs €7!!!! Prices: We paid €90 for two people and had plenty of sushi. Nevertheless, the prices are unreasonable and do not reflect the true quality of the product. We will not recommend this restaurant.

I've rarely eaten such bad sushi. I don't understand all the positive reviews. There's far too much sauce, and the flavors don't match. The service was nice.

The black-haired waiter was very, very friendly. 5 stars for that alone! The sushi itself is also really great 👍. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and you feel at home. I would eat there every day if I could :)

Senkoi Sushi really impressed me! Everything was freshly prepared, lovingly presented, and tasted perfect. The nigiri and rolls were perfectly rolled, and the fish was super tender. I particularly liked the salmon tataki, and the slightly warm maki were a nice change. The service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The ambiance is modern but cozy; you immediately feel at home. Definitely one of the best sushi experiences I've had in Hamburg. I'll be back soon!

The sushi lacks finesse, even though it's presented quite well. The decor is atrocious, the smell unpleasant, the music inappropriate (house/dance, like in a bar), and the welcome cold and haughty. I don't recommend it; there are other sushi restaurants nearby that would certainly do the job better.

Ate there because of the social media hype! Sushi was good! The rest was a no-go! Stained, worn furniture, sticky/slippery floor (could be grease, which is what it smells like everywhere), and the restroom was a disgrace! All in all, a rather dingy appearance! The food was good! Senkoi Sushi on Lange Reihe serves really good sushi in large portions – the taste is top-notch! The prices are quite high, though, so it's not for those on a tight budget. If you arrive early, you can usually get a seat easily, but it fills up quickly during peak times – a reservation is definitely worth it. The server was super friendly and attentive, so overall, a very pleasant visit!

We went to this restaurant because it has extremely high reviews. In the end, we were a little disappointed. We ate inside, but unfortunately there was a rather strong and unpleasant smell inside. It's quite small and cramped. If you can, I recommend taking a table outside. We had a bit of a wait. The sushi is expensive, around €14-20 for 8 pieces. However, it's very good and original, with delicious flavors and textures. But I don't think it's really worth the price, unfortunately. If you have the budget, I recommend it, but otherwise it might be expensive. Thank you for the service, which was pleasant nonetheless!

I don't understand how this restaurant can get a rating of 4.9! The service was friendly and the food tasted quite good. The gyoza are 100% not homemade and are deep-fried – I'm not a fan of that. Criticism 1: The menu is absolutely poorly and poorly designed. The same pictures are often used for different dishes. There are 8 dishes on one page. 6 of them have the same picture, and the other 2 dishes also use the same picture. Some prices have been crossed out and corrected. Criticism 2: The prices - the food doesn't really reflect the quality. You really don't get much for your money. The drink prices, however, are ridiculous. Fritz Kola €5, iced tea almost €7. We paid almost €70 and really didn't get much. Criticism 3: Facilities & Cleanliness & Hygiene - The restroom is disgusting and probably hasn't been cleaned in ages. The lid is broken, and old dirt and debris cling to every corner of the room. On the way to the restroom, you can see into the kitchen. It also looked extremely messy and dirty. If I had seen it before, I probably wouldn't have eaten anything. Even when it's busy, you have to manage to keep the kitchen from becoming completely submerged in chaos. The place wasn't particularly busy either—there were no customers in the restaurant, and no delivery drivers were coming. The dining room smelled disgustingly strong of frying oil. We sat outside, and a constant gust of this air escaped. I couldn't have sat inside. The decor takes some getting used to. At the beginning of the restaurant, there's a "wall" filled with water. Bubbles rise up inside. This wall was also dirty and looked covered in algae and smeared. I will definitely not be coming back. This restaurant never deserves 4.9 stars in this condition.

It was worth a visit to Senkoi Sushi. Everything was simply amazing. I ordered the crispy IB Sticks as an appetizer. They were absolutely delicious. They came with teriyaki sauce and truffle mayo, by the way. I highly recommend it. Then I had the platter for two, which was also incredibly delicious, and the service was friendly.

Great for ordering, but the restaurant itself is no longer recommended; it's been run down since it opened. The decor is unkempt and very dirty, the seating is worn and stained everywhere, and the restrooms have never been cleaned. It's a shame, but you can still order food!

Despite reservations being confirmed several times (both months in advance and the day before), the restaurant was unexpectedly completely closed without any information as to the reason. It also said on the internet and on the maps that it was open.

Very good sushi, unfortunately no alcoholic drinks (not even bottles of beer). Interior is in urgent need of renovation (PVC in the shop torn up, table wobbles, sofa sagging, toilets without words). Pity really has potential.

Great food, freshly prepared and looked really great. The only thing is that the shop is so small that you can almost walk past it. And the table directly at the checkout apparently unfortunately has a look behind the checkout and the counter.

I wouldn't want to go there a second time! It's important to mention that the store is really small. A lot of things would have to be rethought. It would be wise to renovate the store, set up a few fewer tables and swap the armchairs for sturdy but delicate chairs in order to create more comfort for visiting customers. As an owner, it's best to have realistic assessments of customers and not accept all reservations at once. The size of the store simply doesn't allow for that, it creates a bad mood for the guests and makes work more difficult for the staff.

We were in this restaurant for the first and last time today. The invoice was incorrect and the store is very small. The seating is completely broken - if you sit down you sink into a hole. The prices are very high and there are hidden costs. We ordered the Valentine's Day menu for two: two cocktails, two starters, a main course and a dessert. The lady said that we could get the menu for three people for 35 euros more. However, she only brought an additional starter - so for 35 euros only one more cocktail! Everything was served extremely quickly, the staff seemed rushed, and it was very cramped and uncomfortable. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Unfortunately our evening was disappointing. The sushi consisted almost entirely of fried ingredients. Three cocktails, two starters, a main menu and a dessert 120 euros

There are two people in such a small shop and you still have to wait forever. Simply taking any prices here seems to be standard. The bill was wrong back and forth. You can only pay in cash, which is very questionable. The toilet is really disgusting and the inventory is really rancid. Our eyes burned all evening. The one star goes to the kitchen, because the sushi is really great! But ultimately it's more of a shop to walk on rather than in!

We both chose a menu, 1-2 variants were rather meaningless, the rest were great. As a starter there were 3 spring rolls on the house, which was nice. However, 3 roles for 2 people are rather inconvenient. At first glance, the ambience with the water walls also looks cool. If you take a closer look, some things urgently need to be renovated. The facility is cheap. The chairs were completely dirty, from dust balls in the cracks to stains everywhere. The front door is stuck and you can hardly get it open. The toilet is tiny and not clean either. Our eyes burned all evening because the whole store smelled like onions, so bad that our eyes watered. In general the man in service was trying hard. However, the truffle mayo was forgotten and the bill was not correct at all. We wanted to pay separately, but the lady couldn't calculate it at the table and had to go back and do the bill again (2 menus, 2 drinks, actually simple). But then the calculations were wrong again. In addition, you cannot pay by card and there was not enough change. So unfortunately I would say it was nice, but the store is too small and the service is too bad for more stars.

A few days ago we ate sushi at Senkoi, it wasn't the first time nor the last time. The food was really delicious and one of the best sushis I have eaten. The staff is really very friendly so you feel comfortable. It is definitely recommended.

The service here is AWFUL, for starters, if you go to this restaurant you will notice that you cannot pay by card “momentarily”, this is a lie, we have been to this restaurant several times months ago and the card was still not accepted, probably so as not to declare everything… Then, the prices are incredibly high for sushi, it is twice as expensive as any other sushi here, and that is not my opinion not at all justified by the quality food. The wait is also endless, 30 minutes for a restaurant which has around 5 tables, and 3 of which were already served, this is not normal. But the worst is undoubtedly the staff, when we went there, there were 3 women behind the counter, they were doing absolutely nothing except laughing with each other, you have to call them for absolutely everything or else they won't don't come, when they take your order, they have AirPods in their ears, in short, a service that is very far from professional. Last point, we went there for the offer that they had posted on their Instagram indicating that all menus were 50% off, however when we received the bill (after they had done it twice because , not being professional and not knowing how to make an addition, they made a mistake twice), the amount was not equal to 50% of the price indicated on the menu, then when we told them, they laughed saying that the price was good. After proving to them by using the calculator to subtract a 5 year old child, that the price indicated was not equal to half the price on the menu, they just said that the prices on the menu were a mistake and that their boss had told them others (I don't even think it's legal). So we paid and they were 10 cents short of giving change (surprising for a restaurant that only takes cash), not wanting to give even a 10 cent tip to idiots like that, we told them told to find them however they could, and like magic 10 cents finally appeared. In the end, this restaurant is no longer what it was, the prices are too expensive, misleading, and the service is as unpleasant as possible, run away.

Unfortunately, I had the experience that customers here are literally "shooed away" to make room for other customers - even though they haven't finished eating and drinking yet. This behavior seems extremely rude and unprofessional. Something like this is unacceptable to me and I will avoid this place in the future.

That was my worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. First, the table next to me was told that it was needed and to please hurry up. The plate arrived 15 minutes ago and was still about half full. The girls literally had to stuff themselves with the sushi. When they were gone, the waitress came to my table and cleared the table. I was shocked when she wanted to take my full glass without comment and took it from her hand and said that I was still drinking it. She then said that she needed the table because she had reservations and we should please leave and I should drink faster. That too twice more. Something so disrespectful doesn't work at all. I made the reservation myself and wasn't given a time slot. We were also there for just 50 minutes, of which we waited 30 minutes for the food. At the end I could still listen to insults. Sushi is not a to-go snack but something you want to enjoy. Unfortunately that is not possible here because the way customers are treated is bottom drawer. Furniture is also extremely uncomfortable and everything is rather run down and very cold. Save yourself the walk there. There are enough good sushi restaurants with professional service in Hamburg.

Very nice modern shop in the long row. Small but nice. Everything is just perfect there. The food, the service, the Asian local feeling you get there, the prices and the waiting time. Everything was top notch. I was never a sushi fan back then, I always thought that sushi couldn't be tasty until I had eaten at Senkoi. It was love at first sight. When I tried the chicken roll sushi for the first time I was amazed at how delicious sushi can taste:) I can only recommend everyone to go there. I have been a big fan of Senkoi Sushi and have visited the restaurant often. The food was always delicious and I was always happy to recommend it to others. But after my last visit I'm just disappointed. My girlfriend and I had a reservation at 6:00 p.m. and were looking forward to a relaxing evening. But the service was extremely unfriendly. Although there were several tables available, we were pressured to vacate the table even though we hadn't finished. It was particularly shocking when my friend was still drinking her cocktail and the waitress shouted at her: “Then drink faster!” Something like that doesn't work at all. The bill was simply slapped on the counter and the tone remained disrespectful throughout. The food may continue to be great, but I definitely won't be coming back after this experience. This kind of treatment of guests is completely unacceptable and completely ruined our evening.

Tastiest sushi from Hamburg so far, I'd love to come back more often

Something so cheeky and disrespectful has never happened to me in all my years of restaurant experience. We were simply expelled from our table after 40 minutes and told to leave because the table was needed. After we argued that we weren't told this because otherwise we would have gone somewhere else. We just got yelled at stupidly. Really never again!!!

Was invited here for dinner. If the entrance door is stuck, it's difficult to get it open. Restaurant very small, 6 tables with 16 seats. Tables are very close together, you can hear every word at the neighboring table. Furnishings very stylish and modern. The menu only had a QR code, the waitress could have told us yes when she seated us. We sat at the table and waited for the menu. 15 minutes later she came to the table and wanted to take the order, only then were we pointed out the QR code. Sushi was very nicely prepared but tasted just okay. There was no dessert on the menu, but there was a chocolate pudding with cream on the house, but only a chocolate pudding with two spoons for two people. The next morning at home I noticed that all the clothes I had on that evening, including my jacket, smelled like a chip shop.

Worst sushi I've ever eaten. Rice old. Sushi no taste. Edamame breaks apart when touched. Anyone who calls that good hasn't tried real sushi.

Extremely nice spot, really tasty sushi and a different taste thanks to the special breading on the fried sushi + very courteous service 🌹 I live outside, but would always stop by when I'm in Hamburg. Rarely have I been so satisfied, thank you very much!

The food was very good, but unfortunately it was far too cold in the restaurant, some of the employees were unfriendly and people used headphones to talk on the phone and sit visibly on the counter while ordering

Once and never again!!! Had sushi in the restaurant in January. The shop was cold and we were freezing. Food was good. The facility is already very run down. Card payment not possible. When I got the bill, I was given a dish that was 10 euros more expensive. Because of these lists, I didn't want to leave a tip, but there was no change in the cash register, so I was forced to round up to the nearest 5. Probably better to order online and check the invoice carefully.

Sushi was brutally delicious <3 It couldn't be better and it's hard to beat the price with the current ongoing promotion [50% off all menus]. Ambience is very, very small, cramped and cozy. Places are very, very limited and you definitely have to reserve. A highlight are the places on the water wall, great pictures and atmosphere. It didn't really work out well despite making a reservation, it was disillusioning that we had to get up during the meal and sit at another table :[ that's impossible!!! Non-alcoholic cocktail was very tasty but also expensive at almost 8-10€. The staff was very friendly but when more people arrived it was a bit hectic and hustle and bustle!!! Overall, I would say it was a great experience with a few small negative aspects. The shop could also be renovated again, it looks a bit worn out, the toilet was funny / mini but so far okkkk!!!

Very tasty 😋. In my opinion the best sushi from Hamburg. Mega nice staff and perfect service. We always enjoy coming back.
