The sushi was incredibly delicious. We had crunchy chicken and creamy chicken and loved it. It's significantly more expensive than usual, though. The location is very nicely decorated. The service was friendly, but we received the wrong bill three times! That was annoying. The Neotaste deal was discussed; I'll check in advance whether the deal is still valid, even if I've booked it.

Good food, nice ambiance, but very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to redeem a NeoTaste voucher due to a "change in the cash register."

Completely happy... I ordered two different sushi dishes. One with duck, avocado, and cucumber, and one with tuna and avocado.... Incredibly delicious and beautifully presented... The atmosphere was very inviting, and the staff very friendly...

With no expectations, we happened upon Sencha Sushi, very hungry. The prices initially seemed very exclusive, but we still wanted to order. The very friendly staff member pointed us to the special offer (Tuesday & Wednesday), and we decided to go for it. We truly had the best sushi of our lives. Excellent in taste and absolutely special and lovingly presented. Despite being very hungry, we couldn't finish the entire meal and took the remaining wine and the large portion of sushi with us. We will definitely eat here again on our next trip to Hamburg.

Sencha Restaurant & Bar is a total gem—beautifully designed with a cozy, stylish vibe and some of the best sushi we’ve had. The rolls are super fresh, creative, and beautifully presented (truffle, gold flakes, the works). Watching the chefs work in the open kitchen adds a fun touch, and the service is friendly and smooth. A bit on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it for the quality and experience. Can’t wait to go back!

Good service and extremely delicious food.

The Pad Thai itself is very tasty and perfectly seasoned. However, for me personally, it was too greasy and left a bit heavy on the stomach. It's a nice, quiet place to sit outside. Seat cushions would be nice to make the steel chairs more comfortable.

Highly recommended, with a very large selection of Asian dishes, cocktails, etc. Very friendly service, cozy outdoor area.

On Sunday afternoon, the two of us enjoyed the Master Selection and the house lemonade. The sushi and sashimi were freshly prepared, creatively presented, and appetizingly. The taste was unbelievably delicious! The lemonade was of the same high standard. Our attentive service made the whole experience perfect. The price is reasonable for this culinary experience.

The staff was very inattentive. We couldn't read the memory card on our phone display and asked if someone could help us. The employee barely listened and kept watching what the other employees were doing. We asked if they had dishes with noodles and chicken. She recommended something, which we then ordered. It wasn't chicken, but tofu. When we asked, we were told she hadn't been listening. That was crucial.

We regularly came here for the sushi lunch menu. It was amazing. Super tasty and great value for money. Now they have a lunch menu like an Asian fast food restaurant. (See photo). Sushi wasn't even available for an extra charge. Very disappointing. They should change the name.

A completely disappointing visit – and definitely our last. The staff were completely clueless and disinterested. The food was of poor quality, obviously not fresh, and had an unpleasant odor. After we returned the dish, the restaurant owner showed no courtesy or professionalism. Instead, she scolded her own staff in front of us – absolutely unacceptable and embarrassing. The exorbitant prices for such poor service and abysmal quality are outrageous. Not recommended!

We initially just wanted a coffee and then got hungry. It was a lucky break for us. If we're ever in Hamburg again, we wouldn't hesitate to look for a place and would stop here again. Unfortunately, the fish menu is much too large for two, and the fish sashimi pieces in particular weren't bite-sized. The yellowtail even had the skin on it and lots of gray bits. My recommendation is to put together your own.

The sushi is delicious, but expensive, and it takes about 20 minutes to arrive. Service is very slow, even though only three tables were occupied. We waited a long time for drinks. I had to cancel one order because we had to leave for another event. When I asked why it took so long for the drinks, the staff replied that it was a misunderstanding. She probably forgot.

We went to Sencha and both ordered the Grilled Salmon for our main course. The food tasted okay, but nothing particularly special. For starters, we had the Wakame Avo Boat and the Cucumber Avo Boat – the flavors were also rather average and nothing particularly outstanding. The main course portion was also a bit small. We found the price a bit too high for the quality offered. However, the homemade cocktails deserve special mention; they were really good.

We were there yesterday and were told we can sit down and when we walked through the one young waitress said, “Please sit here, don't just walk through”. This is how it started... 8 sushis for 21€ and non-alcoholic cocktails looked delicious but didn't taste good and cost 10€. The other young waitress took the order incorrectly and served it 25 minutes later and then they said “I remember it like that”. We are sure that we didn't order that and there were 5 of us who heard that and then as a waitress you simply say in the future "Then I misunderstood it, I'll take it back with me. Sorry!" The card is divided into 4 qr codes that load every 10 seconds because there is no network in the store, so I think a qr code would be better and then you should be able to choose between food, drinks, etc. Everything was clean and nice location. Maybe fix the problem with the QR codes, and tell the waitresses that they should be friendlier sometimes and maybe just take the blame even if it's really the customer's fault because you don't want to make the customer feel like they've made a mistake.

Nice quiet shop that has a lot to offer. We had the Spicy Tuna Tartare, the California Rolls and Maki with Salmon Tartare. Everything put together excellently. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful interior. Delicious sushi. Beautiful presentation of tartare and from the sushi chef. Prices are slightly above average. Since we didn’t end up in the restaurant we wanted, we quite enjoyed it.

Hello, It's a real shame, the restaurant made a good impression from the outside and seemed inviting. However, you quickly noticed that the waitress was having a hard time dealing with the large crowd since she was alone. As a result, ordering and delivering everything took a very long time. The food was then delivered incorrectly or things were added to save money on shushi. We were told that the avocado would have had to be cut separately, which is why it was spontaneously filled with cashew nuts, which I am allergic to, so we couldn't eat it. For others, the avocado was left out completely. Prices are relatively high. Unfortunately, we left the store hungry after 1st stay.

The sushi was outstanding and the price was completely justified. The starters and drinks, however, are not adequately priced. Unfortunately, the service is very secular and down-to-earth for the ambience and price range. We would go again for sushi.

It was tasty, but not classic sushi for me, but rather great combinations with raw fish. Unfortunately, the tuna nigiri was cut too thickly from the lean part of the fish and the rice had too much flavor - white rice would have been better for the fish. Price performance ratio doesn't suit me. Service was okay.

We ate at Sencha Sushi a while ago, actually just because we wanted to eat something quick late in the evening. Since then, we've used it as our comparison for the best sushi we've ever had. It was incredibly good, but a little more expensive than usual. However, I think you notice that you get something in return for the money. I'm already looking forward to the next time!

So the first thing you notice is that it is very stylishly furnished - from the bar to the decoration. The drinks are also good and some with a special Asian twist. But the prices for the food are really a bit high :/ so we just decided on a drink and moved on. Unfortunately, the impression that remains was only average and more appearance than reality.

Worst experience!!! Reserved and still got an uncomfortable seat :( even though there were enough free tables. Waited for a relatively long time to order drinks and had to watch the service lady take an order from another table that came after us. We left immediately and are never coming back! We can't rate the food but the service is a complete disaster! It's a shame, we were looking forward to the evening there!

"Sushi-rice" made of basmati rice??? Cucumber-salad cut into microscopic pieses not eadible by chopstics??? Normal everidge quality "take-away" Rolls for 25-30 eur per roll??? 3 pcs of Moti icecream from "Rewe" for 10 eur??? Is this all true? I thought we visited an average "subway station" take-away shop. NOT a restaurant in the center of Hamburg 🤷‍♂️

The best sushi I've eaten in a long time. The chef's selection is breathtaking and very varied in taste. Everything was simply 1A, definitely again.

Unfortunately very bad service. Reserved 2 days ago and there is no reservation today. It is also very annoying that you are then assumed to have not made a reservation at all. Very unprofessional. Mistakes can happen, but it's not possible to be dismissed in such an unprofessional and unfriendly manner.

First of all, we were happy that we got a table. However, in the entrance hallway. The remaining tables were reserved. Afterwards there was no staff in sight for about 15 minutes. From then on things went too fast. We were only halfway through our edamame when the crunchy set was already placed on the rather small table. Of the 4 varieties, 2 were quite good, but not really anything special. If you add the other two, the price/performance is already over, unfortunately. Even if you are in HH.

It was really delicious! However, it is better to reserve in advance in order to get a nice spot.

The sushi is really tasty, but the sushi pieces are a bit big and you really have problems eating them properly. Unfortunately the service wasn't good. No asking whether it tastes good or whether you want to order anything else. You noticed that they wanted to get off work on time and you weren't even said goodbye. Once and never again. Simply too expensive for that.

Delicious sushi served in a well designed restaurant. The staff is friendly and the various dishes we tried were made beautifully. Despite that, we came to the conclusion that the prices are just too high for the all-in experience and quality off the sushi. Simply adding more expensive ingredients to sushi does not necessarily make the sushi taste better. For these prices we expected a bit more.

Best restaurant we've ever been to! A very nice, modern and quiet atmosphere. The service was very good. They were very flexible with extra requests. You can watch the kitchen prepare it and see how much effort they put into it. Taste wise a 10/10, highly recommended.

Food was amazing, really recommendable. Would love to visit again for sure! Please understand that I personally have a high expectation regarding service. This part can be improved a bit, I think. But overall, Sencha is a real hidden gem in Hafencity.

Unfortunately very disappointing. We had to wait 50 minutes for our drinks. We were simply ignored. The service is rather bad. Unfortunately not recommended. Food was good, but nothing special and completely overpriced. The competition offers more for less money!

I'm really shocked at how this store operates. The service is incredibly slow, not attentive enough and sometimes doesn't know much about the food. Drinks were no longer carbonated. The dishes are carelessly prepared at ATRONOMIC PRICES. We paid almost €100 for a sushi plate (vegetarian) and a dessert as well as two drinks. The prices correspond to the high quality, the sushi corresponds to the maximum delivery service level. The dessert was colored blue without any indication on the menu and had a stale taste and contained old rice. Since the waitress never asked us how it tasted, we paid without comment and left. NEVER AGAIN!

We were in a hurry before going to a concert. We were immediately given a nice seat at the bar and, at our request, the food very quickly. great, very friendly and attentive service. The sushi was excellent, fresh, crispy, delicious - high quality ingredients and imaginatively put together and prepared. really very good. Modern, spacious atmosphere. We visited Sensha Sushi Bar & Restaurant with a group of six for lunch. The food was consistently delicious. I had miso soup, a small salad, teriyaki duck signature rolls and rice with fresh chicken. Everything was wonderfully prepared and tasted excellent. The peppermint tea was prepared in a traditional way, which left a good impression. The menu is clearly laid out, which makes choosing easier. The four different menus are particularly practical, each with its own QR code – two for drinks and two for food. This makes it easy to access the desired map quickly and easily. The value for money is excellent and you get really good food for the money. A small downside was the service. The service seemed a little overwhelmed by the number of guests, which was noticeable in our group. Even though she tried her best, little things like asking for salt sometimes took up to five minutes. This is understandable considering that there may have been a shortage of staff. With an additional person in the team, a noticeable reduction in workload could be achieved, which would make the guest experience even more pleasant. It is important to emphasize that the waitress really did her best and the situation was not due to her efforts. Overall, Sensha Sushi Bar & Restaurant is a good choice for delicious sushi and a pleasant atmosphere. With a small adjustment in personnel management, the experience could be even better.

Super tasty. Shines with extraordinary compositions. Not run-of-the-mill sushi and of fantastic quality. Of course the whole store is also an eye-catcher. Unfortunately we were only there at lunchtime, but I can imagine that the bar atmosphere in the evening would create completely different impressions. We will definitely come back.

I had dinner at Sencha with my husband today. We felt very taken care of. The service was just great. She gave us great tips and gave us very good advice. She was very attentive, which is unfortunately not a given today. Thank you for the lovely evening.

I took a master selection set and it was amazing, I was impressed by amount of fish they put in rolls and sushi. Moreover their location is very nice and a waitress named Sepideh was very professional and friendly. I will definitely come again:)

We came to the restaurant on a Saturday evening to test the sushi hot dog that was advertised on Instagram. However, we were told on site that this was a lunch menu and that it would only be available during the week. However, it didn't even appear on the menu. What we saw on the menu, however, was that the prices were terribly expensive. €23 for 8 sushi rolls is absolutely excessive. The sushi can be so good. However, the service and the ambience were very good - but still not convincing enough to eat something there.

We arrived in Hamburg on Sunday afternoon and had dinner there. The portions and the service (Mrs. Ashami?) were very, very nice, helpful and courteous! The food was really great so we had nothing to complain about! Gladly again!

Really recommended, the atmosphere is very nice, the prices are great, the food is very tasty and a little tip on the side, the sushi dog is a must try. We'd love to come back.
