Super beautifully decorated restaurant! Waiters are friendly and accommodating. The menu is available via QR code, but we were told directly after we sat down. Portions are decent (possibly a bit too much). Vegetarian food came out quickly and tasted good. Chopsticks were available upon request. Prices correspond to performance. Cons: Mostly quite crowded and loud, drinks tasted very watery, there are only 2 vegan dishes

We are regulars at Mama Than and since it is open today, we wanted to try another place, Sen was recommended to us. We ordered three (main) dishes to take away. It was anything but edible. The meat and the sauces were unseasoned; among other things, the sauces were either far too thick or completely watery. The rice was anything but good rice, at least compared to what we have experienced so far. We absolutely cannot understand this hype. It really hurt to get such quality for that money.

Update: 12/6/24: The Sen has increased again. Super great new premises, best service and super delicious food at reasonable prices. The food was good. The selection is okay. The rest.... Oh well. You get a QR code placed on the table, there is no classic menu. An alternative for people without a smartphone? I can't answer this question because we were able to read the QR code. We sat outside, the service staff was seen sporadically. We were served by someone who didn't speak German very well and I didn't always have the impression that he understood us when we ordered. This impression came true the moment he brought some of the sushi he had ordered and then nothing happened for a long time. When we ordered, we expressly said that both portions ordered should be brought to the rest of the group with the main courses. However, the real hit came when we paid! Before even one person was told the amount of their bill, we were told “tips only in cash!” thrown at the head. I've never experienced that before.

Centrally located restaurant where the food is spectacular. All the food itself was very good, and we finished it because of its flavor because we ordered a little too much, as you can see. To start we ordered the All in one Sushi menu to try a little of everything; They were all delicious and the fish seemed fresh. Then we ordered a Pho bo, which in itself was quite good and filling. I had a piece of lime to add a little and complete the flavor mix! And the Sot Xoai itself was ten; The battered chicken was just right, the mango sauce was perfect, and we finished it all by mixing it with the rice! Very good in itself, and they got everything out of us pretty quickly.

We were very disappointed today! The summer rolls had no taste and were incredibly bland and the peanut sauce was very tart and bitter. We ordered the Pho soup which should offer a taste experience at this price. The soup was a complete disappointment and didn't taste like the original soup at all, just like water. The soup was neither cooked for long nor did it contain ingredients that belong in a Pho soup. I can cook these at home for much less money and that disappoints me the most. For over €15 a soup you should get something. You are very carelessly given a small sliced ​​chilli which, unfortunately, is not included. Goods and drinks are purchased very cheaply. We won't come anymore. Very disappointing!

First off, the food and the dishes tasted amazing. I liked mostly the quantity of the dishes, too. The variety is nice on the menu. I didn't like that we had to wait a lot for the ordering and for the food. You had to scan a code to get the menu, but this is something I dislike depending on the wifi and battery, etc. Sometimes, the waiter and waitress could be a little bit more friendly, and while we were sometimes waiting, they were just looking around and didn't xome up to us. Anyway, the price performance is good and so is the food. I would go back at any second.

Unfortunately it got worse. There used to be a real map. Now there is only one QR code that you have to scan. Then each person has to go to their own smartphone and look at the map there. Really really good! We have been eating at Sen for a long time and often and it is delicious every time! The sushi is of high quality, especially the sashimi salmon is recommended. The new ambience is also nice; Only in winter there are few places without an outdoor terrace, which is why you have to be quick or make a reservation. The service is always very friendly and you get used to the QR code menu even after a few visits. My favorites are the sake nigiri and the homemade iced tea :) One of the best sushi restaurants in Karlsruhe and definitely worth a visit ;-)

Schmeckt gut aber nicht wirklich etwas besonderes und in der Stadt gibt es so einige. Will man authentischer vietnamesisch essen geht man ins Vietaroma. Preislich eine wenig überheblich macht jedoch die Lage. Schlecht ist es nicht aber wie gesagt Standart Asiafood. Sitzplätze sind ok draußen stehen Tische und Stühle in der Schräge so dass nach ner Stunde das Kreuz schmerzt nicht wirklich toll

However, it just has to compete with the best in Karlsruhe, and for us those are Mai Garden, Mama Thanh and Maison Tom - and there is that "flavor explosion" that we miss in Sen.
