Cafe Galerie/Restaurant/Bar in Karlsruhe

We were there for dinner. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow. The first contact was after 20 minutes. However, the food arrived fairly quickly after ordering. Dessert didn't arrive until an hour later. We ordered a drink, but paid and left after 30 minutes. The service here definitely needs improvement.

We have been there twice for breakfast and it is very good, this will be our breakfast locally, rich and good, just to be missed

Hofgalerie in Karlsruhe Durlach This restaurant and bar is located at the entrance to Karlsruhe Durlach. It has a rustic decor. There's also an outdoor area right on the street. The staff is friendly. The wait time for a simple, quick meal was relatively long. The beer is very good...for me, the best thing about the place.

I have to say that I haven't been to the gallery lately, but the last time I was here, for breakfast, the price/performance ratio was good. Now it's become too expensive for me. I was here last time.

We hadn't been able to get anything hot to eat at the same time the night before, so we ended up at the kebab shop in the main station, where we were treated more rudely than ever before. The next day, we went to Café Galerie in Durlach and were thrilled with everything! The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was very pleasant! They also have a fantastic selection of vegetarian dishes. We highly recommend it!

The most favorite place, with the most delicious food. Everything always tastes perfect, I always have homemade lemonade. The breakfasts are the best in Karlsruhe. It's nice that you can sit outside, even though it's a bit crappy when people smoke next to you.

I've actually enjoyed going to the gallery for a long time, especially after work for a beer and cheese spaetzle. But what I've seen in terms of staff the last few times has been subpar. A brown-haired girl, Sofia or Sofie as she was called by others, miscalculated my meal and is always very unfriendly. I didn't even complain because of my disappointment and astonishment. A young man, who also works as a waiter there, exchanged strange looks with her the whole time and they seemed very un-relaxed and spoiled the nice atmosphere. Otherwise the staff was always very nice and I would describe myself as a regular guest. However, this was NOT the first time that the staff in question created a very strange atmosphere. If they work there, I will avoid the gallery in the future and maybe go somewhere else more often. I've never experienced anything like that before.

Very friendly service! The breakfast was good, as was the café. Only the toilets weren't what you would call clean.

Service could be a bit smarter and nicer. Food was okay so far. Had the burger of the day, ordered without jalapeños and asked if the cheese chili sauce was spicy, this was absolutely answered in the negative. Unfortunately it was very spicy for both of us. Vegetarian burger was delicious.

We were in this restaurant for the first time this afternoon and were very happy with the food, we had a cheeseburger with potato chips. The Amburnre is rustic and very comfortable to sit in after dinner. However, I would like to highlight a very friendly and helpful employee who was happy to deal with our requests and questions. You're not always used to having such nice employees as guests. Last but not least, a point that is very important to us: the sanitary facilities were very clean and well maintained. We found completely different sanitary facilities there. Thank you very much 🙂 for that. We would be happy to come back. Hs.

Nice restaurant at the entrance to Durlach. Large outdoor area, although on the main street, but still pleasant. The staff is friendly and sometimes you also get cake that tastes good. The food is also recommended. The price-performance ratio is ok.

Tuesday evening in the gallery for dinner and chat. Reservation was not necessary. Great food (Hammer 1 baked Maultaschen - highly recommended). The chai latte was very tasty. Large selection of drinks. Excellent service, very friendly and attentive. I'd love to come back.

I go to the gallery once a year. Staff and decorations change often. Wonderfully comfortable, but the toilet smells a bit smelly

Well, you can do it, but you don't have to. Although the prices are cheap, the portions are also very small. Nobody was really full. It's better to ask for a few euros more and offer decent positions. There was also a lot of savings with sauce and it was also very watery. Quality of the chicken nuggets was subpar! We won't be coming back!

The three of us had breakfast today. The American pancakes were spicy dipped in chili 🤢🤢, France was a kohlrabi black croissant 🤢🤢 the scrambled eggs tasted disgusting like fish and the gallery breakfast the sausage was old. A failure!!! Really a shame

My girlfriend and I used to go there often because we really liked it and the price was very good. However, over time it got worse and worse. The waiter was unfriendly and the food got worse. We said to each other a long time ago that we wouldn't want to eat there anymore.

The food was good again, we were just surprised that we were charged an extra €2.70 per meal for the side dishes (potato chips + ketchup)? Up until now it was always included and we weren't told about it or asked if we wanted side dishes 😡

A restaurant to return to. Typical German dishes, attractive decoration, very good service, good prices and a very good atmosphere. They recommended us to eat schnitzel and in fact it is one of the best selling dishes and you can eat pork or chicken. Good prices, very clean bathrooms, easy to get to, just a few steps from a tram stop. This is what we will do Come back another day for some cocktails!

Unfortunately, we were not served in this restaurant, even though the number of visitors was relatively low. The waiter walked past us several times, but then decided he would rather clean the ashtrays. The card was presented with the words "the card". We then got up and left.

Hammer 3 (almost) always works. The gallery has been around for so long and is associated with numerous memories for me. The food is of secondary importance. Friendly service.

The potato chips and sauce were excellent. The schnitzel is on the dry side but still good. Overall a solid 4.5. The waitresses could have been a bit friendlier and the food took quite a long time. This was largely due to rush hour, so it was still within acceptable limits. The ambience is typically German, the metal posters are a nice decoration.

We had breakfast this morning and I have to say the breakfast was more than worth the money. Price performance is top here, I haven't had that for a long time. The plate was decorated with so much love and the portion was generous. I've been eating more since I started working out and still haven't managed to finish everything. From today on, thank you only here!

Today on Sunday an unfriendly service at the table placed an order at 9.50 a.m. and it didn't come until 10.30 a.m. My breakfast also came but what I didn't order. I had to wait a while and at some point I canceled it and, to be cheeky, I was banned from the house and had to pay for what I didn't eat. The service is the last thing.

The amazing dishes and prices are already known and popular in Karlsruhe. We became aware of it through the gourmet block.....we'd be happy to come back.

Perfect place to have a drink in the evening. Open late. We were able to order something to drink after 11 p.m. without any problem. The Long Island was great, I can recommend it. It also made a very nice impression otherwise, lots of outdoor and indoor seating and a large selection of food and cocktails.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at your renowned restaurant again and would like to start by highlighting the excellent quality of the burgers. The culinary sophistication and the balanced balance of flavors once again exceeded my expectations. Every bite was a delight and reflected the high artistry of your cooking. Unfortunately, for the second time in a row, I had to wait over 40 minutes to receive my burger. Although the quality of the food is undoubtedly outstanding, more efficient service would be desirable. Such a long stay spoils the overall experience and contrasts with the otherwise exquisite presentation of your hotel. I hope that this feedback will be taken as a constructive suggestion to optimize service processes to meet the high culinary standards of your restaurant.

First of all, cocktails were only available at 7 p.m. (we were there around 3 p.m.) I only ordered dessert and almost gave up because the wait was over half an hour for cake and ice cream. MA not so friendly

On May 5th I was a guest at Cafe Galerie around 3 p.m. First of all, the poor parking situation is a point that is often succinctly dismissed. If I come by car, I would also like to park my car where I stop. I only found what I was looking for at the train station❗ There were plenty of seats available outside and I wasn't served until 17 minutes after I arrived at my seat. I smelled a smell of old frying oil that I couldn't ignore. I sat very close to the entrance, on the stairs of the cafe. I ordered a cappuccino and a piece of cheesecake. I waited about 10 minutes for this❗The order was satisfactory. Since I arrived at the worst possible time, I unexpectedly had to pay the bill due to a change in personnel. Unfortunately, the loud situation at the intersection was too loud. Fresh air from the main intersection... If I ever find myself in this cafe again, it will of course be inside the building. Maybe I'll have better luck next time and won't be ignored and won't have to wait so long for the small, unpretentious order.

Cozy cult with a touch of beer garden romance It's not without reason that it's my friends and I's favorite restaurant - the charming Cafe Galerie is more than just a place to eat - it's a journey back in time, a feast for the senses and a declaration of love for German cuisine. When I walked through the door it felt like I was stepping into another time, surrounded by historic enamel signs and rustic charm. The menu offers a tempting selection of traditional German specialties. But my personal highlight is the beautiful beer garden, a hidden gem in the heart of Durlach - especially in summer!! I always find my personal retreat here under the shady trees and with a summer spritzer on my table. The daily changing daily specials are always a pleasant surprise and since there is a vegetarian and a meat-based dish there is something for everyone. From Karlsruhe cheese spaetzle (which I can warmly recommend!!) to Kaiserschmarrn with vanilla sauce, everything is there and delicious. 😋 The staff is not only professional and attentive, but also always radiates a warm warmth. Your hospitality is palpable and helps me always feel at home here. All in all, a great restaurant - I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes inexpensive, delicious food in a cozy atmosphere.

We have been enjoying coming here (almost weekly) for several years now. The price-performance ratio is great! The staff is always very nice and accommodating. Highly recommended, especially for students. By the way, we would like to see the homemade iced tea (summer special) permanently on the menu. It is or has always been a highlight. :)

Cheap but good food, good atmosphere, kid friendly etc. I come here often both with the kids and sometimes to work "somewhere else" and so far I've only had one good experience. The staff is mostly very nice and tries to serve us well. A clear recommendation for everyone! :)

Unfortunately the last two times weren't so great. Prices have become expensive and the portions are a bit smaller. Unfortunately the burgers were cold and no ketchup or mayo or only for an additional charge. Today you could see that the staff was overworked even though it wasn't that busy. What is also extremely annoying is that you smell quite like fat afterwards. Somehow the ventilation doesn't manage to suck out the grease smell. It's a shame, hopefully the criticism will help.
