Beef chow fun was really tasteless (it tasted like not even salt was added), Hainan chicken rice also… the portion is big though

As a malaysian, i think the food is relatively disappointing even i have lowered my standard knowing it will not be 1 to 1 same like in malaysia. But the food just tasted like overnight food, the roasted pork and char siu were salty and hard to chew. Char kuay teow (signature fried rice noodle) is oily and they used the wrong thickness of rice noodle — too thick to chew. The flavour of ckt is on spot tho. And the portion is quite huge — better for sharing

Was super excited to try the restaurant, but was unfortunately disappointed by the food. I ordered wok-fried flat noodle with beef. The portion was generous, but it was flavorless, which was very unlike Malaysian food. At least the beef was easy to chew. Maybe I just got a bad batch, so I will give this restaurant another chance if I am in the area again, since I want to support Malaysian food and know that it is usually much better than what I received.

+1 The sheep man bun is very delicious, the taste is a bit bland, but a lot of meat is very cost-effective, there is a lot of Chinese and it is very atmospheric, basically everything you want to eat in Hong Kong and Malaysia is here

The store lacks style. I only wanted to refill the chrysanthemum tea once and then refused to refill it. The lid was placed on the teapot as if I didn't see it. You are also Cantonese, so you should be very clear about the custom of uncovering the lid and refilling the water. Not only did we pay in cash, but we also gave a standard tip. It was around 8 pm and almost 9 pm, and all the big tables in the store were empty, so I didn’t understand why the customers were being turned away. My friend came to Germany to chat with him for a while, and it didn't stop you from getting off work. Even if you serve the guest a pot of boiled water, it's better than ignoring it. The older generation of restaurant workers in Germany generally have a low profile.

It tastes delicious as always. No matter dim sum or stir-fry. 100 euros for two people including drinks.

The takeaway experience was terrible. The driver and the restaurant owner blamed each other and there was no result in the end. So funny so absurd and so ridiculous.

Absolutely fantastic Malay, Singaporean, and Cantonese food!!

Da ich meistens immer innerhalb einer kleiner Auswahl esse, war ich heute wieder von der Wan-Tan/Tischbällchen Nudelsuppe. Heute stimmte wieder alles. Gute Brühe und netter Service. Als Schluss-Goodie gab es einen Pudding, den man sehr selten in einem Restaurant bekommt: eher, wenn man seine Großmutter besucht.

I need to say this restaurant is overpriced. This is typical Chinese food with highprice. I was expecting Malaysia cousine. I have been many times to Malysia and this has nothing to do with local food.

The food is fine. just the customer service is sometimes quite bad. There is a problem with their POS machine and the old man throw my bank card away. Might be they think i will not pay for the meal i guess :)

If you want to eat rice rolls with pork and beans, can the store arrange one for 😭69.8 for three dishes ➕ two drinks (salted lemon seven ➕ frozen lemon tea). It’s really delicious. 😭 After eating it at noon, I couldn’t sleep in the middle of the night. I started to miss the bitter melon stuffed meat. It’s really good. eat! Water spinach is so crispy! The roast duck is not fatty! No weird smell! Suitable for salty taste! The barbecued pork tastes good! Sweet and salty!

The food is of a high standard. Cantonese cuisine is rare to eat in Germany. It is worth recommending.

It seems they only dare to ask Asians to pay by cash. Ridiculous.

The Hainanese chicken rice and water spinach were very good, but the control of the fried river butter was not very good. Some of the squid were not elastic and some were not elastic. When I collected the money, two small colas were counted as two large colas.

Very nice institution. My wife and I ended up there completely by accident. Googlemaps chose a different Chinese restaurant. However, due to repair work, the path indicated by Google was blocked. A change of route led me to see a CELERY sign nearby. And this is one of our favorite root crops. We visited the restaurant and stayed without hesitation. Pleasant interior, friendly, hospitable Asian waitresses, and most importantly - visitors. Also, they are obviously from the countries of Southeast Asia. This usually speaks of the authenticity and quality of national cuisine. And we were not mistaken. I'm unlikely to ever get to Malaysia? And now he made a real "culinary journey". Considering the size of the portions, and most importantly - the exquisite taste, the prices in the restaurant cannot be considered high. The two of us had fun, spent only 36 euros. I highly recommend it.

We had 3 dishes here , a noodle chicken soup , beef and radish cakes. Plus a water. (Total price around 47Eur - 06.2024) All were super delicious 😋 Don't be fooled by the simple atmosphere here, the food tasted great and I will definitely come back. The soup had a rich texture and nice flavors. The beef was tender and nicely seasoned. Prices are not cheap, but fair for a restaurant in this area.

Wenn ich jedes Mal in Frankfurt bin, würde man denken, ich bin nur für dieses Restaurant hier. Mein good to go food sind die Eierblumennudeln. My hometown is Zhejiang. Every time I go to this Malay Chinese restaurant, I can try dishes I have never had before. I especially like the smooth egg pho.

First time had lunch there , hainan chicken was good. Didn’t realize they only accept card payment for minimum amount of €20. They were still willing to take card payment for me without any hassle. Very friendly.

It was the first time for a person to eat here, and I felt that maybe it would be better for three or four people to order more dishes. The price is right and the quantity is large. The orange juice turned out to be very thick, great review! The waiters are also very friendly and can speak Chinese directly.

Every dishes that we had ordered are delicious and quite authentic Malaysian foods . Staffs are friendly as well . The portions are big and great for sharing .

When I came to Europe, I tried many Chinese restaurants. This is the best one. It is very authentic and worth eating here often. And the price is fair.

I love eating at Selera since it gives me a feel of my home country :) However i think it is just too expensive to charge a group who just want a pot of tea. So a pot of tea for one person costs 4.50€ but a pot of tea (which is the same size) for 5 person costs 22.5€. If that is so, then we would have just ordered one pot of tea for each of us. Just my opinion :)

Great Malaysian restaurant to visit. The menu was a mixed of Malaysian & Chinese food. They have seafood menu too. Tasty & enjoyable, although some menu could be a bit salty for some people.

[UPDATED] I went here with a friend. And we had mini spring rolls as a starter 6/10 (I think it was tasteless). I had nasi lemak (coconut milk rice) with rendang (beef) 8.5/10 — coconut rice was nice, rendang was pretty spicy but for me it was really good so it was very tasty! The friend had Nasi Lemak with squid 8/10 — it was also delicious but I prefer it with the beef. We also had kangkong (water spinach) 8/10. Homemade Ice Tea 8.5/10 was very fresh and I like it👌🏻 Grilled duck 8.5/10 — I ordered a 'small portion' and it's still too big for me😂 the sauce tastes right down to the meat inside, i.e. it marinated well, duck skin was crispy as it should, delicious! 👌🏻 Seafood Claypot 8/10 — there were clams, tofu, shrimp, fish so complete and delicious👌🏻 Try Nasi Goreng Sambal 7.5/10, and also Hainan Chicken Rice 8/10 (the sauce was awesome) Chicken Feet Dimsum 9/10 megaaa! Inners Dimsum a friend told me good, I didn't try it because I don't like it👀 Siomay 8/10 were too small but tasted good. T18 dough filled with shrimps 10/10 excellent!! I can eat all my life🤤 Sambal Udang 9.5/10 super aromatic and well seasoned, good spiciness, there was a lot of shrimp too. Nasi Lemak ayam 8/10 I thought it was good but beef rendang was better😁 Various dimsum average 8/10 Crispy pork belly 7.8/10 could have been crispier but were very well seasoned. I really liked Kwetiaw Goreng with seafood 8.5/10, super tasty! Come here too!

I recommend the Bbq Pork and Hainanese Chicken Rice. The stir-fried Gongsimchae is of course delicious. They even give you fruit for dessert! It seems to be run by a Chinese from Southeast Asia. If you like Cantonese food or want to eat laksa, you will be satisfied if you come here.

The food is served quickly and the taste is among the best in German Chinese cuisine. Not too strong in taste.

Die Preise sind im neuen Jahr etwas angezogen. Aber nicht so extrem wie in anderen Restaurants. Einige meiner Lieblingsgerichte sind wohl weggefallen. Ich habe wieder Hühnchen Hainan bestellt. Es war gut wie immer, aber irgendwie hatte der Kellner nicht so die richtige Lust. Ich war der erste Gast und bekam einen Katzentisch. Und als die Suppe serviert wurde, nicht mal einen asiatischen Löffel. Sonst gab es immer noch einen Goodie am Schluss aber auch hier gab es dieses Mal wieder nichts. Ich weiß auch nicht, warum ich mir das jedes Mal antue. Ich muss masochistisch veranlagt sein. Aber andere konnten mich bisher nicht überzeugen doch besser zu sein (im Verhältnis zum Preis).

I’ve been here many times and always refer my friends to come here for the good food and friendly service. But I don’t know what happened today the personnel was being super RUDE and RACIST with my colleagues. Usually they bring us some fruits and desserts after meal (like always) for free and today I asked too. The owner said (more like yelled), it’s only for our CHINESE clients and we are doing this for YOUR favor and we don’t serve FOREIGNERS our desserts. We are not obligated. What this this racist comment? and this conversation happened after a waiter SPILLED FOOD on ME 😡

The malaysian / indonesian dishes here are so aunthentic and tasty! Some menu even tastier than the one i ate in my hometown lol Crispy calamari ( cumi goreng tepung) 10/10 it serves with some veggies. I dont know why its sooooo good Cakwe goreng 7.5/10 its crispy but doesnt have rich taste, just soy sauce Hainan rice with pig 8/10 not a fan of pig but it tastes great. A little crowded (you might have to wait to be seated) but personel there is super sweet and the food is absolutely amazing!! Prices range from abt. 15 - 20 Euros per dish. There is so much to choose from, too! I recommend the water spinach with garlic, that was everybody's favorite! We'll be back for sure!

On NYE, I opted for takeaway due to the restaurant being busy. They refuse to prepare anything from the dim sum menu since the kitchen was busy, that was understandable. I ordered two meals from the main menu, paid, and informed them I'd return in 20 minutes. When I returned, the lady informed me that one of the ordered meals was sold out. After all that time I waited. To my surprise, I noticed the meal on the table of a couple who arrived after me but chose to dine in. Was she expecting me to share 1 meal meant for two people? It ruined my evening, I refused to wait any more minute. Waste of time.

Es ist wie ein chinesische Restaurant, denn sagt man immer Nihao. Auch die Speisekarte ist überwiegend chinesisch und nicht malaysisch. Hainanischer Hühnerreis ist genau richtig, das Huhn ist zart und der Reis ist reichhaltig. Allerdings enttäuschte mich das Gericht mit gedämpften Hähnchenfüßen wegen seines unklaren Geschmacks. Auch gebratene Rippchen sind nicht gut. Das Essen kommt schnell und der Service ist schnell, aber vielleicht nicht freundlich

I had quite high expectation, after heard about this restaurant. As we came looked like as any other Chinese restaurant. But the service is bad, even so so bad. The old man took our order such in a rush, even we haven’t finished to order, he left us. I wanted order another dish after we almost finish our eating, and he said it could take longer time (around 10min). I said okay. But the dish never came, and when we asked about it, he answered rudely, that he said it would take longer and said I didn’t say yes. How come you get angry to your customer for asking the food??!! The tables were not even full at that time. What a shame service, and the food itself was not that great. Hainan rice was too sweet, the soup was cold and the noodle laksa was smelly not fresh. So NOT RECOMMENDED at all.

Traditional Hongkong and Southeast Asia food. Service for more than 20 years without deviation. Unfortunately always difficult to find parking place.

Der Koch scheint wieder gesund zu sein. Es schmeckte alles, wie ich es gewohnt bin. Als Aufmerksamkeit gab es wieder die chinesische süße Suppe und etwas Obst am Schluss. Man kann wieder getrost hingehen.

This is THE place if you want to have authentic Malaysian food. Not only are the hosts incredibly nice, the food quality is unparalleled and the variety of dishes allows for large groups to sample various options. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Food was just so so. The char siew bao (steamed buns) and cheung fun (steamed rice noodles) had tiny bones and boar taint.

Super enjoy this Chinese cuisine here! I really love the food especially Hainan chicken rice and the rice roll with the red pork inside (cannot remember what it called) but felt a little bit disappointed of Hagao because I the flour is a bit weird from what I have had before. Overall, I was enjoy being here and recommend you to visit this place :)

Das Essen an sich ist sehr lecker, wir hatten allerdings echt Pech beim Service. Unser Kellner (ein älterer Herr) war bei der Bestellung sehr unfreundlich, hektisch und nicht hilfsbereit. Mein Essen war nur eine Beilage für 11€ (Saisongemüse), was mir nicht klar war, und der Kellner hat leider nicht bei der Auswahl unterstützt oder auf meinen Fehler hingewiesen. Ich hatte gehofft, dass Reis o.ä. dazu gehört und deshalb keinen bestellt und auch keinen bekommen. Auf der Rechnung habe ich dann aber gesehen, dass eine Portion Reis berechnet wurde - da frage ich mich, wieso der Kellner die ganze Zeit über nicht bemerkt hat, dass der Reis, den er wohl eingetragen hat, nicht geliefert wird. Außerdem liegt das Restaurant in einer echt schäbigen Ecke, ich habe mich sowohl auf dem Hinweg als auch auf dem extra angepassten Rückweg eher unsicher und sehr unwohl gefühlt.

Da ich hier immer dasselbe bestelle: irgendwie fehlte der letzte Kick. Vielleicht war ja der Koch erkältet. Sonst war alles wie immer gut von der Konsistenz: genauso wie es sein sollte. Nur die letzte Spur Salz oder was auch immer fehlte. Service wieder auf dem Niveau wie früher: etwas Süßes zum Schluss.

Wow - ein absolutes Muss für Fans der asiatischen/malaysischen Küche. Absolut alles was bestellt wurde war lecker. Ein perfektes Lokal um sich mit Freunden zu treffen, viele verschiedene Gerichte zu bestellen, um dann voneinander die ganze Speisekarte durchzuprobieren. Besonders lecker waren für mich vor allem die Rippchen und das Haianese Chicken. Das ganze dann auch zu absolut fairen Preisen. Alles wird mit einem top Service abgerundet.

중국, 말레이시아 요리를 다루는 레스토랑으로, 저는 주로 중국음식 위주로 시켜먹었었습니다. 퀄리티는 훌륭한 편이구요, 종업원분들 모두 친절하셔서 정말 좋았습니다. 가장 추천할만한 음식은 C1의 구운 오리, T1의 하가우(Har Gao)였습니다. 특히 구운 오리는 껍질은 아주 바삭하면서 속은 육즙이 꽉 차있어, 고기 맛이 아주 훌륭했습니다.

Location isn’t kid-friendly but the food was not bad. Coming from Singapore, their food was comparable to the authentic one and the serving is quite generous. Will come back here to try their hor fun next time, hopefully it’s as good as the real one :)

Ich fand das Essen hier sehr lecker. Man kann sowohl chinesisch als auch malaysisch essen. Dim sum war sehr gut. Chicken rice auch. Das restaurant ist in einem Viertel wo man nicht gern hingeht. Aber die Umgebung ergänzt irgendwie das Gefühl dass man irgendwo im Süden verreist ist ;)

One of the safest choice for a nice dinner/lunch in Frankfurt. Always friendly services, and really nice food, just like cooked at home. Their claypot with pork belly and Kung Pao chicken are the best.

Großartige Auswahl an verschiedenen authentischen Gerichten. Sehr freundliches Personal, Kartenzahlung ist möglich. Das Essen war wirklich lecker und schmeckte wie in Asien. Sehr sehr empfehlenswert und absolute Bereicherung für das Bahnhofsviertel!

We had the most dreadful experience dining at this place. It's an absolute scam! We decided to order the egg foo young with shrimp and onions, along with the fried char kway teow. The woman who took our order seemed utterly clueless. Despite clearly specifying that we wanted the egg foo young without any meat, only with shrimp and onions, she completely messed up our order. To our dismay, the dish arrived filled with pork and other meats. The flat noodles were disgustingly tough and rubbery, clearly not homemade or of any decent quality. It felt like something you could easily pick up from the refrigerated section of an average Asian grocery store. When we brought the mistake to their attention and expressed our dissatisfaction with the tasteless food, our complaints were completely disregarded. The woman who took our order didn't even bother to apologise or offer any form of compensation, despite us being unable to consume the food. As we were leaving, we asked for the menu to show her what we had actually ordered, stating that it should only have included onions and shrimp. Astonishingly, she had the audacity to blame the menu itself! This place is an outright rip off. The quality of the food is extremely mediocre and tasteless. Their customer service is appalling. I urge you to steer clear of this establishment if you have any desire for authentic Malaysian cuisine.
