Zweimal das "Fisch & Fleisch" Degustationsmenü, zweimal dazu die passende Weinbegleitung, es war ein wunderschöner Abend! Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter, eine sehr gelungene Menüfolge mit erstklassig zusammengestellten Weinen und teilweise unbekannten Rebsorten. So soll es sein, ein aus unserer Sicht verdienter Michelin-Stern.

Ich wusste, dass es gefährlich war, zum 1. Mal ins Carmelo Greco zu gehen. Ich wusste, dass die Gefahr bestand, dass es mich vom Hocker haut und es noch ein Gourmetrestaurant in der Region gibt, dass man wieder und wieder besuchen will. Jetzt ist eben dies eingetreten. Vom hübschen Ambiente über den exzellenten Service bis zur grandiosen Küche wurde ich hier voll und ganz vom Hocker gehauen. Ein herrlich stimmiges Menü fängt den Gaumen ein. Beim Sandwich, beim Risotto, bei der Foie gras-Kugel, bei der Mischung aus weißer Schokolade und Albatrüffel, beim Dolce, bei all diesen Träumen bin ich buchstäblich auf die Knie gegangen. Dazu konnte ich leider nur 2 Weine probieren, da ich fahren musste. Beide eine Wucht! Also hat sich meine Befürchtung voll erfüllt... Das Carmelo Grevo verlangt nach wiederholten Besuchen!

I knew it was dangerous going to Carmelo Greco for the first time. I knew that there was a risk that it would blow me away and that there was still a gourmet restaurant in the region that you would want to visit again and again. Now this has happened. From the lovely ambience to the excellent service to the fantastic cuisine, I was completely blown away here. A wonderfully harmonious menu captures the palate. The sandwich, the risotto, the foie gras ball, the mix of white chocolate and Alba truffle, the dolce, all these dreams literally made me fall to my knees. Unfortunately I was only able to try two wines because I had to drive. Both a stunner! So my fears were completely fulfilled... The Carmelo Grevo demands repeat visits!

Now here is an absolute top chef at work. Camelo is a star-winning performer and is one of the best in his profession. The furnishings are very tasteful and the service team is well trained and pleases every guest. The courses for the meal are very well coordinated, it is a real culinary experience. Here I give the grade 1+++ and wish you lots of fun. Greetings Long

Wine accompaniment to the menu was very interesting giving the chance to taste several wines which are not so fabulous.

Having had some really good memories over the years, our visit was a real disappointment. Despite the great ambience and very friendly service, the quality of the food didn't convince us. It's a shame, with prices of up to €200 per person. I hope it's an exception and doesn't degenerate into a place for expense knights

I was there with a friend, both of whom had traveled to Frankfurt. Our expectations were exceeded: - The food: had the tasting and it was a really nice trip full of creativity and great flavors, very well coordinated and fully showing off la Bella Italia - The wine pairing: simply WOW. The selection was simply phenomenal, lots of new experiences. - The people: super friendly and extremely nice. It was a great experience. Thank you!

The CarmeloGreco looks very inconspicuous from the outside, but the ambience inside is very tasteful. The terrace is completely closed, so you don't necessarily have the feeling of sitting outside, but you do feel very protected. We (four of us) had registered for the summer special, a 4-course menu for €89. The service is attentive but not intrusive, the description of the dishes was sometimes difficult to follow. First there was an aperitif, then two greetings from the kitchen before the menu began. The times between courses are reasonable, so you don't finish it in an hour. We were there for about 3 hours in total. The food is extremely good and a star is probably appropriate (although I can't really judge that). In any case, we thought the food was great and there were different flavors and aromas to discover in every course. The compositions were always successful and you had the feeling that someone really knew what they were doing. The prices are of course very reasonable, so the four of us were happy with €540, including a bottle of wine (€100). The only drawback is the size of the portions. You would always wish for something more, also because it tastes so delicious. All in all, a great restaurant that we can recommend despite the prices.

I went to dinner with my partner for our anniversary and they welcomed us with warmth and kindness, every course was exquisite, from appetizers to dessert. We were both happy and left full and satisfied.

The ambience in the winter garden was great. The area is actually not that nice, but the restaurant is beautifully decorated and you can sit like you're in the green jungle. We booked the Summer Special. Four courses for €89 and a delicious Rosé Prosecco included. The value for money was phenomenal. There were so many greetings from the kitchen and pre- and after-desserts that it was a complete star menu experience. For a restaurant with a Michelin star, that's incredibly cheap. The waiters are all very friendly and we had a good and funny evening there. Thank you!

Very nice restaurant with a great summer special! We've eaten better Italian cuisine at a star level in Milan or in Düsseldorf in Germany, but because of the summer special it's unbeatable in terms of price-performance ratio! The service was also excellent - friendly and discreet. The area around the restaurant is unfortunately very ugly, but if you look at it positively, such a good restaurant there is very surprising 😁

Carmelo is a warm host who sends greetings from the kitchen, which deliciously increase the enjoyment of the actual courses of the menu. Everything is always beautifully prepared and served by loving and professional staff. There is also a wine list that is more like a book. Anyone who doesn't walk out the door happily is virtually beyond help.

Netter und freundlicher Service - aber dann hört es schon auf : das Menü klingt interessant, was dann aber auf den Tisch kommt ist enttäuschend. Handwerklich nicht gut gemacht, geschmacklich durchwachsen, Produktqualität fraglich ( frische bretonische Jakobsmuschel im Juli ???? ). Auch die Weinkarte enttäuscht, zT sind die angebotenen Weine zu jung ( Barriquewein kaum auf der Flasche ), zT zu alt ( "frischer" Vermentino sechs Jahre alt ), Auswahl gering, nicht auf das Menü abgestimmt und insgesamt höchst überteuert. Man kann sich nur wundern und fragen, wo dieser Michelin Stern herkommt !!!!

Great. Very well thought out and tried hard food. The service was also very pleasant and the wine advice was also great. The glasses and silverware were elegant and stylish. Not all courses were to my liking, but I still really liked the restaurant overall.

I was allowed to choose a restaurant for an anniversary dinner and my choice fell on Carmelo Greco. We were served very friendly and attentively and since it was also my 66th birthday, I was given a candle for dessert, very attentive. The food was delicious and I like to come with my family in the evening to enjoy a whole menu. I enjoyed the food, but didn't take any pictures🤭

Why so few stars despite very good food? Simply much, much too expensive.... 4 people with 2 bottles of sparkling wine for a good EUR 700.00! And we took one of the cheapest menu options. Great service. Very good food. But unfortunately really too expensive. For example, the carrot shown in the picture costs EUR 28.00.

We were invited to an event and had a wonderful evening. Including all the greetings from the kitchen, we were able to test 11 courses, each of which was very good and tasted very good. The highlights were the lobster and the ravioli with Wagyu beef. The wine pairing was also very good, the attentive staff were always there quickly. I'm looking forward to the next event at Carmelo Greco, thank you very much.

The food was good (portions and presentation were good but the taste was just ok, nothing special), service was ok, but the atmosphere was terrible. One pays not only for the food when going to a Michelin Star restaurant (+€500). Very disappointed that the atmosphere looked more like a cheap pub than a restaurant. Quite noisy with diners who shouted and laughed so loudly that they prevented us at our table from talking. We told the service staff but they only offered us a table that was also very close to this noisy group. It's a shame that I couldn't enjoy my dinner and birthday celebration. In addition, the risotto was salty and the broccoli was quite oily. I won't go back to this restaurant and I don't think it really deserves a star. They are not quite there yet.

We reserved a table for dinner in January. I ordered most of my meals vegetarian. The food didn't impress me in terms of taste. I expect a lot more from a star kitchen in terms of taste. The service, however, was good.

Last night I was able to experience the culinary delights of Carmelo Greco and I was completely thrilled. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed by the extremely courteous staff. Our jackets were carefully taken from us and stored in the cloakroom. The renowned chef Carmelo personally also gave us a warm welcome. The ambience of the restaurant impresses with its stylish furnishings and a cultivated atmosphere that immediately captivates you. As soon as we sat at the table, we were surprised with the first culinary greeting from the kitchen. This was the start of an unforgettable menu entitled "Back to Sicily", which comprised a total of eight courses and pampered our taste buds at the highest level. The first course, consisting of carabineros with goose liver, black truffle, parsley root and pumpkin, was an absolute highlight. The following courses included Parmegiano Reggiano with white truffle, scallop, acquarello risotto, Breton turbot, Wagyu fillet & short ribs, formaggio and Desserts impressed with their variety and artful presentation. The diversity of the individual dishes was simply incredible, and each course surprised us with new colors and flavor nuances. The creations were not only exquisite in terms of taste, but also visually a feast for the senses. The restaurant's service was outstanding in every respect. The staff was extremely courteous, confident and attentive. From the beginning to the end of the evening, everything was just right. The support provided by the team made a significant contribution to making the visit to Carmelo Greco an unforgettable experience. Carmelo Greco doesn't just deserve a Michelin star - his cooking and the perfect combination of service and cuisine give hope for a higher award. If you haven't treated yourself to it yet - it's time! The Italian cuisine here is partly very traditional, but also interpreted in a completely different and modern way. The quality, service and the entire package are always perfect here. Don't let the surroundings confuse you, as soon as you enter the restaurant you will find yourself in a top-class restaurant. The dishes are always made from fresh and carefully selected ingredients, and the prices are more than reasonable. We are always happy to be guests and enjoy the culinary delicacies.

The Carmelo Greco presents itself in a stylishly furnished small restaurant on Ziegelhüttenweg in Frankfurt Sachsenhausen. And it's worth (at least) a visit! We had the 8-course menu, where the cuisine outdid itself from course to course. The greetings from the kitchen were already inspiring, before the starters - always on point - triggered taste experiences. The main courses were each a dream. The desserts were impeccable in taste and presentation. After a dinner that lasted about 3 hours, we were more than full, but we were able to look back on a short Mediterranean adventure trip. The Carmelo Greco is a clear recommendation!

The Carmelo Greco is what you would call an excellent posh Italian - in the best sense. All dishes impress with a creative, almost ingenious touch, are refined and craftsmanship at a star level. Even when the (not so small) restaurant is at full capacity, the courses arrive at a precise time and are perfectly prepared. The fact that you can even have the next course brought out to the minute if you wish is particularly important when it comes to meat if you want to take a short break after the risotto. The sumptuousness of the food is sometimes overwhelming. After the risotto (or optionally pasta) there is a risk of being well satiated before the menu sequence culminates in the meat course. Especially if you can't keep your hands off the excellent bread in the meantime. The risotto filling rate can certainly be reduced. That would make the following dishes shine even more. For dessert, a cheese course is served, which is certainly not for everyone. Here the cheese or dessert option would be better (especially since there are three small post-desserts to follow). But of course you can also cancel individual courses if you want. This does not detract from the culinary excellence. You will definitely remember highlights of the menu. The service is excellent. Practically everyone in the restaurant knows about the courses and can tell you something about the ingredients or the preparation. The sommelier's knowledge is not limited to the first-class wines, but knows surprising details of the dishes. This is wonderful because it means you know that the idea of ​​the menu runs through the entire restaurant. Here the right hand knows what the left hand is doing. The service is always attentive but always professionally reserved enough not to seem intrusive. The ambience is wonderfully relaxing and soothing. The subtle lighting underlines the harmonious feeling of the meal. You can concentrate fully on the menu or spend a wonderful social evening with friends. A great Italian restaurant with first-class cuisine and perfect service. Tip: Don't overdo it during the "filling course", the meat tastes even better afterwards.

Ristorante stellato Michelin. Cibo curatissimo che spazia dal tartufo bianco d'alba ai gamberi di Mazara del Vallo. Alcune soluzioni e creazioni di altissimo livello. Servizio eccellente. Ambiente adeguato al livello del ristorante.

Nobel-Italiener. Und die Bezeichnung trifft es, denn das Essen ist hervorragend, die Weine sehr gut und der Service absolut makellos. Wenn eine Küche so exzellenten Mozzarella selbst herstellt, das mit Abstand beste Risotto zaubert - ja, dann sind die diversen Auszeichnungen mehr als verdient. Auf der Espresso ist -wie zu erwarten- italienisch und gut. Einziger Kritikpunkt: der Preis ist schon recht hoch.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend, die Erfahrung war auch im Vergleich mit anderen 1* Restaurants überdurchschnittlich gut. Das Essen und die Weine waren hervorragend. Das ist bei einem Sternerestaurant aber vorauszusetzen. Was dieses Restaurant von vielen anderen abhebt ist neben der sehr kreativen Küche das wahnsinnig kompetente und engagierte Personal. Sie lesen einem nicht nur jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab sondern kennen die servierten Gerichte und Weine bis ins Detail und hatten sichtlich Freude daran, uns jede Frage zu Zutaten, Herkunft des Weins usw. zu beantworten. Alles in allem war es weit überdurchschnittlich gut und wir werden sicher wiederkommen.

Das Restaurant: gemütlich, hochwertig. Der Restaurantleiter Miquele mehr als überzeugend, freundlich, extrem sachkundig, sowohl das Essen betreffend als auch die Weine, ein Kellner der Extraklasse! Die Kücke einfach nur sehr gut; sowohl die Optik, als auch gerade der Geschmack ein einzigartiges Erlebnis! Aus 4 Gängen wurden acht insgesamt! Immer wieder kamen Grüße aus der Küche. Großartige Küche, erstklassiger Service, besonderes Ambiente zeichnen dieses italienische Sterne Restaurant in Frankfurt am Main aus. Nicht zu vergessen der superbe Weinkeller mit edlen Tropfen nicht nur aus Italien.

Freundlicher Service, wenn auch leicht unter Stress, da wohl VIPs anwesend waren, welche die volle Aufmerksamkeit bekamen. Das Essen zu Mittag war ok, leider nicht "überwältigend". After Reading the reviews, one thing seemed to be clear. People either loved this place or were totally disappointed. To make long story short: we loved it. I was curious how Italian cuisine and Michelin star style would mix and now I have the answer. Our food was great, creative and very tasteful. I had the vegetarian menu and my friend the meat & fish menu. Both were excellent and on the same level when it comes to the love for detail and presentation. I have an assumption why some people wrote that the food tasted like "nothing" or "bland". I guess they were expecting the classic Italian food style with lots of pasta and a creamy tomato sauce. If you're looking for that, you're wrong here. But if you want a 6 or 7 course menu on a Michelin star level different from the usual French style cuisine and paired with excellent wine recommendations then you should definitely give Carmelo Greco a try. The tastes were manifold, sometimes more on the subtle side, but always a great and fitting blend. And you will leave the restaurant neither too full nor hungry and very satisfied. The waiters are extremely friendly, funny and even switched effortlessly to English for my American friend. If you are looking for a quiet (but not boring) place to have a great evening with excellent food that is a bit different than the usual star cuisine then this is the place to go. Edit: I went there again a second time. This time with my wife for lunch. Some of the food was indeed a bit bland and the sauces had too much of a milky taste. So maybe it depends if you go there for dinner or for lunch or which of the different sou-chefs is responsible for your table. I therefore take away one star, because for that price I would expect more consistency regarding the quality.

Das Essen, die Atmosphäre und die Bedienung waren alle toll!👍🏻👍🏻 Man kann vielleicht denken, dass es zu teuer ist aber es lohnt sich sehr ;) sehr feines Essen und man wird auch satt🤣🙈 nur ein bisschen schade war die Soße. Soße Ansicht ist super lecker und toll aber es wäre schöner gewesen, wenn beim Geschmack richtige Abwechslung gäbe. z.B nach Gemüse(sanft und cremig)Soße kommt als Erfrischung Obst(sauer)Soße.

Wunderbares Speisenerlebnis, vom ersten bis zum letzten Bissen. Jedes Element auf dem Teller perfekt temperiert, grandioses Zusammenspiel der Zutaten. Auf diesem hohen Niveau sogar noch mit einer Prise Humor :), was das kunstvolle Essen mit einer menschlich-herzlichen Note versieht. Aufmerksamer, aber diskreter, freundlicher Service.

Hatten einen schönen Abend. Jedoch gab es trotz Information bei Reservierung statt Seafood nur Vegetarische Gänge. Daher hat mir das Menü nicht zugesagt. Ich bin in der Preisklasse schon besser überrascht worden.

Für mich bislang das beste italienische Restaurant in Deutschland. Außergewöhnlich hohe Produktqualität (z.B. Brot aus Weizen traditioneller sizilianischer Sorten), handwerklich perfekte Küchenleistung mit sehr gelungenen Überraschungen (Seeigel-Eis!!! - sensationell gut), sehr gute Weine & Empfehlungen, schönes Ambiente und sehr aufmerksamer, sehr kompetenter und sehr freundlicher Service. Ich rate unbedingt zum Menü. Top-Empfehlung!

Rundherum ein schönes tolles Erlebnis

It was a bit disappointing as one would like compare this with the experience at Villa Merton. Though it comes quite short. We were there one evening and have tasted the gourmet menu, it was tasteful although there was nothing that struck us as special. So was therefore surprised why other reviewers are providing lavishly stars.

Carmelo Greco ist ein sicherer Hafen für exzellentes Essen in Frankfurt. Ausgezeichnete Sterneküche, super Weinkarte, gelegentliche Aktionen für Degustationsmenüs - uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen! Foto zeigt ein leckere, auch visuell ansprechende süße Nachspeise …

Ich lebe inzwischen in Schweden, wir sagen Lagom- Not too much, not too little, just right. So auch alles bei Carmelo(einem der sympathischsten Köche weit und breit). Modern interpretierte, eher norditalienische Küche, jedes einzelne Gericht bis zur Perfektion ausgearbeitet. Völlig zu Recht, seit Jahren mit einem Michelin Stern bedacht. Lob auch für die Weinberatung und das Ambiente. Tipp: Nicht nur für junge Leute, wer mal in den Genuß von „Sterneküche“ kommen, dabei aber nicht arm werden möchte, dem empfehle ich das Mittagsmenü. Wer dies gegessen, kommt sicherlich ein zweites Mal, dann auch Abends. Mille Grazie🙏🏻

Phantastisches Menü, innovativ, leicht, wunderbare Kombination der Zutaten. Habe selten so tolle geschmackvolle und sehr gute Hauptgänge mit Fleisch und Fisch in ähnlichen Restaurants gegessen. ALLE Gänge waren TOP.

Wir waren mit der Familie zum Geburtstag dort. Um 19 Uhr die ersten die kamen und wurden herzlich begrüßt. Nie hatte man das Gefühl von Aufdringlichkeit und nie war die Freundlichkeit eingetrübt. Auch den mitgebrachten Geburtstagkuchen durften wir aufstellen und jeder hatte vom Restaurant dann Teller und aufgeschnittenes Stückchen am Platz serviert erhalten. Das Menu für uns die Männer als Fisch und Fleischesser hat wirklich den Stern verdient. Für mein Leben gerne verspeise ich gerne Tournedos Rossini. Immer etwas kritisch dass diese nicht in Brei versinken oder zu fett geraten oder nach nichts schmecken. Die Sorte von Carmen war wirklich klasse und gab diesem Teil das was es braucht. Die Damen aßen dann den Rindern das Futter weg. Aber auch das Gemüse hat eine Auszeichnung verdient und war eigenständig ohne dass es einfach durch das weglassen von Fleisch und Fisch entstanden sein sollte. Neben Hit und Obi geht das Restaurant äußerlich etwas unter. Man wird nicht mit der Nase darauf gestupft. Innen hat sich der Gestalter Mühe gegeben ein Ambiente zu schaffen, modern unaufgeregt mit schönen Lampen. Man sitzt auf den Vitra Stühlen gemütlich und über viele Stunden ohne müde zu werden. Die Weinkarte verschenkt nichts, überzieht aber auch nicht. Mit schönen Weissweinen und anschließende Roten aus Italien, getobt allerdings vom Süßwein mit wohl 14% Alc, aber unspritig. Hoffentlich bald wieder, super nette Brigade und Service…wir freuen uns.

Auch nach zahlreichen Besuchen mögen wir das Restaurant nach wie vor. Beim letzten Mal gefielen uns üppige Amuse Bouches, weniger allerdings der versalzene Risotto, schade. Das übrige Mittagsmenü war tadellos. Unangenehm aufgefallen sind uns die deutlich erhöhten Weinpreise, kaum eine Flasche unter 100 €. Dieser Schuss könnte nach hinten losgehen. Da loben wir uns doch immer wieder die Weinpreise in Spitzenrestaurants in Italien.

Sehr tolles Restaurant mit hervorragenden Service. Ich esse hier sehr gerne und mein Hund ist hier auch immer herzlich willkommen.
