Seestüberl Wössner See in Unterwössen

Ein bezauberndes kleines Restaurant an einem paradiesischen See – ein wahrer Geheimtipp. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich. Das Essen war hervorragend (vegetarischer Flammkuchen und Schweizer Wurstsalat). In der Nähe befinden sich ein Strandpool und ein Spielplatz, und man kann die Fische im See schwimmen sehen; so klar ist das Wasser. Unser Hund war herzlich willkommen. Leider hatte sie eine Zecke an der Schnauze. Die Mitarbeiterin bot an, sie sofort zu entfernen, was sie auch tat. Vielen Dank für einen wunderschönen Nachmittag!

Eine richtig schöne Lage, direkt am Wössner See, umgeben von Bergen, Wäldchen und Kühen 😅....einfach ein Träumchen und lädt definitiv zum verweilen ein 😎☀️🏖👌🏼!!! Abgerundet mit super Essen und total netten Personal.....absolute Empfehlung wenn man in der Nähe ist!!!

Ein wunderschönes Ausflugsziel . Der Wössner See, auch Herzsee genannt , lädt zum Baden und angeln ein. Im Seestüberl direkt am See , sitzt man gemütlich und hat einen super schönen Ausblick. Wir kehrten bei einer Wanderung ein und genossen das tolle Speiseangebot . Sehr freundliches Servicepersonal ! Man kann es nur empfehlen!

Bei unserer Radltour kehrten wir dort ein. Radler und Schweizer Wurstsalat war sehr gut, und die Portion, die anfänglich etwas klein aussah, war gut ausreichend. Der See ist auch super und bestimmt auch zum Baden. Service sehr zuvorkommend.

Leider hat der mit dem Pächterwechsel deutlich nachgelassen.

Absolute Zumutung – selbst als Einheimischer. Wir haben dem neuen Pächter inzwischen die dritte Chance gegeben, doch der heutige Besuch war leider die Krönung. Der Service war derart miserabel, dass wir über lange Zeit komplett ignoriert wurden. Das Personal wirkte nicht nur überfordert, sondern ließ uns regelrecht abblitzen. Bezahlen wollten wir draußen – ging nicht. Drinnen? Ebenfalls nicht. Erst nach einer Diskussion und mit viel Geduld war es überhaupt möglich zu bezahlen. Ein schlechterer Service ist kaum vorstellbar.

Hier kann man gemütlich essen und hat einen super Blick auf den Wössener See. Bedienung sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich wohl.

Hatten einen Wandertag eingeplant und den Tipp bekommen doch an den Wössner zu gehen... Gesagt getan, der See liegt etwas versteckt in einer kleinen Tal Senke... Haben uns dort einen Cappuccino und ein Stück Erdbeer Kuchen, selbst gemacht, gegönnt. Der Kuchen war sehr lecker und das anrichten war sehr schön schließlich ißt das Auge mit... Die Preise sind absolut in Ordnung...

Total nette Gastwirtschaft direkt am Wössener See. Kleine bodenständige Karte und netter Service. Strandbad und schöne Wanderwege in die Umgebung.

Wir haben den See schon öfters zum Schwimmen oder für einen Spaziergang besucht. Jetzt sind wir zum ersten Mal ins Seestüberl eingekehrt und werden sicher wiederkommen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und der Apfelstrudel mit Kaffee sehr lecker. Bier gibt es auch vom Fass. Die Preise sind leicht angehoben aber gemessen an der Lage am See nachvollziehbar. Die Hauptspeisen hatten wir nicht, entsprechend kann ich hierzu nichts sagen :) Die sanitären Anlagen waren sauber, worauf ich immer großen Wert lege. Alles in allem eine Empfehlung!

Wunderschön am Wössener See gelegen ist das Seestüberl ein kleines, verstecktes Juwel. Zu den Hauptspeisen kann ich leider nichts sagen. Wir sind hier an einem schönen, sonnigen Nachmittag eingekehrt. Ich habe hier den Kuchen des Tages und einen sehr leckeren Cappuccino bei bester Aussicht genossen. Die Bedienung war super nett und sehr auf Zack. Bei vorherigen Besuchen waren wir schon in dem See schwimmen gewesen, eingekehrt waren wir bisher noch nie - das wird aber ganz sicher nicht unser letzter Besuch gewesen sein. 😊

Ganz nettes Lokal direkt am See gelegen mit herzlichen Gastleuten! Wir hatten den Flammkuchen. Würden aber generell den Besuch dort empfehlen!

Sehr schöne idyllisch am See gelegene Gastronomie mit sehr nettem Personal. Für die Kleinen wurde eine Ostereiersuche organisiert und für die Großen gab es leckere Köstlichkeiten frisch vom Grill.

Ein absolutes Highlight am Wössener See! Wir waren heute im Seestüberl und sind restlos begeistert. Die Traumkulisse direkt am Wasser ist einfach unschlagbar – man kann hier wunderbar abschalten und den Blick auf die Berge und den See genießen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den super freundlichen Service. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, flott bedient und das gesamte Team war trotz Hochbetrieb extrem aufmerksam und gut gelaunt. Man fühlt sich hier als Gast wirklich willkommen. Auch das Essen war hervorragend! Alles frisch, liebevoll angerichtet und geschmacklich top. Ob für eine kleine Pause während der Wanderung oder ein ausgiebiges Essen – es lohnt sich definitiv. Fazit: Tolles Ambiente, erstklassiger Service und leckeres Essen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! ☀️🍴

Wunderschöner kleiner See, der ideal zum Baden oder einfach nur drum herum spazieren ist.

Das Ambiente ist toll. Das Essen ist okay, solide, aber nicht unbedingt ein Highlight. Wenn der Fokus auf Gesellschaft und Gemütlichkeit liegt, passt das. Nur für das Essen würde ich andere Lokale vorziehen. Die Auswahl ist auch sehr überschaubar. Der Service ist etwas rustikal, was in Bayer normal ist....also bayrisch, authentisch freundlich. In Summe ein schöner Ort, mit freundlichen Leuten mit solidem Essen. In gemütlicher Runde ein Besuch wert.

Unfortunately, the catering is truly substandard. They don't even have the capacity to bring a coffee to the lawn. And this is in the age of Recup. They could also take a leaf out of how the catering industry can function. (Siegsdorf outdoor pool)

A nice little place for a pleasant few hours. We had Zillertal salad and fries with truffle dip. Cons: - The fries were really only moderately hot. You can actually make them in the oven at home, or better. - After a while, I wished for regular mayo with the truffle dip. - The salad had some really bad ingredients, such as coleslaw with caraway. The actual salad was sitting on top. Also underneath was a cold bean salad, which wasn't particularly tasty, even though I generally like cold bean salad. Not this one, though, and neither of them really goes well with a good salad. - In the men's restrooms, two of the two urinals were out of order. Why don't they fix them? - Card payments aren't possible. I've written about this many times: Why is this even allowed? I see no reason for it and find it absolutely unacceptable (-1 star). Positive: - The salad was beautifully presented, with the dressing in a small, horizontal bottle. - The location is fantastic. You can see the beautiful lake and the mountains behind it, and right on the shore, in the shallow water, a group of nice, very large carp hang around, waiting to be fed. Super cool and interesting to watch. - The waitress was really very nice and friendly. Conclusion: You probably wouldn't go here for the food, but you'd go for the drinks. I would give it 3 stars if the location weren't so great. So, a clear case of location-based gastronomy.

A beautifully situated little restaurant right on Lake Wössen with a swimming area. From Oberwössen, you can walk directly along the stream to the restaurant. Sturdy shoes are recommended. The food was good and the service was really friendly. We especially liked the relaxed atmosphere.

Great, very inviting location. Were it not for the disgusting mess on the waterfront in front of the restaurant, no food was available around 1 p.m. The delivery driver didn't show up. There weren't even fries for the kids. The owner is clearly overwhelmed logistically. A 20-minute wait for a drink is hardly surprising. One waiter for 50 guests.

Beautifully situated with a swimming area. Delicious tarte flambée and excellent sausage salad. Lake Wössner is quite cold but clean.

We visited this spot during a bike tour in July 2025. A quiet location, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. We were able to refresh ourselves at the lido (no entry fee) ...and quench our hunger and thirst at the Seestüberl (lakeside restaurant). The food was delicious... Original, they also serve garlic and truffle fries... A lovely beer garden under the trees with a view of the lake... ...and with a view of the giant carp that swim tirelessly here. So, a recommendation for visitors who don't always need superlatives to enjoy themselves...

We had a great day with lots of drinks, delicious schnitzel, decent potato salad (😅), and lots of fun. The service was great, and the location right on the lake was fantastic. I'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to order anything. Reason: "Cash is king!" I find that very rude and a shame, since it can certainly happen that you can pay, but only with a card. Certainly an interesting story for the tax office.

No card payment in the resort – Stone Age – Hence only 2 stars. Addendum: After a bad review, the owner refuses to sell any more. Lets a 3-year-old child leave without ice cream if the father's review isn't deleted!!! Unacceptable to criticism and absolutely disgusting!!!

Great location right on the lake—ideal for relaxing after a walk or a day at the beach. The food was delicious, the service friendly, and the atmosphere relaxed. We felt completely at home and would love to come back next time! A thank you for the tip would have been nice. 😃

The beautiful Wössener See - a wonderful view of the mountains. Beautiful paths around and to the lake for hiking and a nice restaurant to stop off at. Very nice hosts and staff. Very cozy atmosphere and very clean sanitary facilities. The location is very attractive inside and out. Hospitality and comfort are very important here. You didn't feel like a tourist, but rather a warm welcome. Whether the red wine punch with shot, the white mulled wine or the winter beer, everything is very tasty. Also the onion bratwurst 😋😋😋 There is enough parking space in front of the door, but we preferred to come on foot. Maybe again next year when we vacation in this region for New Year's Eve. Very nicely located on a small lake.

Unfortunately we cannot rate the food, drink and service, but communication is poor. According to Google and the website it is open today. We have planned the Seestüberl as a stop in the bad weather. Suddenly closed today. Why don't we communicate this publicly? Is it too much work or is it not necessary? Very unfortunate.

Very nicely located restaurant, you can get a warm meal here even during the day. I ate a pumpkin ginger soup there that tasted really great because the soup was made from pumpkin and not from a can bag was touched. The schnitzel was also good and the portion was okay, unfortunately there were only fries with it. The location with a view of the lake is fantastic. The service was friendly. It's worth a visit for anyone who likes traditional cuisine, schnitzel, currywurst and white sausage. The beer from Hofbräuhaus in Traunstein goes very well with it.

Nice, small excursion restaurant with a “power place” character. There is a small menu that will probably (almost?) satisfy everyone. Prices are comparatively still reasonable. Very nice and friendly service. Unfortunately, there are incorrect rest days in Google Maps, which have probably already been complained about by the location. These are currently Wednesday and Thursday. Warm food is available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is open until 8 p.m. The restaurant is located right next to the idyllic Wössener See, practically in the middle of a very well-kept lawn (cave in front of the Mouver). Not far from there is a small playground and swimming areas - also suitable for “little ones” (with a water slide). Another highlight is the large swing for adults stretched between two huge trees (suitable for 2 people at the same time). All in all a wonderful experience. We would love to come back 😊

We would have loved to have been a guest, read so much, heard so much. When we arrived at the lake with our bikes at the beginning of September on a very warm day to go swimming and were looking forward to a snack in between, we were unfortunately surprised with new changed opening times... closed... Apparently we weren't the only ones, locals were also irritated and annoyed. Otherwise nice terrace and a wonderful lake 😊

Food OK, location great. The Google profile says that you can pay with all cards, but that's not true. There are signs “Cash only” everywhere. When asked, you get a snippy “The finance minister doesn’t have to know everything.” But they're happy to take the guests' well-behaved taxed money.

Unfortunately only 1 star due to dubiousness. At the restaurant's summer party, our table was not served by the waiter with the statement: "This is a table that cannot be booked, you won't get any drinks here." Although it was clearly visible that a disabled person with a wheelchair and a companion was eating (could be picked up from the grill) and drinks were being served at the neighboring table 1 m further on. When the landlord asked for drinks at the counter, he responded with "That's not my problem, there are no drinks here either." A behavior that is clearly beyond any serious gastronomy. Unfortunately, here in Unterwössen on Lake Wössner we have an unsuitable catering operator at this beautiful location. I regret that we as locals are not welcome here and will no longer be guests here.

We happened to be there yesterday evening and it was a summer festival. After swimming we wanted to eat something at the barbecue stand. The prices were really outrageous! For a Käsekrainer with a roll €8.90! The 11-year-old daughter cashed in and was pretty upset. When asked if I could have fries, which were also on the menu, it said inside. Inside I wasn't noticed at all because there was a lot going on. He sent me back out to the grill stand. The young girl there told me if I would see a deep fryer and that fries would only be available inside. So outrageous, no communication and then totally overpriced! I work in the hotel industry myself and this kind of behavior towards guests/customers is unacceptable!

With bright sunshine, full sunbathing lawns and cyclists, the tenants are unable to sell drinks or ice cream etc. all day long due to a lake festival from 5 p.m. Respect - This is how I imagine restaurateurs👍👍👍

It's a shame that you can't give away 1 star. Absolutely “last-class Seestüberl”. What can you say: Holiday, 35 degrees, many were out on their bikes and as a reward the Seestüberl was supposed to provide ice cream and drinks for the children, the meadow is full of families and thirsty/hungry children, you want to order something and then You get the answer: "We are closed today and have to prepare something for the evening. It's your own fault if you don't take anything with you"... and that even though there were staff on site... this staff is simply unbelievable!!!

Bad service, they walk away without taking a complete order and are unfriendly. We received different things than we ordered and it later turned out that you can only pay with cash... not tourist friendly!

An absolute highlight that there is now such good food with such friendly service... the community should support this with all possible means... that benefits the whole place... 👏👌

Juice shop…. We wanted fries three times, but we didn't get any three times because there was supposedly too much going on. TERRACE WASN'T EVEN FULL!!!! On a Sunday at 12:00 when it was over 30 degrees there wasn't a single ice cream left, something like that shouldn't happen! On a Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m., even when it was 30 degrees, according to the waitress there was only one leaf of lettuce. Sometimes you didn't even get a bottle of water, but some people need more water in this heat. Unfortunately, opening times are far too short for a seaside economy. The food is good, you can't say anything about it, but unfortunately as a bather you usually don't get anything!!!

Unfortunately the service is very unfriendly. The kiosk sales for the children at the beach regularly overwhelm her and she simply sends the children away again. Very surprising at 4.90 euros for a small portion of fries. Depending on your mood, things can also happen in the beer garden. Recently, after waiting 30 minutes, we were informed that there was no more food today and the beer we ordered never arrived. We can only recommend that the innkeeper look for a new waitress.

For tens of years, the quality of the Seestüberl has continued to decline. The cake and food selection and the service from before (before Parker!!) you can't expect more (on the hottest day last week all the ice cream was sold out by 12:30 - who plans like that?? Even just 1 cake to choose from doesn't exactly promote consumer desires). A bit of a shame for this beautiful place.

Wenn man nach dem Baden hier Essen möchte muss man sich beeilen,da die Küche zwar erst um 19,00 Uhr schließ,aber um 18.50 nachdem man bereits 10 Minuten ignoriert wurde nichts mehr bestellen kann. Nie wieder

We were here this evening for a quick evening swim and wanted to have a little something to eat. It was ten minutes to seven when the waitress finally came to our table to tell us that the kitchen was already closed. According to the notice, warm food until 7 p.m. That seems to be the fashion here since we were already here on Saturday morning. We actually just wanted to buy a coffee, since it was only half past eleven I wouldn't have expected warm food. When the waitress brought us the menu without being asked, I assumed that there was already something to eat. When I wanted to order white sausages, she said they would only be available from 11.30 a.m. because the chef wasn't there. So when I get the menu, it doesn't mean that I came to order something, or, as happens today, the food is served until 7 p.m. but at 6.50 p.m. I don't get anything anymore. Here you should consider whether you want to earn money or not. There aren't many days like this, so I should take advantage of it. The winter is long and with this attitude the tenants won't last long. Swimming is very nice here, but the gastronomy is a disaster.
