Great location. Great stop for hikes or as a stop for a walk. The only drawback. Cash only. And it repeats.

Food OK, location great. The Google profile says that you can pay with all cards, but that's not true. There are signs “Cash only” everywhere. When asked, you get a snippy “The finance minister doesn’t have to know everything.” But they're happy to take the guests' well-behaved taxed money.

Unfortunately only 1 star due to dubiousness. At the restaurant's summer party, our table was not served by the waiter with the statement: "This is a table that cannot be booked, you won't get any drinks here." Although it was clearly visible that a disabled person with a wheelchair and a companion was eating (could be picked up from the grill) and drinks were being served at the neighboring table 1 m further on. When the landlord asked for drinks at the counter, he responded with "That's not my problem, there are no drinks here either." A behavior that is clearly beyond any serious gastronomy. Unfortunately, here in Unterwössen on Lake Wössner we have an unsuitable catering operator at this beautiful location. I regret that we as locals are not welcome here and will no longer be guests here.

We happened to be there yesterday evening and it was a summer festival. After swimming we wanted to eat something at the barbecue stand. The prices were really outrageous! For a Käsekrainer with a roll €8.90! The 11-year-old daughter cashed in and was pretty upset. When asked if I could have fries, which were also on the menu, it said inside. Inside I wasn't noticed at all because there was a lot going on. He sent me back out to the grill stand. The young girl there told me if I would see a deep fryer and that fries would only be available inside. So outrageous, no communication and then totally overpriced! I work in the hotel industry myself and this kind of behavior towards guests/customers is unacceptable!

It's a shame that you can't give away 1 star. Absolutely “last-class Seestüberl”. What can you say: Holiday, 35 degrees, many were out on their bikes and as a reward the Seestüberl was supposed to provide ice cream and drinks for the children, the meadow is full of families and thirsty/hungry children, you want to order something and then You get the answer: "We are closed today and have to prepare something for the evening. It's your own fault if you don't take anything with you"... and that even though there were staff on site... this staff is simply unbelievable!!!

With bright sunshine, full sunbathing lawns and cyclists, the tenants are unable to sell drinks or ice cream etc. all day long due to a lake festival from 5 p.m. Respect - This is how I imagine restaurateurs👍👍👍

Bad service, they walk away without taking a complete order and are unfriendly. We received different things than we ordered and it later turned out that you can only pay with cash... not tourist friendly!

An absolute highlight that there is now such good food with such friendly service... the community should support this with all possible means... that benefits the whole place... 👏👌

Juice shop…. We wanted fries three times, but we didn't get any three times because there was supposedly too much going on. TERRACE WASN'T EVEN FULL!!!! On a Sunday at 12:00 when it was over 30 degrees there wasn't a single ice cream left, something like that shouldn't happen! On a Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m., even when it was 30 degrees, according to the waitress there was only one leaf of lettuce. Sometimes you didn't even get a bottle of water, but some people need more water in this heat. Unfortunately, opening times are far too short for a seaside economy. The food is good, you can't say anything about it, but unfortunately as a bather you usually don't get anything!!!

Unfortunately the service is very unfriendly. The kiosk sales for the children at the beach regularly overwhelm her and she simply sends the children away again. Very surprising at 4.90 euros for a small portion of fries. Depending on your mood, things can also happen in the beer garden. Recently, after waiting 30 minutes, we were informed that there was no more food today and the beer we ordered never arrived. We can only recommend that the innkeeper look for a new waitress.

We were here this evening for a quick evening swim and wanted to have a little something to eat. It was ten minutes to seven when the waitress finally came to our table to tell us that the kitchen was already closed. According to the notice, warm food until 7 p.m. That seems to be the fashion here since we were already here on Saturday morning. We actually just wanted to buy a coffee, since it was only half past eleven I wouldn't have expected warm food. When the waitress brought us the menu without being asked, I assumed that there was already something to eat. When I wanted to order white sausages, she said they would only be available from 11.30 a.m. because the chef wasn't there. So when I get the menu, it doesn't mean that I came to order something, or, as happens today, the food is served until 7 p.m. but at 6.50 p.m. I don't get anything anymore. Here you should consider whether you want to earn money or not. There aren't many days like this, so I should take advantage of it. The winter is long and with this attitude the tenants won't last long. Swimming is very nice here, but the gastronomy is a disaster.

For tens of years, the quality of the Seestüberl has continued to decline. The cake and food selection and the service from before (before Parker!!) you can't expect more (on the hottest day last week all the ice cream was sold out by 12:30 - who plans like that?? Even just 1 cake to choose from doesn't exactly promote consumer desires). A bit of a shame for this beautiful place.

Absolutely great, you expect a swimming pool chip shop and you get a very atmospheric atmosphere (especially in the evening, great to linger)

Seemed like a nice restaurant. When arrived by foot the staff was not very helpfully and friendly when we took a seat. Furthermore seems they still live in the middle ages as payments by (credit)card are not accepted. Wienerschnitzel was nice but not special. Environment was pittoresk.

Right at the beginning: this is a sea wonder! A beautiful, nice SEESTÜBERL on a beautiful lake with a swimming area. I cannot understand the criticism that is being expressed here. It's very rare that you can sit so nicely at a swimming pond, have a drink, eat well and enjoy the lake and the surrounding area. Prices and opening times are visible to everyone and completely ok. I'm glad that there's more to a lake than just fries and sausages. Thank you🙏🏼 I have always received nice service. The interior is also beautifully designed. The large windows allow a view of the lake, even if the weather is not perfect. It's a nice place for children, with swings and a slide. I would love to come back🫶🏼

At the town exit there is a sign with opening times. It was on October 6th. on site.Thursday Friday - not as stated - closed. Not so bad, but a number of tourists were strange. Schön gelegen, idyllisch gelegener kleiner See mit Badegelegenheit. Hier sind auch Vierbeiner in ihrem Element. Das Seestüberl ist überschaubar mit netter Terrasse und überdachtem Freisitz. Die Bewirtung ist in Ordung, könnte aber etwas freundlicher und aufmerksamer sein. Speisen sind im Rahmen und Getränke ebenfalls. Schöner Spaziergang um den See möglich. Alles sauber und ordentlich angelegt.

Das Seestüberl am Wössner See ist ein Idyll für Familien wie auch für nicht Badende. Tolle Aussicht, netter Service, kleine feine Karte, gute frische Küche. Wir haben euch zufällig entdeckt, waren heuer im 2. Jahr bei euch und kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren heute dort zum Essen…. Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend… das Essen war lecker und der Ausblick auf den See toll… sehr zu empfehlen… wir kommen gerne wieder ….

Habe sehr leckeren Zwetschgendatschi und geschmacklich guten Kaffee zu einem alles in allem ordentlichen Preis- Leistungsverhältnis bekommen. Die Bedienung blieb trotz großen Andrangs ruhig und freundlich. Der See und das ganze Drumherum mit Bergen und Wiesen ist ein absolutes Kleinod. M.E.absolut empfehlenswert für Familien mit Kindern, aber auch Einzelpersonen.

Tolle kleine Gaststätte direkt am Wössener See gelegen. Absolut erwähnenswert das man im See umsonst schwimmen kann. Es sollte mehr solcher Orte geben.

Fisch Saibling kalt mit Meerretich doppelter Preis im vergleich zu einer Gaststätte am Chiemsee..Sehr geehrter Inhaber wir besuchen das Seestüberl schon mehrere Jahre und essen diesen Fisch ,deswegen haben wir ohne die Speisekarte bestellt. Leider haben wir so einen Preis vorher noch niemals bezahlt.

Sehr schön gelegener See. Waren jetzt das zweite Jahr da, letztes Jahr super essen☺️Schnitzel und Burger top. Dieses Jahr lässt die Speisekarte zu wünschen übrig, hauptsächlich Pommes , waren aber auch lecker. Trotzdem schade🥹 Bedienungen wie immer nett, tolles Team

Tolles Restaurant am Badesee. Bietet leckere Speisen, vor allem die Knoblauchpommes. Super Ausblick auf den See. Im nächsten Urlaub auf jeden Fall wieder.

Tolle Lage direkt am See. Schattenplätze zum draußen verweilen vorhanden. Toll ist dass man keinen Eintritt bezahlt und die gesamte Badeanlage sowie die Sanitäranlagen mitnutzen kann. Freundliches Personal und gute Auswahl ansprechen und Getränken faire Preise.
