We were there yesterday. It has a beautiful terrace and the view is breathtaking. The service is abysmal. We were there at 5:15 p.m. My husband and I wanted something to eat. The fries were already out because the kitchen was closed, and the fish on a skewer was already falling apart for that price. The tables were dirty and the service staff were already on their break. We were given a receipt and told to go to the bathroom with it. The bathroom was already locked at 5:45 p.m. Not recommended.

We enjoyed a lovely view of the lake on the sunny terrace and had a bite to eat.

The place is nice. But the service leaves much to be desired. Initially, we sat at one of the tables far away from the water. We placed our order. Then, a beautiful table near the water became available, and we decided to move there. However, we were approached and told that we could not move to other tables. This was absurd. I don't see a problem with customers moving to a table with a better view. Our mood immediately deteriorated, and we felt the urge to leave.

They ask for 1.40€ even if you already consume stuff in this restaurant. I felt like with scammers

The food was okay, the service was fast and friendly. Great views of the mountains and lake.

This restaurant and the self-service area generate considerable revenue every day—clear proof that you're a popular destination for tourists. I'm all the more surprised that only cash payments are accepted. Many guests find this solution outdated and unhygienic. May I ask why you don't accept card payments? Visitors from Scandinavia or the Benelux countries, where cashless payment has long been the norm, often react with surprise.

I ordered a burger with fries and goulash soup. Everything was wonderful.

We spontaneously visited this restaurant. Positive: Despite the crowd, the four of us got a seat right away, and the service was friendly and quick. Everything was clean, and the view was beautiful. Negative: and therefore only 3 stars. The food was very expensive. The portion for a grown man is half a portion, and the drinks were also overpriced (a 0.33 liter lemonade costs €4.10). I'm also aware that Lake Eibsee is a tourist magnet, and everything is a bit more expensive here and there. I don't think the price-performance ratio for the food is justified. (My personal opinion)

Lake Einsee is beautiful! However, the service is absolutely unfriendly. The coffee is also very bad.

We had the white sausage/pretzel for €10 and the cheeseburger for €23 + a 0.5 L Spezi for €4.80. Awesome! Large portions, perfectly prepared, great price, what more could you want? We also had a side dish and left with about €50. We also tipped our super-friendly waitress <3. Blonde professional with lots of experience in service. The location is, of course, a dream. All in all, one of the best dining experiences in a long time. We'll be back.

Huge lakeside terrace overlooking Lake Eibsee. Very well done, offering the choice between the Eibsee Pavilion Restaurant, where you receive traditional service, or the self-service bistro. We were in the restaurant, were served quickly, and the service was very friendly! The food arrived just as quickly as the drinks. We had the chicken breast and the 🍣 salmon tarte flambée. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was nowhere near worth what you a) pay for and b) expect! The chicken 🍗 was not seasoned at all 🧂 and, in terms of quality, resembled a trip to Turkey 🇹🇷, where you get pure chicken grilled in the forest 🌳. It was cooked well, but it was a bit disappointing. With a little extra seasoning, it still tasted good, hence one star less. The tarte flambée could have used a bit more crème fraîche. All in all, it was very nice there! And the friendly service made up for it! Incredibly beautiful place 😍, the Eibsee in all its glory with the Zugspitze behind it. Picturesque 👩‍🎨 scenery, highly recommended! The circular route with gentle climbs around the lake on a wide nature trail is pleasant to walk, with plenty of shady spots. It takes about 1.5 hours and has various swimming spots. Highly recommended! Huge parking lot 🅿️ at the start of the 🚠 cable car!

The food was quite good for mass tourism and the location with the view was great.

Initially, there was no service at all. After 10 minutes, a woman finally came and quickly took our order. The drinks and food also arrived after 5 minutes. The food was simple, ready-made food at a much too high price. A cheeseburger with a few frozen fries was €23.50. Once, and NEVER AGAIN!!! Absolutely outrageous!

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is completely out of our league! We had Kaiserschmarrn and currywurst fries there and were very disappointed. We even told the waiter (who was friendly!), but unfortunately, we didn't get a response. We can't recommend the restaurant.

Spätzle, burgers, you can't be serious. Spätzle in Bavaria is so unpretentious. A shame. Service was quick and efficient. I don't need to say anything about the view: it's just Eibsee.

They asked 1 Eur extra for toilet per person, excuse was it's open to public, after some heated argument about legality of what they are trying to do they gave some receipts from trash to use toilet for free. Trap establishment considering it's perfect treatment on summit and shakedown underneath

The food is okay. Currywurst and fries for 11.50 are also okay for a tourist location, but could taste a little better. Cleanliness was only 3/5 stars.

Our server was very nice and the ambiance was excellent. It was worth the wait. They even had grilled fish at the self-service counter. Really great.

Everything was great until we tried to use the restroom and the bathroom attendant wouldn’t let us in without a receipt that we are there. We had 2 receipts for 4 people and as I handed my friend the receipt he would not let us use the bathroom because “this Germany and it is fair here, that is not fair that we are sharing a receipt” when quite clearly there are 2 meals per receipt. This also happened to another couple who came up from the restaurant and had left their receipt on the table as well

Food like from a canteen, prices like those at a Michelin-starred restaurant – at least the lake was real.

The star goes to the Hacker Pschorr on tap and the acceptable food. The constantly irritable service is absolutely abysmal, and you have to apologize if you're allowed to leave your hard-earned money there. They're not very considerate, always speaking in an inhibited, aggressive, annoyed tone. Never again!

The food was delicious; I had a schnitzel with fries. (Tip: order it with cranberries.) The staff were courteous and friendly. The lake view was beautiful!

The atmosphere of the shop is great. The staff is very friendly. Everyone tries to convey a very neat and tidy style, which I really appreciate. The food came very quickly, just as quickly as the disappointment. I had a chicken burger, which looked like the one you'd get at a chip shop at a local hardware store. The advantage there is that it only costs €8, not €20. The burger overall was unfortunately far too dry, with almost no sauce. The patty was dry, more like a rice cake. I had expected more from the food; perhaps an isolated incident, but given the overall experience, it was rather unfortunate and even embarrassing.

The day we (2 adults and 2 children) wanted to eat there, it was so crowded that we had to wait in line for a table. We ordered white sausages with sweet mustard, tomato/orange cream soup, spaghetti with tomato sauce, and fries. The white sausages were pre-packaged. The sweet mustard came from a packet. They could at least make the sweet mustard themselves. The tomato cream soup wasn't creamy; it was runny like water. The children's portion of spaghetti with tomato sauce was also runny like water. Our child didn't want to eat it, which I could understand. The fries were okay. The food wasn't worth the money. The service made us wait a long time after we ordered our drinks. The view of the lake was very nice. That's probably why the place is so busy.

Great view. Mass processing, but the waitresses, despite their efforts, are always helpful, but not as friendly as they should be. The food is good value for money. Restrooms are also open to all non-guests if you pay a small fee. There are even lines for the men's restroom...better to have only 60% of the seats, 70% higher prices, and it could be very nice.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio here isn't right. It's cheaper on the Zugspitze than there. The service can barely understand German... The food is prepared quickly. It tastes great, too. It's a real shame, but the ambiance is very modern.

Wonderful atmosphere by Lake Eib

We concluded our European adventure with a day trip to Lake Eibsee to see the German Alps. We ate at seeRestaurant-EIBSEE Pavillon, which had a gorgeous view of the lake and the Alps. I had a Flammkuchen, a flatbread with bacon, sour cream, and chives. It was a simple, yet delicious meal! I loved the crispiness of the flatbread and the sour cream wasn’t overwhelming at all. This was a great bang for your buck meal because the other dishes were quite pricey.

My wife, like many others, is in a wheelchair. Because of the stairs, she can't reach the restaurant terrace. She can sit on the lower terrace of the simple self-service restaurant. But the restaurant staff refuses to take orders downstairs. Extremely poor service for people confined to wheelchairs. This company makes a fortune; surely a stairlift could be installed here? So no, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Some of the food isn't exactly cheap, but the Wiener schnitzel was absolutely delicious. Plus, it had a lovely view and a friendly waiter.

Very tourist-oriented, which means it's crowded and sometimes loud, but the service is fast and friendly and the food is good.

Service quite inattentive, food nothing special

We were seated in the middle first and were served perfectly by the lady. We paid and wanted to sit at a table outside and eat, but another woman said she was in charge of the tables outside and wouldn't let us in. A strange old waitress outside spoke to us in a raised voice so that all the guests could hear. She was rude to us. I think it's absolutely not okay for people who cause problems out of the blue and are rude to work near people! The waitress, a very mature woman, didn't allow us to sit at a free table outside, and there were four of them at the time. Because we are young and this is a tourist spot, and it's normal here to take photos, this woman was rude to us when she said she was in charge of the tables on the terrace. They said we would take photos and leave, but we wanted to eat.

The location on the lakeshore is fantastic. We sat in the front row and thoroughly enjoyed the view. The service was very professional and friendly. It was busy, and the waitresses were very reliable. We only had an apple strudel and a few drinks. That was good. A pleasant stay.

Highly recommended in nice weather. You can rent pedal boats, go swimming, ride the Zugspitze cable car, and much more.

Delicious food and friendly service.

The food is super great! Especially the Vienna pork schnitzel, super crispy skin with tinder inside😋 Our own table service guy is also nice and attentive, but there was a lady with pink glasses who only speaks Germany. She just randomly grabbed a garbage into our desk, assuming it was ours, which was definitely not. When we told her that, there wasn’t any apology, she just took it away while mumbling some words we didn’t catch, and we didn’t feel it’s nice. In general, a really lovely meal is a bit ruined with this extra service we never asked for🙃 Hope there would be more improvements on this.

The currywurst with fries was okay for €11.50, and the 0.5l beer for €4.50 was also delicious, but €7.50 for a bratwurst in a bun is a bit extortionate in my humble opinion. Some dishes are exorbitantly priced.

The location on the lake is, of course, incredibly beautiful, and the service staff were really friendly and attentive, but the food was not good at all. The Kaiserschmarren (smothered pancakes) was extremely dry and tasteless.

Great restaurant with a well-thought-out self-service concept! The selection was varied, the food fresh and truly delicious – everything was delicious. The on-site organization also ran smoothly; despite being self-service, you felt well looked after. The staff was friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back – highly recommended!

The bad thing was that I wanted to change tables and they prevented me from doing so just because I had already placed my order and the way one of their waitresses let me know was not the most friendly, however almost all the outside tables have a good view, I think the waiters are not used to a 100% occupancy of the restaurant since they seemed desperate and even argued with customers who asked for speed, but the food is served very quickly once you order it, the flavor is delicious, the portion is good and their prices are affordable. I would go back but I would choose a better table 😅

Rude staff. High prices. We had the veal schnitzel, which tasted okay but the portion was very small. We weren't full.

The food was okay, the cheese spaetzle is always filling, but it was a bit pricey. The service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere is, of course, fabulous, as you can sit right by the lake, and you can pay an extra €2-3 for that.

After a hike lasting several hours, you'll be rewarded with a perfect view and delicious food. An added bonus: small portions are available upon request. The roast pork was perfect!

The worst restaurant experience imaginable. I stood in line for 30 minutes to eat grilled mackerel, and when it was finally my turn, I was told the fish wasn't ready, even though I was standing right next to it and could see that it was. You can't pay for fish and then pick it up when it's ready. The recommendation from the really cheeky and rude employee was to just get back in line and, with a bit of luck, you might get a fish, if they hadn't all been sold to other guests by then and you had to wait another 30 minutes. Restaurant and service at their worst! 6! Never again!!!!

The food, drinks, and location were good. Modern and a truly great location with a view of Lake Eibsee. Our waitress (blonde, older—as mentioned in other reviews) was unfortunately very unfriendly. Only at the end, when it came to her tip, did she become friendly. It's a shame, because that's what sticks in your memory. No matter how good the restaurant is, it's still worth it.

The salad had too much dressing towards the end and the lettuce leaves were in large pieces, the pork with dumplings is not an experience to be repeated, the best part of it was the skin, the escalopes were very good and especially the rice

Worst restaurant we've been to. The waitress, blonde, older, should have been serving customers, was unfriendly, stressed, and made us feel unwelcome. More like an annoyance. We had Kaiserschmarrn, which was just an extremely sweet, hard lump. The restaurant is right on the lake, which is really lovely. Unfortunately, we don't recommend it at all.

We visited this place in the evening. The restaurant was closed at about 5 pm, only the beer yard was open. The staff there was very friendly. Very little choice of dishes, most of the dishes available at that time were fatty, fried. A number of dishes were already, unfortunately, unavailable. Only store-bought dressings in packages for the salad. Very high-calorie food. In terms of taste, out of the whole order, I liked the beer the most. The beer yard is self-service. Beautiful view, but I would not eat here again. There is a paid toilet (1 euro).

I was very irritated by the service staff. One day, someone would come and serve the customers, then they'd take a break and sit down to eat. Two minutes later, they'd be back at the service, then they'd sit down again! A break from work? I really felt ignored. You can't go wrong with drinks. The food was expensive and the portions were small - not recommended if you're hungry, but it was okay, oh well. Do it once and you'll know what you're doing.

The food (salad with chicken strips) was excellent, and the price/performance ratio was more than good for the location. The food and service were absolutely top-notch, but I wonder if they can ban smoking in the restaurant. It's not necessary to constantly inhale cigarette smoke while eating there. Otherwise, a truly stunning setting.
