We ate two roast roasts shortly before closing. Simply very tasty. Friendly staff and you don't need to say anything about the location.

The prices are a little high (but it’s Bavaria). View of the lake for lunch! The food is good, the salmon was very good! The accompaniments were perfect! Note if you have the same dessert, 1 for 2 or even 3 will be more than enough!

Never in my wildest nightmares did I expect to experience service like this. Imagine waiting over half an hour just to place an order, on what was clearly not a busy day. Staff members were standing around, seemingly auditioning for the role of "Statue of the Year." We tried multiple times to get their attention—waving, signaling, practically resorting to smoke signals—and still, nothing. It started to feel like we were being purposefully ignored. Eventually, we decided to leave, but not before asking a simple question on our way out: "How exactly does one place an order here?" The staff member’s answer? "You just sit at a table." Ah, of course—silly us, thinking sitting down was enough. When we pointed out that we’d been waiting forever, he just shrugged as if to say, "So what?" Let me be crystal clear: they noticed us. I made eye contact with at least two or three different staff members, all of whom acknowledged us but chose to do absolutely nothing about it.

Of course, great ambience right on the Eibsee. This means the prices are a little higher. Had the salad with feta cheese and a curry sausage with fries. Salad was tasty and sufficient. The currywurst was very spicy, which was not declared as such. Service was very friendly and quick.

Food was okay, but due to the beautiful location, it was of course quite expensive for the amount that was served. Service was very nice and tried hard, but unfortunately the waiting times were a bit long, not only when waiting for a seat, but also when waiting for the food

What a view... The Eibsee and the Zugspitze are at your feet

My husband and I ordered our drinks from a very nice waiter and were in the process of choosing our food. Another waitress showed up (old woman) to serve our drinks. I'm wearing a normal top because it's extremely warm. She told us to leave the restaurant because the boss apparently wanted us to wear a T-shirt. If that were the case, our waiter would certainly have said something about it. Not to mention that the lady at the table next to us was also “only” wearing a top. That's a disgrace. In the current century, discrimination based on clothing. Underground!!!!!!!!

Roasting pigs went out around midday, ridiculous, never again. then ordered rice with chicken. Received: 2 small pieces of chicken files for €21 didn't taste good , next time I'll look for something else, I looked for positive reviews, but not many are true!!!!!!!!!!

Käsespätzle and cheeseburgers are of absolutely inferior quality. But it is very expensive and the blonde, older waitress is very unfriendly.

Great view of Elbsee Lake. We had a couple of scoops of ice cream, a glass of white wine, and apple strudel with vanilla ice cream, which were delicious! It was raining around 4pm to 5:15, as predicted by weather forecasts. So the roof of outdoor area was closed and every guest need to get out😅😂🤣

As vegetarians, we were happy to have a choice, but the spaetzle and vegan burgers weren't exactly great. It's always filling, but the price hurts. However, the food was served quite quickly and the service was friendly. The view is of course great!

The views are great, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. They also allow smoking on the covered terrace and we spent two hours smelling of smoke while we ate…

The view is great and the interior is also neat and up to date. Sadly they don’t know manners here as the staff is quite rude. We were waiting outside while raining to take a place outside and instead of saying something one of the oldest ladies just moved the sign that said “wait outside” even closer to me as if that would help. The chicken burger for €20 is crazy expensive as it’s the most basic chicken burger there is (similar to the one you buy at the supermarket for €3) and the fries are too salty. I must say for €4,8 the drinks are very large so there’s that at least. All in all, they’re still in business because of the view, because otherwise this place would’ve gone out of business quickly

The food was incredibly delicious, the view was wonderful and the atmosphere was simply great. A visit is a must on a trip to Eibsee.

Prices are reasonable, food is okay, service was initially friendly. 4/5 I came back at 5 p.m., according to Google Maps opening time until 5:30 p.m., very unfriendly employee said it was closed and not even the toilets could be used 0/5

Here's a summary of what happened in a single visit: 1) Female German waitress glared at my wife. 2) Eastern European male waiter told me that the pork I ordered was not halal. Thanks for the information. 3) Same waiter, after bringing out an incorrect meal, told my wife several times that she ordered something different to what she actually ordered, then aggressively took the meal away and swore. 4) Just after we moved to a new table with a better view of the lake, German waiter put his dirty tray down on our new table. Shortly after, he came back and took my half-finished coffee from me, and hesitated to give it back after I told him it was mine. We left without eating. Thanks for the coffee though.

Great location, for a rest after you have hiked the almost 8 km around the Eibsee, very good food and fresh drinks with a view of the lake, what more could you want to end the day.

Great view, delicious food and we had a nice young gentleman as a waitress. He brought us pens for painting. Changing table available. So a child-friendly restaurant. The children's meal could have been presented a little nicer. That's just a minimal point of criticism. You should come early in the afternoon, then it's not that crowded. I can recommend a visit.

Perfect lunch with friends. We had a great time with friends in this restaurant. The location is very good, the prices are reasonable and the highlight of the evening was the naturally smoked fish. Highly Recommended!

Located directly on the lake, I think it's good that there is a self-service and a restaurant, both separate from each other, so there was no waiting time in the restaurant, there was a queue at the self-service. We only ate cheesecake and it was delicious.

A beautiful place, nature at its maximum splendor, quiet and beautiful, what else can I say, and if the company is good, you can't ask for more.

It is clear that you have to wait when crowds of tourists push through at Eibsee and the staff is understaffed. Anyone who complains about this doesn't understand the system. The food is a few euros more expensive than elsewhere, tastes delicious and was there quite quickly. Our waitress was extremely friendly, funny and joked with all of her tables. Inside it is nicely decorated.

The countless reviews here of terrible service and racist attitudes speak for itself. We had an unpleasant experience with the same tricks of delaying attending to our table or denying us certain seats. “It’s a different section” - a different section of what, exactly? Speaking to us repeatedly in German, when I have asked from the beginning if we can converse in English, is complete rubbish. It was so ridiculous it could almost be comical. Nobody is humiliated or demeaned other than you, for your backward attitude which is now exposed.

Great location!! However, it tends to be overcrowded in the afternoon... It's best to visit early in the morning. The food wasn't that great for me!!! But the view made up for it. It's very geared towards mass processing. But of course you'll get full... It's okay if you're a little hungry.

Nice view of the Eibsee. The selection of food is also very appealing, everyone will find something 😉 Instead of the vegetarian tarte flambée, I got the one with salmon. I would have liked a little apology here & that maybe they wouldn't try to argue with me that I had ordered it with salmon after all 🙈 Otherwise everything was fine & it tasted good too.

The restaurant's service is an absolute disaster. First we are told our table will be cleared straight away, then almost 10 minutes later we are seated at the dirty table which is not cleaned or cleared for another 5 minutes. When we asked for new menus because the old ones were full of leftover food, they took them away, but about another 10 minutes later we still didn't have any new ones. Given the high prices that prevail here, this service is terrible

This was my most enjoyable meal during our entire time in Bavaria. The weather was perfect when we were there, and the view of the lake was stunning (more so than even Hallstatt, in my opinion). The food was very good, and the service was excellent. Lots of people were out enjoying the lake with boats, paddleboards, etc., and the blue and green colors of the lake were stunning.

Very nice spot to sit and have a drink but the staff are extremely rude especially this old wrinkly blonde waitress who looked at us like she wanted to kill us when we sat not under cover and rudely gave us a dirty look and told us to move. Very disappointed, felt like she had an agenda against the non-germans

Frankly speaking, it is a failure in terms of how the employees deal, especially the old employee, who is not polite in a way that is not normal, and whenever we say something, she says no and is dismissive, her manner is bad 👎🏻

Of course the location and the view are fantastic. But the prices too!!! Just a tourist hotspot!!! You have to know

We had potato salad with chicken and a couple of burgers, I don't assume anything is made fresh on site. The burgers are assembled from products from the gastro wholesale market. The potato salad is probably delivered ready-made and the chicken is a fried, dry piece of meat. The "Restorant" is rather a bad snack bar. Price/performance lousy. But since they have practically no congruence and new customers/tourists are always coming, they get away with it.

You are placed... If someone from service came. 15 people wanted to eat. Instead, it was time to wait. The tables were only 1/2 full. So lack of space wasn't the problem. Since I want to eat when I'm hungry and don't want to be told to wait by a sign, I wasn't able to form my own opinion about the food this time.

Very tasty food, prepared carefully and visually appealing. The staff is very attentive and friendly. While eating you can enjoy the direct view of the Eibsee. That was great.

It's up to your decision if this small 100 ml soup should be on the menu or not for 7 euro .. it should be also the ml information.. I laughed a lot

Very expensive, and crowded...nice place

Manager not willing to help people during thunderstorm. We were at the Biergarten with food, when suddenly a big dounpour started. The storm went worse and people tried to get shelter in the nearby restaurant. The manager denied entrance - there were little kids soaking wett. I was soaked and shivered in the cold outdoors. The manager was really not up to the task. Wordt experience!

Common place where you can eat something quick before continuing visiting the lake. Typical Currywürste found anywhere. The views are very beautiful.

Very pleasant atmosphere! Very good service… The waiter who served my family was very kind. The food is good! Nothing “Wow” but good!!

So the thing lives from the view. The currywurst was more like Krakow, full of lumps of fat. No, that wasn't really great. But there is no alternative if you are hungry. Addendum: sorry, that was the beer garden. The price of the restaurant was completely off the charts.

I thought it would be very expensive for a restaurant near a tourist attraction like this, but the price wasn't bad. (However, I went to a self-service bar, not a restaurant.) I had grilled fish, and my friend ordered a salad bowl with halloumi cheese, and both were okay. It was nice to be able to eat while looking at the view.

typical case of a german restaurant with racist waitress. We were sitting on the terrace having our coffee when she came and started dragging our table without any warning. The reason she gave: “we have to move the table a bit inside because it is raining now”. There wasn’t a single drop of rain and our table was already well under the shade. Nobody else on the terrace was asked to move neither were their tables moved. Soon after we left, she placed the table right back to where it originally was :) what a jealous lowlife. If anyone in the Management is reading this, ask her if she typically drags guest’s table unannounced, while they are having their food. Maybe it was her tactic to make us leave early although we didn’t spend more than 40mins inside the restaurant. The vegetarian dishes we ordered for lunch were also disgusting. Never again.

Was waiting there for 15 mins. Nothing happened. Nobody came to us and informed us what we should do. Eventually a rude waitress came up to us and took out her frustration on us. We were so disappointed by this that we lost our appetite and decided to leave. I feel like lying that I have to give this service even 1 star

Wonderful view. Unfortunately the vegan burger was very cheeky for the price of 21 euros. Quality is similar to McDonalds at 11pm at night. Nice personel.

It was a rainy day, and the scenery on the lake was almost completely obscured by fog. We were cold and wet. Fortunately, this restaurant was between the most convenient entrance to the lake trail and the bus stop, so we hid in the restaurant and took a rest. We don’t have high expectations for restaurants in tourist areas, and we are prepared to pay the more expensive prices in tourist areas. I ordered a pork chop, which was more delicious than expected. It also came with a piece of fried pork skin that was as crispy and delicious as Hong Kong-style crispy pork. The seasoning was also very good. Apple pie is a "real" apple pie where you can eat apple seeds and apple peel. I don't know if the pie I am used to in Germany has a floury texture, soggy and soft, which is not to my liking, but maybe someone will like it? ! The coffee and beer are decent. There are free toilets in the restaurant. There is an additional fee for entering the same toilet from another non-restaurant entrance outside the building. Roast pork 19.5 euros Apple pie 6 euros

Unfriendly service when we asked for a place, even after 20 minutes of waiting there was still no service in sight. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy due to the bad weather

The food was very tasty and definitely worth the price. Unfortunately, we were given the feeling that they didn't want to serve us as guests. The restaurant was half full and since there was a sign saying that the service team would seat us, we asked for a table for two people, the answer we got was “no” and the service staff moved on. Confused, we asked again and were told: “Just sit down somewhere!” However, the rest of the service was very friendly and helpful!

Very rude staff. When we asked whether we had to make a reservation or whether we could sit down, we were ignored or simply sent to the beer garden. Shortly after opening, the beer garden hardly had anything to eat and only one in three employees spoke German. Can only recommend it for the view.

Nach der Umrundung des Sees kann man hier gut auf einen Kaffee und/oder ein Essen einkehren. Service und Essen sind gut.

Of course, it must be clear to you that this is a typical tourist restaurant, but the price-performance ratio is even worse than expected. 22 euros for a swimming pool level burger with the cheapest fries on the side is absolutely outrageous. I can understand the high prices due to the location, but then I also expect a little more quality. This is just a rip off!!! Cappuccino was also an absolute disgrace. A bit of milk broth and building foam on top. Better to go to Eibsee to a real restaurant in Garmisch.

Outstanding service, atmosphere, and cuisine!

Das ganze teilt sich in Selbstbedienung und Bewirteten Teil auf. Hab die SB genutzt, die ist deutlich günstiger. Essen war jetzt nicht außergewöhnlich gut, aber alles absolut solide. Hat geschmeckt, vor allem nach ner mehrstündigen Wanderung. Personal könnte wirklich etwas netter sein.
