One of the best restaurants we've ever been to. A beautiful setting with a real character, where you quickly feel at home. I've never experienced friendlier service and chefs. The homemade food was incredibly delicious (the best schnitzel I've ever had) and I wish I could have tried more. We had the restaurant to ourselves on my girlfriend's birthday, and yet it wasn't lonely at all. A must for anyone visiting the Eibsee area.

Incredibly delicious food and huge portions! The pork knuckle was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, the schnitzel golden brown and tender. The side dishes were also fresh and beautifully presented. If you're really hungry and love good Bavarian cuisine, this is the place for you. I'll definitely be back!

Warm, friendly, and delicious food. We ate at Gungl Stubn with our daughter and were completely satisfied. Children are warmly welcomed here, given toys and drawing materials, and sometimes even a sweet treat or ice cream on the house. That's a rare find! The staff is very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. They happily try to accommodate requests. The food was excellent, and even our daughter finished her entire portion (which also rarely happens). If we ever vacation in the area again, we will definitely return.

This wasn’t our first time here, and both the service and location were outstanding! The meals were filling, big, and also very delicious, and the people very truly friendly and helpful. The decorations are spectacular, and I’d recommend this place to anyone who happened to travel nearby.

We especially recommend the pork knuckle and the baked potato with chicken, as well as the various schnitzel options. All in all, it was an incredibly enjoyable and delicious experience. If we're ever in the area again on vacation, the Gungl Stubn will be the first place we visit.

We just ate there and it was simply superb. The schnitzel was incredibly delicious, and the presentation on a wooden tray was absolutely beautiful. My son loved the steakhouse fries, and my wife was delighted with the wonderful salad and its fruity raspberry dressing. Thank you to the kitchen team and the service staff. It was wonderful. Was super hungry and randomly stopped here—so glad I did! As a pure vegetarian, I found great options. Pumpkin soup, spaghetti, and salad were all delicious, and the Kaiserschmarrn was a perfect sweet treat. Really happy with the experience!

Right from the start, we arrived with our 1- and 4-year-old children, and toys, a high chair, and even children's cutlery were immediately provided – I rarely see that. The food is fresh, delicious, and homemade. The Spätzle are hand-scraped. The meat is tender and juicy, and the salad is crisp. The owner constantly interacts with the guests, including the children. That's how hospitality should be! The kids want to wander around the restaurant? No problem. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best restaurnats im this area. It has a very rustic german feeling and is decorared very nicely. I was with two friends and all food we ordered was top tier. The best Jägerschnitzel ever i've ever had! The waiters were very kind and open. Would definitely recomend this to everyone visiting Grainau / Zugspitze.

Went three years ago and today, wasn't disappointed either time. Cost slightly higher than other restaurants nearby, but certainly compensated in both quality and portion size. A great couple of beers on offer as well, couldn't recommend the restaurant more!
