Super tasty food with decent portions. Perfect!

After so many years of coming to GAP again and again, we decided to eat at Bosna Restaurant. I love Jugo cuisine, that's why we decided to eat there. Unfortunately I was very disappointed, my daughter ordered chicken nuggets and they were raw inside, fries were also cold. I didn't trust us to say anything because I was arguing with the lady from the kitchen all the time (I understand Bosnian) and the mood was bad.

Very tasty food, didn't have to wait long and the service was also very friendly. We felt comfortable ☺️

Horrible service. The lady was so rude , barely spoke German , let alone any English. When we said we wanted to pay separately she lost it and started complaining. This is a full-service chip shop. Frozen goods fried or hot in the oven. Looks just like a real restaurant. And the prices are really high.

I ordered a pork knuckle with dumplings and I have to say that both the portion size and the taste were great. The sauce was very tasty and the knuckle was super tender. However, I think that one service is not enough and unfortunately I was missing the schnapps in the end. Furthermore, I would have preferred a vegetable side dish with the pork knuckle rather than a salad. All in all, good value for money and would eat there again.

We just choose this restaurant randomly, but the food is totally out of expectations. We just tried Schweinehaxe and Schnitzel, definitely recommended! And the view ourside is really good!

The place is great, but the lady likes it when you order food as well as a drink, we were passing by and only went for a beer. It was quite noticeable about the lady, how she treated guests with and without food. Halfway through the beer, she came to ask if we wanted to pay 😁

Very tasty Yugoslavian cuisine with very nice and courteous service. There wasn't a long wait and the food was delicious. You can have a good meal there without any worries.

Metzgerstubn Restaurant Bosnia, Grainau. As we entered this typical Bavarian establishment, we were lucky enough to come across a restaurant that has been in this city for 38 years and was recently passed on to the daughter who took over the responsibility, Bavarian and Bosnian ethnic cuisine at its finest to prepare. If you happen to be in Grainau, after your hike this is a special place to enjoy home cooking with taste and love in every bite. Don't miss this gem!

Not worth a single star! I don't often write reviews but I just have to here. Not recommended. I'll start with the service, slightly overwhelmed and hardly recognizable as a service and not exactly friendly. You didn't really feel comfortable. The food was really terrible! There were two of us and we ordered different things. The garlic bread (1 cheap baguette roll toasted on one side, i.e. half raw, where you pay 45 cents for a pack of 4) with a little garlic on top. The so-called cucumber salad with garlic sauce was just thick, unseasoned cucumber slices with balsamic sauce (nothing with garlic... My companion had unseasoned frozen vegetables. Fries without anything (neither salt nor ketchup). My wine glass was calcified. Not again. Annotation! The visit took place 3 years ago, the review was just never publicly displayed before!

Everything is always very tasty and of good quality. However, I have to note a small minus: many guests come to the restaurant, but the service is simply overwhelmed. She works “hard”, but there are simply too many guests. Otherwise, 5 stars for the service.

The salads offered are not part of the selected dishes and must be paid for separately. The Lillet Wild Berry, served with fresh fruit, is highly recommended.

I've been coming to this place for 31 years. Since the new owners of this restaurant I don't like it at all anymore. The previous owners really didn't pay attention to the quality of the food. There is also the strange manner of service, which also becomes cheeky when you have something to complain about. My wife had an actually delicious dish that was served with bread dumplings. These were cold inside and still raw. When I complained about the quality of the dumplings, they said it had to be that way. As I said, I've known the food there for so many years and have never received such a stupid answer because I learned to make bread dumplings myself. If you would like good food, it might be better to go to the Restaurant zur Molle, the Jägerstüberl (the best for me) or the Dorfbrunnen in Untergrainau. Never been disappointed in these restaurants. You might want to question why Escher Restaurant is always empty. I could have written something worse, but I still have respect. It's a shame about such a good restaurant and what has become of it...

Soup with semolina dumplings is not recommended, the dumplings have a strange aftertaste Yugoslavian dishes are delicious and the portions are very large, you will definitely be full :-) Service is relatively quick and the lady is very friendly and does her work with a lot of passion What's not good: you can't pay with a card there and there's no sign of it outside! So after eating you have to walk through the town and look for a bench :-( There would also be veggie food.

We were on a bike tour and came here hungry. Food was very good. I think the waitress was the owner and was really on point and funny 👍 If the opportunity arises again, we would be happy to come back.

My meal itself was quite well prepared. Unfortunately, the service staff was a bit harsh and criticized and rated our choice of food. On top of that, my wife's food wasn't particularly well prepared. The meat loaf and fried potatoes weren't fried properly and didn't last long in the pan in my opinion. The fried onions were also cut very large. Overall, I wouldn't eat there again because I was hoping for more and wasn't treated as a guest as I would like.

The two of us spontaneously had dinner here. The service was really very friendly and the food was very tasty. Really recommended. Thank you for that

So herzlich und willkommen, so menschlich und unglaublich freundlich wurden wir hier empfangen, dass wir 2x einkehrten. Einmal einzig für die Nachspeise. Die Inhaberin ist eine Seele von Mensch. Neckisch, lustig und unglaublich herzlich. Der Bus hält direkt vor der Tür, sodass auch mal ein Schlückchen getrunken werden kann. Die Speisen sind sehr gut und reichhaltig. Die Karte vielfältig, aber nicht überladen. In der Hochsaison ist die Reservierung der Tische empfehlenswert. In der Nebensaison solltet ihr euch über Betriebsferien informieren. Schön wären mehr Speisen aus ihrer Heimat und die dazu passende Musik. Der Mangel an Personal, welcher unweigerlich vorhanden ist, überträgt sich nicht auf die Gäste. Ein lockeres Gespräch und Gemütlichkeit sind hier zu Hause! P.S.: Probiert die Pfannkuchen mit Haselnüssen 😉

Wir sind während einer Wanderung eher zufällig hier gelandet. Und es war genau richtig. Eine ganz liebe und aufmerksame Bedienung, sehr gutes Essen und ein toller Ausblick, wenn man auf der Terrasse sitzt. Zu empfehlen sind auf jeden Fall die Marillenknödel. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

The restaurant is small but the food is genuine and you also have the food options translated in English as well which is a bonus in this area. Staff were very helpful as well.

Wir waren während unseres Urlaubs in Grainau mehrere Male im Bosna essen. Das Essen war jedes Mal sehr lecker und würde sehr schnell serviert. Besonders nach längeren Wandertouren sind wir immer gern direkt im Anschluss hierher gekommen und haben uns heimisch wohl gefühlt. Ein riesiges Lob an Susi, die als einzige Servicekraft vollen Einsatz zeigt und jeden Tag mit soviel Wärme und Herzlichkeit alle Gäste versorgt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen im nächsten Urlaub gern wieder.

Bayrische und Balkan Küche. Hat super geschmeckt. Empfehlenswert

Wir sind schon seit Jahren zum Zwischenstopp auf der Heimreise vom Urlaubort hier Mittagessen gewesen und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, aber die Preise (Cordon bleu und Pommes OHNE Salatteller 18,90€) sind unangemessen hoch. Einen Salatteller gab es beim letzten Mal zu fast jedem Gericht noch gratis dazu. Die vorgenommenen Preiserhöhungen liegen deutlich über der Inflationsrate. Wie hoch sind denn dann die Preise, wenn die Mehrwertsteuer für Speisen in der Gastronomie wieder auf 19% heraufgesetzt wird?

Wir waren abends relativ spät zu viert als Familie dort essen. Alle 4 Gerichte waren ordentliche Portionen und sehr sehr lecker. Wir hatten Cordon Bleu, Schnitzel Wiener Art, Schweinehaxe und Bosnische Pljeskavica. Die Preise sind für die Portionen angemessen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zu dem Ambiente kann ich nicht viel sagen, da wir uns bei beginnender Dämmerung direkt nach draußen gesetzt haben und die Räumlichkeiten von innen gar nicht angeguckt haben. Was wir außen gesehen haben, macht einen vernünftigen Eindruck. Alles in allem kann ich das Bosna Restaurant bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen.

Seit mehreren Jahren kommen wir sehr regelmäßig hierher. Der Service ist unendlich freundlich, das Essen immer lecker und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Egal ob Große oder Kleine Gäste wie bei uns, für jeden ist etwas dabei. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die herzliche Susi! Wir freuen uns auf jeden Besuch 😊

I felt bad because none of our group spoke any German, but (with much help from Google translate as well) our server was incredibly kind and patient with all of us. The food was very good and came out quite quickly. Reasonably priced and exactly what we were looking for for German food (the pancakes are crepes, just a heads up). it's such a quaint and homely atmosphere 😊 would recommend for anyone passing by this area!

Kurz und knapp, super leckeres Essen, faire Preise. Angenehmes Ambiente - draußen und rund um zufriedener Service. Können wir nur weiter empfehlen.

Ich wurde von dem auf einer Tafel vor dem Lokal angepriesen Schweinsbraten angelockt. Diesen bestellte ich auch gleichzeitig mit meinem Getränk, leider wurde mir erst bei der Lieferung des Getränks mitgeteilt, dass der Braten ausverkauft sei. Ich habe dann notgedrungen einen jugoslawischen Teller bestellt und extra darum gebeten, diesen ohne rote Zwiebeln zu bekommen. Nach längerer Wartezeit – für das gesamte Lokal ist nur eine Bedienung vorhanden – wurde mein Essen dann geliefert. Trotz meines ausdrücklichen Wunsces mit roten Zwiebeln, zudem nur lauwarm. Die Portionsgröße war immerhin in Ordnung, der Geschmack aber auch nichts besonderes. Ich würde dieses Lokal nicht noch mal aufsuchen.

Also erst einmal muss man den herzlichen Service und die urige Terrasse hervorheben und dann unbedingt die frisch zubereiteten Speisen. Es dauert etwas aber dafür kommt es eben nicht aus dem Tiefkühler. Wirklich solide, gute Küche. Wir kommen wieder!

Bosna is een restaurant in Grainau met Balkan roots. De kaart is uitgebreid met o.m. prima vlees gerechten. Bediening is vriendelijk en belangstellend. Zeker als je er vaker eet.

Trotz voller Tische relativ zügig bedient worden und das Essen war gewohnt gut. Bieten auch bayrische Gerichte an, welche ich aber nicht beurteilen kann. Wer den „guten“ alten Jugo mag, ist dort immer richtig

20 Minuten gewartet bis jemand "Guten Tag" gesagt hat. Nach weiteren 20 Minuten hat jemand die Bestellung aufgenommen. Die Tische waren unsauber. Sie wurden auch nicht gereinigt. Nach 1 Stunde kam eher lauwarmes Essen, Käsespätzle, die geschmacklich aber okay waren. Auf das Bezahlen musste trotz mehrerer Aufforderungen wieder laaaaaangeeee gewartet werden. Leider nicht wirklich zu empfehlen. Insgesamt 1,5 Stunden vergeudete Zeit für mangelhaften Service.

Wir waren zum ersten mal dieses Jahr zu Mittag da und wir wurden positiv überrascht. Das Essen war frisch zubereitet und dauerte daher etwas länger, was wir als positiv empfanden, zudem waren die Teller mal nicht wie in Grainau üblich mit Salat und Tomate graniert. Kann man empfehlen und wir gehen sicher nochmal dort essen

Wir sind heute hier gelandet, weil das Restaurant, welches wir eigentlich geplant hatten, keinen Platz mehr hatte. Das Schicksal hat es gut mit uns gemeint. Wir waren absolut begeistert vom Essen und hatten einen traumhaften Blick auf die Berge. Absolut empfehlenswertes Restaurant. Einfach, aber sehr lecker.

Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar. Wir hatten ein Holzfällersteak mit Röstzwiebeln und gegrillte Haxe mit Klöße. Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war sehr nett.. Ohne Reservierung haben wir einen Platz für zwei Personen bekommen

We have walked 5 miles and needed some lunch. Good service! Good food! Nothing to complain about. I tried the Yugoslavian plate and it hit the spot. My husband had the schnitzel and he said he said it was good! All in all a great spot for an easy no fuss lunch! We sat outside and enjoyed seeing happy cows grazing in the fields listening to their bells.

Efficient and friendly no frills service. The place has a lot of character, with antlers and stuffed animals as part of the decoration. Place served us when all the other restaurants were closed. My Wiener Schnitzel was excellent. Not fine dining, but good honest meal I can recommend.

War im november da. Viele lokale hatten gar nicht erst offen oder nur Abends/ Wochenende, dieses Lokal hat durchgehend offen. Leckere und authentische Küche. Super Bedienung.

Das Essen war mit einem Imbissessen zu vergleichen. Die Sanitären Anlagen sollten dringend einmal saniert werden. Man hat das Gefühl, dort hat sich seit den 80ern nichts mehr getan. Trotzdem ist das Personal nett gewesen.
