Secret Cuts in Paderborn

A really great place, very modern, very chic, and they value good quality. Not just with the furniture but also with the food. The taste of the food was really great. Personally, I found the secret cuts a bit overpriced. But the taste was really very good. Garness was also hit, with all 7 people at the table. Of course, the lava grill helps with meat. But still there is nothing to complain about. The vegetables were well seasoned and still crunchy, so you could tell they were fresh. The mushrooms were also delicious, but unfortunately the gratin had a slight taste of Hollandaise or similar ready-made sauce. But that was overlooked given the other qualities. Basil on the fries was a bit questionable. Not everyone at the table liked it. What was unfortunately noticed TOTALLY negatively, even as soon as you walked in, was the service. I have rarely, if ever, seen such poor, ignorant, disinterested service in this form. We came in, there was no greeting, we were ignored. We then sat down at the only free table where the number of people seemed to fit. One person spontaneously agreed to add an additional chair, although the space finally allowed it. It was probably extremely difficult and had to be commented on first that it would be absolutely difficult. When the 7th person joined us, we had to ask about the chair twice more before we responded. There were 4 people walking around in service, with one woman walking around the restaurant with a tablet in her hand the whole time. Drinks were sometimes brought the wrong way and were not canceled but simply placed on the table. True to the motto “the bottle is now open, it’s now yours” The food was served at the same time, but the service staff no longer knew what kind of piece it was or what kind it was. So there seems to be no or poor communication here. When our two bottles of wine arrived, the first glass was poured, but the cooler was taken away and placed near the counter. Our glasses were all empty, so instead of asking if we wanted something more to drink, we had to get up and get the bottles ourselves. In the entire time from 7:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. we weren't even given drinks or given them or even asked for. The main thing is that the woman with the tablet walks around the area in absolutely no sense and checks on her employees, who from the outside were completely overwhelmed with the number of guests of 30-35 people. She invented passive work. Unfortunately, that's how she came across from the start. I don't want to shame anyone personally, but that person should question whether they are really cut out for this job. She came across as arrogant, disinterested, and was extremely inflexible in her way of serving the guest optimally. Thanks - food was good, service was bad, maybe it was just a snapshot. I would give the store one last chance.

Spontaneously got a spot on Saturday evening. First of all, you have to say that the service staff will certainly still be there because everything is new. The card really appealed to us. Tapas and pasta are either vegetarian with fish or with meat, among other things. Steaks Enterecote Filet Rumpsteak or rump steak as well as a selection of daily specials. You also order side dishes The starters were too small for the price. The main course was great in terms of quantity The meat and the noodles were really excellent. The furnishings are stylish and very modern. We look forward to another visit

Unfortunately, it's a run-of-the-mill card that's just as boringly implemented. The ambience is quite appealing, but that's not why you go out to eat. Too bad!

A very nice restaurant steak house, we have already been here twice. Food very tasty and plentiful, side dishes and starters also recommended.

Went to Secret Cuts for lunch and were really impressed. The price-performance ratio is right, our service was attentive and friendly and the ambience is stylish. We will definitely come back.

I went to Secret Cuts for the first time today. Perfect from the service to the food. The steak was exactly as I ordered. 1A. Today's visit wasn't the last! Very happy again!

Unfortunately, “once and never again” sums it up best. Waiting time: 45 minutes to order. Service seemed overwhelmed and tense. Starter: delicious Main course steak: Better in every steakhouse. 2 of 3 fillet pieces still had a tendon. The rump steak was 0815. The meat was not a highlight in terms of taste. You can take the smell of smoke home with you through the cloakroom next to the kitchen ;-) Conclusion: The price-performance ratio is not right here and overall very disappointing. PS: The ambience is good, only the plastic flowers don't fit.

* The food is good, but highly adjusted to today's prices. Sometimes there is a meat presentation, like in a real steakhouse👍, sometimes not, which is a shame. * The service is below the level of unskilled staff, except for one employee who is on her toes. ~ should I change or polish the cutlery?? , what's on the empty starter plate... maybe you have to take a knife and fork from home if you go out to eat for over €100? * The ambience in the front room is ok, even if the super small tables are not designed for water, wine and bread with the main course, as you either put something on the floor or eat from your lap...

Not recommended at all. I can't understand the positive reviews. Very overpriced. I'm happy to pay more for good quality. However, this is not present here. Meat is not good and the cooking process is not mastered here. The cloakroom is right next to the kitchen and is therefore immediately available for laundry. Very cold and carelessly furnished. It's a real shame that no effort is made in such a city center location. Once and never again.

We had a wonderful evening, in a wonderful atmosphere, great service and of course very tasty food. Everything was on point! The prices are more than justified considering the quality offered. We would have paid the same in any other steakhouse in Paderborn. We would like to come again!

Wow! Service was more than polite, I haven't experienced such good service in a long time. The Entricot was exactly how I wanted it, perfect really. I can only recommend !

Because of the good reviews, we thought we had found a new, great restaurant. The atmosphere itself is really nice and modern. But unfortunately that's not everything. The service was friendly, but unfortunately not particularly attentive, quick and unsafe. The steak was okay, but unfortunately not on point as ordered. (Ordered medium rare and it was almost done) After we reported the “defects”, the waitress came back with an apology from the boss. Unfortunately this is a no-go for us, as we have a different understanding of service and customer orientation. A pity.

The steak tasted good, the service was very friendly and the location seemed modern and new. Unfortunately, the light in the toilet didn't turn on properly during my visit, but I'm confident that this will be fixed during the ongoing construction work. Thanks for the visit, gladly again

Just a dream! I can only recommend it to everyone. The food was incredibly good (spaghetti with beef strips) and also very generous in quantity. The service was very nice and really attentive and the ambience and decor were beautiful too! Price performance is really top. Finally good food in PB ☺️ We will come back in any case!

Just wow! Finally a steak restaurant with a conscience... By far the best steak restaurant in the Paderborn district. Excellent quality. The food, service and ambience are just great. My rump steak was exactly medium as requested... What's good certainly costs more. But that is justified here. Gladly again!

Been there 2nd time. Rump steak with onions and fried eggs, with a portion of fries and a delicious wine. There's really nothing to criticize. Service, ambience and staff, simply unbeatable. Recommended for everyone. Price/performance is also top. The portions are enough to fill you up. Madam, see you next time. Definitely recommended.

The food is super delicious, especially the steaks. The price is reasonable for the quality offered. The service is super friendly and in the open kitchen the chef showed us the meat and explained a bit about the quality. The ambience is also pleasant. There is only one craft beer from PB "Hafenviertel Helles", which is not for everyone. I would like to see another alternative. We will definitely come back.

We went there with no expectations and were really impressed! The meat was first class! Both the pasta with fillet tips and the mix grill plate were well prepared, well portioned and really tasty! I haven't eaten such good meat in a long time!! The open kitchen does the concept much justice. You can look at the grill and talk to the chef about the steaks. Great!!! The service was really good too! Praise and absolute recommendation! We'll definitely come back again :-)

Very pleasant restaurant with a nice atmosphere. You can tell that it is still new and that the decoration details and sometimes the team's well-coordinated spirit are not yet perfect, but this is compensated for by friendliness. The food is high quality but not overpriced. The steak is perfectly prepared and the fish is also highly recommended. A nice addition to the Paderborn restaurant scene. After seven years in Berlin, I would like to say that Secret Cuts doesn't have to be afraid of competition from the capital. So it's also a destination that you can visit with guests from out of town.

We had a very nice Valentine's Day dinner! The restaurant was lovingly decorated for the occasion and you were welcomed with sparkling wine. The tapas were very tasty and the meat was perfect! We would come back at any time!

I love the chef - how good can meat taste?! It was my second time there, the first time was fillet steak with mushrooms (a dream) and today it was pasta... if the way to the heart really goes through the stomach, then I have to give the chef my number... :D I think the prices are good too, not like that Exaggerated like a gaucho or something, and you get more for your money... I'll be back! :)

The Secret Cut is definitely worth a visit. We already have several steakhouses in Paderborn, but I've had the best steak here so far. The furnishings are also very chic and stylish. And the prices are justified for what you get. Price/performance definitely fits. I can highly recommend it.

There were 5 of us eating there and we were really happy based on the reviews. The ambience was great, unfortunately the service was anything but satisfactory. We had to wait 1 hour for a bottle of wine, despite repeated requests, the steak arrived after about 1:45 hours and was unfortunately cold. However, the ambience and the friendly aura of the employees are positive. I hope that the rest will improve on my next visit, because then we will have a real enrichment for Paderborn's gastronomy.

A nice selection of dishes - both tapas and steak to put together yourself as well as tapas variations and pre-prepared dish suggestions (steak + side dish) Very nice atmosphere, you immediately feel at home. When it comes to service, you notice that they still have to get used to the work processes and technology, but the friendly nature of the service staff made up for it 😊 I will gladly come again!
