Kyoto in Paderborn

Meiner Meinung nach, kann man hier das beste Sushi aus ganz Paderborn und Umgebung essen. Da ich kein Freund von frittierten Sushi Rollen oder zu ausgefallenen Kreationen, kann ich dazu nichts sagen. Aber egal ob maki oder nigiri, ich behaupte, dass man da alles bedenkenlos bestellen kann und es wird einem auch schmecken.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und die Bedienung aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Wir waren begeistert!

Eigentlich schreibe ich keine Rezensionen, aber das Kyoto hat uns trotz spontaner kurzfristiger Reservierung begeistert. Hervorragendes Sushi und ein bemerkenswert aufmerksamer Service den man nur noch selten erleb, haben uns begeistert. Großes Lob an das ganze Team

Kleines aber feines Sushi Restaurant. Die Gerichte waren sehr lecker, die Portionen groß und der Preis wirklich fair. Die Mitarbeiter waren auch dehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gern wieder :)

Ich wurde durch ein TikTok auf das Restaurant aufmerksam. Und muss sagen bin echt enttäuscht. Die Qualität des Sushis war leider nicht wie erwartet, hatte tatsächlich Supermarkt Niveau. Geschmacklich und qualitativ auf jeden Fall Luft nach oben. Auch meine Freundin war der selben Meinung, das Preis Leistung nicht übereinstimmen mit Getränk lagen wir bei 45€ an sich ein guter Preis aber dadurch das es geschmacklich nicht gut war sehr teuer. Vom Service her super freundlich der Kellner meinte es gäbe ein Gleis Pflaumen Wein dafür das wir zu lange gewartet haben unser empfinden war eher es ging super schnell.

Sehr leckeres Sushi und besonders aufmerksames, freundliches Personal. Kommen gern wieder und probieren erneut etwas Neues!

Die aller beste Sushi-Bar, welche in Paderborn existiert.. Wenn man eine entspannte und wunderschön künstlerisch gestaltete Atmosphäre schätzt, sollte man diesen entspannten Ort auf jeden Fall besuchen. Das Essen ist ein unvergessliches, kulinarisches Erlebnis, bei diesem zusätzlich wohltuende Musik im Hingergrund spielt und die Bedienung sehr freundlich serviert.

Fabelhaftes Sushi! Sehr zu empfehlen!

Ich war mit meiner Freundin in der Kyoto Sushi Bar und kann den Laden wirklich nur empfehlen. Wir haben zusammen etwa 50 Euro ausgegeben und es war jeden Cent wert. Auch wenn ich die genauen Namen der Gerichte nicht mehr weiß – sie sind nun mal ziemlich exotisch –, war alles, was wir bestellt haben, absolut top. Das Crispy Sushi war hervorragend und perfekt gerollt. Als Vorspeise hatten wir eine Art Chicken Wings, die unglaublich lecker waren. Auch die Sojasoße hat mich geschmacklich voll überzeugt. Man merkt einfach, dass hier Wert auf Qualität gelegt wird. Besonders cool fand ich das Gespräch mit dem Sushi-Koch. Er hat mir erzählt, dass sein Kollege direkt aus Japan kommt und dort das Handwerk richtig gelernt hat – und so schmeckt es auch. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm familiär: Die Dame, die dort arbeitet, ist superlieb, und auch die Bedienung am Tisch war total freundlich. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Preis-Leistung ist hier wirklich hervorragend. Der Schnaps, den es am Ende gibt, war richtig lecker – sogar meine Freundin, die normalerweise keinen Alkohol trinkt, fand ihn gut. Ich selbst habe mir gleich noch einen zweiten gegönnt. Auch die Limonaden waren sehr lecker. Ich bin mittlerweile das zweite Mal dort gewesen und schwärme immer noch davon. Für mich ist es auch eine perfekte Date-Idee. Um es mir nicht „kaputtzugehen“, gehe ich nicht zu oft hin – aber so ein Besuch alle paar Monate lohnt sich definitiv. Absolute Empfehlung für alle, die Sushi lieben oder einfach einen gemütlichen, leckeren Abend verbringen wollen!

Wir waren gestern Abend zu 4. bei Kyoto essen. Das Essen war wie immer sehr sehr gut. Leider waren die beiden Damen in der Bedienung alles andere als kundenfreundlich. Vor allem die jüngere Dame hat des Öfteren im Laden ihre Augen verdreht. Auf Nachfrage, ob wir Besteck haben können anstelle der Stäbchen, wurde das Besteck auch lieblos und kommentarlos auf den Tisch gelegt. Sehr schade, da wir wirklich das Essen super finden. Aber bei der jungen Dame gestern haben wir uns alles andere als wohl gefühlt- schade.

Wir kommen immer aus Gütersloh, wir lieben es und wir freuen uns immer riesig auf ein Treffen bei euch! Unsere Tradition geworden. Danke für das beste Sushi, dass wir essen durften ♥️🥰😍

Bestes Sushi in der ganzen Umgebung. Hervorragende Auswahl auf der Karte und sehr unterschiedliche und schöne Anrichtung der Gerichte. Ich kann euch empfehlen, euch quer durch die Karte zu testen und nichts zu verpassen!

Sehr gutes Sushi, aber über eine Stunde Wartezeit, obwohl durchgehend Essen für Abholer über die Theke geht. Man fühlt sich verschaukelt.

We waited an hour for the food, and to top it all off, we were told we'd have to wait. If they'd told us beforehand, it would have been okay. So, an absolute no-go! Never again! The food was returned.

A very stylish sushi restaurant with an authentic atmosphere and fair prices. The selection is extensive, and the rolls are of excellent quality, freshly prepared, and delicious. The service and atmosphere are friendly, although service sometimes takes longer when the place is full – but the food is really good. I'd be happy to come back!

Today was our third visit to Kyoto. We noticed the unfriendly service on our last visit. Today, the woman in question was there again and just as unfriendly as before. When we placed our order, she asked if we really wanted to order so much – not in a neutral tone or with a hint that it might be too much for the two of us, but in such an unfriendly, almost accusatory tone. She went to her colleague at the counter, which is open and therefore allows for the conversations of the employees to take part, and said (also accusatory) to her colleague who was supposed to prepare our sushi how much we had ordered for the two of us and that she had asked twice whether we really wanted to order so much (she had only asked us once, by the way). When she brought our drinks to our table and my friend wanted to pour himself some bottled water, the water overflowed. It can happen! When the waitress came back to our table, my friend asked her to bring us more napkins. She then simply commented, "We've been here less than two minutes and it's already chaos." ...that's not acceptable! When we wanted to pay and have our food packed up (it wasn't actually too much, the maki were tough - we wanted to try something different to our regular order. The fried sushi is always delicious, which is why we've been there several times), we had "respect" for the waitress, as she had also given us a reproachful look the last time and said, "Too bad," in a bitter tone. We don't think it should be like that! Sure, everyone has a bad day sometimes, but at work you have to leave your private life aside, and you certainly don't have to let it out on customers. The well-known saying, "The customer is king," doesn't apply here. We won't be coming back, and we'll remember this restaurant with a bitter aftertaste and a feeling of oppression.

The sushi is not only fresh and lovingly prepared, but also tastes absolutely top-notch – you can immediately taste the quality of the ingredients. I also particularly like the diverse selection; there's something for everyone. What really makes the shop special, though, is the staff: super friendly, attentive, and warm. You immediately feel welcome. The atmosphere is modern, cozy, and invites you to linger – perfect for a relaxed dinner or a meeting with friends. I've rarely eaten such good sushi! Amazing.

This was our first time at Kyoto and we were absolutely thrilled! The sushi was incredibly delicious – fresh, beautifully presented, and simply delicious. You can tell that quality is a top priority here. The decor was truly beautiful and done with attention to detail – Japanese flair with cool table art, traditional decorative elements, and a cozy atmosphere. You immediately feel at home. The service was also excellent: the server was very friendly and attentive. Overall, a really good visit – we'll definitely be back!

There were no seats in the middle of the establishment. We sat outside. So I can't say anything about the atmosphere. We waited for our order for about 30 minutes. We really liked the food. I recommend it.

We came spontaneously without a reservation, were warmly welcomed and given a table for an hour. The food came in a timely manner to make everything stress-free, the food was really tasty and beautifully prepared! The service was very nice!

The meal took far too long. The atmosphere wasn't right, especially the music in the background - more disturbing than relaxing. The service seemed clumsy: after each course we were asked again whether it was tasty, which was more unpleasant than attentive. The portions were quite small for the price, but the taste was okay. Unfortunately, it is with a heavy heart that I have to give out one star. Was there yesterday and a chain of mistakes and unpleasant events followed one another. The main points of criticism are 1. Prices are much higher afterwards at the checkout than on the menu. Then there is an attempt to disguise it, so there is little transparency. You should be allowed to check the bill at the table first 2. Something is promised that is later not kept. For example, I had an appointment but something was wrong with the planning so we couldn't eat until an hour later. 3. We said no fried sushi... he brings fried ones. People don't listen and force something with higher prices to generate sales. Simply being more responsive to the customer would be better. I think it was the last time there. Has little to do with the city of Kyoto, where I actually was.

Delicious sushi, prepared quickly and good service. The only thing that wasn't to my taste was the sweet soy sauce that was available on site.

Yesterday we were there for the first time because the waiter was very nice and accommodating, but the older lady was very overwhelmed. The normal makis were very tasty, the fried ones were also tasty in themselves, but they tasted a lot like frying oil. Maybe change the oil more often then it will be 5/5.

I recently tried sushi here, and while it was okay, the taste was a bit different from the authentic Japanese flavor I’m used to. Personally, I prefer the sushi back in Thailand—they do an excellent job with the flavors and freshness there. Still, it’s a decent option if you’re looking for sushi in the area.

Staff was very cheeky! I was there with my boyfriend twice, and both times were bad! Once the waitress didn't let us sit together, and second time we were there at 9 o'clock in the evening, an hour before closing, and even though there weren't that many people there and no reservations or few tables, they kicked us out. I can understand that people could have a bad day, but not always! Never again!

We actually really liked and enjoyed it so far. Today, however, half of our order was forgotten, we were served things that we actually denied and too much money was deducted. When confronted, we were told that it had been noticed, but no one told us. We also found the quality of the Suhsis not sufficient for the price and our budget limit that we specified was also significantly exceeded. Very unfortunate

We arrived extra early (2 hours to spare) to go further to the pub quiz. It's been over two hours now and we only have 3 starters for 6 people and the pub quiz has already started. So it's really underground, you can't just take on too many customers and then not be able to keep up. Very poor planning, we will never visit again. Then you get rudely complained that you were informed that it would take longer. But it just didn't happen. Thanks for nothing! Food cannot be rated, it is still taking time. Update: Food arrived after 2.5 hours and was probably good, but after that time everything had a bitter aftertaste.

Essen war vom Geschmack ok Aber die Wartezeit war übertrieben lang. 1,5 Stunden für ein Teller sushi warten ist nicht ok. Werde den Laden nicht weiterempfehlen.

This “small” but very, very fine sushi bar was our destination in Paderborn yesterday afternoon and what can I say? It was simply outstanding! Really delicious and well prepared sushi! The young lady behind the counter knows her stuff and explained a few things when asked. We had a wonderful meal and despite not having made a reservation, we were able to comfortably enjoy these wonderful little works of art with two people on a Sunday afternoon from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Only, a small deduction in the service: because the older lady could probably work on her tone of voice when dealing with customers, otherwise full marks! If I ever come to Paderborn again, I'll eat sushi here ;)

From the ambience to the food, everything was great. The service was friendly and everything was accompanied by nice, calm music. For the price it is absolutely recommended.

Foods are delicious but service and staff attitude are worse than anywhere else

The food was delicious, but the service was the worst one i had in germany so far. The lady with white hair was very rude to us. We ordered three sushi rolls, it came in 40 minutes, and most of the tables that ordered after us received their food before. The people that ordered for takeaway also got their food before. It is no problem to wait, but as soon as i asked the lady for where the food is, she started to rudely talk instead of saying it is coming or it will be there in x minutes. She just started to explain that the food is freshly made(which i can understand and it is done so in most of the sushi restaurants).

Small and stuffy! I waited an hour until someone brought the menu. Then another one until my order was taken, I alerted several waiters, none of them were interested, I then got up and the one waitress followed me at the door. Wait 2 hours for my order to be taken? And then 2 more until I can eat something? Just let . In addition, it is really very small, all the smells from the kitchen come into the restaurant because it is connected to a door where everyone goes in and out. = Permanent smell! No windows!

The food tastes good, but that's the only thing. You can absolutely kick the service down, call and order 45 minutes in advance. Then on site the statement “we have not received an order”. Phone number checked again, order numbers were also correct, they just couldn't get it together. I'm extremely disappointed.

Nice and you can eat really well there! Everything fresh and super tasty! What we're just annoyed about is that the operator can't read a calendar! Kyoto Sushi is without a doubt the jewel of Japanese cuisine in our city. From the elegant presentation to the exquisite quality of the food, this restaurant made every visit an unforgettable experience. The fresh ingredients and masterful preparation of each dish are a real treat for the senses. The staff is always friendly and attentive, which makes the visit even more pleasant. Overall, I can fully recommend Kyoto Sushi and am already looking forward to my next visit!

I was there yesterday with friends and, as always, the food was excellent. Unfortunately the service was non-existent. We were served with the bare essentials: cards for drinks and food orders as well as the reception of drinks and food. With a stay of over 1 1/2 hours, it would have been very desirable to ask whether everything was OK or whether we would like something else between and when bringing the food and paying. Unfortunately this was not the case! It's a shame for a small restaurant where there are only 8 tables very close together. We had the feeling that we hadn't been noticed, because when we asked whether we could have the rest of the food packed up, a long time passed before this happened, for which the waiter at least apologized. We probably won't eat there anymore.

Too small and uncomfortable. Tables are too close together. The door is constantly opening and closing as many people order take-out (and given the time of year, it drafts like crazy when you're sitting on the aisle). The map has no description. You don't know what's behind the names. A number of spring rolls, for example, wouldn't be a bad idea either. We waited almost an hour for food. Sushi was OK, but nothing more.

It was absolutely perfect, good price, good food, good service i could really recommend.

I was happy to be here as a guest and arrived 10 minutes before the food was ready. And was asked to leave the store immediately and wait outside even though it was only 4:50 p.m. and the store was still empty and with my very pregnant wife. Friendly service is definitely something different, it's about the older service person, apparently she hasn't experienced being a host. The others sincerely apologized and tried to straighten it out. It's a shame, I really enjoyed being there.

We had reserved a table for two for 7 p.m. this evening and were there at 6:35 p.m. We were sent away again and asked not to come back until 7 p.m. sharp. When we arrived back at the restaurant, our table was still occupied and we had to wait outside in the rain for another 10 minutes. Then we left without dinner. Why do I actually make a reservation?

Meine erste Sushi Erfahrung hatte ich bei Freunden mit Sushi aus dieser Sushi Bar gemacht, da hab ich mich vorsichtig rangetastet an kleine vegetarische Nori Maki, wir haben zu Hause gegessen. Dieses Mal vor Ort konnten wir uns zu zweit schlecht entscheiden und es ist etwas zu viel geworden, aber dafür gibt es ja die Möglichkeit, es mitzunehmen. Es war alles mega lecker, schön präsentiert, natürlich noch schöner, als wenn man es abholt. Und die Frittierte Katsurolle mit Lachs war geschmacklich für mich der Oberknaller. Alle top vom Essen! Sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite Bedienung, gute Beratung, wenn man sich noch nicht so mit Sushi auskennt. Wir waren früh da, das war auch gut, als es voller wurde, ist ja nunmal eine Sushi Bar, nicht riesig, wurde es etwas unruhiger, die Tische sind nicht so groß und der Platz zwischen den einzelnen auch nicht, deswegen bei Ambiente einen Punkt Abzug. Preislich lagen wir etwas höher als gedacht, aber dafür haben wir noch eine gute Portion für den nächsten Tag😅 Sehr zu empfehlen, wir kommen wieder!

Das Essen ist dementsprechend okay dennoch was mich erschüttert ist eine ältere blondhaarige Kellnerin die ziemlich unsympathisch bzw. sehr frech ist, so als ob sie keine Kunden annehmen möchte!

Leider hat die Qualität des Sushis und vor allem des Services stark nachgelassen. Auf eine ehrliche und konstruktive Rückmeldung wie das Sushi geschmeckt hat, reagiert die ältere Dame im Service sehr patzig und möchte eigentlich nicht wirklich wissen, was die Kunden denken und schmecken.

Aufgrund der Bewertungen hab wir wirklich mehr erwartet… Sushi war ok, etwas langweilig im Geschmack & Auswahl… Verpackung zum abholen billige Plastikschalen / Alufolie. In Schulnoten definitiv nicht mehr als Befriedigend mit deutlich Luft nach oben.

Es ist einfach das BESTE Sushi, dass ich je gegessen habe. Einfach himmlisch. Guter, freundlicher Service. Ist und bleibt mein Restaurant der Wahl. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
