Schweinske Stadtpark in Hamburg

Unbeatable for the price! Food was very good, service was good too, only a few other guests were a bit stressful. We sat near the children's corner and the children there fought with the toys and sometimes shouted, and absolutely no reaction from the parents... it's always amazing how little it bothers some parents when their children annoy half the restaurant, but oh well. Apart from that, everything was great and the price-performance ratio was great.

Despite the renovation work, we ate well again👍

In a restaurant that mainly orders and serves schnitzel, I simply expect more. For good reason, schnitzel is usually made in a pan and not in the deep fryer, as is unfortunately the case here. The edges of the schnitzels become too dry in the deep fryer. Breading is absolutely cheap, it has nothing to do with an egg flour breadcrumb breading. Also hardly seasoned. Standard fries, fried potatoes just greased. Plus points: Kinder Schnitzel for €5 is an extremely nice price, large selection with many vegan alternatives and homemade bread before ordering was delicious. The service was average. Not particularly attentive but not really unfriendly either.

Despite a busy main road in front of the door, the restaurant is cozy and you can eat well and tasty there. Unfortunately, the high prices reach everything, so Schweinske has also become quite expensive. The shop is still a recommendation, at least if you like schnitzel.

Expensive and not enough on the plate

Nice atmosphere and delicious food. Typically piggy. There could have been something left for the kids to paint. I know this from other branches. But we also found something to do :-) Otherwise, the staff was very nice, attentive and special requests were taken into account. The rolls with herb sauce were very good. Would love to come back.

Food was ok, but somehow I was missing that certain something. I can't say whether it was the pepper sauce that barely had any flavor or something else. The banh mi was surprisingly good

Saturday evening, food great, cocktails not recommended, the staff extremely overwhelmed and arguments among each other which you inevitably notice as a guest and don't feel like ordering anything else.

You get exactly what you expect, it's not high end but tasty. The service could be a little more attentive - but it was also busy.

From the outside the impression was a bit run down, but everything in the restaurant itself looked nice. All the dishes on the table were delicious and some were very good in terms of size. The hardest thing to judge is the service: quick, always friendly reception of us and then the drinks. But then a while began to wait and we were only able to order food when we asked; the drinks we ordered took a while longer. After that everything went well again. No matter how you twist and turn it, we end up with four stars overall.

Great traditional homemade German food. Starts with fresh baked house bread and house beer 🍺. Various freshly prepared variety of schnitzel.

Alea looked delicious, beautifully prepared and the staff were very friendly. Addition after our second visit. The service staff and the kitchen team were super friendly, we joked around with our little son and the food was great again.

Out for a walk and Google suggested this place for food. Google, you knocked it out of the park! Food was fantastic, staff friendly and the ambience cosy. Portions are very generous, we had the Grünkohl and highly recommend it (the Kaiserschmarrn too 😏)

Unfortunately the music in the room opposite the entrance was really loud. When asked whether it could be turned down a little, the answer was no. This is music (there was only this table above the music box) which is really unpleasant, especially since the guests then start talking louder. Unfortunately, a relaxing, cozy evening was not possible. I would have thought it would have been great if the waitress had responded to this. The food was absolutely ok. The price-performance ratio was right. The Schweinske is not unknown in Hamburg either. Conclusion: Maybe listen to the guest, because after all, they should feel comfortable and, ideally, come back...

We were here on a Sunday evening in November 2024. The atmosphere was exactly as always. At Schweinske you know what you're getting. The quality of the food is very good and the prices are absolutely reasonable. The service is nice and courteous, even if some are a bit slow or forgetful ;) The welcome bread is super delicious. We would love to come back. Price-performance is really great here and unfortunately it is difficult to find such a good ratio. See you next time!

A nice rustic restaurant! We reserved a table online, which wasn't really prepared, but one was available. It was fully booked and therefore the service staff were a bit tense. They have maintained their good mood and friendliness towards guests. Super! After a delicious, hearty meal and delicious house beer, we were able to start our evening program. Gladly again!

We came as a family to taste traditional German cuisine. . And we were well served. Two XXL shnitcels and a currywurst for 4, two small salads 🥗, Astra beers 🍺 and a UDO, another light one. Astra beer is the best for us. . Their poppy seed brioche bread is excellent. Served with a sauce just to wait for the dish. . A little ❤️ on the saucer of ☕️ warms the heart. . The atmosphere is family. The portions are generous. This is why schnitcel XXL at €17 is advantageous for two. . Our meal cost us 63 euros with tip, which is very reasonable. The restaurant is on the edge of the majestic park, I wish you an excellent stroll.

We love coming here for breakfast with our children - unfortunately the play area is not open in the morning as it is in another area of ​​the restaurant - but we definitely come by in the afternoon/evening. You can definitely get a really tasty breakfast here :D

This is how a schnitzel should be. Great shop. It was unusually full due to two concerts in the immediate vicinity. The service staff apologized for this, even though they didn't really need an apology. We'd love to come back.

Best beer battered schnitzel in town. Mega waitresses. When you come in, they let you arrive in peace, but then they keep an eye on you. Food fresh, tasty, good portion. I think €13.90 is a bit too cheap for this freshness.

Delicious schnitzel. Always changing specials. Service and prices ok in Niendorf. The best special ever was Backhandel with Spätzle. My insider tip are the fried potatoes.

This is the only pork shop I've been to where the rolls come with a delicious little dip. I always got a parking space on the street through the city park and got there in about 5 minutes.

Great local Germany restaurant on the brink of the Stadtpark. I had the veg bowl, which was hearty and filling. The portion was generous although I would have hoped the dishes had more sauce and veg/salad, as it mainly had chips. The service was prompt, and the staff were friendly. Expect to pay around €10-15. Overall the casual atmosphere and large portions make it a great choice for a relaxed meal. A nice touch is their fresh home-baked rolls which are served on arrival.

Food was OK so far, unfortunately there are no cocktails or happy hour. There was a lot going on in the store today because there was a concert in the sports hall. However, you shouldn't complain loudly about your colleagues. You don't do that in front of your customers. We waited 20 minutes before we could pay. After asking for the third time we wanted to leave. The waitress can't do mental math. So we had to figure it out ourselves later and settle it between ourselves (there were only two of us). The waitress had no interest in resolving the situation. We won't be coming back.

We were here today with a reserved table. We were greeted by a stressed, unfriendly waitress, the table wasn't wiped and we had to wait 35 minutes before we could place our order. After 55 minutes we finally got our drinks. There was also lint/lint hanging on the glass. Our mood continued to sink, the waitress walked around the restaurant stressed and caused a lot of unrest. If you can't handle stress, you should change jobs. But the food was good as usual.

Absolutely top service We were there with our hockey team and had pre-ordered 20 meals. There was already bread with dip on the tables and we had the food quicker than the drinks. Nice restaurant with good German and home-style cuisine. We were here after a visit to the planetarium and decided on a hamburger pulled pork and a farmer's breakfast. The portions were plentiful and delicious, especially since there was homemade bread with tartar sauce. Our service was super friendly and attentive. Price performance is absolutely right. Great address! We were passing through Hamburg, and we had two cheeseburgers and a grilled chicken burger. The burgers were really very good, very filling and very filling. The fries were really good too, well cooked. The prices were very reasonable for all that. It was excellent !

A good waitress asks whether 0.3l or 0.5l drink? If you're just looking for sales, don't ask and you'll always get the larger version. Like us. Only drank 1. Were eating there for the first time. It's simply a slightly better snack bar with seating, service and a larger menu. Empty salt shaker on the table. Wet at the next table! There were onions stuck to the bottom of the plate that we didn't have on our food.

The famous schweinske from Hamburg ....always delicious and a good atmosphere to start a day or end it in the evening with friends :)
