I had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant three times during my stay in Hamburg (November 14th, 15th and 17th) and all I can say is that it was an absolute highlight! The atmosphere is inviting and the service is super friendly and nice - you immediately feel at home. I tried a total of four dishes: the Currywurst König, the Elbsässer Schnitzel, the Schnitzel Barbecue and the Kaiserschmarrn. Every single dish was simply delicious and exceeded my expectations. A big thank you to the great employees.

I've known the restaurant for a long time and the staff is always super friendly and nice. That hasn't changed in all these years. The rooms and the menu have been revised, I like it. Still one of my first stops for breakfast in Hamburg.

We had dinner there and really enjoyed it. The team was attentive and friendly and we enjoyed it very much.

The food is okay and the price-performance ratio is okay. What I find very worrying, however, is the cleanliness. I often sit in the first row on the left, looking in from the patio door (at one of the three tables that is right by the window). This table is always stuck at lunchtime when I'm there. In the seats a few rows away you can see crumbs on the tables. I find not wiping the tables properly after a guest to be extremely unhygienic. I don't know if it's just these window tables that are "overlooked" because the middle and aisle tables usually don't stick. What also bothers me personally, but that's just a question of taste, are the two large monitors on which music videos are constantly playing. The music isn't the problem and the volume is fine, but the fact that the music videos are constantly playing annoys me.

Yes, just piggy. Service top. Location also nice. But... it was really worlds better with the schnitzel. Worlds... now the price pressure is probably too high. Any chip shop can do it better than these shaped meat things...brrr

A very good discovery and recommendation for us visitors to Hamburg. Discovered by chance and went in hungry. Nice staff, drinks came quickly, food also came relatively quickly and was very good. We had schnitzel and salad with nuggets. Both were very well prepared, the schnitzel was a schnitzel as it should be, well pounded, well breaded and fried - no freezer rubber. The salad was a nice mix, fresh, no brown or dried cuts, plentiful and the nuggets were simply wonderfully crispy and juicy. If the vinegar and oil bottles hadn't been so sticky and unpleasant, it would have been perfect. But that's really complaining at a high level. We sat outside and of course the loud street rushed past the table. The glass partition kept a lot of space out, and it's probably easier to sit in there. It looked cozier as I walked by. But it was terribly warm and we didn't want to sit in it and immediately sank down in the shade. There is their own beer in 2 types, which we were able to test for free before ordering and then order the preferred type. We were very happy about that and it is not something we take for granted these days. Thank you again for that. We will go again next time we visit Hamburg.

The Schweinske used to be a cheap restaurant where you could go with the whole family to eat. You knew what you were getting: The food was just schnitzel with ready-made sauce and convenience vegetables. Today they want to use their prices to convey that they are a middle class restaurant, and they simply are not. The food has more of a canteen feel, and they have simply become too expensive for that.

Reviews are important for a company. They serve to provide direct feedback from customers and thus provide the opportunity to optimize. We (7 people) went to Schweinske on our Hamburg weekend (August 24th). The recommendation from our friends: we had to eat here. The waitress (lady) was super friendly and took our order. The food was really delicious. I liked it. There was nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, at the end there was an unpleasant action from one of the employees. As the shop was closing, he came up to us drinking a drink to inform us that the shop was closing soon. So far so good. We paid and, since our waitress (lady) was really great, gave a generous tip. As we stood outside we were amused by the street name. The said employee asked what was going on. Whereupon we explained this to him. Instead of accepting this in a relaxed manner, there was just a cheeky statement, which I have never experienced before. We then just thanked them for the delicious food and moved on. In times when people are paying more attention to money, good service is even more important because they are the figurehead of the company and represent it. Unfortunately, the Schweinske company was not well presented at the end. However, express praise to our service. Based on my experience, I unfortunately have to rate the Schweinske accordingly.

Burgers and fries were delicious and fried potatoes with schnitzel were also delicious, except that I was a bit disappointed with the size of the XXL schnitzel!

Had dinner on Sunday evening and were served by a really lovely and polite young waitress! We really enjoyed it and the food was also very tasty. We can only recommend the great service.

No variables possible, i.e. no changes to the selected menu, e.g. Instead of breaded schnitzel, unbreaded Waited a long time for you service person. Has dropped significantly but the price is ok.

I always thought it was nice that there were alternatives to the new breakfast menu in this Schweinske. I don't like the new breakfast menu at all.

The restaurant is right around the corner from us, so we go there every now and then for an inexpensive lunch. There are two dishes to choose from until 2 p.m. Otherwise you can also order everything from the normal menu. There are all sorts of salads, schnitzels and much more.

The service was very friendly and the food came quickly. It's not a really good restaurant, but you can get something to fill you up for little money. Unfortunately, the music was a bit loud (and not particularly good). The red ale was very tasty and the Helbing was unfortunately not available. Unfortunately, when I ordered I wasn't served the coleslaw I ordered, but a normal salad. I didn't say anything, but I guess the salad would have been swapped out without any problem.

We ate very well here during our HH stay. The schnitzel with fries and coleslaw are highly recommended and were very tasty. We had a Paprika Schnitzel and an Alsatian Schnitzel. The portion was very good and filling. The house beer was also very tasty and nicely chilled. The service staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a small outdoor area that is right on the street, but we were able to sit and eat here very well when the weather was nice.

The food is a joke, far too little for the price. Almost cold and way too expensive. Won't be coming back, it's a shame for the Schweinske. At the steakhouse we get more and better for the same money.

Wir waren zu zweit am Sonntag frühstücken, was auch super lief. Die strammen Mäxe waren 1A. Personal sehr freundlich (war leider in der Vergangenheit nicht immer so). Dann gings ans Bezahlen: keine EC/ Kreditkarte möglich. Bargeld lacht ☹ wellcome im 19. Century. Ich musste mir den Differenzbetrag von meinem eingeladenen Kollegen leihen. War super peinlich. Das riecht unausgegoren und nach „Hallo Finanzamt, ich tricks Dich aus“.

Very tasty pizza schnitzel with fries and salad! Really great in terms of taste and price! The food was served quickly and there were no long waiting times. However, the operation leaves something to be desired. Reordered drinks were brought to the table very late and there was no response to hand signals. Unfortunately, there were no questions, as is usual elsewhere, as to whether everything fits.

It was a great evening. The food was great and the employees were all nice and polite. Unfortunately the background noise is a bit louder but you have to live with that in Hamburg. The food definitely made up for it all and the price/performance was great too. We would be happy to come again on our next visit

Right on the street, of course loud if you sit outside. But it didn't bother us. I had farmer's breakfast, the portion was rather small. But prices are okay. The employee seemed annoyed, it's a shame, as a guest you feel annoying.

Had dinner here at Schweinske today with a small group of friends. Locality as you know the chain. Simple, uncomplicated and still delicious. In terms of price, I still find it completely acceptable. I've gotten less on my plate for more money somewhere else. I can recommend Jägerschnitzel, apple spritzer and cappuccino. Gladly again!

Food is delicious and the staff is very friendly.

After a long journey and work, you wanted to treat yourself to something good and stopped there because of the recession in the foreign city. The ambience was pleasant, the food (schnitzel) was shockingly bland, not a hint of salt or pepper. The sauce served with it was terrible, the fries and the standard salad with the same dressing were the highlight for us (2 people). It's a shame actually. The gastronomy in Hamburg is otherwise very, very good ❗ Sorry, but you have a lot of potential for improvement, regular guests may see it differently, but we don't.

The food and service were great, unfortunately the construction work in the street area affected the ambience a bit... but I would come back at any time if I came back to HH

The Schweinske im Horn just before the Hamm district is a very nice restaurant with a lot of different food and drinks. You might be able to get enough here, but today the weather was a little too hot at 32 degrees and I couldn't eat a schnitzel. But I would love to come back. The hospitality there is very friendly and modest. Today I had a Coke or a Pepsi.

I come here every now and again for breakfast as a guest and have always been extremely satisfied. Service 1a, food always of the usual and affordable quality. And for me, as an early riser, it's great that this Schweinske opens at 8 a.m., even on weekends. Always my pleasure.

We both ordered the luxury sau breakfast and unfortunately I can't agree with the previous reviews, and I'm also annoyed that I didn't take a photo. It's true that the service was friendly, but all that was luxury about this breakfast was the presentation. On a large plate there was a slice of toasted bread, which was also delicious, then some salmon with about a tablespoon of horseradish, as well as the same amount of jam and cream cheese. And ONE slice of analogue cheese and ONE slice of turkey breast exactly the size of the roll... nothing more! Also 2 x butter and 2 more rolls. You could then choose sparkling wine or orange juice and everything for the price of €16.50...coffee, egg or something similar. OF COURSE Extra in total with a coffee and 2 scrambled eggs we got €42.00. We came to the conclusion We don't want to have to do that again.

Basically yes. I haven't been to a Schweinske in a long time and I probably remember things better from Wandsbek, Bramfeld and Farmsen. I'm also missing a few dishes and what happened to the delicious home-made bread and dip? But times change. Ninja, that's just how it is.

Cash only ! We had to go to the ATM again. The tables were empty, but still full of breadcrumbs. The order we placed did not match what we received. The scrambled eggs were way too oily and were swimming in fat. We didn't like it at all. My Mettbrötchen halves were delicious, but there were far too many onions for such a small half (that was very well intentioned). On the whole, we unfortunately won't be visiting the store again as this is the second time we've been disappointed.

As very long-time customers, we were very disappointed. Drinks were very good [aperitif Aperolspritz with rhubarb] and the service was good too. In particular, the very, very young “lad” at the counter was there with enthusiasm and care. The food was very far from the desired quality. There was a farmer's breakfast once, the potatoes were far too firm and the temperature was lukewarm at best. Re-seasoning can happen. Then schnitzel with fries..... schnitzel wasn't cooked through, but it was hot. The sauce was gel-like,...The bread served had no taste, but was fresh. We had food from the owner [franchise?!] before and it was of well-known quality. Not really recommended at the moment.
