Great place. Small beer garden - Oasis gas station - meeting place - live music (not always). Delicious drinks and food. A great experience yesterday: chilling in the sun with a saxophone during the Play Me Piano event in Augsburg. Thanks so much for such cool moments.

A cycling and walking hotspot, right on the beautiful Hochablass. €4.70 for a wheat beer (that's €94 for a 20-bottle carrier!) isn't exactly reasonable for a kiosk. Of course, rent, energy, and staff costs also add up. I also find the other drinks overpriced. The currywurst was perfect fast food.

If you visit Hochablass or Kuhsee, you definitely can't miss the Black Box. The setting alone is enchanting and impressive. Unfortunately, I can only comment on the ambiance and the drinks I brought myself; I'll try the food on my next visit. The staff are certainly friendly, and the tables were clean during our visit.

Small bistro at the Hochablass in Augsburg. It's nice here. I only had a wheat beer, so I can't rate the food.

Overpriced, over €5 for a plate of fries, which weren't exactly a hit. Also, the food options aren't clearly advertised, there are large boards for drinks and a few specials displayed with menu items listed, but it's unclear exactly what the entire menu includes. Relatively long wait times, and the staff are moderately friendly. Then the card reader brazenly asks for a tip before you can even pay. Tipping should be considered an extra bonus, usually only given for outstanding service or ambiance. Neither was really present, at least with street vendors. The hygiene standards are also interesting if you take a look into the "kitchen." The employees simply eat individual fries from the bowl of fries with their hands, without gloves. It doesn't exactly make you hungry when you finally get your food several minutes later. The health department will definitely be happy the next time they stop by. I wouldn't recommend it. I'm already looking forward to the operator's toxic response (just look at the other reviews with criticism that are being made fun of). Edit: This is ridiculous. I think the kiosk operator doesn't understand the meaning of "review." Of course, it's subjective, based on one's own impression during the visit. It was never claimed that this was an objective investigation or large-scale scientific study. I can only speak from my own experience. And it wasn't good. Besides, he seems to be twisting every word three times and taking himself too seriously. I recommend professional help.

This is my third time here. It's a cozy and shady beer garden. The restrooms are also okay. The bulgur salad was delicious in this hot weather. One star deducted because you have to get your own food and are still asked to tip, and because they don't serve Diet Coke, only Zero, which I don't like. But I'd be happy to come back! Very friendly staff, it's always our stop when we're out walking the dog 🐕‍🦺. We love coming here, and I highly recommend the lemon cake 🥰. There's always something going on, like live music, a barbecue, etc. A big compliment to the whole team! We're always happy to come back 🤗🤗

The food took a very long time to arrive; we waited 20 minutes for fries, a vegan currywurst, and a salad, and it wasn't very busy. The waitress kept messing up our order and was watching football while we ate. I also think the prices are quite high for the portion sizes, but the food was delicious.

The location at Hochablass inevitably leads you to the Schwarze Kiste. A cool fast food joint with a special touch. A clear concept for ordering, serving drinks, and serving food. The dishes are delicious, some of them a little out of the ordinary. The pulled pork, burgers, and cake are highly recommended.

We have walked past many times and this was our first time there as customers. We went there with great anticipation and were unfortunately very disappointed... We finally decided on an iced coffee and a small coffee Americano. The prices are very high (~13€), especially for the size of the drink. The iced coffee was <0.2L in a crushed plastic cup. In addition, both drinks were just old/stale black coffee. In summary, we were very disappointed and rather disgusted with the product sold. If you're longing for a delicious and inexpensive iced coffee, get it at the Rewe around the corner. Unfortunately we won't be buying anything here again. Wish the quality was significantly better for this price!

Black Box – A pleasure for over 10 years!🙏😊👏 The Black Box has fascinated me from the very beginning - and has been for over a decade! I still remember the first days at Königsplatz when I enjoyed my first cappuccino there. Since then, one thing has never changed: the quality and taste are simply top! Whether at Königsplatz or towards Haunstetten - the Black Box always provided great coffee and delicious food. The currywurst and the cappuccino particularly impressed me every time. It's a real shame that Moritzplatz was the last stop, because this special atmosphere simply belongs in the city center. But no matter where the journey takes us – we remain loyal to the Black Box! Thank you for all the years full of enjoyment and special moments!

It's good that there is even a kiosk here. However, a second kiosk would make sense. On the one hand, the rush is very big. So you often have to wait a long time. Secondly, a second kiosk would also ensure that prices are regulated. The prices here are clearly too high for a kiosk. This is not a café or a restaurant, but "just" a kiosk. You get “okay” quality, but the prices are still significantly too high. Absolutely off the charts.

Completely overpriced. Actually originally a kiosk, now a hipster coffee shop full of eBike snobs. Closer discussions with the staff allow conclusions to be drawn that would be exciting for certain offices.

Everything is good, but two suggestions for improvement: 1. Chili oil costs extra but doesn't burn at all. All it does is make the currywurst super oily but not spicy at all. Then it's better to offer powder or at least hot oil and maybe just for free. 2. Vegetarian currywurst costs almost a euro more than the normal one. It doesn't work at all. Even if it is more expensive to purchase, you should cross-finance it and make it the same price or a little cheaper so that more people choose the sustainable alternative. Otherwise everything is delicious so far :)

The Hochablass is worth a trip anyway and you can fortify yourself here. At the moment (winter 2024/25) the location has been expanded to include a small, cozy Christmas market with food, drinks and a campfire in the evenings.

The staff is very unfriendly and the fries were soggy. The toilets were blocked, it was worse than when I was at school. Absolutely no recommendation.

Food is ok, not great but ok. But the tables, serving area, dining and seating areas are very dirty. The toilet is a place of horror. It's a shame about the actually great location right on the Kuhsee.

I can't say anything about the food or atmosphere, I only wanted 2 bottles of water, I also had 2 empty ones with me. Adelholzener, the only difference, mine were soft, yours were Classic, but otherwise the same (glass and 0.5l). The first comment from the lady at the sales: I can't offset that, they're not from us! -> Maybe people should be used who are trained in the deposit system before making such comments... And then wanting to charge me EUR 7.60 for 2 bottles of water knocks the whole thing out anyway. Sorry, but that doesn't work at all. I was there last time...

Was shocked that there were no porcelain dishes. Why do I have to eat my fries out of the cardboard box with a wooden fork when I'm sitting in the beer garden. No understanding of this throwaway philosophy.

Fries and the BBQ pulled pork poutine are highly recommended. Large portions and friendly staff. Gladly again!

Very cool atmosphere with lounge chairs outside. The currywurst was very crunchy, very crispy fries and good sauce. The staff was very nice both times, and once the grill, which had already been cleaned, was turned on again especially for us. It's very relaxing to have something to eat after an afternoon at the Kuhsee. I can definitely recommend the Black Box!

Great ambience right on the Kuhsee with a beautiful view of the dammed Lech. The sales service is always very attentive and friendly, despite the sometimes quite long queues. We always come here at the end of our gravel tour and definitely don't want to miss this stop!

Completely overpriced, cheesecake is not homemade (but the manufacturer makes it himself, said the gentleman behind the counter... what can you say about that?). Rare for a mere price of €6! received such a product. Banana cake doesn't taste like banana and is bone dry. Marble cake was ok. Toilets smell of urine and are very dirty. Beer garden is quite nice, but overall nothing that makes you feel comfortable.
