Das beste Bier Augsburgs vom Fass (Augustiner;), wirklich sehr schmackhafte Pulled Pork Pomnes. Sehr freundliches Personal, tolle Location. Eine Oase!

Tolle Ort an einem Punkt zwischen zu Hause und Arbeit , ideal für eine Feierabendbier!! Ist auch durch dem Winter geöffnet, muss man aufpassen ob es geöffnet ist . Essen ist Standard, Pommes, Currywurst usw... Aber nix zu meckern. Selbstbedienung. Es gibt eine kleine Ecke wo es richtig Schatten mit Baum !

Eigentlich habe ich dort gerne angehalten und etwas getrunken.Ist nicht gerade günstig aber naja ok (Bier aus der Flasche 4,90).Diesmal wolten wir eine Kleinigkeit essen.Wurstsalat 9.90 Top.Aber Fritten Guatemala Style für 10,60 geht garnicht.Die Portionsgröße ist gleich der normalen Fritten für 5,30.Der einzige Unterschied waren etwas Thomatenstücke,Guacamole.Auf Nachfrage ob es die falsche Schale war und nicht in eine größere gehört,nur kopfschütteln und grinsen.Aussage wir machen ja nicht die Preise. Da sag ich danke und halte das nächste mal wo anders an.Mfg

Leider hat die Qualität des Essens sehr abgenommen. Das pullet pork war nicht durch und die Steaksemmel total verknorpelt. Schade ….

Der frühere Kiosk am Hochablass ist in seiner heutigen Form als Schwarze Kiste ein mega Gewinn. Es gibt leckere Speisen, zum Teil in Bio-Qualität und von Biergarten- über Bistrotisch bis Liegestuhl alle Formen von gemütlichem Aufenthalt.

Die Schwarze Kiste am Hochablass ist ein Ort, an dem Augsburg besonders entspannt wirkt. Zwischen Wasser, Bäumen und dem besonderen Flair des Hochablasses verbindet sich hier Natur mit gemütlicher Biergartenstimmung. Ob Kaffee, etwas Leckeres auf die Hand oder einfach eine kurze Pause am Wasser — dieser Ort fühlt sich nach Sommer, Freiheit und kleinen Auszeiten an. Die Schwarze Kiste ist kein Platz zum Hetzen, sondern zum Ankommen, Durchatmen und Genießen.

Frisch gezapftes Augustiner Hell im Glaskrug. Currywurst/Pommes ebenfalls hervorragend. Was braucht man bei schönem Wetter im Biergarten mehr.... Super Ambiente....

Die Currywurst ist leider nicht mehr, was sie mal war. Kommen nicht mehr dafür.

Die schwarze Kiste ist schon echt top. Gutes Essen und tolle Getränke. Die Preise sind ok.

Hat in den letzten 50 Jahren schon unzählige Namen gehabt,möglicherweise braucht man sich den aktuellen auch nicht lange zu merken. Jedenfalls war das der erste Kiosk am Kuhsee, in den 70er Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts hat man sich hier als Kind immer eine Fischsemmel und ein Cola gekauft. Gehört einfach zum Kuhsee dazu wie das Wehr selbst

Nette location am Wasser, viele Gäste und schneller Service. Ich empfinde es etwas teuer, aber am Wasser gelegen und für einen Stopp auf einer Fahrradtour oder auf einem Spaziergang perfekt.

wir haben zwei mal die vegane Currywurst, ein alkoholfreies Bier und ein grosses Wasser getrunken. Der Ort an sich ist sowieso eine 10 von 10, direkt am Hochablass. Die Jungs und Mädels an der "Bar" / Essensausgabe waren sehr freundlich, die Pommes waren sehr gut und auch die vegane Currywurst war sehr gut. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Na ja, ein Currywürstchen für 8,80 ganz schön teuer. Der Biergarten ist schön, aber das war er schon immer, auch ohne diese schwarze Kiste.

Mit Abstand einer der wunderbarsten Orte weit und breit. Pommes - unschlagbar gut Kuchen/Gebäck - Mega lecker z.T. selbstgemacht Bier - Augustiner (vom Fass) Mehr muss man nicht sagen oder?!

Selbstgebackenes und einen frischen Chai Latte sogar mit Haferdrink erhalten. Mega begeistert

Ein sehr schöner, kleiner Biergarten – perfekt für eine entspannte Pause am Kuhsee. Die Lage ist wirklich ideal, vor allem wenn man eine Runde um den See macht und zwischendurch kurz einkehren möchte. Die Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken ist gut und bietet für verschiedene Geschmäcker etwas. Egal ob für ein kleines Mittagessen oder Kaffee und Kuchen – hier wird man auf jeden Fall fündig. Auch die Sitzmöglichkeiten sind absolut ausreichend und laden zum Verweilen ein. Insgesamt ein gemütlicher Ort für einen unkomplizierten Zwischenstopp – komme gerne wieder!

Die schwarze Kiste am Hochablass ist wegen dem angrenzenden Kuhsee und dem Stauwehr ein netter Ort für eine Einkehr nach einem schönen Spaziergang. Leider kann ich nur 3 Sterne vergeben, da die Preise meiner Meinung für einen Kiosk doch etwas abgehoben sind.

Leider schaffen Sie es nicht ihre Karte zu ändern. Schon vor 5 Wochen wollten sie mir erst keinen Hauswein 0,5 für 9,90 verkaufen. Angeblich könnte dies ihr Kassensystem nicht. Heute die Ausrede, das Sie dies nicht verkaufen, obwohl es an der aktuellen karte steht. Stattdessen wurde mir 0,2 angeboten, welchen sie großzügig eingiessen wollten. Sorry auf der Karte stehen eh 0,3 für 5,90 drauf. Kassiert wuden dann sogar 6,50 Euro. Ändert endlich die Karte !!!

Nettes Personal ,freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist gut 👍 die Getränkeauswahl auch. Schöne Sitzplätze zum verweilen laden ein.. Auch geöffnet wenn das Wetter mal nicht so perfekt ist.

It is located in a pleasant setting by the river and the forest, making it a perfect spot for a refreshing break. The fries with various toppings and the currywurst were excellent — it’s not a fine dining restaurant, but that’s exactly why it feels so relaxed and authentic.

We regularly visit the outdoor café: snacks, cocktails, coffee, cakes – a great selection. But what's completely unacceptable is the 70-cent surcharge for milk alternatives. That's really outdated, because oat milk, for example, doesn't cost any more than fair-trade cow's milk – that was true a few years ago, but now it's just a way to make money.

We always enjoy coming here, but today the service around 11 am was incredibly unfriendly and annoyed. It's difficult to have such people working in the service industry.

Great place. Small beer garden - Oasis gas station - meeting place - live music (not always). Delicious drinks and food. A great experience yesterday: chilling in the sun with a saxophone during the Play Me Piano event in Augsburg. Thanks so much for such cool moments.

Unfortunately, there were no sweet potato fries on Sunday, but the pulled pork and fries were very good.

It's really great there, plenty of seating, and the lounge chairs are great. It's fantastic when the weather's nice. The latte and cappuccino are very good. Prices are a bit high for self-service. But the black box is definitely recommended.

A cycling and walking hotspot, right on the beautiful Hochablass. €4.70 for a wheat beer (that's €94 for a 20-bottle carrier!) isn't exactly reasonable for a kiosk. Of course, rent, energy, and staff costs also add up. I also find the other drinks overpriced. The currywurst was perfect fast food.

If you visit Hochablass or Kuhsee, you definitely can't miss the Black Box. The setting alone is enchanting and impressive. Unfortunately, I can only comment on the ambiance and the drinks I brought myself; I'll try the food on my next visit. The staff are certainly friendly, and the tables were clean during our visit.

Small bistro at the Hochablass in Augsburg. It's nice here. I only had a wheat beer, so I can't rate the food.

Overpriced, over €5 for a plate of fries, which weren't exactly a hit. Also, the food options aren't clearly advertised, there are large boards for drinks and a few specials displayed with menu items listed, but it's unclear exactly what the entire menu includes. Relatively long wait times, and the staff are moderately friendly. Then the card reader brazenly asks for a tip before you can even pay. Tipping should be considered an extra bonus, usually only given for outstanding service or ambiance. Neither was really present, at least with street vendors. The hygiene standards are also interesting if you take a look into the "kitchen." The employees simply eat individual fries from the bowl of fries with their hands, without gloves. It doesn't exactly make you hungry when you finally get your food several minutes later. The health department will definitely be happy the next time they stop by. I wouldn't recommend it. I'm already looking forward to the operator's toxic response (just look at the other reviews with criticism that are being made fun of). Edit: This is ridiculous. I think the kiosk operator doesn't understand the meaning of "review." Of course, it's subjective, based on one's own impression during the visit. It was never claimed that this was an objective investigation or large-scale scientific study. I can only speak from my own experience. And it wasn't good. Besides, he seems to be twisting every word three times and taking himself too seriously. I recommend professional help.

Very friendly staff, it's always our stop when we're out walking the dog 🐕‍🦺. We love coming here, and I highly recommend the lemon cake 🥰. There's always something going on, like live music, a barbecue, etc. A big compliment to the whole team! We're always happy to come back 🤗🤗

The food took a very long time to arrive; we waited 20 minutes for fries, a vegan currywurst, and a salad, and it wasn't very busy. The waitress kept messing up our order and was watching football while we ate. I also think the prices are quite high for the portion sizes, but the food was delicious.

The location at Hochablass inevitably leads you to the Schwarze Kiste. A cool fast food joint with a special touch. A clear concept for ordering, serving drinks, and serving food. The dishes are delicious, some of them a little out of the ordinary. The pulled pork, burgers, and cake are highly recommended.

Kuhsee and Hochablaß are always worth a visit. At the Black Box, you can purchase culinary delicacies for a lot of money. A portion of sweet potato fries with three dips costs €11.70. I was a bit surprised by that price...

We have walked past many times and this was our first time there as customers. We went there with great anticipation and were unfortunately very disappointed... We finally decided on an iced coffee and a small coffee Americano. The prices are very high (~13€), especially for the size of the drink. The iced coffee was <0.2L in a crushed plastic cup. In addition, both drinks were just old/stale black coffee. In summary, we were very disappointed and rather disgusted with the product sold. If you're longing for a delicious and inexpensive iced coffee, get it at the Rewe around the corner. Unfortunately we won't be buying anything here again. Wish the quality was significantly better for this price!
