A really great restaurant with delicious cuisine. The dishes are classic for the region. The portions are more than sufficient. You can tell that there are decades of experience behind the stove and behind the counter. The service staff are also great! You feel welcome here and you'll be happy to come back. It is strongly recommended to make reservations, as there are a lot of hungry people who like to come here. I too am a self-confessed repeat offender and have been there a few times.

Today is Monday, October 21st, 2024, I go to the moonshine distillery on the schnitzel day advertised for today and order exactly the daily offer advertised with the picture and price. But I don't even get half of the schitzel offer shown, which was at full price and hasn't been improved. “The photo is out of date.” Enticement offer that reminds me of a deceptive package. No insight from the staff until I left. Too bad. That doesn't fit.

Nice little restaurant that we have now enjoyed four times as a stop for lunch on a longer trip. At lunchtime it is advisable to call ahead and reserve a table, as on all our visits it was always well occupied. The prices are much cheaper here, compared to what awaits you once you have crossed the border a few kilometers further. Very good asparagus dishes in season.

It can be very crowded here on a Friday evening. Then there is not enough parking space in front of the house and it gets very loud inside, so conversations can be difficult. During our visit the staff was very friendly and hardworking. The portions are plentiful and the prices are fair. We had different dishes at the table and everyone was satisfied.

We were served by two ladies who couldn't be more different. One is incredibly friendly, in a great mood and attentive. The other was very grubby, grumpy and unfriendly. Too bad. Food was good, home cooking as you know it! Menu rather small, but sufficient.

We were guests at the Schwarzbrenner today, at lunchtime. We were seated quickly and the order was taken quickly. The small salad was an imposition, something was wrong with the dressing. So ordered another one and got the same thing. Bean salad wasn't dressed, is it asking too much to add savory and onions? The rest of the meal was nothing special, it was ok. Conclusion: mass production is used. The price-performance ratio is not justified. Would I go again? No.

Hello everyone On Sunday I ate with two colleagues at Schwarzbrenner. I actually wanted to reserve a table, but when I tried to call it wasn't picked up. When we got there, we unfortunately had to hear why that was the case because the phone rang on a continuous loop the whole evening and was so loud that you couldn't even block it out outside, which was very annoying was grueling and completely ruined the actually not bad atmosphere (even when the staff was idle, the phone wasn't picked up once) I also ordered the menu pork medallions with mushroom cream sauce and rösti with the changes turkey instead of pork and knöpfle instead of rösti and a colleague also ordered köpfle instead of rösti when ordering and the certificate was written down. None of this is a thing. However, we got the Rösti like on the menu and I had sliced ​​turkey instead of the medallions I ordered (which were also available on the menu). We were then offered a coffee or schnapps as compensation, unfortunately both were not our cup of tea. Maybe there is still work being done on this, especially on noise pollution.

Before I write the same review, I read through the others and apparently the lady with the Swiss accent (the boss's wife, so you can't talk to the boss about it) has problems with children. First of all, I would like to say that I can highly recommend the food itself and I actually ALWAYS enjoy it. There are also really nice employees in the moonshiner who are unfortunately under the wing of the boss's wife/girlfriend. I also have the feeling that the boss himself doesn't feel any different. But that is pure speculation. My best friend and I had dinner there yesterday with our children. Two of the children are just one year old and the third child is just three. As you know, IF you are educated, children like to throw things (food, cutlery, etc.) down. We were greeted very courteously by the previous waitress, Laura, and were often asked about our well-being, but after Laura got off work, we were unfortunately continued to be "served" by the child-unfriendly and totally dissatisfied lady (Swiss accent). No questions were asked as to whether we would like anything else or whether we would like to pay because we were simply ignored. Only after LOUD shouts did she come to the table. Our request to pack up the leftover food was rudely accepted, and we were also excited that the children were so “loud”. She also rambled (complained) to herself. Normally we NEVER leave restaurants without cleaning under the table first because the kids throw everything down. Of course we didn't. After we got out I had to go back in and the lady with the Swiss accent complained loudly plus a very friendly expression on her face (Not). In addition, my daughter and I looked at each other condescendingly! I have to say that these incidents have happened many times and I have avoided this restaurant. However, I think that everyone has a chance, especially because you don't always meet nice guests, but children are children and the children of today are the providers of the pensioners of tomorrow. Every person deserves respect, no matter how small it is. If children don't like to be seen in the restaurant, you should probably think about it or look for a job where you don't come across our little everyday heroes.

First-class service and delicious food at fair prices

Mediocrity: the only thing that is attractive is the draft beer. The Rösti are simply tasteless or prepared carelessly, and the accompanying pork schnitzel also tasted like nothing. The location is designed for mass processing, so don't expect anything and then maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised. The service diminished as the evening progressed - when no one cared about us anymore, we asked for the bill. We're definitely not coming back.

Today my wife and I ate here and weren't so convinced at first because the entrance area was more reminiscent of a pub. However, the rear area surprised us positively. We were taken directly to our table by the staff. After a short wait, we were asked about our wishes. The food didn't take long to arrive. In the picture you can see what I ordered. Mein Schwager hat mich zum essen eingeladen und sind dabei im Schwarzbrenner bei Lörrach gelandet. Schwarzbrenner ist ein Lokal mit rustikaler Einrichtung. Das Essen ist reichlich und sehr gut. Nur hatte ich das Gefühl dass bekannte Gäste mit der Bedienung vorgezogen werden. Bedienung aber freundlich. Empfehlenswert ist aber trotzdem.

Ich komme sehr gerne hierhin! Gute deutsche Küche und die Schnitzel sind absolut zu empfehlen 🤤 Die Portionen sind mehr als ausreichend und sollten jede:n sattbekommen. Der Service ist klasse und man wird gut beraten. Weiter so! 🎯

Beim Schwarzbrenner gibt es definitiv das beste Schnitzel mit Pommes und Salat in der Region. Aber auch alle anderen Dinge, die ich hier schon bestellt habe, sind einfach unglaublich lecker. Das Essen ist immer frisch zubereitet und kommt in Höchstgeschwindigkeit. Das Restaurant ist urig und gemütlich eingerichtet, die Gartenwirtschaft groß und trotz Nähe zur Straße sehr ruhig. Die Bedienungen sind alle, durch die Bank durch, total nett und aufmerksam. Wir kommen sehr gerne immer wieder ☺️

sehr leckeres Essen und toller Service

Essen ist nichtmehr das, was es mal war. Früher viel besser geschmeckt mittlerweile werden salate wie bspw. Kartoffelsalat 1zu1 mit etwas frischem schnittlauch vom Großhandel aus Mühlheim verkauft(schmeckt 1 zu 1 gleich). Die Chefin mit Schweizer Akzent ist extrem unfreundlich erst recht wenn man sich beschwert (durch bspw. Gurken im Salat obwohl es extra gesagt wurde, etc.) Preise sind natürlich angestiegen wie überall sonst auch das kann man nicht vorwerfen, was man aber kann ist dass gleichzeitig die Portionen dazu runtergegangen sind. Alles in allem schade was aus so einem schönen Restaurant geworden ist.
