Many thanks to the team at the Schwanenschlösschen in Freiberg. We ordered a candlelit dinner for our 10th wedding anniversary. Our expectations were more than exceeded. The table was lovingly set, the food arrived promptly, and the servers were super friendly. All in all, a truly wonderful, unforgettable evening. We would go back anytime and highly recommend it!

Fancy a trip back in time? Then you have to come here. What a wonderful place – located practically directly on the lake with small swan-shaped boats for rent. We're people who like to eat outside on the terrace, as we smoke. At this restaurant, we couldn't decide whether to eat outside or inside – a wonderful interior 😍. Finally, a restaurant that hasn't been modernized, but rather renovated and preserved – according to old traditions. The service was charming and friendly – ​​they kept asking if we were satisfied. The food came quickly and was delicious. We ordered fish and schnitzel – there was nothing wrong with it – on the contrary – everything was fresh and very decoratively prepared. The prices are absolutely reasonable. Also worth mentioning is the extremely friendly staff. Discreet, yet close to the customer. Both inside and outside, there's a lot of information and pictures about the restaurant from times long past. A little journey through time. We were enchanted by this wonderful spot on this small lake – this restaurant will be a stop for us every time we're in Freiberg. It's truly worth it!

A very lovingly decorated restaurant, we made a reservation for 8 people at short notice, the food was great and little extras were no problem at all, there is also a small corner for children, we would love to come back

Very pleasant hospitality. Romantic location by the lake. Parking is a bit far away, but manageable. The star deduction is due to the fact that small special requests were not met several times. The children's meals didn't arrive as ordered. We had this corrected, and then it worked. The same thing happened with the ice cream... a shame, because otherwise everything was fine.

Today we had an appointment at the school reunion in the Schwanenschlösschen. It's clear that after 50 years there was a lot to talk about and tell. The joy was great and of course the punch lines too. However, the young waitress had no understanding of this. We were approached about our conversation in an unfriendly and disrespectful manner and although no other guests had complained, when we asked, we were brushed off by the incompetent and snippy waitress. If you can't stand a class reunion, the Schwanenschlösschen team shouldn't accept a reservation for it. Happy guests are not welcome there. Very, very sad at this time. Never again! Not recommended! There's nothing like going there once you're there...

The ambiance was unbeatable; we sat on the terrace in the sunshine, right above the lake. The service was good, as was the food, and the value for money was right. Definitely worth a visit.

We were here at the Schwanenschlösschen today and only looked at it from the outside. It is a very well maintained property. We'll be back in the summer and will indulge in the atmosphere then.

Good home-style food at a good price. Even spontaneously get a table and eat and drink deliciously. The waitress was on point and we didn't have to wait long. Whether drinks or food arrived quickly and we were all full. Gladly again.

Like other comments before me.. Nice atmosphere and great decor! Unfortunately, friendliness and service were not the top priority of the staff. Personally, the roulade was tough for me, as with other comments, perhaps you should reconsider the meat or the preparation. Fried potatoes taste delicious, but are very fatty. The seasoned meat was recommended

Nice establishment, great location - in the middle of a beautiful lake, in the center of the city. An interesting cozy place, well-kept, clean, tastefully decorated interior, enough space, there is a children's playground) I recommend this institution for a visit! It is desirable to add a little friendliness to some waitresses, a friendly smile to visitors will only decorate her face 😉.

Very cozy in the old style. We were there on January 4th. 2025 here, a quick call was enough and 10 minutes later we were there. We ordered baked camembert and chicken schnitzel, both delicious. Definitely recommended.

Simply a dream with the ambience, the food and also the uncomplicated service in my case, because I hadn't reserved beforehand. And it was almost completely full. The “Imperial Power Broth” is very tasty with liquid egg in the core! The schnitzel, the homemade remoulade... simply "just" very tasty!

The building on the pond is already a feast for the eyes. Very friendly staff and good food make the experience in the nostalgic restaurant a special experience. The design of the menu matches the ambience of the rooms. We will come back again.

Great location, lovingly decorated now for Christmas time. There are many elements from the region to admire. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was freshly prepared and came relatively quickly. The seasoned meat is absolutely amazing, we've never had it so good. The meat from the schnitzel and deer wasn't that great, very tough, the side dishes were okay. It is advisable to reserve a table.

Stopped there spontaneously on Sunday to fortify myself with a coffee... There was even enough space and because it was so good I wanted to try the Georg swan puff. Very tasty, highly recommended......

Schöne Atmosphäre, sehr gutes traditionelles Essen, das man heute nur noch schwer findet. Wir haben Kohlrouladen und Rinderzunge mit Erbsen gegessen. Alles prima angerichtet und sehr gut gekocht, hat uns wunderbar geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war flott und freundlich.

Great excursion destination with a great location directly on the water with fountains on the lake and with a very long tradition. Very rustic, lovingly designed facility. Great starters, but unfortunately the two main courses we tasted can't keep up. The schnitzel was wonderfully brown on top, but the underside was completely light and so mushy that the breading was practically no longer there. The fried potatoes are nicely made, with ham and roasted aromas, but unfortunately just too greasy overall. Very tasty salad side dish. The other dish had frozen vegetables, which unfortunately also tasted the same. There is still potential for improvement. Service is absolutely fine, and special requests when reserving a table are also taken into account with a lot of commitment.

The restaurant is beautifully located on the pond and the food is delicious. The wine we ordered was overpriced for my taste. Pre-order is advisable. Unfortunately, we were directly observed and stared at the entire time of our visit by an intrusive guest, which was very unpleasant. Apparently he belonged to the staff or knew them because they talked to them loudly. As I said, the restaurant was great and recommended.

We were there spontaneously for lunch today and found a place on the sunny terrace. If you like it a little shady, there is also enough space. The waiter didn't wait long, was nice and friendly, accommodating and served us well, despite it being very busy. The food was excellent, definitely worth the price and we were more than full. Schnitzel with fried potatoes, chicken schnitzel and brawn are highly recommended. Big compliments to the kitchen. As a visitor to the city you should definitely stop there. With a view of the pond, it's the perfect place to unwind. As a native of Freiberg, I was very happy that the Schwanenschlösschen was reopened. We'll definitely come back here.

We arrived relatively late. And were the last guests. The service was friendly. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes were bland and the chanterelles in cream had no taste (which is difficult...) and the schnitzel had a soft crust. It was the same with my wife. I could have done that better at home. Since we were invited it didn't hurt that much, but I expect more from a restaurant with a good reputation shortly before the kitchen closes. That was just average.

Very nicely located... Unfortunately operated below value... The solyanka and stuffed cabbage were too salty... 2nd attempt today... Appointment reservation online... At the desired time everything was full for 2 people... It was fine for 4 people... Now you could think that the bear is dancing here... When we arrived everything was free downstairs... half the terrace was cordoned off... I have no idea what that was supposed to mean... What a shame... at least the service was there make an effort...

Dresden Eierschecke with a guarantee of tradition was offered. You imagine something great. Unfortunately, old-fashioned. No sign of Eierschecke. Way too much dough. Then we had to wait a long time for service to finally pay and leave. A pity.

We had seen this lovely restaurant before our visit to Terra Mineralia and wanted to eat there with our two children after our trip. When we arrived at the restaurant in bright sunshine, we wanted a table outside, but the waitress immediately said no, it would only be possible inside. After asking again why it wasn't possible, since the weather was beautiful, the blonde waitress said that she didn't want to wipe all the tables now and that a thunderstorm had been reported for later (at that time and for 2 hours later there was a bright blue sky). So too lazy to wipe a table... I then said whether they probably didn't want any money, the waitress said yes. I've never experienced anything so lazy and unfriendly in a restaurant. I can't say anything about the food, unfortunately. There's only one thing left: Hui on the outside, yuck on the inside.

Food was a disaster: cold, totally over salted, vegetables not cooked until soft, sauerbraten was pork steak with vinegar sauce. Food not recommended, but nice service and nice location.

I heard no from the waiter too often. You couldn't look at the cakes, so I ordered a pig in a poke and the cream puff couldn't be shared. I thought it was a shame. Location couldn't be topped.

Als erstes muss ich betonen, dass ich das "Schwanenschlösschen" schon als Kind geliebt habe. Nach der Schließung war ich sehr traurig, aber zum Glück erstrahlt es nun schon seit Jahren wieder im alten Glanz. Familienfeiern, mein 60. und auch der 70. Geburtstag wurden da gefeiert. Nun wohne ich nicht mehr in Freiberg, aber bei meinen Besuchen gehört ein Besuch meines Lieblingsrestaurants einfach dazu. Leider wurde ich am 13.4.2024 arg enttäuscht von der Antwort eines ihrer Kollegen. Ein simpler Espresso war der Anlass. Ich bat den Kellner um ein Glas Wasser dazu, so wie es üblich ist, auch in vielen deutschen Restaurants. Er könne mir eine Flasche bringen, so die Antwort. Ich möchte nur ein kleines Glas Leitungswasser, bat ich nochmals. "So was gibt es bei uns nicht, das ist eine italienische Macke." und er verschwand. Ich bin selten sprachlos, aber meine Freundinnen und ich konnten es nicht fassen. Wie gesagt, es war nur eine simple Angelegenheit, aber unter Service verstehe ich doch was anderes. Es wird mich von weiteren Besuchen nicht abhalten (_vielleicht ist der Schluck Wasser dann doch drin) und ich wünsche dem Team alles, alles Gute. Helga aus Potsdam

A cozy, rustic restaurant with a beautiful location by the castle pond. The selection of dishes is not a big highlight, only meat eaters will get their money's worth. There is hardly any vegetarian choice, and there is only one fish dish. Taste OK, could be better. Unfortunately, the staff is very unfriendly, smiling is completely out of place and a good day or goodbye is just as much to ask. There are clearly better restaurants in Freiberg!

Ein sehr gemütliches Traditionslokal. Leckerer Kuchen (Schwedische Apfeltorte)mit Käffchen. Die Hausgemachte Melonen-Erdbeerlimo ist auf jedenfall zu empfehlen. Wir waren zwar nur zum Kaffee und Kuchen, aber die Abendkarte werden wir auf jedenfall mal probieren. Das Personal war sehr sehr freundlich. Immer wieder gerne
