Very tasty food. Fast service. Staff was a bit stressed.

We "unfortunately" spent our Christmas party here... Food, well, for a middle-class house. Ok, just rump steak with a few croquettes. Portions were for dwarves, a colleague ordered two main meals to fill him up, luckily there was still something at home. Long wait for drinks. Tip for the waiters *Open your eyes when choosing a career" Friendliness is just false artifice, eyes turn from the guest... If my girls had treated the guests like that back then.... Goodbye, they would have left my house immediately. That was the first and last time.

We were guests today with 6 people. Price-performance ratio is good. The food overall was excellent, especially the goose leg. Big praise to the chef. Restaurant overall well organized, our waitress was very attentive, friendly and very quick.

Very nice, cozy restaurant. The food is tasty and the service is very nice. Price-performance ratio is right.

Hospitality is very important here and you immediately feel cared for as a guest. Whether the Drinks and food are all highly recommended. Not to mention the staff, everything was great and therefore 5 stars, we will definitely be back.

We wanted a spontaneous lunch and were lucky to get a table. The food was very tasty and sufficient, the staff courteous and helpful. We can recommend it!!!

Where can I start? About the wrong quality/price ratio? From bad service? Or from the confusing surroundings? The restaurant took in more people than it could serve. The food disappointed my expectations. Never again.

We spontaneously stopped in for dinner and got a table for an hour. The place is suitable for people with a walker, there is only a small step at the entrance, toilets are at ground level. Service was very nice and attentive.

On November 9th, 2024, we were in the Ratskeller and wanted to go out for dinner. We sat down at one with no indication that the table was reserved. The waiter asked us to go and the table was reserved. He didn't offer us another table either. We then went to the Stadtwirtschaft Burgstraße restaurant and were warmly welcomed. The Ratskeller is not recommended.

Very nice restaurant, in a rustic atmosphere. The food tasted very good. The beef goulash was perfect. The waffle for dessert was also very tasty. We'd love to come back.

Drinking coffee was good, cake tasted good.

We were in this restaurant yesterday for a seminar group meeting. It was great, especially the waiter from Decin gave us excellent service. A big thank you from us 14 women.

Sorry, I probably slipped up when rating. I wasn't even aware that I had left a review. I'm very, very sorry about that. I really enjoyed my visit overall. Everything was fine. Simply great! I really wanted to express that. We'd love to come back. In any case, I would happily recommend it. Sorry again.

Haven't been here for a long time, interesting menu and the Ratsherrenschnitzel was excellent

Very tasty food! I had a pork schnitzel, which was very good value for money. For such a historic place, I still found the ambience very lacking; To me it felt more like an ordinary restaurant than a "place to be".

Wir hatten reserviert, waren aber aufgrund des Wetters schon 2 Stunden vorfristig da. Man fand für uns einen schönen Tisch. Obwohl das Lokal absolut ausgebucht war, erfolgte die Bedienung flott und sehr freundlich. Das Essen war herausragend gut. Wir hatten uns für die Rinderroulade und das überbackene Schnitzel entschieden. Für uns eine klare Empfehlung:

We ordered a buffet for 40 people at the Ratskeller Freiberg for our wedding. The food was excellent, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. During the preparation, my wife and I called there “often” to make certain adjustments and changes, for example to the buffet or the number of guests. The staff, especially the boss, was very friendly and flexible, so that all of our wishes were fulfilled. Our guests were also very satisfied. Many thanks to the Ratskeller Freiberg team! We had dinner today on September 12th, 2024. We were welcomed very friendly, escorted to our reserved seats and served very politely. The food is very good and rich. Our waiter looked after us very courteously. The ambience is very good. I can only recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thank you for the very nice service. Best regards Ulrich Müller

Unfortunately, we were only assigned a cat table for 4 people, although several tables were supposedly reserved. They were not occupied until the end. A HIGH rejection rate 🤔 if that's true. The hall manager was already in the mood for the end of the day, which was evident from his overall behavior, etc.! The food was impeccable!!! Too bad

On Sunday evening around 6.30 p.m. a waiter assigned us four adults a 90x90 table near the kitchen/bar, saying the remaining 40% free tables were reserved and a small delivery table was not possible. He would need this for any additional guests or to add to the reservations. The food we ordered came regardless of the indications of an allergy and had to be returned for an exchange. The reserved, unoccupied tables remained empty until we paid after 9 p.m. The waiter was no longer seen and the second waitress supported her colleague. It had the impression of attracting western tourists. We will publicize this behavior through our regional relatives and publications. It is unacceptable to practice such behavior towards customers directly at the 1st place on Obermarkt and then under "Ratskeller".

We had lunch in the Ratskeller on Sunday August 11th. Everything was great, the food was great and the waiters were top notch. Portions were sufficient, especially with the salad plate with turkey strips, the garlic dressing was simply fabulous.

Unfortunately we were actually a bit disappointed... There were three people of different ages and unfortunately discovered independently of each other that the food wasn't great. Everything was edible... but the heibut was bland, the salad was okay and the chanterelles with fried potatoes weren't really that tasty either... But luckily tastes differ and the staff were friendly. It will definitely get better 👍 PS: The design of the restaurant is very loving 👍

Hier haben wir mit 30 Personen den Tag ausklingen lassen und unser Abendessen gegessen. Europäische Küche, sehr lecker. Personal sehr freundlich, Essen kam auf den Punkt, so dass wir alle gemeinsam essen konnten. Es gab auch eine Kinderkarte. Der Ratskeller ist zentral gelegen, in der Altstadt von Freiberg und gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Kinderfreundlich. Auf jedem unserer Teller war ein handgeschriebenes Zettelchen aus der Küche. Das fanden wir eine tolle Idee und zauberte uns ein Lächeln ins Gesicht. Eine wirklich nette Geste.

Hello everyone We were welcomed at the entrance on time and led to our pre-booked table. The waitress came straight away and took the order. The food tasted really good. I Can only recommend the Ratskeller. We'd love to come back.

We came here just for a couple of beers in the late afternoon. Service was profesional, beer was good, atmosphere was authentic and nice...

The Erzgebirge ambience with the pretty details from the life of the miners is very appealing. The menu is extensive, the selection is large and the food is extremely tasty. The service is excellent, the staff are very friendly, and the price-performance ratio is right. What more does the guest want!

A great restaurant also in terms of ambience. We were there with a group of 14 people and reservations were made easily via email. The food was great and so was the service. Should we be in Freiberg again next year, the Ratskeller will definitely be a point of contact again. We recommend

One of the employees there was very rude to me and told me that next time I would have to use the entrance from the bar, even though the side entrance to the Ratskeller is clearly signposted as the entrance for the Stammessen. If it is undesirable to continue using this entrance, you should dismantle the entrance sign again, and if you don't have time for that or have forgotten it, then you can at least point it out to the guest in a friendly manner instead of treating them in such a derogatory manner. Answer: There is a sign on the door that clearly states that this is the entrance for the tribal meal. They have this hanging there during the corona pandemic. If you don't take the sign down again, I won't know that this entrance is no longer open to guests. Plus they were NOT friendly AT ALL! They were very RUDE AND CONTESTING! They told me in a really outrageously strict tone of command to use the other entrance next time and did NOT point it out in a friendly way!

Good, recommended restaurant with a great ambience. Delicious food with not overpriced prices. Rustic, as a Ratskeller should be.

Very tasty food great service Prices are okay

Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for food (with a child) and no attention was paid to the glasses in order to get something new to drink or something like that. When we asked about lunch it came a quarter of an hour later. The food itself tasted very tasty but unfortunately it was lukewarm too. It was a shame.

My husband and I came there at short notice today and were lucky enough to get a table for Valentine's Day. The staff were all very friendly to us. What we ordered was also very tasty. We found the little pieces of paper on the edge of the plate very cute. If we're ever in the area again, we'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, the kitchen closed far too early on Friday because I would have liked to try the kale and staying after 10:30 p.m. wasn't possible - a shame. This restaurant, in this location, has more potential.

I was here on January 9th, 2024. My companion was homeless, you could obviously tell. I asked if we were allowed in and the answer was yes and no problem. So we ordered food and there was a sticky note on my companion's plate that said “very good middle class” which I actually find to be shameful and discriminatory. After all, we paid too. That kind of thing disappoints me. Never again

Nice ambience, delicious and visually appealing food, courteous staff, reasonable prices

In the Ratskeller you can have really good, traditional food! Everything is definitely home-cooked and you can feel that immediately in the taste. The roulade is particularly recommended! The dumplings are to die for! The atmosphere is very cozy, especially at Christmas time.

Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war sehr lecker und wurde toll angerichtet. Keine lange Wartezeit obwohl es sehr gut besucht war. Wirklich zu empfehlen.

Ein wunderbar rustikales Restaurant wie es sie zu wenig in Freiberg gibt. Essen und Service sehr gut, man fühlt sich wohl. Einzig der Preis lässt den fünften Stern fehlen. Hier in der Region, sind Preise in Restaurants einfach zu hoch. Nicht nur im Ratskeller.

Hier isst man noch zu fairen Preisen, das Essen war sehr lecker...Bedienung freundlich...wir kommen gerne wieder und können den Ratskeller nur empfehlen.

Sehr urige Kneipe. Freundliches Personal. Aber ein Ragout fin für über 8 € ,sehr happig. Aber dafür ist ja unser lächelde Kanzler verantwortlich. Komme gerne wieder.

Es war ein sehr schöner Abend. Wir haben gut gegessen. Preis war in Ordnung. Kellner war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Die Speisen waren lecker, aber 50 Minuten von der Bestellung bis zu zum servieren ist zu viel.

Einfach Bombe. Auch wenn wir auf einen kleinen Makel hinweisen mussten, blieb die Bedienung zuvorkommend und freundlich und war sehr bemüht eine Lösung zu finden. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist völlig in Ordnung.

WIR SIND MEHR ALS ZUFRIEDEN, WIR SIND BEGEISTERT! Es ist schön zusehen, dass ein Restaurant zum Montagmittag voll besetzte Tische hat. Der Service war freundlich, kompetent und strahlte absolute Ruhe aus. Wir würden es jedem empfehlen rechtzeitig einen Tisch zu reservieren. Gerade in der Weihnachtszeit gibt es eine hohe Nachfrage, da der Weihnachtsmarkt direkt vor der Tür vom Ratskeller liegt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Selten so gut gegessen, es war die perfekte Portion und es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Ganze wurde von nettem Service abgerundet. Absolut empfehlenswert
