Schwalbe II Restaurant in Greifswald

The restaurant is quite OK. The service seems to have been carried out by the chef himself, who was friendly at first but couldn't take any criticism, as the food was simply bad.

This restaurant has a very nice location. The service was initially okay, but after the review, it deteriorated into arrogance and audacity. The price/performance ratio isn't good for me. Pasta with salmon and cream sauce was spaghetti with salmon that had died for the second time and a ready-made sauce. A little less seasoning is fine for me.

The staff is very unfriendly and unable to communicate. There was something in my food that didn't belong there, and when I asked about it, they just said "OK," no apology, or anything else... (pasta with scampi). The fish was also very dry and bland. For me and the people I was with, this will be the first and last time.

"I'll be with you right away," were the waiter's last words. After he walked past our table five more times, avoiding eye contact as much as possible, we moved on. So we can't judge the quality of the food; in any case, there's no such thing as service.

As some have already said: not recommended in my opinion.

You can eat on the cutter at a reasonable price. The food was good, although it sometimes took a while to arrive. The portions were always sufficient.

The food was absolutely terrible, and we left hungry. The service was poor, difficult to understand, and lackluster. The fried potatoes were more like boiled potatoes, swimming in fat and flavored with spices. The bottled remoulade simply tasted like mayonnaise. The fried egg was black on the bottom, and we found eggshells sticking to it. The schnitzel was very dry and unseasoned. The salad that was supposed to be served consisted of just a small patch of iceberg lettuce with watery bottled sauce. My ginger ale was completely non-carbonated. Drinks ordered from the menu were simply changed without asking (I ordered a Jever fun and got a Bitburger). Overall, the portions were very small for the price. No card payments accepted!

I've rarely eaten such a bad meal. I ordered a Hamburg schnitzel with fried potatoes. Regarding the ingredients: the "fried potatoes" were more overcooked than fried. They were completely sticky. The schnitzel was simply fried to death, dry. The salad came with finely chopped iceberg lettuce, and to make it look more appealing, a dollop of sauce was smothered on top. A real waste of money. It could have been done better.

There's no question of classic fish specialties. Unloved herring fillets from a wholesale bucket, fried herring with remoulade (!), fried potatoes without any flair or seasoning – we expected much more on a "fishing boat"! 😪 Very, very rustic furniture on board. Dubious payment by card on the waiter's smartphone! Just paperwork without a cash register or receipt! 🤔

The drinks and food were delivered quickly. The staff was friendly. The food itself was plentiful and the prices were fair.

Delicious food, very good service. We always enjoy coming back. Yesterday we ate here again for the first time in the new season (2025) and it was really good again.

Not recommended, the fries weren't cooked through, but the schnitzel came out of the deep fryer rather dark. Ordered rhubarb juice and got mango juice. Unfortunately I won't be coming back.

The best mulled wine that day and at exactly the right time. We were just here after the city tour and the mulled wine was delicious. We didn't eat anything, but there was also bratwurst on offer

The beer was okay. The food is not worth mentioning. The plus point is the great place by the water. The service was nice and quick. But that was it.

I was there for the first time today, well filled plate. We were all really full and it tasted really good too. We'd love to come back.

We had ordered plaice fillet and salmon with fried potatoes and were very disappointed when we saw them. The smallest plaice I've ever had and the fried potatoes, no bacon, no onions, totally simple and loveless. Everything is completely tasteless, as is the salmon and the mini portions. That too for €17.90 each. A real impudence. Pure tourist rip-off.

The Schwalbe 2 is a beautiful boat. You can eat on board and on the quay wall. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasty and the drinks came to our table quickly. The cocktails were very well mixed. The beer was delicious and the food came in large portions. We'd love to come back.

I was there for dinner with my wife today, the food was very good and the food was changed to suit my needs, the little conversations with the owner were also very nice, I can really recommend this ship restaurant!

I had pasta with scampi. You can't say anything about scampi, but you can say nothing about spaghetti full of butter. Too much fat. Please try harder. I have also eaten other dishes from you. The kitchen has to work, that's your source of money.

A nice ship restaurant in the museum harbor. Service was very attentive and friendly, the food was very tasty. Price/performance TOP👍🏽 Finally there was a nightcap on the house. We had a very nice stay.

We ate very well. Seafood freshly prepared. Price-performance ratio very good. The strawberry cake was also great, the service was very friendly and we even got an espresso on the house. It doesn't get any better.

Early October, evening, 20 degrees outside temperature; I felt like I was on the Mediterranean.

You're stuck to the table and basic cleaning is urgently needed. The hygiene in the kitchen is terrible. Apparently the food preparer doesn't know what to wear with gloves. Before 2019, we felt comfortable there and it was always a must-stop on our journey north.

Small but fine selection of cakes in a nice atmosphere with friendly service.

Wirklich topp! Trotz teilweisem Nieselregen einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt gehabt, Danke!

Haben uns die Stadt Greifswald während unseres Urlaubs angeschaut. Ein tolles Restaurant mit sehr leckerem Essen und freundlichem Personal. Unseren Hund durften wir auch mit auf das Boot nehmen.

Essen war Gut. Atmosphere war wundervoll. Personal freundlich. Musik für ein Restaurant ein wenig zu Laut.

Friteusen ,,Bratkartoffeln" zu hohem Preis. Unfreundliche Bedienung. Das Bier wird mit 1/3 Schaum serviert. Unterm Strich eher ein Bahnhofsimbiss mit nettem Ambiente.

leider hat der Besitzer gewechselt und sie haben nicht mehr die lecker Fischsuppe. auch erinnert mich die Speisekarte am Tisch nicht wirklich mehr an ein fisch Restaurant. und der Kellner war leider auch überlastet

Das Essen ist super lecker und für den Preis wirklich top. Ich hatte einen Fischburger mit Pommes und ein großes Alster und habe zusammen 12 Euro bezahlt. Das Personal war nett und freundlich sowie die Qualität des Essens wirklich überzeugend. Fazit: sehr lecker!

Haben dort Hamburger Schnitzel (mit Spiegelei), 1x mit Bratkartoffeln und 1x mit Pommes und als drittes Gericht Garnelen in Sahnesoße mit Knobi und Champignons gegessen und auch dabei was getrunken. Alles Tip Top! Hinterher 3 Espressi auf Kosten des Hauses. Preis, Service und alles andere waren lobenswert! Zum verweilen eine gute Adresse! 👍🏻

Geld bezahlen zu müssen für solch unterklassigen Fisch ist dreißt, besonders wenn das Trinkgeld beim bezahlen einfach einbehalten wird, obwohl es auf kleinsten Fall angebracht worden wäre. Ich gebe den 2. Stern nur für das angenehme Ambiente.

Heute gab es Lachs mit Bratkartoffeln in der Schwalbe II im Hafen Greifswald. Ein tolles Plätzchen in der Sonne, der Kellner war höflich und das Essen lecker und schnell auf dem Tisch. Auf Nachfrage bekommt man auch den Schlüssel für die gegenüber liegende Toilette. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es wegen der sehr lauten Musik, die irgendwie für mich nicht recht zum Ambiente passte. Ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen. Ich komme gern wieder.

Die Burger sind sehr lecker und auch der Backfisch war sein Geld wert.

We were strolling around Saturday and found this boat restaurant. Staff very friendly. The hamburgers were delicious. Food came fast. The kids loved it. We will definitely be going back there again.

Im Museumshafen Greifswald liegt das Restaurant Schwalbe 2, das allerdings nur an der Aufschrift am Heck zu erkennen ist. Die Tische sind an Land und zum Teil unter Sonnenschirmen. Der Service war schnell und freundlich. Eine Extraportion Ketchup wurde nachbestellt, fix gebracht und obendrein nicht berechnet. Das Essen war sehr gut - besonders auffällig war, dass z.B. Nuggets oder Backfisch nicht „zu Tode frittiert“ waren, sondern angenehm und trotzdem nicht trocken. Der Salat war frisch. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

Ich hatte einen sehr leckeren Burger mit gut frittierten und auch leckeren, vielen Pommes. Sehr zu empfehlen

Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt: alles war frisch und Portionen reichhaltig. Bedienung war auch nett und flott.

Wir haben zwei sehr leckere Burger mit Pommes bekommen, auch der Kaffee war sehr gut. Dies alles zu sehr guten Preisen von einem freundlichen Personal serviert. Und verbunden mit einer guten Sicht auf die Altstadt von Greifswald hat es zu einem sehr guten Erlebnis gemacht.

2 Sterne da es geschmeckt hat. Aber: Vielleicht haben wir nur einen schlechten Tag des Restaurants erwischt, aber nur eine Kellnerin für ein voll belegtes Restaurant geht nicht. Die Wartezeiten waren enorm hoch, Bestellungen wurden vergessen und ein Gerichte fehlte. Wurde selbstverständlich nachgereicht, allerdings als "Kinderportion" bei vollem Preis. Schade.
