Very nice, modern restaurant with really nice restrooms! The broiler chickens are delicious 😋, nice and big, and really tender 😋

I had a very good broiler burger. Crispy, light bread, juicy meat, crisp salad, and tasty sauces. I'd gladly go back!

I've been there several times, and it's a lovely location. The waiters are very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, with the best chicken variations—what more could you want? The wine selection is also excellent. It's sufficient for me, as a non-sommelier.

A very nice, stylish restaurant with good service and delicious, beautifully presented dishes, finally in a reasonable size. Not too little, not too much, as is unfortunately often the case.

The hand was beautifully tender and still slightly juicy. Not like the grilled fried ribs. Friendly and informative staff. The atmosphere is cozy, with a bar counter. Very good value for money.

The sweet potato kumpir wasn't entirely convincing: lots of lettuce and not enough kumpir. The lettuce wasn't cleaned well, it was very dry... we had to reorder more dressing. There was only a little avocado, and it was in the salad and not in the kumpir as described on the menu. However, the service was friendly.

Take a classic GDR product, give it the appropriate name "Broiler," and serve it with potatoes and coleslaw. Add champagne for €95.00, or Crémant, or wine from Rheinhessen. Everyone knows that the best wine comes from Baden. The half chicken was delicious, as were the fries and coleslaw.

I was surprised by the size of the facility. Nice shop with friendly service.

Highly recommended, good food and friendly service

We visited the restaurant on a Thursday morning with three adults and two children. There aren't many main courses to choose from. The selection for vegetarians is quite limited. Main courses cost between €15.00 and €20.00. Drinks are very expensive. A large bottle of water costs €8.00. The service was attentive. When paying by card, they offer a tip of €5, €10, or 20%. I find the jump between €5 and €10 a bit high. And believe me, I think a 20% tip is ambitious. The terrace is great. There's always something to see.

Booked a table about 6 hours in advance - no wait; very friendly welcome and incredibly good service! Ordered the "table service" option; a very extensive and varied selection and really good for those with a really big appetite (at least 3-4 people can sit), even if you're drinking. Top value for money. Top value. Top value. You don't go out to eat every night... As for the noise level, we think we were lucky, as the market in Greifswald was busier at that time! I don't know if it's full!

The three of us ate at the Joho Broiler Bar in Greifswald and were completely impressed! The seasonal asparagus menu immediately won us over – we had asparagus with schnitzel or fish, and everything was prepared to perfection. The service was also outstanding: attentive, friendly, and always making sure we didn't miss anything. They asked us several times if everything was okay and if we had any requests – that's exactly what good service should be. A delicious experience with a feel-good atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

I had the Froh-Natur Burger. Patty is frozen and not freshly made. The avocado was barely there and the roll was by no means fresh but at least from yesterday. €15.50 without any side dish - not a good price. Even the nice presentation and purchased BBQ sauce couldn't save much Too bad. The staff was friendly and I actually really like the atmosphere.

We had the currywurst and the broiler burger. For just under €19 the burger came alone without any side dishes. Charging €20 for a burger with a side dish is really extortionate. There was too much coleslaw on the burger. The thing was attractive but even more inconvenient to eat. The currywurst was said to be ok, but the portion was said to have been too small. The currywurst from the university cafeteria tastes better, but it's also really good. The fries with truffle sauce were again really tasty. The drink was only 0.2ml of cola. People know how they can ever make money because it was empty before the food even came...well. The food came quite quickly, probably because it is emptier on a weekday lunchtime. Service was ok, relaxed guy. Ambience ok too. Overall, the location resembles a “millennial Tik-Tok restaurant” that fulfills these clichés. 2.6 stars

No, not really for me it was a disaster

We spontaneously went out to eat. We had broiler and currywurst. The food tasted very good. The employee was very friendly. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. Thank you

The chicken was tough and took forever

“All good things come in threes,” I have now been to this restaurant JOHO Greifswald for the third time. My hope was that something would happen after this time.... Unfortunately I was disappointed again. The ambience is great, the side dishes and fries are delicious. What's not possible is "The Broiler" actually the flagship of this restaurant. The poultry is just bland, tough and tasteless... what's so difficult to offer a broiler that is delicious. Mix a little salt/paprika in oil, So rub the chicken nicely and the miracle dish is ready. Isn't that really a problem? I'm not surprised that there are only six people there at 6 p.m. A simple chicken broth Egg flakes is certainly not rocket science. Such a pleasant restaurant and fails to live up to its name. It's just a shame....

Great coincidence next to our parking garage! Tuesdays 6 p.m. without reservation. Nice service, pleasant background noise (no loud music). And above all, super delicious food!! The burger with pulled chicken, coleslaw, incredible sauce, crunchy onions and a very good bun 😋, on top colored sprouts. Absolute recommendation!!

We had half a broiler and the currywurst. Both very tasty. Friendly staff, reasonably quick service. It's a shame it's so far away. We have made a note of it for when we are in the region again.

On Friday evening the three of us visited Jonas Holz. We were placed on the upper floor, where the furnishings are rather simple. We ordered a crispy chicken, a chicken burger and a salad, accompanied by selected drinks. Unfortunately, we found that we had to wait almost an hour for our food. Regarding the dishes, the crispy chicken was largely disappointing as it was by no means crispy, but rather flaky and tough. The side dish, salted potato wedges, had a noticeable excess of salt, and the coleslaw was barely noticeable. The chicken burger was so drenched in sauce that it obscured the flavor of the chicken. The salad was also served with an excessive amount of dressing. Overall, we cannot recommend JoHo because the quality of the food did not meet our expectations.

We love the place. The staff is super friendly, the food is delicious and everything is clean. We recommend it to our holiday guests who visit our apartments on Rügen.

We were there for the first time. We really liked the atmosphere. However, we were disappointed with the perennial favorite, 1/2 broiler with side dishes. Both were undercooked, so it was still bloody and difficult to pull off the bone. We also had the chicken nuggets, which I also get in the supermarket. The plates looked cool, but way too small for the broilers.

A very relaxed and well thought-out room concept where you can also have a good chat. This means that the noise level is not excessively high. A slightly different concept and very tasty. Would love to come back.

Despite the skeptical opinions, I was now completely unbiased about JOHO and was pleasantly surprised. The food was significantly more than expected (1/2 chicken without any additional side dish). As a starter we shared the bruschetta (?). Here there was too little bread compared to the sauce. But it was very tasty. Compliment. Only the service was a bit confusing despite the small audience.

The staff was very friendly and overall the store seemed pleasant. The food was ok, the broiler was quite dry, but well seasoned. What was terrible, however, was that the underside of our plates was completely stuck with ketchup; even on the second attempt, one plate was still dirty. That's not possible - we were under massive time pressure and hungry, otherwise we would have left.

We had lunch on July 10th at 12 p.m. The waiter was very rude. Unfortunately our broiler wasn't completely cooked! When we pointed this out to the waiter, he wasn't interested at all! What a shame!

We had a very good meal here today. The portions are really big. Particularly the half broiler. The ColeSlaw is vegan and made without cream. Delicious! Also the house sauce. Service totally friendly. We sat outside, but it also looks very cozy inside.

The JOHO Broiler Bar in Greifswald is part of a chain that operates branches in the Baltic Sea resort of Zingst and Warnemünde. In the other branches the broiler was always perfect. It would have taken him 5 minutes longer here. The brown skin, deceptive by spices. But, as in the other branches, the service staff is very friendly and the restaurant makes a very clean impression.

Really liked the food, especially chicken and sweet potatoes. Definitely can recommend.

OK for food. The currywurst could be crunchier and spicier. A little more sauce wouldn't be bad. Why don't you get olives, chips or peanuts with the Aperol Spritz? In Italy this is standard and free. Either make the drinks a little more expensive or charge for the snacks. You need something small to eat with your drink. You also call yourself a bar. The location is very nice in front of the museum and everything is very inviting.

Switched to Plörre from the Carlsberg Group (at inflated prices, 5.20 euros/0.5).

Das Ambiente ist schön schön, aber das Essen ist mies und überteuert. Auch die Getränke sind teuer. Ich habe noch nie für eine 0,4 Cola 7€ zahlen müssen. Für das Geld gibt es auch nur sehr wenig Essen. Hübsch angerichtet, aber lecker ist was anderes. Die Pommes waren total versalzen, aber das schlimmste und enttäuschenste war der Broiler. Das war wohl der mieseste Broiler, den ich je gegessen habe. Die Haut total lapprig und wabbelig, kaum gewürzt und durchwachsen. Von der Minigröße mal abgesehen. Man bekommt es runter, aber das war echt ein enttäuschender Besuch. Auch, dass die Tische nicht abgewischt waren, obwohl das Restaurant fast leer war..... Vielleicht sind andere Gerichte dort lecker, aber in einer Broilerbar sollte der Broiler auch gut sein.

After an eventful day trip to Rügen, we had dinner on the way back, typically grilled broiler with fries and salad. Tasted excellent. Service was very good, polite and attentive. The location is simply practical - there is direct access to the restaurant from the underground car park at the market. The equipment was appropriate and functional. We felt very comfortable. The price-performance ratio is right. We had already had good experiences with Joho in Zingst. We can recommend it.

First of all, there are no good parking options here. The food looked good but unfortunately didn't taste good. The chicken smelled strongly and that made it difficult to eat. The ice cream was also a disappointment. For example, bananas are advertised on the menu. But you got a banana-chocolate ice cream. Instead of lemon, lemon ice cream with basil. Only the fries and salads taste good. The table was not cleared. So we had to somehow squeeze the ice cream onto the already full table. A pity.

The food was rather mediocre. Price/performance is not right in my opinion. I liked the atmosphere. The staff was also friendly and helpful.

Freundlicher zuvorkommender Service. Das Essen was schmackhaft und wir mussten auch nicht lange warten.

Die Hähnchen/Broiler sind sehr trocken. Wir waren seit der Eröffnung 8 mal da, mit gleichem Ergebnis. Beim letzten Essen habe ich mich für die Hähnchenbrust entschieden, auch die war trocken. Qualitativ weit von der Broilerbar im Hotel Neptun entfernt.

Der Service und das Ambiente waren super, das Essen im Grunde solide nur das Aushängeschild eben das Gericht wofür Joho steht war leider garnichts. Der halbe Broiler war mir persönlich vom Fleisch noch viel zu fest und die Haut so labberig als wäre dieser gerade aus dem Dampfgarer gekommen.

Das JOHO ist für mich und meine Familie die erste Adresse wenn wir in Greifswald sind. Hier kann man noch richtig gute Broiler essen, mit knuspriger Haut und zartem, saftigem Fleisch. Dazu gibt es sehr gute Trüffelpommes und eine reichhaltige Palette an sehr guten Bieren und anderen Getränken. So professionell wie die Küche die Speisen bereitet gibt sich auch Bedienung, immer ein freundliches Lächeln auf den Lippen und für ein kurzes, nettes Gespräch aufgelegt. Das Ambiente ist sehr modern und sauber, hier fühlt man sich sofort wohl und gut umsorgt. Danke noch einmal an das JOHO Team für die netten Abende mit einer einzigartigen kulinarischen Kombination aus traditionellem Broiler und modern angerichteten Beilagen.

Wir waren zu dritt hier und obwohl der Laden voll war kamen die Getränke schnell und das Essen war lecker. Gerne wieder !

Wir waren ebenfalls am verkaufsoffenen Sonntag dort. Es waren viele Gäste da und die Bedienung war allein. Somit kam es zu langen Wartezeiten, viele Gäste sind wieder gegangen. Offenbar wurde personell für einen solchen Tag komplett falsch geplant und die Bedienung und der Koch wurden von ihrem Chef allein gelassen. Gerade von einer regionalen Kette hätte ich da mehr Weitsicht erwartet. Dass die Bedienung trotzdem so freundlich und zuvorkommend war, ist bewundernswert. Die Kritik richtet sich also nicht an sie.

Hatten Sonntag 12 Uhr für 2 Personen reserviert, wurden auch nach Draußen von der Kellnerin begleitet. Dann passierte 15 Minuten nichts und wir sind gegangen.
