JOHO Broiler Bar in Greifswald

Das Essen war bis jetzt immer sehr gut, der Service auch immer engagiert. Leider stimmt die Angabe zum Küchenschluss auf der Website nicht. Dort ist 21.30 Uhr angegeben. Als wir an einem Samstag Abend um 20.45 Uhr speisen wollten, wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass die Küche bereits geschlossen hat und man nach Bedarf entscheidet. Das Restaurant war immer noch gut besucht zu der Zeit. Für uns als Stammgäste, welche fast immer mit Vorspeise bestellen und auch mehr als ein Gläschen trinken, sehr enttäuschend.

Rutschfestes Besteck 🍴 Getränke Glaser sehr gut zu halten (ich esse Broiler mit den Händen) Trotz Hunger habe ich den halben Broiler nicht aufgegessen bekommen Die Beilagen waren reichlich und schmeckten alle sehr gut Die Haus eigene Sauce war der Hammer zu den Gericht 👌Die Mayonnaise hatte etwas besser sein können war aber auch in Ordnung Das Lokal war sehr einladend wir haben ein tollen Aufenthalt dort gehabt Das Essen hat 15. Minuten gedauert und war sehr heiß 👍 Die Acker Fitten (Pommes) waren 🔝 Der Salat hat sehr gut geschmeckt Die Raucher unter uns können die Zeit auf der Terrasse verbringen bis das Essen fertig ist 😉 Die WC 🚾 sind alle sehr sauber (eine Etage höher)👍 Vom Parkhaus zum Lokal ist es 5 Minuten (die Treppe hoch)die Gebühr ist nicht so hoch wir haben im Urlaub nach Broiler gesucht und sin von Usedom 1. 20 Minuten gefahren für das Essen und haben es wahrhaft nicht bereut 🥹👌👍

Moin. Ich hatte einen "gerupften" Broilerburger-einfach lecker. Sehr schöne Broilerbar,kann ich nur empfehlen.

War jetzt mehrfach dort und muss sagen es sah immer sehr ansprechend aus und hat geschmeckt. Preis /Leistung stimmen hier total.

In der Joho Broiler Bar war ich bereits in kleiner sowie in großer Runde mit und ohne Reservierung zum speisen und trinken. Nach betreten des Restaurants lässt eine freundliche Begrüßung nicht lang auf sich warten. Der Service ist besonders aufmerksam und begleitet einem zum Tisch. Kennerisch werden hier individuelle Empfehlungen ausgesprochen und serviert. Das Essen, egal welches - ist ein Gedicht. Es gibt eine feste Karte und saisonale Speisen. Was sich auf der Karte simpel anhört, wird an Zutaten darüber hinaus und in perfekter Symbiose gewürzt, serviert. Ich vermute, dass sich in der Küche ein 5-Sterne Koch versteckt. Das Getränkeangebot empfinde ich als ausgewählt, sowie für jung und alt geeignet. Am liebsten mag ich dort den Sarti Lemon Spritz. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich in braun und schwarztönen gehalten - Pflanzen und indirekte Beleuchtung geben einen modernen warmen Flair. Das Restaurant verfügt über eine obere Etage mit zweiter Bar, einen gesonderten geschlossenem Raum sowie eine Außenterrasse. Für mich ist die Joho Broiler Bar in Greifswald ein absoluter Geheimtipp für die Preisklasse.

Wir besuchten heute die Joho Broilerbar. 👍🏻In der Spargelzeit hatten wir natürlich Schnitzel mit Spargel gegessen. War gespannt auf den Spargel, ob der wohl gut gut geschält war. Ohhhh jaaaaa, war er. 😁😁😁😁Großes Lob an die Küche. 😁🫶🏻Mmmm war das alles lecker. 😋 Die Bedienung war auch wie immer der absolute Hammer. Super freundlich, immer ein Lächeln aufs Gesicht, einfach professionell. Das Restaurant ist auch gemütlich und wunderschön. Kurz und knapp, ich war sehr zufrieden dort. Macht weiter so.👍🏻 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Das Essen war mega lecker!!! Das Schnitzel so zart, die Kartoffeln waren geschmacklich auch richtig lecker. Und der Spargel auf den Punkt gegart. Ein großes Lob an den Koch.

Wir waren schon mehrfach da und immer war der Service ausgenommen freundlich und aufmerksam, geht nicht-gib's nicht, egal warum es geht: Tische rücken, Hund unterm Tisch, das Essen ganz anders bestellen als auf der Karte, immer kommt ein freundliches: natürlich geht das. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Die Portion war ordentlich, die Rippchen waren außergewöhnlich zart und fielen fast von selbst vom Knochen, die Beilagen waren gut. Das Dessert war eine Überraschung und ging aufs Haus, schmeckte aber köstlich mit einer herrlich karamellisierten Crème Brûlée. Der Service war hervorragend, und die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich.

Dieses Restaurant hat eine sehr schöne Lage und eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Ich habe das halbe Brathähnchen probiert, das perfekt zubereitet und sehr schmackhaft war. Die Kartoffeln waren außen knusprig und innen weich, der Krautsalat frisch und der Tee sehr lecker. Insgesamt war es ein gutes Essen mit ordentlichen Beilagen, und die Bedienung war höflich und hilfsbereit. Ein angenehmer Ort für ein entspanntes Mittag- oder Abendessen.

Das Essen war gut, leider war der Service ziemlich schlecht. Die Kellner waren sichtlich unmotiviert und liefen sogar während die Bestellung noch aufgegeben wurde bereits davon, obwohl das Restaurant nicht besonders voll war. Auf leere Gläser achteten sie ebenfalls nicht, sodass sie sich eine Menge Einnahmen haben entgehen lassen. Schade, vielleicht hatten sie ja nur einen schlechten Tag, aber so geht es nicht.

Das Hähnchen war in Ordnung, etwas trocken und nicht ausreichend mariniert. Die Kartoffeln waren ausgezeichnet. Der Service war gut. Zwei Sterne gibt es, weil man nicht mit Karte zahlen konnte und nur bar bezahlen konnte.

Der Service war sehr freundlich, obwohl die Kellnerin sich nicht wohl fühlte. Dass man Englisch sprach, war ein großes Plus, da das in Deutschland nicht immer selbstverständlich ist. ;) Das Hähnchen und die Pommes waren erstklassig. Die Beilagen waren sehr lecker. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. ☺️

The atmosphere was modern and stylish, the staff was polite and friendly, but I ordered chicken breast with sweet potatoes and salad. The chicken breast was small enough to be a child's meal and had a lot of spices. My wife ordered a Caesar salad, which was a small salad without chicken, just vegetables and plenty of mayo. The price, including the tip, was high in my opinion at 38 euros and not worth it.

We had eaten at this restaurant a few times when it first opened two years ago and weren't satisfied: small portions, limited selection, and high prices. This year, we decided to give it another chance (actually, more than one), coinciding with summer and our dear friend Caspar's birthday. We were pleasantly surprised: the meat was well-prepared, the portions were generous but not excessive, the selection was varied, and the prices were reasonable. The staff was friendly and multilingual, which is always a plus. We will definitely go back.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, very friendly service. Definitely worth recommending. We had a large platter for two and a fantastic lava cake for dessert. We'll gladly come back again next time we're in Greifswald.

Absolutely delicious every time! Aside from the excellent roast chicken, there's also a good selection of vegetarian dishes. The service is quick, and the seating on the first floor is lovely, with a view of the State Museum and the city walls. The opening hours and location are perfect.

The chicken was a bit tough, but the fries were excellent...friendly and unobtrusive service...in short: the price-performance ratio is still right here.

An interesting concept, very well executed. It's definitely worth a visit.

The value for money is excellent. The food arrived quickly, and they were very accommodating with special requests. One minor point of criticism: During several visits, the waiters rarely came by to a) ask if everything was alright and b) ask if we wanted anything else to drink. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit to the Broiler Bar.

My wife and I had lunch here today. It was sensational. We each had half a duck, one with potatoes and one with dumplings. The red cabbage was just like Grandma's. I expect we'll be having a few more ducks here in the future.

The Broiler Bar JOHO in Greifswald is absolutely fantastic! The food is fresh, delicious, and always perfectly prepared – the chicken is especially amazing! 😋 The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. You can tell they work with love and passion. Whether for a quick lunch or a cozy evening – I'll definitely be back! 👍

The food tastes good, but €15 for currywurst and fries is a bit steep, or €18 for a quarter of a roast chicken with a side dish 🤷 Well, we were just passing through, but personally I wouldn't go back; that's highway robbery.

We really liked the Joho Broiler Bar. There's a parking garage just around the corner, easily accessible via an elevator for wheelchair users, as is the entrance to the Broiler Bar. The food was great, the broiler was just right, and the fries were super tasty and, above all, not too greasy. The service was also very friendly, and we didn't have to wait too long. In short, the Broiler Bar is highly recommended, but it's best to make a reservation.

I had a very good broiler burger. Crispy, light bread, juicy meat, crisp salad, and tasty sauces. I'd gladly go back!

I've been there several times, and it's a lovely location. The waiters are very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, with the best chicken variations—what more could you want? The wine selection is also excellent. It's sufficient for me, as a non-sommelier.

A very nice, stylish restaurant with good service and delicious, beautifully presented dishes, finally in a reasonable size. Not too little, not too much, as is unfortunately often the case.

The hand was beautifully tender and still slightly juicy. Not like the grilled fried ribs. Friendly and informative staff. The atmosphere is cozy, with a bar counter. Very good value for money.

The sweet potato kumpir wasn't entirely convincing: lots of lettuce and not enough kumpir. The lettuce wasn't cleaned well, it was very dry... we had to reorder more dressing. There was only a little avocado, and it was in the salad and not in the kumpir as described on the menu. However, the service was friendly.

Take a classic GDR product, give it the appropriate name "Broiler," and serve it with potatoes and coleslaw. Add champagne for €95.00, or Crémant, or wine from Rheinhessen. Everyone knows that the best wine comes from Baden. The half chicken was delicious, as were the fries and coleslaw.

I was surprised by the size of the facility. Nice shop with friendly service.

Highly recommended, good food and friendly service

We visited the restaurant on a Thursday morning with three adults and two children. There aren't many main courses to choose from. The selection for vegetarians is quite limited. Main courses cost between €15.00 and €20.00. Drinks are very expensive. A large bottle of water costs €8.00. The service was attentive. When paying by card, they offer a tip of €5, €10, or 20%. I find the jump between €5 and €10 a bit high. And believe me, I think a 20% tip is ambitious. The terrace is great. There's always something to see.

Booked a table about 6 hours in advance - no wait; very friendly welcome and incredibly good service! Ordered the "table service" option; a very extensive and varied selection and really good for those with a really big appetite (at least 3-4 people can sit), even if you're drinking. Top value for money. Top value. Top value. You don't go out to eat every night... As for the noise level, we think we were lucky, as the market in Greifswald was busier at that time! I don't know if it's full!

The three of us ate at the Joho Broiler Bar in Greifswald and were completely impressed! The seasonal asparagus menu immediately won us over – we had asparagus with schnitzel or fish, and everything was prepared to perfection. The service was also outstanding: attentive, friendly, and always making sure we didn't miss anything. They asked us several times if everything was okay and if we had any requests – that's exactly what good service should be. A delicious experience with a feel-good atmosphere. I had the Froh-Natur Burger. Patty is frozen and not freshly made. The avocado was barely there and the roll was by no means fresh but at least from yesterday. €15.50 without any side dish - not a good price. Even the nice presentation and purchased BBQ sauce couldn't save much Too bad. The staff was friendly and I actually really like the atmosphere.

We had the currywurst and the broiler burger. For just under €19 the burger came alone without any side dishes. Charging €20 for a burger with a side dish is really extortionate. There was too much coleslaw on the burger. The thing was attractive but even more inconvenient to eat. The currywurst was said to be ok, but the portion was said to have been too small. The currywurst from the university cafeteria tastes better, but it's also really good. The fries with truffle sauce were again really tasty. The drink was only 0.2ml of cola. People know how they can ever make money because it was empty before the food even came...well. The food came quite quickly, probably because it is emptier on a weekday lunchtime. Service was ok, relaxed guy. Ambience ok too. Overall, the location resembles a “millennial Tik-Tok restaurant” that fulfills these clichés. 2.6 stars

No, not really for me it was a disaster

We spontaneously went out to eat. We had broiler and currywurst. The food tasted very good. The employee was very friendly. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. Thank you

The chicken was tough and took forever

“All good things come in threes,” I have now been to this restaurant JOHO Greifswald for the third time. My hope was that something would happen after this time.... Unfortunately I was disappointed again. The ambience is great, the side dishes and fries are delicious. What's not possible is "The Broiler" actually the flagship of this restaurant. The poultry is just bland, tough and tasteless... what's so difficult to offer a broiler that is delicious. Mix a little salt/paprika in oil, So rub the chicken nicely and the miracle dish is ready. Isn't that really a problem? I'm not surprised that there are only six people there at 6 p.m. A simple chicken broth Egg flakes is certainly not rocket science. Such a pleasant restaurant and fails to live up to its name. It's just a shame....

Great coincidence next to our parking garage! Tuesdays 6 p.m. without reservation. Nice service, pleasant background noise (no loud music). And above all, super delicious food!! The burger with pulled chicken, coleslaw, incredible sauce, crunchy onions and a very good bun 😋, on top colored sprouts. Absolute recommendation!!

We had half a broiler and the currywurst. Both very tasty. Friendly staff, reasonably quick service. It's a shame it's so far away. We have made a note of it for when we are in the region again.

On Friday evening the three of us visited Jonas Holz. We were placed on the upper floor, where the furnishings are rather simple. We ordered a crispy chicken, a chicken burger and a salad, accompanied by selected drinks. Unfortunately, we found that we had to wait almost an hour for our food. Regarding the dishes, the crispy chicken was largely disappointing as it was by no means crispy, but rather flaky and tough. The side dish, salted potato wedges, had a noticeable excess of salt, and the coleslaw was barely noticeable. The chicken burger was so drenched in sauce that it obscured the flavor of the chicken. The salad was also served with an excessive amount of dressing. Overall, we cannot recommend JoHo because the quality of the food did not meet our expectations.

We love the place. The staff is super friendly, the food is delicious and everything is clean. We recommend it to our holiday guests who visit our apartments on Rügen.

We were there for the first time. We really liked the atmosphere. However, we were disappointed with the perennial favorite, 1/2 broiler with side dishes. Both were undercooked, so it was still bloody and difficult to pull off the bone. We also had the chicken nuggets, which I also get in the supermarket. The plates looked cool, but way too small for the broilers.

A very relaxed and well thought-out room concept where you can also have a good chat. This means that the noise level is not excessively high. A slightly different concept and very tasty. Would love to come back.

Despite the skeptical opinions, I was now completely unbiased about JOHO and was pleasantly surprised. The food was significantly more than expected (1/2 chicken without any additional side dish). As a starter we shared the bruschetta (?). Here there was too little bread compared to the sauce. But it was very tasty. Compliment. Only the service was a bit confusing despite the small audience.

The staff was very friendly and overall the store seemed pleasant. The food was ok, the broiler was quite dry, but well seasoned. What was terrible, however, was that the underside of our plates was completely stuck with ketchup; even on the second attempt, one plate was still dirty. That's not possible - we were under massive time pressure and hungry, otherwise we would have left.
