Restaurant Nikos in Greifswald

We had dinner 2 weeks ago. We liked it better than the previous owner. Going with friends today and hope we get such great service and food again. The new owner told us that he will gradually renew the ambience.

Food was great, service was very friendly. Just cozy, the food doesn't take long to be on the table. Of course, if the hut is packed, you have to wait a bit because everything is freshly prepared. The salads are a poem 😊. So I always enjoy going to you. Keep it up

Really delicious food in good portions, but the building and the furnishings passed their peak 15 years ago and are in urgent need of renovation. It was also very cold and hardly comfortable. There was a misunderstanding when we ordered, so we had one dish too many. By the time we got someone back to the table to clarify it, it was almost too embarrassing... So you can still work on the service.

The second attempt after changing the operator was also sobering. It lost its charm and individuality. Good gastronomy depends on the cuisine and service. The ambience of the restaurant is of secondary importance; after the change of operator, the decoration was expanded somewhat. That was it and completely ok. Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated since the change of operator. You didn't really feel welcome. Stressed, annoyed-looking faces on the part of the employees, no smile at all or a forced smile was all I could observe that evening while operations were running. During my gastronomic training, we shouldn't have allowed ourselves to behave like that. They seemed cheerless in their job accomplished.In my opinion, the food has also gotten worse.I've been ordering the same dish for years. The taste was overly seasoned and no longer something that could be described as tasty. The seasoning has changed extremely. With my standard dish, everything was always well tolerated. This time I had a nice allergic reaction, which in most cases for me is triggered by certain spices/ingredients. Even if the food was well prepared for everyone, in terms of taste Everyone at the table was disappointed. Unfortunately it's just a Greek restaurant like any other, without any special charm or individuality.

It's rare to get so little meat from a Greek.. Pork fillet pan with 4 small slices of meat that weren't much larger than a 2€ piece.. The taste wasn't good either You can't call them fried potatoes either, rather fried potato slices without any seasoning. Rarely have I been so disappointed by a Greek restaurant

The worst meal ever... NEVER AGAIN... Have ordered! Food came 40 minutes later than expected. - it was so cold that we had to reheat it in the microwave and then it didn't taste good at all - Price performance doesn't work at all

The boss was already annoyed and told my youngest daughter that it wasn't his problem...I almost stopped spitting. That's when the mishap began. In total we waited over 2 hours for our food. We were ignored the entire time because new guests were served quickly and quickly. When our food finally came, some of it was already cold and it wasn't prepared the way it was on the menu. We pointed this out to the boss, who totally freaked out and even told some of my family members the door. I have never experienced anything so unfriendly and rude from a boss and I have been a waiter myself for over 6 years. We will only enter this store again when it has a new boss. That won't take long, as dozens of owners have already changed and this one will be even quicker as he tramples on his guests.

We go to Nikos regularly with the whole family. We are always super satisfied there. The entire staff puts in a lot of effort and is really friendly and welcoming. You immediately feel comfortable. The food is always delicious and special requests are always taken into account.

Super friendly service from the boss himself. The drinks were brought quickly. When asked, requests and changes to the main dishes were no problem. We definitely didn't skimp on ouzo either ;) Gladly again!

If I could give minus stars I would. We have been here for birthdays several years in a row. So far everything has always been fine. This time it was an absolute disaster. But the owner has probably changed too, I found out afterwards. Just one example of the evening: there were 20 of us, around 15 of us the drink orders were taken, then the waiter left. When asked if the others could also order drinks, his answer was: that's not his problem. The evening continued like this. Food arrived after more than two hours, some of it incorrect, was returned and the meat, including mushrooms, was thrown into the desired Metaxa sauce. Mind you, there are actually no mushrooms in the Metaxa sauce, but there are in the previously incorrectly delivered cream sauce. Simply disgusting. When I asked the waiter, I was asked what I didn't understand, what language I spoke, and then asked to the door. Very condescending and unfriendly. The boss was first denied and then he was there. The sad thing is that it was my mother's 60th birthday and now it can't be repeated. Nikos was great before, it's a shame it turned out this way. A restaurant that is closing soon.

We were here for years and it was always good and tasty. And today it couldn't have been worse...when a table of 20 was reserved for a 60th birthday, only 15 drinks were taken. When asked in a friendly manner about the other 5 guests, there was an aggressive "it's not my problem" from the waiter....after 45 minutes everyone at the table finally had something to drink....after 90 minutes the children at the table had their food and the adults had a small, in my opinion, measly salad and then the main courses followed 30 minutes later. ....partially delivered incorrectly with wrong side dishes.....when again asked in a friendly manner and asked about an exchange and a discussion that, in our words, ended with "we won't pay for that" ....the waiter exploded and tore took the plate out of our hands and told us to leave the restaurant with the words..."there's the door".... Portions sometimes too small for the prices....but that's a matter of opinion..... Under this owner....never again....

We had 4 dishes and 1 starter. The starter was served without asking until the main course. The salad beforehand is a small plate with a bit of iceberg lettuce, a hint of carrots, canned corn and watery dressing. There was a rump steak with broad beans and fried potatoes. The rump steak was juicy, the fried potatoes are unsalted, fried potato slices. Chicken pans with cream sauce, mushrooms, onions and peppers (according to the menu). The mushrooms were probably next to the pot, you could taste the peppers but didn't see them. Chicken meat was manageable. Plus croquettes. Crispy on the outside, still cold on the inside. After a complaint, the cut croquettes were taken away, thrown into the deep fryer and brought back again. The Nikos plate consists of a spoonful of gyros, 1 souvlaki skewer and lamb cutlet, which tasted as if fish had been fried in the pan at the same time. The croquettes were soft and quite cold, considering it was a freshly prepared dish. The gratinated gyros in Metaxa sauce was a disappointment. In terms of taste, the Metaxa sauce is a ketchup cream sauce. The fries weren't crispy either. The beer was unchilled.

Food is delicious, staff is very friendly

Positive: parking space in front of the door and two ouzo on the house. Negative: long waiting time for the main course (45 minutes) with three tables occupied. Giros was lukewarm and not crispy and the salad beforehand was simply with a watery marinade. Reasonably priced, but next time we'll go to another Greek place.

New Year's Eve 2023-24 with compromises Positive: The restaurant was not as crowded as in previous years. The main course was quite tasty and sufficient. There were two courses, salad and a meat or fish plate. Negative: The guest room wasn't decorated like it would be for a New Year's Eve celebration. There were no tablecloths in the back room. There was a canteen atmosphere here. The quality of the salad for the starter was not at all in keeping with the tradition of a Greek restaurant. There was no dessert or treat late at night, as in previous years at the turn of the year. In my opinion, the DJ once again didn't understand how to organize a proper New Year's Eve party according to the age of the guests present. Of course, this is not the responsibility of the restaurant operator. A lottery raffle was announced when purchasing New Year's Eve tickets. When I asked during the celebration, the staff confirmed that this raffle was taking place. But nothing happened in this regard.

I was there for the first time last night The new owners eat and I have to say that we didn't like the food at all. We had different side dishes for two dishes. I wish it didn't work and the food wasn't hot and the Metaxa sauce had no taste. Waitress didn't even know more that we had ordered from her. Were disappointed

Leider nicht mehr das , was es mal war. Nach Übernahme durch neue Betreiber ist das Nikos enttäuschend . Unfreundliches Personal , lange Wartezeit auf Getränke.

Es scheint jemand neues in der Küche zu sein. Das es war anders als bei meinem Besuch 2022. Schön dekoriert und wirklich sehr sehr lecker. Auch die Inneneinrichtung wurde etwas überdacht und das Restaurant hat sich von den weißen Tischdecken getrennt. Finde ich wirklich gut. Weiter so.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Wir hatten uns vier Vorspeisen bestellt. Eine köstlicher als die andere.😋Die Hauptspeise hatte zwar wenig Schnörkel, aber das Fleisch war spitze. Zart und saftig. Die Pommes musste man selbst salzen und am Gyros war etwas viel Thymian. Herausragend waren die Käsebällchen von den Vorspeisen. 👍💕Wir kommen gerne wieder. 🍀

Vom Ambiente nicht wirklich liebevoll gestaltet. In meinem Lammpfännchen ertranken kleine Lammstückchen (Filet - schwer festzustellen) in einer fettigen Metaxasauce, dazu ganze zwei Scheiben trockenes Baguettebrot. Die Gerichte meiner Begleiter sahen lieblos auf den Teller gelegt aus. Der dazu gereichte Salat, etwa zwei Esslöffel, war nicht mehr frisch - der Eisbergsalat war nicht mehr knackig, das Dressing nicht herauszuschmecken. Ja, wir waren eine größere Gruppe, die aber reserviert hatte. Die Qualität hätte nicht darunter leiden dürfen.

Das Restaurant Nikos hat einen würdigen Nachfolger gefunden, nachdem Nikos und Familie wieder in ihre Heimat zurückgekehrt sind. Super freundlicher Service, das Essen sehr lecker und der Ouzo schmeckt auch. Nach wie vor unser Lieblingsgrieche 😊❣️

I love this place. Simple easy, oytside seating on roadside but high roof over tables, i dont mind it, the food is good and simple, maybe a little too big portions... Tomato rice is my fav.

Wir waren nicht vor Ort, sondern haben den Lieferservice in Anspruch genommen. Schnell geliefert, tolles Essen, extrem heiß und eine große Portion der bestellten Speisen...gute Konkurrenz, wenn das so bleibt...😊

Der Abend war schön. Bedienung freundlich hilfsbereit . Tisch decken wären mal neue angebracht. Essen war lecker. Gerne wieder.

Wir haben Essen bestellt und das kam auch sehr schön schnell an. Das war es aber leider auch an positivem. Es war kalt, die Pommes komplett labbrig. Maximal einen Klacks Soße gab es dazu. Pilze waren in der Rahmsoße auch nicht vorhanden. Das Fleisch war quasi nur mit Pfeffer gewürzt und hat sonst nach nichts anderem geschmeckt. Die Rahmsoße war zumindest ganz lecker nur eben ohne Pilze. Aus irgendeinem Grund waren bei einem Essen Paprika und Zwiebeln in der Rahmsoße, die aber nirgends vorher angemerkt waren. Wir sind leider sehr enttäuscht und werden wohl nicht wieder bestellen - vor Ort mag es besser sein aber Lieferservice nicht zu empfehlen. Schade.
