Schwabengarten in Leinfelden-Echterdingen

Food is good for a beer garden but is now sometimes more expensive than in a real restaurant and sauces have just started to cost extra, which I don't understand... no service, which is to be expected in a beer garden but not at these prices, the ambience is good and very cozy in general, sometimes the music during live performances can be a bit very loud and you just have to come early for events or on the weekend, otherwise the beer garden is pretty full despite its size. The parking space is also a bit tight, but that's not a bad thing. All in all a nice place to relax if you want to have a beer

Nice beer garden. The food was delicious. When you're there for the first time, you have to get used to ordering and paying. What I didn't like was that there were no prices on the menu.

The dude at the bar can't speak German and doesn't know any types of beer. You want a Russ and get a lager with cola in the wrong glass. Embarrassing for a beer garden people. At the checkout I am then asked what it is supposed to be. I say I have no idea what I just got. Of course, the plörre also costs a whopping €5.xx... The LE bowl has no taste, the large salad contains maybe 10 grams of potato salad and has mushy leaves. Of course everything is expensive as hell. The tables should be sanded and painted because you're now getting your hands on splinters because the wood or paint is flaking off. Guys, you used to be good. I know everything will be more expensive, but that's just not how it works. In the future we'll go to the Paulaner on the church square.

The price-performance ratio is no longer suitable. Quality and taste are average at best, plus self-service - the prices are simply too high for that. Last year there was a sauce bar where you could help yourself to the main course. They are no longer available and depending on the dish, a single sauce is included or has to be paid for with an extra 50 cents - i.e. from previously free to paid for. Prices have increased significantly compared to last year (see old pictures of the menu) and overall there are fewer high-quality dishes on offer. Overall, some of the furniture looks out of place (old couches, for example). It's a shame, but I won't visit the beer garden again.

The price is very high, it would be ok if the portion sizes were appropriate, but they don't. Depending on the food, the taste is good to okay. Unfortunately our food was first forgotten and then prepared incorrectly. In any case, it was the last time for us. But you can sit there very nicely.

Food quality is mixed, but significantly better than before. Beer is still Schwabenbräu, but as a cyclist you can drink it down if you're thirsty enough. The employees are actually all nice, but it's just self-service, which isn't reflected in the prices.

The food quality is very poor: old nuggets, uncooked rice, etc. The prices are too high. 15 euros for tarte flambée? Craziness. The lady at the mulled wine stand is aggressive and wants to lecture others. Instead of trying to delete my review, increase the quality of your food and teach your staff how to talk to customers.

Just a good beer garden. Don't expect high-end. But that's not required there either. It's just a cool place to sit, drink beer, eat something and enjoy the day. In winter the team always comes up with something new and the winter village is always worth a visit. I really don't write many reviews because it's always a matter of opinion and some people like to complain about everything and everyone. But the Schwabengarten is always worth a “trip”.

Great place to spend the evening. We were there for a Business after work. Food and drinks were delicious. The place offers multiple different places to sit with a nice atmosphere. We also did the Eisstockschießen, which was lots of fun

The Schwabengarten - simply a 20 out of 10*! We come to the Schwabengarten every year and regularly because it is an absolute highlight for us, friends and family every time. I like it there so much that I really wanted to celebrate my 30th birthday in Winterdörfle. The organization is a 20 out of 10, the ambience with a lot of love and details, the finest food and the atmosphere and feeling cannot be topped. The whole team made my big birthday unforgettable. Be sure to come by - here you will understand what is important!

Wir kommen jährlich & regelmäßig in den Schwabengarten, weil es für uns, Freunde und Familie jedes Mal ein absolutes Highlight ist. Mir gefällt es dort so gut, dass ich im Winterdörfle unbedingt meinen 30. Geburtstag feiern wollte. Die Orga eine 20 von 10 , das Ambiente mit viel Liebe und Details, Essen vom Feinsten und die Stimmung und das Feeling nicht zu toppen. Das ganze Team hat meine runden Geburtstag unvergesslich gemacht. Unbedingt vorbei kommen - hier wird verstanden, worauf es ankommt !

The “Winterdörfle” in Schwabengarten is really a great place to spend a beautiful winter evening or afternoon. It is decorated with a lot of love and has something for young and old. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly, and there is a selection of good food and drinks. Of course it's worth it sometimes Drop by for an event on the weekend evening. Great recommendation!

Thanks to the lovely staff at the drinks distribution on the right and at the curling. BUT Unfortunately, our visit to the Schwabengarten was still a (human) disappointment. We had made reservations weeks in advance for 10 people, but when we arrived we discovered that the space allocated to us was only enough for 8 people at best. It was narrow, uncomfortable and showed how little emphasis is placed on planning here. But what was really shocking was the reaction of the so-called “boss” (we were not given a name when we asked). Instead of solving the problem in a professional and hospitable manner, we were treated in a condescending and unfriendly manner. No apologies, no effort to accommodate us - just stroppy comments and a feeling of being unwelcome. We were really stunned by this treatment of guests. It is unbelievable how little value is placed on customer satisfaction here. We had been looking forward to a lovely evening, but instead it was an experience that we won't soon forget - unfortunately in a negative sense. Swabian Garden? Never again for us. Addition: €3.50 for a 0.2 water, no need to say more.

There were over 40 of us and we played curling and of course we went out to party afterwards. One of us invited a waitress to have a “short drink”, which she was actually happy about, although her colleague was probably a bit jealous which is why he had one Our friends who invited the waitress for a drink, constantly ran into his feet, and repeatedly provoked him as he walked past with words: “There is no room here, you have to stand at the counter the whole time, go somewhere else”. Physical contact such as pushing or pushing from the waiter also annoyed our friend at some point, which led to an unpleasant discussion. The waiter said “go away, find another place” he probably didn’t know that there were around 40 of us there. They tried to calm the situation with the managing director that evening and tried to explain to him that the waiter had started the argument and that there were actually 40 of us here. Since a colleague of ours was supposed to leave the store, we said that we would also leave the garden, to which the manager said that evening "everyone go away." He probably doesn't care about the customers. We all went there. Yes, we even rented a bus to visit the Schwaben Garten, and we were there the year before and were actually quite happy with everything. Now this garden has lost us as customers and we will not put up with this unfriendly treatment. Sad as the “boss” of the evening where to deal with her customers. And the waiter weakly ruined the evening for a whole group of 40 people because of jealousy. We stick together and don't leave any of our colleagues behind. The Schupfnudeln were delicious, The ambience itself is good, but service and dealing with the customer is only in your own interest...

Food was good but the selection was very limited. Atmosphere very Christmassy and great with the campfire. I can highly recommend it for Christmas parties

The atmosphere of the winter village is very nice. However, our meat dish was quite oversalted. But I would still come back because of the ambience.

We were there with around 45 people and celebrated our son's first birthday with a larger group. From the reception through the entire event to billing, everything was perfect. Short-term special requests such as additional tables, changes to the pre-ordered dishes, etc. were not only gladly implemented, the employees were also available to help us. The service was always friendly and very attentive even though the hut was full of guests (unfortunately it was rainy outside) and other large reservations. Of course, we knew the menu in advance because we had been to Winterdörfle several times. But: we didn't know the hut boards and we were surprised at how wonderfully they were prepared, brought to the table and presented. The variety of food on the boards was amazing, all the guests were thrilled and there was something for everyone, from babies to grandpas. The selection of drinks is generally great in this location. If we now look back at the overall package, price and performance were absolutely in harmony, the atmosphere couldn't have been nicer and the birthday couldn't have been more perfect. We would do everything exactly the same again! Thank you for everything

We held our Christmas party here. That was the worst Christmas party I've ever been to. We were in a large hut, it was so cold in there that we all had to keep our jackets on. It hasn't gotten any warmer over time. We girls were all dressed up because none of us were expecting it. A snowsuit would have been better. Nobody imagines a Christmas party like this. We sat close together (in our winter jackets) on beer benches with backrests so that everyone had to get up if someone had to get out. The food was good, but there was too little and it wasn't refilled. Sorry, but that was nothing. The hut urgently needs to be insulated and equipped with heating. Beer benches with backrests are also very impractical here. It was just uncomfortable. Too bad.

We had food for 14 people, something for everyone that is currently available in the Schwabengarten. It was a lot and was very good. There is something for everyone and the price is okay too. We stayed in a hut the whole time and it was beautifully decorated. The various mulled wines are also delicious, but I think the price is a little expensive. It's just very crowded there. Still, it was a nice evening.

Beautiful and atmospheric ambience as long as you are outdoors. Horrible and far too loud Ballermann music in the ski hut. You can't have a conversation and listen to that horrible "Laila" song - still? The only thing even worse is the food! Too bad! The outside area is really beautiful.

Tables for 35 people were reserved. There was no comment in the confirmation about limited use of the tables + benches. Therefore, we were very surprised when we were informed about this. After a brief clarification, the "boss" from yesterday evening approached us and became loud and disrespectful. At 9 p.m. there is no more seating and at 8:20 p.m. a table with full glasses was simply pulled away from the guests. The other tables were ignored until then. The "boss", who so aggressively pulled the table away, then became violent with a guest and justified his actions as "escorting him out"! Absolutely not correct - over 20 people observed him looking at the guest from behind. In addition, the "boss" embellished the conversation several times and portrayed it completely incorrectly; there are also many earwitnesses to this who heard what was actually said. It's also very unprofessional when the "boss" tries to justify his behavior with his personal biography. That doesn't matter at all in this context! He also couldn't resist saying that we should thank him for allowing us to use the hut, since we would actually have been in a different hut. (strange that the reservation email said something completely different!) The behavior was never justified or appropriate in any situation. But the “boss” really enjoyed putting himself above the guests in his role and bragging about his abilities. He probably didn't think it made sense to have the opportunity to act professionally and have an adult conversation in order to find a solution for the large group. It's not worth talking about the prices and quality of the food. The owner's other locations have a completely different standard.

Unprofessional staff who become violent. Food cold, prices exorbitant. Tables are cleared away randomly. Possible solutions to the table problem are not worked out and are punished with expulsion - not recommended. Especially not in the winter village.

Aggressive Service, cold food, super expensive drinks, tables have been removed without any warning. No information in confirmation mail or somewhere else. Boss ment I should make myself familiar on the website, not my business to deal with that. Owner needs to inform me upfront - even that we had a larger group of 30+ people. If you want some beergarden or Xmas market experience go somewhere else

Winter village nice hut feeling Service super nice but after 2 hours despite reservations for 30 people the announcement in 30 minutes only standing room, tables and benches are gone and there is no more service because everything is made free for dancing. I wasn't even allowed to have my drink and my bag was a total no go. The maestro in charge said that if you made a reservation you would know (how) there wasn't a single syllable of it in the email. Well, you just have to have experiences. Oh, food is scary

We spent our Christmas party here and felt very comfortable. This is hospitality at the highest level.

I had a Christmas party there, the atmosphere was great. It was decorated as a winter village and had wooden huts everywhere. I had a goulash soup with farmer's bread that was really good. The tarte flambée, however, was more of a thick pizza in tarte flambée style. The toilets were very clean and tidy. All in all it was great and would recommend it.

Concept and ambience good. I think the prices are excessive. 10.50 for a red sausage (probably German top, even in the English garden much cheaper). The service: arrogant, inflexible and derisive. You spend over 150 euros and the gentlemen don't turn on the patio heater after repeated requests. "Only from nine, we just have to wait that long - grin. It has to last 4 hours, we won't turn it on at 1930." 70% of the tables empty, but reserved (good, that was to be expected. So...) Reserved for when? In about an hour. We've long since left. NO, you are not allowed to sit down. Understood. Ciao. Btw: 200 m further is a great Irish pub.😜

Solid visit with light and shadow” We recently went to Schwabengarten and overall had a decent evening, but there were both positive and less pleasant points. The atmosphere is pleasant and invites you to linger, especially when the weather is good. The beer garden atmosphere is really successful, and the selection of food and drinks is varied. We particularly liked the selection of local beers. Unfortunately the food was just average. The portions were sufficient, but we weren't impressed with the taste - a lot of things seemed rather carelessly prepared. The service was okay, but seemed overwhelmed in places, which led to longer waiting times. Conclusion: A nice place for a casual evening, but with room for improvement in the food and service.

We were there for curling and only consumed drinks. Unfortunately, the smoke from the fire for the stick bread drifted into the curling lanes, so after two hours we were well smoked.

I celebrated my 60th birthday in Winterdörfle. We rented the valley station for 18 people. Everything worked out great and the meal “Von alles Ebbes” served on a wooden board was a real highlight for my guests. Everyone was thrilled. The heaters were even activated upon request. Winter villages are simply a great thing

Very nice atmosphere. Small fire pits everywhere to warm up. Cozy seating with fur and candles. Cabins with sofas and fireplaces are also available, furnished with attention to detail. There is delicious mulled wine as well as cold drinks. Unfortunately there is a small deduction for food. Everything was very tasty and there was a large selection, but a bit too expensive for my taste. But absolutely recommended with family/friends or work!

We celebrated our wedding in the WinterdörfLE and it was simply overwhelming and beautiful!! The location is fantastic, so much attention to detail!! The food and drinks left nothing to be desired!!! It's self-service and our guests celebrated it! Absolutely recommended. Thank you ❤️

Der Schwaben/Wintergarten von der Atmosphäre sehr schön. Essen und Getränke eine Katastrophe. Die verkaufen dir fertige Rote Würste, die wer weiß wie lange schon im Topf liegen und dann nur kurz noch auf den Elektrogrill kommen zum aufwärmen. 5,50€! Sorry, aber eine Frechheit. Glühwein und andere Heissgetränke werden in kalten Tassen serviert. Dh der Glühwein ist lauwarm und nach ca 3 Minuten eiskalt. Auch für 5,00€. Die Flammkuchen sind gekauft und werden dann belegt. Uff 14,50!!! Sorry, finde es eigentlich sehr schön hier. Aber wahrscheinlich bringen wir beim nächsten Mal unsere Getränke und Essen selber mit im Rucksack.

Nice open area, has an extra motorcycle parking space. The staff was friendly and the food was delivered quickly for pickup. It also tasted very good.

The food was delicious, the pretzels and chicken wings being favorites, as well as the beautiful fresh fruits. Everyone had a fantastic time! Highly recommend the Schwabengarten, for small or large groups. It is a large, welcoming, fun spot, located right on the train line.

We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary with 50 guests in the Schwabenalm. The Alm is a great location, the team was friendly, attentive, flexible and uncomplicated. We booked the package with a BBQ grill buffet and didn't regret it. The food was plentiful and very tasty. Our guests were happy and so were we. Thank you Schwabengarten team 👍

Wir haben unsere Silberhochzeit mit 50 Gästen in der Schwabenalm gefeiert. Die Alm ist eine tolle Location, das Team war freundlich, aufmerksam, flexibel und unkompliziert. Wir haben die Pauschale mit einem BBQ Grillbuffet gebucht und haben es nicht bereut. Das Essen war reichlich und sehr lecker. Unsere Gäste waren glücklich und somit waren wir es auch. Really nice open beer garden very close to a U-bahn stop. Good selection of beers on draft and a good selection of very affordable swabian meals (currywurst, white sausage, schneitzel, etc)

My friend ate Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and he liked it. The portion was large. I only ate fries… The selection for vegetarians is already weak, but there is nothing for vegans… We were there during the week and there was no tarte flambée. Children's playground has become smaller (than it used to be) and is more intended for small children. There were no free parking spaces. Very nice, discreet and helpful service who picked up our plates and glasses. The lady in the checkout wasn't really nice. Ambient, cyclists and price ok.

Very nice beer garden, self-service, but friendly staff serving drinks and food. Food is comparatively expensive compared to other beer gardens with similar offerings. Food is overall okay. There are many different seating options and live music is offered on various days throughout the summer months.

Well-located beer garden in the middle of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, lots of space, rustic and authentic furnishings. Previous reviews almost discouraged us from visiting, but we were disabused of it. Modern pagers inform you when the food can be picked up, the optimal solution. The drinks section is actually well solved, but is initially quite confusing for strangers. Drink selection very modern and varied. The food was excellent, the meat was optimally cooked/fried, the ingredients and side dishes were coordinated, modern and attractively presented. It's a shame: When we visited it was a themed evening, the music only half matched the theme, the associated decorations were rather sporadic and were taken down well before the end of the day.
