The Schwabengarten in Leinfelden is a wonderful place to stop for a drink, chat, and relax. The beer garden is very spacious, so you can almost always find a seat. The many lovingly crafted details, which are regularly expanded or redesigned, are particularly lovely. The style ranges from rustic to modern – there's something for every taste. In summer, there are plenty of shady spots, and for children, there's a playground with sand toys. Whether it's beer benches, chairs, or cozy lounges – everyone will find their favorite spot here. The beer is excellent, and the drinks menu is very diverse. The food selection is also impressive: daily specials and special offers ensure variety, so everyone in our group has found something to their liking. The value for money is absolutely spot on, especially considering the size, effort, and attention to detail. I couldn't find any evidence of frozen goods when I looked into the kitchen – remarkable: one of the chefs cooks himself, which speaks to the quality and commitment. The food is delicious across the board: fresh, delicious, typically Swabian, and always plentiful. The option to have leftovers packed is also great. Sauces like ketchup and mayo used to be free at the counter, but now they're offered separately – which is understandable, as so much of it went unused. Our many positive experiences in both summer and winter ultimately persuaded us to celebrate our wedding with around 90 guests at Schwabengarten – and we were thrilled. From the initial inquiry during the Winter Village season, through the planning with Ivan, to the detailed coordination with Ivan and Nico, everything went smoothly. We had anticipated a lot of effort on our own, but the team took a huge amount of work off our hands. The alpine hut and terrace became an exclusive, cozy place where all our guests felt at home. Thanks to the information folder, we were able to select and combine various packages. The buffet was an absolute highlight: a mix of Swabian and Bavarian specialties, delicious in taste and outstanding in quality. A big thank you also goes to the waiters Jessy, Thomas, and Alexa. Their attentiveness, helpfulness, and warmth rounded off our celebration perfectly – from decorating the day before to their support during the ceremony and during cleanup. Our conclusion: Whether for a relaxed visit to the beer garden or a large celebration, we can wholeheartedly recommend the Schwabengarten. Our wedding was unforgettable, and we would celebrate here again anytime!

We used to go to this beer garden very often because the food was always fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, that has changed dramatically. Many dishes taste like frozen goods, the quality has declined significantly, and the prices are now very high. The value for money is no longer right for us. It's a real shame, because the atmosphere is still nice, and the children's playground is a huge plus. Nevertheless, we don't go there anymore because the quality of the food and the high prices simply no longer convince us.

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful beer garden with a dreamy Swabian beach in Leinfelden. Everyone brought their pork knuckle or pulled pork burger and their half-liter to their table with a blissful look in their eyes. Now, unfortunately, there's only a very limited selection of pure frozen convenience products at very high prices and poor value for money. Example: For €19.90, we got two thin pork schnitzels (which tasted distinctly like a pig's sty) with a satisfying potato salad. With the large portion of fries for €6.90, you also had to order a mini sachet of ketchup for €0.50! The fries tasted like they were made from inferior potatoes. The beer was okay. The fact that there are no prices on the menus at the table seems strange. The large monitors in the ordering area are probably used to constantly adjust prices (upwards?). Anyone who remembers Schwabengarten from the past will be very disappointed. We probably won't be coming back anytime soon.

Plenty of spots in the sun, under umbrellas, or under a hut/roof. The drinks selection is very good, including draft beer. The food is OK, though a bit overpriced in my opinion.

Now, in nice weather, it's a great place to linger. It's self-service and therefore a bit cheaper.

We were here on a Saturday evening in August. The beer garden was empty. That's no surprise, since the prices are higher than those of a good, traditional restaurant where service is included. We didn't want to pay €15.90 for a sausage salad, which we then had to get ourselves. The fries (€6) were cold and soft. The highlight for the kids (we adults loved it too) were the various little sauces, including ketchup and mayo, which were available free of charge. That's gone too - you now have to pay 50 cents for a small sachet. It's a real shame what's happened here. The beer garden is beautifully designed and the playground is great for families with children - but for many of us, a visit is unfortunately no longer affordable.

I won't eat there again. The schnitzel was thin, dry, and dripping with deep-fried grease. The fries were soggy and flavorless, looking like some had been sitting out for a while, some had been refried. The only thing that pleasantly surprised me was the restrooms. They were clean and didn't smell like a toilet. I didn't find any allergen labels.

The beer garden looks sensational, a lot of effort has been put into it. But ordering food and drinks is more like going through check-in at an airport. Of course... anyone who caters for so many people has to rely on convenience food, but then the menu cannot include any homemade products, and there are no prices listed, which I find a bit irritating. The portion size is positive, but taste is subjective... perhaps they could at least use fresh frying oil!!! All in all, given the size and the number of people, I miss the coziness that invites you to linger here, but it's fine as a stopover, but nothing more. To be fair, though, you have to say that a lot of effort has been put into it and the concept is well thought out to cater for so many people.

The atmosphere was pleasant, and there's a relatively large playground with sand toys, which is especially beneficial for families. We ordered the schnitzel with potato salad and feta cheese. The prices of €20 for the schnitzel and €16 for the cheese are a bit too high for our liking. Picking up the food was quick, about 15 minutes, which is a good thing for a self-service menu. The schnitzel consisted of two very thin, medium-sized pieces, and the taste was okay. The feta cheese with salad and bread was good. The fries (large portion for €6) were particularly disappointing. They were over-fried and unevenly cooked, giving the impression that they had come from different fryers and had been fried multiple times. The taste fell far short of expectations. The service was adequate, but unfortunately not inviting. A more welcoming and friendly approach would have been appreciated, as hospitality plays a significant role in the overall experience. Summary: A nice place to sit outside, but the quality of the food and the service could be improved.

I used to be a regular at the Schwabengarten. Unfortunately, it's no longer available, so we left. I don't see the point in paying €15.90 for a Swiss sausage salad. You can get it elsewhere for between €10 and €13. It wasn't as crowded as it used to be, which is a shame. It used to be a good beer garden. But you won't see me and my friends anymore.

Good biergarten. No deposit on the glasses and bottles, which is unique in my experience for Germany. Fun playground for the kids. Food is very good. A lot of people say it’s the best chicken nuggets around because they use the cornflake coating and I really can’t say I know a better place so maybe they are on to something. The other menu options are also delicious and reasonably priced. Really not much bad to say other than a lot of smokers but that’s just Germany. Edit: Thank you for the reply, another example of excellent customer service. The previous visit there were ash trays at a few tables by the playground (I had commented on a non-smoking area by the playground initially), possibly the customers moved them from farther away. I will mention to the staff if I notice this in the future. Regardless, we love your biergarten and go often.

A very nice beer garden with a rustic ambiance. But totally overpriced!!! Mediocre Maultaschen (swabian ravioli) with mediocre potato salad cost a whopping €18.90 self-service. You wouldn't even pay that much in an upscale restaurant with white tablecloths. I had a portion of Obatzter (a kind of sausage) with an extra pretzel and a non-alcoholic wheat beer for €20!!! The menus at the tables don't have prices, otherwise some people probably wouldn't even bother going to the self-service area. There are other nice beer gardens, and those are better, because this is a rip-off.

The location is good, just between the city and suburban train lines. So it rumbles regularly. Parking is good if you arrive early, otherwise it turns into a search or a long walk. You can bring your dog, and water is provided. That's about it as far as what I like. The menu is a bit fancy, meaning it's not particularly regional or hearty. On the other hand, the prices are quite ambitious. You can get that for less at other beer gardens in the region. The fact that the menu doesn't list food prices and that not everything is available is also a drawback, and has been discussed in other reviews. At least the prices are displayed on illuminated displays at the order counter. The additional dishes are listed on a board with prices.

Well presented, good drinks and service. The food: Hmmm, well, nothing you can't eat with a clear conscience. With one exception: the Greek farmer's salad. I don't know how to describe it or whether it's even a good idea to have it on the menu. It's inedible. The feta is a small, crumbly white mass scattered throughout the cucumbers and indefinable tomatoes that have been soaking in the salad dressing for hours, but it's not recognizable as feta cheese in any way. The salad dressing has absolutely nothing to do with olive oil or Greek herb notes. The whole thing, along with 14 peppers, is plunged into salty misery. In short, please, please never order it or even try to eat it. It's a waste of money, your appetite, and your mood. I want my money back. I had it cleared away after two forksfuls, and I felt cheated and ripped off, very unfortunate.

They really weren't tasty, and I don't understand how anyone could mess up simple deep-fried items like that. The sausage wasn't particularly tasty either. On top of that, the prices are really steep. Bottom line: the location is great, especially the playground. But they should stretch themselves more when it comes to food.

When you reach Schwabengarten, the entrance area and the parking spaces in front of it look like you're heading to Phantasialand. It's a huge area that takes a while to find your way around. Everything is self-service, including clearing up. Okay, in retrospect, I saved a €5 tip. The beer is sensational and well-priced. €0.50-€4.90. For the food, I missed the knuckle of pork and the grilled belly pork, as well as the grilled bratwurst. Just the typical things for a beer garden. I had a sausage salad that didn't fill me up, and a currywurst that did. In total, it came to just over €40.00, including three beers. That's quite a lot. Of course, I knew the price beforehand; it's on the bar, but not on the menu! So, I'd happily come back for a beer, but the food didn't quite fill me up.
