Seriously disappointed. The service was more than unfriendly to us and even a single smile would have been too much to ask. Our table was assigned to us with “The one over there.” In the past, at least you were shown to your table. When asked “This one?”, the answer was “Yes” with a roll of the eyes. Later, we were asked several “Have you finally got something?” every minute, as you obviously knew the menu by heart within 5 minutes and of course you immediately settle on the first dish that comes along (- irony). The food can only get better, right? I would swap the “Schnitzel” in the name for “Tasteless Piece of Sole” because it was nothing more than that. On top of that, the potato wedges were neither salted nor peppered, just dried out and some were still slightly raw on the inside. Thanks, but no thanks. I'd rather become vegan and just drink oat milk all day instead of throwing another €25 out the window. Never again.

Unfortunately, it has deteriorated significantly since the change of ownership. In the restaurant you only heard the telephone and operating noises. Music would make the whole thing a little more comfortable. The schnitzels themselves were dry and tasteless. It is better to offer a smaller selection and prepare it with more love. It's a shame, because it used to be very tasty here.

Highly recommended, even if it's not cheap. But good food has its price and here it is definitely justified. Also suitable for diabetics, no extra sugar is used 👍. Gladly again 😃

Never had such delicious schnitzels before. Staff was super friendly. You should just bring some time with you as it is always busy.

I reserved a table for 6 people in advance and was very happy about that because the restaurant was very busy. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, they regularly asked how we were and whether we had any further requests. The food came very quickly after ordering. A dish was mixed up or forgotten, but was quickly re-prepared and brought without asking, including an apology. Can happen with so many guests. The food was very plentiful and really tasty. The schnitzel was large and tender, the fried potatoes were very tasty and a side salad was also available upon request. Gladly again.

Great (continuous) opening times and then at 3 p.m. there is only coffee and cake in the "Schnitzelmanufaktur". Who else is supposed to know that? The receptionist is unfriendly and says: "...everything is at the door!". I rejected the forced seating allocation and turned around. Well, good representation of the ladies :(

You can definitely have a good meal there privately. We were there with one of 40 people on a Thursday (announced). We were only offered 3 dishes to choose from in advance: Mexican schnitzel, schnitzel with mushrooms and chicken slices. The dishes were carelessly "slapped" onto the plate, there was a spoonful of salad per plate. The last dishes were cold - fries not cooked properly, meat lukewarm. A colleague wanted a vegetarian schnitzel with other side dishes - there was no way. The staff seemed overwhelmed and we weren't allowed to sit outside despite the sunshine. In the picture you can see the "Mexican" schnitzel and the chicken slices. Same price for both dishes. Compare for yourself. The Mexican sauce consisted of ketchup and corn. The only positive thing was the schnitzel. It was very large and very delicate. But everything else.........

So never again not even worth a star!!!!!! We were here many times years ago and were always satisfied. The kitchen is simply overwhelmed and incompetent!!!! We waited over 1 hour for our food. We had 3x schnitzel, one came to the table completely burnt, we complained about it and waited another 35 minutes for the replacement schnitzel. Of course the others were finished eating. The schnitzels at the table next door were also burnt. And to top it off, the chef stands in front of the restaurant entrance at 7 p.m. and smokes. And the service is non-existent, the waitress sits at the counter annoyed and unoccupied tables are not cleared away.

Price/performance is not given! Food wasn't good and service took a very, very long time (despite pre-ordering).

nice looking building. we sat outside. i‘m afraid the food was poor. the same basic schnitzel with different toppings. presentation of the food was lacking any form of love. a tiny bit of salad on the plate which was just old tired looking lettuce. the schnitzel was bland. if this restaurant specializes in schnitzel you’d think they could make a nice one. not recommended.

Good restaurant on the edge of the castle park in Zeitz. When we were there (weekday afternoon) it wasn't full, but you should make a reservation in the evening. The food was good, the service was very nice.

We were a little disappointed with the food, but that was due to our selection. We had a salad with chicken strips - unfortunately hardly any dressing and not seasoned - and once the steak with herb butter and rosemary cream. I was only able to enjoy half of the meat because it got a little gray by then. But when I saw the other guests' plates, it was clearly better and looked very tasty. So please don't use that as a basis. Great ambience and nice service.

We were here today for a company outing. Service was good and changes were addressed. Drinks were at the table in no time. Just put on a little smile. 😉 Now that it was ready to eat, it looked fancy and tasted like an absolute disaster. Caprese starter was well filled but the basil was missing and was simply part of it. It also says so on the menu. Salmon steak with garlic rosemary. So I definitely walked past the knobi and didn't taste any of it. Sauce was just a roux that didn't taste like anything. My colleagues were of the same opinion. Schnitzel partly ran over. You would have to speak to the kitchen staff. My salmon steaks would be a shoe sole. Steak knives would also be helpful...

We were told (you have time, the meal takes at least 1 hour) welcomed. Furthermore, there was a reserved sign on every free table, even though only 4 tables were occupied and it was late at 1:15 p.m. And that on a Sunday. The food was good and sufficient.

Food was so well. The portion was a disgrace for the price. The name Schnitzel Manufaktur is out of place here.

I had caprese salad. I know this salad with lots of basil and balsamic vinegar. Sauce tasted somehow extended, herbs were completely missing. The interior furnishings may be tasteful, but the outside area lacked a special flair for me.

The food used to be great...unfortunately not anymore.

Arrived 5 minutes before the kitchen closed and got a great Hamburger schnitzel with 3 eggs. Beautiful beer garden with sunny and shady spots.

Very nice and cozy restaurant. With a beer garden and right next to the park, where you can have your schnitzel after dinner - hehe. Always worth a trip. Service is friendly and on point. We'd love to come back. LG from Lusatia and keep it up. We will be happy to recommend you.

Schnitzel au four and side dishes were good and the price wasn't quite as expensive as elsewhere, although side dishes cost extra.

As always, it was great, wonderful food, super nice service and everything was great all around. We always enjoy going there.

Yesterday we were visitors to the schnitzel factory with our school class. Both the children and we were very enthusiastic about the delicious food that was offered. You should be hungry for the large portions. :D Price/performance is well balanced though. Staff very friendly and atmosphere cozy.

Great here, also the outdoor area. We felt very comfortable. The conditions were very nice and attentive. That's how it should be. Price performance is totally harmonious and above all good German cuisine. Please keep it up.👍👍

Rip-off schnitzel with asparagus and side dish 30 euros

I was there today with my wife, once Viennese style, with a couple of peas sauce, a tip of flour was stretched out, it had no taste the castle ghost (049) All in all it was good, only the white part of the side dishes like lemon 🍋 or sauce etc. is desirable, it looked more like whether it was adjusted exactly with a tablespoon, just not that much of a good thing! And you have to pay extra for side dishes, I think it's more or less a rip-off and that's generally speaking, what used to be normal that it was on the plate, you now have to pay extra 🤬🤬🤬 Fried potatoes children's bowl just under 5€ (10 DM). It was tasty, but value for money, well, I'll save myself the comment because it's like that almost everywhere you get ripped off!!! Service was ok and people would smile more if the money was right. All in all you can go, but you don't have to!

So I just enjoyed some of it. Schnitzel was good I didn't think the peas with the bechamel sauce worked at all. For me, frozen peas and the bechamel sauce were just a roux that didn't taste like anything. The salad on the plate was hardly worth mentioning as little as that was

The food is only medium quality. The peas that come with it are totally tasteless. Then just leave them out. The salad with it is also boring. For me it goes with a light dressing.

We were very impressed with the restaurant. The two of us managed to get a place without a reservation, which is recommended. The service was extremely friendly, the price-performance ratio was right, the schnitzel was a dream. This is exactly how a schnitzel should taste. I had the schnitzel with Camembert and cranberries, a dream. We will be back definitely.

Disappointing experience at the schnitzel factory in Zeitz As a long-time guest of the former schnitzel factory, I was very excited to try out the new schnitzel factory in Zeitz. It is almost impossible to reserve a table. Several calls went unanswered and when I finally reached someone, it seemed like the staff didn't care about customers. This was a clear contrast to the previous warm atmosphere of the Schnitzelschmiede.

This is how schnitzel should taste. The chef definitely knows his craft! Absolutely delicious and sufficient and cheap. Nice atmosphere and nice service...

Es gibt nichts zu kritisieren. Einfach nur lecker und sehr schönes Ambiente. Wir bedanken uns dafür . Peter und Bettina.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant in der Orangerie des Schlosses Moritzburg. Nach einem Spaziergang am Nachmittag eine Empfehlung. Leider fehlte uns die Auswahl an leckerem Kuchen, der sicherlich in dem wunderschönen Ambiente reißenden Absatz finden würde. Trockener Stollen und Lebkuchen Plätzchen aus der Tüte sind da eine enttäuschende Alternative.

Nicht mehr zu empfehlen.. Essen war kalt. Schnitzel total trocken, Wedges waren pappelich... Anrichteweise der Speisen ist nicht gut... Wer gut essen möchte sollte lieber wo anders hin..

Der Hammer!!! Ich bin spontan in die Schnitzelmanufaktur eingekehrt. Auf Grund von Veranstaltung sagte man mir schon beim Eintreten, ich länger auf mein Essen warten müsse. Was ich schon mal äußerst fair empfand. Die Wartezeit war dann sogar noch deutlich kürzer und wurde mit einem wundervollen Schnitzel belohnt. Vielen Dank und ich freue mich auf das nächste Mal 👍😊

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Lokal. Super nette Bedienungen und auf meine Wünsche wurde ohne Probleme eingegangen. Ich bestellte für mich Rosmarin Steak. Lt. Speisekarte sind es zwei Stück. Ich wollte aber nur eins - es soll nichts weggeworfen werden. Sofort sagte der Kellner "ja, machen wir nur eins, dann ist es sogar etwas billiger". Das Bier sollte nicht so sehr kalt sein. Wurde etwas angewärmt. Ganz toller Service in der Schnitzelmanufaktur. Hier ist der Gast wirklich noch König. Das Steak schmeckte hervorragend und die Pommes waren richtig knackig. Preise auch sehr fair. Klare Sache: Absolutes Muss in Zeitz.

Das Ambiente ist wirklich toll und die Schnitzelauswahl Klasse. Leider war das Fleisch ziemlich zäh und man hat geschmeckt, dass das Fett schon alt war. Die Süßkartoffelpommes waren auch schon über den Punkt und haben leicht verbrannt geschmeckt. Das Ganze für kanpp 20 Euro pro Person, leider nicht wirklich empfehlenswert

Das Restaurant ist ohne Abstriche zu empfehlen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich; sowohl das große 'Schnitzel Camembert, aber auch das Steak au four ließen keine Wünsche offen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmte ebenfalls.

War leider nicht so gut. Nudeln sind zu weich gewesen. Das Schnitzel an sich war zart aber, das Fett in dem es gebraten wurde war schon zu verbrannt was sich dann auf den Geschmack gelegt hat.

Tolle Schnitzel an einem tollen Ort

Waren heute mit Kollegen bei euch essen. Ambiente,Service und Geschmack wunderbar. Äußerst zuvorkommende Bedienung mit viel Humor was uns sehr gefallen hat. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Aschenbecher, welche man auch als Übertöpfe für Pflanzen nutzen kann 😁😉

Essen dauert lange, Geschmack so la,la. Leider kein Raum für Babys / Kleinkinder zum Wickeln. Auch nicht in der Damentoilette. Hab unseren Enkel im Kinderwagen vor Eingang zur Küche wickeln müssen.

Kann es nur empfehlen, ich werde mit Sicherheit wieder kommen. Die Speisen die wir bestellt haben, waren sehr lecker , Personal war freundlich und Preis/Leistung hat auch gepasst. 🤝🏻👍🏻

Super leckeres Essen, sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal, sehr angenehmes Ambiente. Wir sind total begeistert auch von der Vielfalt der Gerichte. Die Schnitzelmanufaktur ist sehr zu empfehlen. Fussläufig befindet sich ein großer, kostenloser Parkplatz, auf welchem man auch mit einem Camper Platz zum Schlafen findet!

Seit ca. 15 Jahren feiern wir in der Gaststätte" Alt Zeitz" den Geburtstag einer älteren Dame.Auch für für den 3. 9. 2022 steht die Feier schon im Bestellbuch des Wirtes. Wir alle sind immer sehr begeistert von der Athmosphäre, der liebevoll gedeckten Tafel, dem vortrefflich schmeckenden Essen und der zuvorkommenden und super freundlichen Art des Wirtes Herrn Krause.-- Schade ,dass wir nicht in Zeitz wohnen, sonst würden öfter diese Gaststätte besuchen.

Weltklasse Essen - sehr nette Bedienung - ruhige Atmosphäre - echte Blumen auf dem Tisch 😉 wir werden beim nächsten Besuch wieder kommen

Wir waren unter den Gästen einer sehr netten Familienfeier. Der wunderbare Abend ist auch dem Wirt und seinem Küchenteam zu danken, die in diesem wunderbar gepflegten und gemütlichen Ambiente die Gäste verwöhnen, wie man es sich nur wünschen kann. Das Essen war durchweg super (und preiswert!), der Wein gut ausgesucht, das Bier frisch gezapft. Respekt!

Sollte man es mal schaffen einen Platz zu bekommen, bietet das Alt-Zeitz eine gute Küche. Wer also weit genug im Voraus sein Abendessen plant, ist hier an der richtigen Adresse,
