Great place for schnitzel and meat lovers. As a veggie there were baked potatoes in 2 variations, so one visit was enough for me. But the meat eaters really liked it!

Food was very good. Yes, the price is on the higher end, but the chicken schnitzel was really tender and the mushroom sauce was damn tasty. It was just a shame that we sat in front of empty glasses for ages. When my husband asked a waitress for another drink, she put his full glass next to my empty one and didn't even ask if I wanted anything else. I had a drink in the 2 hours we were there. Every second table was occupied and 3 service staff were on duty. People always looked roughly over the tables, but empty glasses were simply ignored. We noticed that our neighboring tables also noticed this negatively.

Ordered half duck, it was also tasty and plentiful, but unfortunately there was NO sauce! That's not possible with real Mecklenburgers! The sauce I ordered was just a roux with a sauce thickener. Too bad! One star deducted.

Service is quick and friendly. We ordered 6 different schnitzels. Portions were large. Unfortunately the plates were very carelessly prepared. The toppings of the schnitzel were somehow slapped on. The taste was okay, although 4 of the 6 schnitzels had a golden yellow side and a very crispy side. Something like that shouldn't happen in a schnitzel house. Very overpriced for schnitzel.

Too high a price for a schnitzel of this size, but tasty

The food was delicious, I had minced leek schnitzel, but the price was very expensive. My wife had a pear schnitzel because at that price we would have expected fresh pears instead of canned beers.

Went there again with a biker group. Absolutely top food, at fair prices. Also very comfortable.

Nice schnitzel place. Chicken and original schnitzels were really good, nice fried potatoes. Cranberry sauce seems to be homemade. While restaurant was full for lunch our food came very quickly

Unfortunately not the quality you would expect in a restaurant. Food only moderately warm. Food arrives after 2 minutes of ordering. Little taste in the dishes. Even a schnitzel needs salt and pepper to fry...

It's a good shop with friendly service and always delicious food. Only the bruschetta isn't that convincing. As a starter it's just too expensive for the quantity and quality. But you don't have to wait long for your food. Possibly without a seat reservation. I've been there many times and will be there many more times.

I can't really recommend it, reason: - no schnitzels with beef - Bees in the restaurant and no protection from the sun through the windows - Food was ok, but nothing special - Exchange of fries for fried potatoes: 3€. Way too much - Fried potatoes weren't crispy - rather mushy - It is not possible to unsubscribe from onions in the fried potatoes - exorbitant prices (almost everything over €20). Sorry - we're still talking about pork schnitzel here. Despite inflation, there should be dishes around €15. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit.

Wir waren für einen Tagessauflug in Schwerin und wollten natürlich auch zu Mittag essen. Das Restaurant liegt an einem Platz hinter dem Markplatz. Wir saßen unter guten Sonnenschirmen draußen. Das Personal war freundlich. Auf der Karte finden sich (wie der Name des Restaurants vermuten lässt) überwiegend Schnitzel. Darunter sind auch einige kreative Ideen jenseits der klassischen Rezepte (wie Wiener, Jäger und das, was man nicht mehr sagen darf).

Can you do... First of all, the service was top and always on point. Waiting time was reasonable despite the store being full and prices were ok for the old town. The schnitzel was very juicy and the size was great, although the fried potatoes could still be improved a lot. If you're really hungry, just order the XXL schnitzel.

Restaurant for many styles of schnitzel dishes. Service has room for improvement and there's no AC in the restaurant so it can get hot in the summer months.

We went there a second time after 8 months, it didn't improve. It has become poorer in quality and more expensive. To swap fries for fried potatoes you have to pay an additional €3. A real cheek to charge €25 for a “well” schnitzel with fried potatoes. I think we won't eat there again, things could be better. If you like it that way and the price isn't too expensive for you, you should enjoy it. But service and friendliness were OK. In any case, from our point of view, things are going downhill 🥴

Nice restaurant with an outdoor area. Some parking spaces available nearby. Numerous schnitzel variants in the range. The schnitzels we chose tasted good. The portion size should satisfy your average hunger well. Otherwise the XXL schnitzel might help. The prices are reasonable. The staff was friendly and attentive.

We came to the restaurant because the menu from 3 years ago was shown here. But currently the food is much more expensive. Each dish added around €8. But we still ate here because we were already seated. Service was OK. We had two schnitzels and a children's menu, three drinks and left with €65. Food was ok. Portions could have been a little larger for my taste.. Overall it was tasty. Ambience behind the market square a little away from the hustle and bustle. I like that. 3* from me.

The Schnitzelhaus turned out to be a good choice when looking for a restaurant. The service was consistently friendly and attentive, which made the entire stay very pleasant. We were impressed by the selection of schnitzel variants. Whether classic or creative – there is something for every taste. Price-performance was also good. All in all, a wonderful experience that we will certainly repeat. The Schnitzelhaus is definitely worth a visit!

Large schnitzel offering serving more than generous portions. Went for the Elsässer Art and the new Butterfly. Both tasty and well received. If anything I prefer my topping on the side to avoid the breading to lose it’s crunchiness, but here it seems to be part of they way the present their dishes and I reapect that. Beer offering as expected.

The schnitzels were good (but not very good, as you would expect in an explicit schnitzel house), so in my opinion the price-performance ratio just wasn't right. Standard schnitzel for 20-25€ (plus comparatively expensive drinks) is simply too much! However, the staff was very nice and the food came quickly.

Went to the Schnitzel Haus for the first time today, the atmosphere was great. The food tasted great, the team was just great, they work hand in hand. Price/performance is completely okay for the quality... simply recommended

Das Ambiente passt, es ist schön eingerichtet. Leider kann ich nicht mehr gutes zum Schnitzelhaus sagen. Das Schnitzel war in vier Minuten am Tisch. Leider nicht gewürzt, dafür steht ja Salz und Pfeffer am Tisch. Völlig überteuert und eine kleine Portion

Three of us had dinner on a Saturday afternoon. Food was hardly okay, there was little to complain about and the price-performance ratio was fine. The nice gentleman with the glasses was super friendly and provided great service. I can only judge the ambience from outside, so and because the tables outside could be a little more loving, I only give 4 stars for the ambience. Otherwise, a nice inn to recommend if you want to eat schnitzel nearby.

The name doesn't fit the restaurant! The starter (solyanka) was lukewarm and the creme fraiche was so sour. I couldn't see any mention of veal or pork in the schnitzel on the menu (yes, I know Viennese style... but not in the other versions either.) The meat was bland and the breading was slightly burnt. You might think that if you don't focus on quality, then maybe quantity? But no! The service didn't speak much German and probably couldn't do much with the information about the burnt breading. But the cook should see for himself if the schnitzel gets too dark. The ambience was not appealing to me. My conclusion: I won't go back!

Nicely located in the old town. Nice staff 😁 Summer schnitzel was baked very dark in the deep fryer, which is probably why it was so dry. Fries were great, salad too.

Quite comfortably furnished restaurant, which also has a large outdoor terrace. As the name suggests, “schnitzel” comes in a variety of variations. Classic filling side dishes are, predominantly, fried potatoes. My rating of “only” 3 stars for the food is due to the fact that the portion for over 20 euros was a bit meager and the fried potatoes were only lukewarm. If the store had been full, I would have understood. But considering the traffic in the restaurant and the staff who were working, it was not acceptable. The staff was consistently friendly, kept an eye on the tables and served quite quickly.

The food was very tasty, and the nice young service on Sunday was particularly noteworthy. I would only deduct the price. A pork schnitzel with side dishes change from fried potatoes for 3€. All in all, it's expensive. As I said, pork schnitzel and not veal schnitzel. But it was delicious 😊

Nice schnitzel restaurant with a very large selection of different schnitzel creations. From the original Viennese schnitzel with anchovies and capers to the Greek-style schnitzel with gyros and tzatziki, everything is there - many of which I had never seen before. If you know what to expect then this can be the right restaurant. Don't expect a large selection of other dishes or haute cuisine. The service in particular was very friendly and quick. Overall we had a nice stay.
