Das Essen ist in Ordnung, aber man kann nicht mit Karte zahlen und wird zu einem Geldautomaten geschickt, der angeblich 200 Meter entfernt ist. In Wirklichkeit sind es aber fast 3 Kilometer.

Das Essen war sehr gut, die Auswahl an Schnitzeln ist der Hammer. Die Bedienung war sehr gut.

Super Schnitzel beim Buffet . Da kann man nach Herzenslust probieren , was das Zeug hält. 20,90€ für das Buffet sind top. Es gibt verschiedene Fleischsorten, auch Geflügel. Diverse Panaden und 16 Soßen. Beim Buffet sind die Schnitzel ein bißchen kleiner und werden für das Bufget vorbereitet, daher werde ich beim nächsten mal zum Schnitzeltag gehen und hoffe das die Schnitzel dann noch etwas saftiger sind. Unbedingt reservieren , es war zwar noch Platz, aber dann hat man weniger Probleme. Personal ist sehr nett und gut gelaunt. Gerne wieder

Wir gehen regelmäßig bei Christ essen und es ist jedes Mal ein Highlight. Grundsätzlich bestellen wir nur verschiedene Variationen von Schnitzel. Preis- Leistung ist dabei unschlagbar! Stets freundliches Personal. Manchmal leider etwas laut aber das lässt sich nicht verhindern. Wenn man zu zweit dort ist, kommt man auch wirklich oft an einen zweier Tisch und zuletzt saßen wir mitten im Raum - somit leider etwas auf dem Präsentierteller. Für uns eine klare Empfehlung! Wir waren zum Schnitzelbuffet dort welches eine gute Auswahl an verschiedenen Schnitzeln, auch Pute, hat. Als Beilagen gab es Pommes, Kroketten, Kartoffelauflauf und Gemüse. Die vielen, unterschiedlichen Saucen sind ebenfalls sehr lecker. Zudem gibt es noch ein reichhaltiges Salatbuffet und zwei Desserts oder auch ein Stück Kuchen zum Nachtisch. Das Buffet ist jedenfalls sehr zu empfehlen und wir werden definitiv wiederkommen.

Über 150 Schnitzelvariationen stehen hier zur Auswahl: Die Qual der Wahl! Es lohnt sich aber! Insbesondere beim Schnitzeltag Dienstag, wo alle Schnitzel (egal welcher Preis eig) ca 15€ kosten. Geschmacklich echt super Und eine sehr gute Portion. Zusätzlich kann man zwischen Schwein, Pute und Kalb auswählen. Bedienung schnell und super sympathisch:) Einrichtung rustikal aber passt irgendwie sehr gut zum Schnitzelhaus!:) Kommen sehr gerne wieder👍🏽

Wir waren am Wochenende als Gruppe im Schnitzelhaus zu Gast. Die Portionen waren recht groß. Die Auswahl an Schnitzelvarianten ist riesig. Leider waren die Bratkartoffeln nicht so ganz wie erwartet. Etwas fettig und unknackig. Ansonsten war das Essen lecker. Das Ambiente ist leider etwas altbacken. Und es war recht laut in dem großen Raum. Neben uns war eine größere Gruppe. Meine Applewatch hat 88 Dezibel gemessen. Tendenziell sind es eher 3 1/2 Sterne. Wir würden aber wiederkommen.

Ich war heute das erste mal seit längerer Zeit wieder dort und bin wieder nicht enttäuscht worden. Das Essen war super lecker, ich hatte mich für das Schnitzel mit Spargel entschieden. Auch meine Tochter fand das Essen spitze. Der Service war auch klasse. Ich komme gerne wieder und kann das Lokal aus meiner Sicht nur empfehlen.

Eine Riesenauswahl von Schnitzeln. Auch normale Speisekarte. Bei einer größeren Personenzahl und am Wochenende ist es sinnvoll zu reservieren. Sehr gutes Essen und guter Service. Die Auswahl an Speisen lässt keine Wünsche offen.

Also ehrlich – so ein unfreundliches Personal habe ich noch NIE erlebt! Man kommt rein und wird direkt angeschaut, als hätte man gerade irgendwas verbrochen. Kein Hallo, kein Lächeln, einfach nur genervte Blicke von oben bis unten. Man fühlt sich absolut unerwünscht! Einen Platz zu bekommen? Vergiss es! Entweder wird man komplett ignoriert oder in einem Ton abgespeist, der einfach nur frech ist. Da vergeht einem schon der Appetit, bevor man überhaupt sitzt. Und diese Atmosphäre… richtig unangenehm. Man hat das Gefühl, man stört einfach nur die Existenz des Personals. Kundenfreundlichkeit scheint hier ein Fremdwort zu sein! Ganz ehrlich: Da esse ich lieber trockenes Brot auf einer Parkbank, als mir das nochmal anzutun. Nie wieder! 👎

Wir sind auf Empfehlung in das Schnitzelhaus. Es war super lecker. Also wer im Ruhrgebiet ein super leckeres Schnitzel essen möchte für einen super fairen Preis, dann darf man das Schnitzelhaus - Christ in Herten nicht auslassen. Die Karte bietet reichliche Variationen an Schnitzel. Es sind wirklich an die 200 verschiedene Schnitzelgerichte. Wer sich also nicht entscheiden kann, sollte sich die Speisekarte am besten vorab zu Hause über das Internet ansehen. Wir waren zu 6. und hatten alle unterschiedliche Schnitzelgerichte, so dass wir untereinander probieren konnten. Und jedes einzelne Gericht war super lecker. Die Portionen riesig. Das einzige, woran man arbeiten könnte, ist das Ambiente. Im Sommer habe ich mir sagen lassen, gibt es auch einen schönen Outdoorbereich, der zum Verweilen und Essen einlädt. Also: Unbedingt ausprobieren! Aber vorab reservieren!

Ich bin extra aus Bremen angereist, um das Schnitzel Haus Christ zu besuchen und es hat sich absolut gelohnt! Das Essen war hervorragend, besonders das Schnitzel war frisch, knusprig und sehr geschmackvoll zubereitet. Die Portionen sind großzügig und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt ebenfalls. Der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Auch die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist gemütlich und angenehm. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder und kann das Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen! 😊

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal dort, ohne in die Karte geschaut zu haben wurden wir nach unseren Getränkewünschen gefragt, wir teilten mit, dass wir erst in die Karte schauen möchten, die Getränke kamen sehr schnell, danach eine ganze Stunde völlige Ignoranz uns als Kunden gegenüber von allen Mitarbeitern bis einem Mitarbeiter durch Zufall auffiel, dass wir noch nicht bestellt hatten, da sich das Restaurant und Biergarten nun bereits gefüllt hatte wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass das Essen nun auch noch mindestens eine Stunde dauert, daraufhin bezahlten wir unsere Getränke und verließen das Restaurant, NIE WIEDER. UPDATE 04.01.2026: wir waren nun doch schon mehrmals wieder dort und wir können mitteilen, dass die Schnitzelgerichte hervorragend frisch aus der Pfanne sind.

Ein altes Wirtshaus mit Charme. Es gibt edliche Schnitzelvariationen zum ausprobieren. Bislang waren alle probierten Variationen sehr lecker. Preis-Leistung gut. Heute waren wir zum Buffetessen. Große Auswahl an Schnitzelvariationen, Wildgerichten, Grschnetzeltem und divetsen Beilagen. Das für 24.90 bei all you can eat. Gerne selber mal ausprobieren.

Sind heute zum Weihnachtsbuffet im Schnitzelhaus Christ gewesen. Aber auch sonst ist das Schnitzelhaus einen Besuch wert. Bei den ganzen Varianten muss man öfter vorbei kommen.. Sehr gute Auswahl an Essen welche den Preis absolut berechtigt haben. War heute auch absolut verdient voll. Wir können gerne wieder!

Wir haben unsere Familien Weihnachtsfeier dort verbracht. Es war alles perfekt vom Service übers Ambiente bis zum Essen. Das Personal ist so freundlich. Das Essen kam alles gleichzeitig ( bei 12 Personen hab ich schon einiges anderes erlebt). Die Auswahl an Essen ist zwar gross aber soo lecker. Alle waren begeistert. Alle waren satt uns zufrieden und das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis stimmt zu 100%. Wirkommen definitiv wieder. Danke

Das Essen ist lecker und jeder findet etwas für sich, auch vegetarische Schnitzel stehen zur Verfügung, welche die anderen auch wohl sehr lecker fanden. Das einzige Problem ist nur, dass keine der 3/4 Bedienungen zu uns kam um zu fragen ob alles in Ordnung ist oder ob wir noch etwas brauchen. Heißt, wir mussten nach dem Essen etwa 30 Minuten verdursten, bis einer aus unserer Gruppe nach vorne gegangen ist. Das schlimmste, es ist zwei Mal passiert, beim zweiten Mal mussten wir sogar zwei Mal bescheid geben, bevor jemand gekommen ist.

We ate there for the first time today. I have to say we were thrilled. The selection is fantastic, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The prices are completely reasonable, the food is very fresh, and the quality is excellent. High chairs for toddlers are available. We were even given a picture book to look at. The atmosphere is cozy. The staff checked to see if everything was alright and if we needed anything else (in a very unobtrusive way). We highly recommend it and will definitely eat there again.

Schnitzelhaus Christ offers a huge selection of schnitzel variations – I've truly never seen anything like it! The food was delicious, the portions generous, and the staff friendly and attentive. We went there on a whim, and the restaurant was quite busy, which speaks volumes about the quality. Unfortunately, we had some bad luck with our table – it was right next to the kitchen door, which was constantly opening and closing. This was rather annoying. The schnitzels themselves were absolutely fantastic, but the side salad didn't quite live up to the same standard. I also find it a bit disappointing that card payments are only accepted for orders over €50 – that's not really up-to-date these days. Despite these minor drawbacks: A great restaurant with superb schnitzels that I can definitely recommend – but next time we'll make a reservation.

We visited this restaurant on a Thursday when they offer a schnitzel buffet. The place was busy, but the buffet was well-stocked. The schnitzels were juicy, and the selection of sauces and side dishes was good.

The SCHNITZELHAUS is amazing. The absurd schnitzel selection is just as amazing. The place has a very old-school look – just like it did when I was a kid. The beer garden is also great. The staff is very friendly and unobtrusive. The food is excellent. You can choose from pork, poultry, or veal schnitzel – with a corresponding surcharge, of course. Over 150 types of schnitzel, steaks, fillets, countless side dishes, vegetables, and salads are a real treat. Tuesdays are schnitzel days with reduced prices, and Thursdays feature a fantastic schnitzel buffet. I'm really glad that you can still get hearty German food at affordable prices these days. At Schnitzelhaus Christ, you'll definitely get your money's worth.

No entry without a reservation. The kitchen isn't keeping up and there are no free tables.

With approximately 150 different schnitzel varieties, every schnitzel fan is sure to be happy here. I immediately fell in love with the "Dallas" variety. The service is very friendly, attentive, and courteous. It was relatively loud inside, but not disturbing, so you could still have a good conversation. I remember the ambiance as being relatively simple and rustic. If you arrive by car, you have to look for parking in the side streets, as there is no dedicated parking lot. In summary, a recommendable restaurant with good value for money – I/we will definitely go there.

Thursdays always have a delicious schnitzel buffet. Tuesdays always have the same prices. Otherwise, a la carte. Nice team. We've been going there every Thursday for 25 years. It's worth it.

We visited the old inn for the first time yesterday – it was wonderful! The buffet selection was very extensive, yet still manageable. The food was very good. Despite the large number of guests, the service staff was not only super friendly and relaxed, but also very prompt with drink orders. Empty plates were cleared away immediately. The value for money is absolutely fine considering the buffet selection. So if you're looking for good, traditional food in the Ruhr area, this is the place to go. I highly recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to our next visit!

The food was always delicious and always a pleasure

The schnitzel itself was very good. Many of the numerous combinations of schnitzel dishes are highly recommended; unfortunately, some of the sauces taste like they came from a packet. But that's understandable, given the size of the menu. We would have liked a bit more fries on our plates. The salad served with it was delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive.

I think the food is delicious and the ambiance is also very nice. (Indoor and outdoor areas. Outside there are pebbles and parasols.) However, the service is not very good. There is a nice waitress, but otherwise the service is not good. The food takes 45 minutes (30 minutes) to arrive, and you are often not asked if you are finished or if you would like anything else. And the waiters are also overwhelmed. Two waiters for 30 tables (indoor and outdoor).

In any case, there were six of us, and everyone enjoyed the service, the atmosphere, and the food. If something was ordered incorrectly, the staff had no problem bringing the correct dish...and always with a smile. This is our fifth time there, and we're always happy to come back. Wonderful summer evening in the beautiful Biergarten. Schnitzel-buffet on Thursdays was excellent.

No, I can't recommend this place. We were a registered group of 24 people. The last ones to arrive were served before the first ones had finished. The schnitzel was supposedly tender, the fries good. The only difference was the sauce carelessly slapped on the meat. The side salad and all the salad plates consisted mostly of pickled vegetables mixed with three leaves of lettuce and arugula. All the ready-made spritzers on the menu were sold out, and over the course of the evening, so was the apple juice. The value for money for all the salad plates was completely disastrous. In addition, card payments are only accepted for orders over €50. If you don't like pre-breaded ready-made schnitzels, you should steer clear of this place. At least today, it wasn't worth recommending.

We ate there once before a year ago and thought the food was great. Today we tried the buffet and it was terrible. Everything was lukewarm to cold. The sauces were ready-made products from a commercial kitchen and tasted awful. The hunter's sauce with the sloppy mushrooms was particularly bad. The vegetables were already gone and hadn't been refilled. There was only a tiny selection of salad. Even the Greek restaurant around the corner has more choice and it tastes a thousand times better. Dessert was vanilla cream with fruit. It tasted like custard powder from a bag with cream. You can't offer something like that and call yourself a restaurant. This place is a case for Frank Rosin. Maybe something can still be salvaged. The manager is friendly, but the rest of the staff needs to be replaced. It's unacceptable. We ate normal portions and yet the fried schnitzels sat like lead in our stomachs. We won't be coming back. We'd waste our money.

Very tasty and large schnitzels, the selection of sauces is very large so there is something for everyone. I can only recommend it and the price is right too

I am always amazed by the huge selection of 150+ schnitzels (and other things too). I eat a different schnitzel every time and have never been disappointed in 20 years. Whether with friends, family or business partners - always a good choice. The beer garden is also great in summer. Many cyclists stop here. Absolutely recommended!

I'm coming out as a native of Herten, okay Distelner, who actually only ordered the asparagus cream soup at Christ yesterday. The waitress looked a bit puzzled at the beginning when I just ordered my soup 😂. Unfortunately there were health reasons for that 🫣. The asparagus cream soup was served with a delicious salad and both were very filling. And with real asparagus from the reed 💚, the asparagus cream was super delicious 😋. The menu is well stocked with almost all types of schnitzel. Even vegans or vegetarians will get their money's worth. The prices are good👍. Next time I visit I'll order a schnitzel again, I promise, dear Christ team 😄!!! So a little tip at the end, before visiting Christ, with the generous portions, don't eat much beforehand 😉.

Well, how do I start?? Went to the dance in May today. We saw the poster outside a month ago. Admission was free and, weather permitting, there would also be a barbecue grill. Today was definitely good weather but still no barbeque grill. However, there were 6 of us who were expecting the grill and were hungry. We were then offered food a la cart. So after we ate and paid for it, we wanted to buy consumption tickets for the May celebration. Suddenly an entry fee of €5 per person was charged. But since we were there specifically, we paid with a grudging eye. On the advance notice poster outside, the “free entry” was covered with an adhesive strip. When we wanted to leave, I still had plenty left on the menu. No problem that you couldn't exchange it. Others then took a bottle of Coke home with them. So I wanted to have a bottle of cola for €11, but I was told that this was no longer allowed. I think that's very borderline. But the food was okay, as was the staff and you had to get drinks yourself later at the counter outside and the DJ was, let's say, a matter of taste. Overall, we were disappointed and will probably visit other locations in the future.

I ate here with my family and I have to say!!!! Simply delicious!! The portions are really big and great! The service is very friendly and quick.

We have eaten at Christ's several times and have always been largely satisfied, but today no one there wanted to have satisfied guests. We were offered a table in the middle of the room and when I made it clear that I didn't feel comfortable there, there were only nonsensical explanations as to why it wasn't possible to get another table. The dining room wasn't even half occupied and nothing really changed as long as we were there. We ordered and I ordered number 193, schnitzel “Küchenmeister” with flambéed king prawns in sauce a la Provence. I was brought the same dish as my wife, i.e. schnitzel with crabs in garlic sauce, and when I complained about it, the waiter became angry and insisted that my dish was exactly as ordered. But there was definitely nothing flambéed, there were no king prawns, there was no Provencal sauce. The boss intervened and after some initial fuss, she at least confirmed that the tiny North Sea crabs were in fact not giant shrimps. On the second attempt I got just a few larger prawns that were swimming in a delicious cheese sauce, ok, still no king prawns, not flambéed and no sauce a'la Provence. But instead she gave me a story about prawns breaking in during the cooking process, so that I had a hard time suppressing a loud snort. But I was getting hungry and so I turned good mine into evil. But there was not a word of apology from the waiter or the boss. She suggested that perhaps they could bring me a free drink. Well, I didn't see anything about a free drink until we left. If this were my shop, I wouldn't have vaguely suggested one, but would have asked directly whether I would prefer a cognac or a liqueur. another shop where you just get ripped off. too bad...

The restaurant lives up to its name and offers an impressive selection of schnitzel variations. The employees were consistently friendly and helpful. However, I had the feeling that the focus here was on quick processing, which was somewhat at the expense of comfort. The quality of the meat was ok, but the different sauces could have had more variety in terms of taste - they seemed more like a basic gravy with different ingredients. Overall, the food was okay, but it lacked that certain something to really delight.

The food is similar to that of a chip shop, even though it is run as a restaurant. The waitresses are very friendly and the service is very good. However, the ambience is "old-fashioned". There is no separate parking space.

After a long time we were at the Schnitzelhaus Christ again at the buffet on Thursday. The food, i.e. the schnitzels, sauces, side dishes and dessert, was very tasty. The service was friendly and always very attentive with drinks and clearing plates. Only the background noise in the large hall in front of the winter garden was quite loud, also because we had a table in the middle and the sound came from all sides. I'm looking forward to the next visit.
