Wir waren zum Spargelessen (Buffet) dort, Spargel reichlich, verschiedene Beilagen. Alles solide und lecker. Tische stehen relativ eng, Service eher "rustikal".

Eine schöne Lokalität. Lädt zum verweilen ein. Super Küche. Gut bürgerliche Küche. Nette Bedienung.

Schöne Atmosphäre. Hier kehrt man zum Wohlfühlen ein. Leckeres Essen. Biergarten lädt zum Verweilen ein. Immer gerne wieder.

Inhabergeführtes Restaurant. Sehr leckeres Essen super Service. Portionen richtig gut. Alles in allem eine 1+

War zum Spargel Buffet eingeladen. Spargel sehr lecker, gut geschält und noch leicht bissfest. Dazu gab es, neben Souce Hollondaise, geschmackvollen rohen und gekochten Schinken. Es wurde eine ganze Seite gebratenen Lachs sowie kleine parnierte Schweineschnitzel und Seelachsfilet geboten. Neben Drillingshälften und Salzkartoffeln, gab es noch diverse Salate, mit Lachsscheiben oder auch Garnelen. Pudding als Nachtisch. Rundum ein angenehmer Abend 😊

Heute mittag angerufen 12.04 Uhr und gefragt ob der Biergarten geöffnet sei, ja wäre geöffnet aber personalprobleme müssten nur unsere Getränke und essen selbst holen ...kein problem dann bis heute Nachmittag. Wir sind um 17 Uhr vor Ort...Zu!!! Ich rufe an und es wird mir gesagt das zu sei...das könnte nicht sein. Das war auch nicht das erste mal , Stock sauer weg umsonst gemacht. Und personalmangel besteht schon seid 3 Jahren 😡 sollen sie doch ganz dicht machen!!!! Und auf der Website steht im übrigen auch geöffnet und die Ruhetage stimmen auch nicht sollte man mal überarbeiten. Und dann noch zu behaupten ich hätte mit niemandem gesprochen der mir dieses sagte!!! Und jetzt hier zu sagen bzw. Zu antworten ich hätte um 12.04 Uhr nicht anrufen können da ihr ja geschlossen habt konnten sie aber um 17.03 Uhr als wir vor der Tür standen auch ans Telefon gehen obwohl es ja geschlossen ist.....absolut lächerlich. Ich weiß das ich im Beisein meines Mannes angerufen habe und auch mit jemanden gesprochen habe der mir auch bestätigte das es personalmangel gibt das restaurant geschlossen ist aber wir gerne in den Biergarten kommen können müssten allerdings Getränke und essen am fenster selber holen da kein Personal da ist. Ist ja auch kein Problem hatten wir letztes Jahr auch, aber wenn wir dann nach unserer Arbeit kommen und es geschlossen ist und man dann anruft vor der Tür und so eine Aussage bekommt es würde nicht stimmen das ich mit jemandem mittags am Telefon gesprochen habe ist es eine absolute Frechheit !!!!! Und ihre Aussage besagt ja jetzt das wäre nicht gegangen aber um 17 Uhr war ja dann wohl auch geschlossen aber sie sind doch dann auch ans Telefon gegangen. Merkwürdig !!! Aber wir hatten diese Erfahrung auf anderer Ebene schon einmal. Für uns definitiv nicht mehr!@@@

Gänse essen war gut, aber der Service unmöglich!! Vom empfohlenen Wein waren nur 2 Flaschen vorhanden. Etwas wenig für 12 Personen ab 20:15 konnte man nur noch Bestellungen direkt an der Theke ab geben. Ab 20:50 wurde man zum Zahlen aufgefordert, was für uns alle als ein Rausschmiss empfunden wurde. FAZIT: KANN MAN NICHT MEHR EMPFEHLEN!!

We had the goose dinner again. There were 10 of us...just like 4 weeks ago...and everyone went home satisfied and well-fed. Thank you for the quick and friendly service, even though the restaurant was fully booked. 👍 In short: We're already looking forward to next year.

Das Restaurant hat eine richtig gemütliche, gepflegte Atmosphäre, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Der Service ist aufmerksam und herzlich, genau so, wie man es sich wünscht. Das Essen ist frisch, hausgemacht und einfach lecker – ehrliche Küche mit Qualität und großzügigen Portionen. Besonders schön finde ich, dass hier noch echte Gastfreundschaft gelebt wird. Ob zum Mittag, Abendessen oder einfach auf ein Getränk – hier stimmt einfach alles. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die gutes Essen und freundlichen Service in Herten suchen!

Ganz ehrlich? Ich habe selten schlechter gegessen. Das Rumpsteak, welches aus eigener Schlachtung stammt, war zäh und mit Sehnen und Knorpeln durchzogen. Ich weiß nicht, wie sowas möglich ist! Wie Kaugummi, die Serviette war voll von ausgespucktem Fleisch. Der dazu gereichte Salat und die Pommes waren okay, die Bedienung flott, freundlich und bemüht. Wir sind uns einig, das war unser erster und letzter Besuch in diesem Lokal.

It was recommended to us as a restaurant with its own butcher shop and large, delicious portions. But we were proven wrong. Any chip shop can do that just as well. And on top of that, the staff are unfriendly. I was asked to move, even though there were plenty of free seats and other guests had arrived later. They could have just asked politely.

A very nice restaurant, in a great location. We visited the beer garden, which has a limited menu, but everyone found something to enjoy. Very quick service for both drinks and food. The prices were absolutely reasonable.

We went there for the schnitzel buffet. It was really delicious: three different schnitzels with fries, vegetables, onions, hollandaise sauce, gypsy sauce, and peppercorn sauce, and glasses of various desserts. Mmm, everything was delicious. It's definitely worth a visit. Try the other buffet days too, it's worth it 😋

After a long bike ride, we were very hungry and, above all, thirsty. In the beer garden, we enjoyed a delicious draft beer and a great meal. Niels had the entire beer garden under control and fulfilled all of the guests' wishes. We had a lovely evening and thank you for the great service!

Nice beer garden. Unfortunately, the operators haven't yet figured out that they can maintain special opening hours. This way, guests can avoid having to stand in front of a closed restaurant even though Maps says it's open (like yesterday, for example, and not the first time this year, by the way).

Tried the asparagus buffet for the first time here for €29.50. The welcome was friendly and welcoming. The interior was simple, rustic, like a pub, but quite cozy. The selection was limited but still sufficient; you have to keep the price in mind. Unfortunately, the fish was only lukewarm and relatively dry from sitting around for so long, which wasn't that enjoyable. The raw and cooked ham was delicious, two kinds of potatoes, asparagus soup, roast beef, asparagus salad, and schnitzel, some of which were quite firm, an asparagus lasagna, a little something else, and finally, a dessert in small glasses (homemade) rounded off the evening. The large bottle of water, be careful, only has a 660 ml capacity left. Overall, okay.

It was really nice there. My pepper schnitzel was excellent.

Good food, delicious wine from Molitor and 6 beers on tap. Very good price/performance ratio, friendly staff and a cozy beer garden. Our small dog is also welcome! My favorite: Iberico pork cutlet and the liver cheese burger.

We ate a witch's buffet here. Price quality very good. There are various buffets once a month. You have to order well in advance.

Guys, how can it be that everything is always fully booked? I was told that reservations can be made in the store or online. Where does it say that I can reserve online?

The Greek evening was very disappointing... The food was cold across the board... If I raise the prices and leave the quality alone, that's not nice...

Expectations of a beer garden for cyclists/day trippers were fully met. Honest, good and inexpensive bourgeois cuisine. Good portions. Very friendly staff. Nice cozy beer garden. Very good price-performance ratio. Update May 2024: Still a clear recommendation, food very good, asparagus with salmon, schnitzel with fried potatoes, I don't know of a place where you can get a good Pinot Gris for €4.50, you definitely have to support it by visiting. The “Spanish Evening” and “Oktoberfest” events we attended are also highly recommended.

We've been going there for goose dinners for years Always very tasty. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is rustic. The good thing is that it's all you can eat and everything can be refilled as often as you like. There are goose legs and breast, dumplings, potatoes, red cabbage, Brussels sprouts, chestnuts, sauce and applesauce. Be sure to book a table in advance. Parking spaces (free of charge) are available in front of the restaurant or behind it.

Super. We've known the new boss for 25 years. The butcher shop, restaurant and service are all top notch. We are regular customers.

Were here for the grill buffet. A great offer from the grill, which really left nothing to be desired. And then senior and junior chefs at the grill... simply GREAT. Big praise also to the kitchen team, led by the senior manager,.....SUPER. And don't forget the service at the table... top notch You are just GREAT.

We were here for the barbecue. Everything was just right here. Starting with the quick and friendly service staff. So many different delicious grilled things, salads and side dishes. The grilled meat was perfectly seasoned and grilled and there was always plenty of it done! This is how I imagine a relaxed barbecue party. There is no mass processing here!

Last time something went wrong with the reservation It wasn't registered the first time The second time you have a wrong name with MY phone number! And today again it's supposedly not entered, I'm not standing at the book and entering it! And then I like to think junior 🤷‍♀️ something unfriendly 🤮

Unfortunately you can't choose zero stars. Today we had an experience of the kind you don't need. We had already booked a double room in January because we were invited to a birthday this weekend and had also received a reservation confirmation by email. Now today, after a 5-hour drive from Leipzig, we were standing in front of the building and everything was closed. During a phone call we were told in a not exactly friendly manner that there was no room available and that we had supposedly received a cancellation. Not a word of regret, no friendliness whatsoever...nothing and then just hung up. I think hospitality looks different.

If you like the flair of an old country house restaurant, this is a great place to be. The location in the middle of the Ried with the beer garden is great. The food is good, home-style and fresh. We think the kitchen is great! The staff and owners are very nice and attentive. Various events such as asparagus buffet, schnitzel buffet and many others are offered. But register in good time, otherwise it will be fully booked. All can be found on the website. Always worth a visit.

Good old bourgeois-run restaurant. With our own butcher shop, we also slaughter ourselves. Only use locally grown food. Everything is freshly prepared, top cook. 👍👍👍👍😁🍗🍾

Been there three times and will come again

It was our first time at the tailor. The food (Jägertopf) was very tasty. And inexpensive too.

We discovered this beer garden by chance. There's a menu hanging outside and we've already chosen something. In the beer garden itself, however, there is a different menu. We quickly found what we were looking for and ordered things like the sauce separately. The waiter was nice and friendly. We were served quickly and the drinks came quickly, and the food was also at the table relatively quickly. We paid just under €40 for two drinks and food. The food was delicious, but we lacked salt on the fries - no problem, it's better to add salt rather than if it was too salty from the start. Since there was no salt on the table, we had to ask for it. My suggestion: either have salt and pepper on the table already or bring it automatically with every meal that is delivered. The fries could have been longer, but that's a matter of taste. The schnitzels were tasty and overall everything was fine. There are parasols and wooden chairs - cushions are in a box that you can take away. The toilets are clean and appear hygienic. A four star rating today, so there is still room for improvement for next time 😉

Went there for dinner yesterday and will go again. The furnishings are reminiscent of the good old Ruhr area pubs, rustic and comfortable. Service very friendly and quick. Food was very good, delicious salad, good schnitzel and great fries. Plus the beer selection, which I didn't expect. All at reasonable prices. I've eaten much worse in much more expensive restaurants. We will be back.

Went to the “Wild Buffet” at Schneider and it was my first visit there. The place is simple. The furnishings are reminiscent of the good old “pub”, very rustic. The food was really very good, plentiful and tasted great. Price-performance is unbeatable. The service and staff were all very friendly and attentive! We immediately made a reservation for another buffet. Yesterday (March 2nd) we went to the hack buffet, unfortunately I can only give it 2.5 stars. The mini burgers were simple meatballs, there was far too little cheese in the bifteki, and the rice was unfortunately only lukewarm to cold, a shame. Service was again friendly and attentive.

We always liked to get a stew on Fridays. The last stew (carrot stew) was a potato stew! As a result, the stew wasn't tasty, it was just too potato-heavy with a too fatty taste. A pity ! Another failure, then that was it for the stews

Rustic decoration but great food and nice service... The bathtub full of ice cream for dessert was something.... We had the goose buffet and it was more than perfect. We would love to come back

Waren früher hier gerne Essen aber mittlerweile ist die Fleischqualität nur noch grauenhaft. Jedesmal Knorpel und Sehnen. Wir haben beide kaum etwas runterbekommen und sollten den kompletten Preis zahlen. Der junge Mann im Service, der auch schon lange dort arbeitet und einen super Job macht, hat alles versucht um die Situation vernünftig zu klären aber wenn der Chef, trotz Nachfrage, noch nicht mal persönlich zum Tisch kommt und sein Personal ständig schickt, dem ist das Wohl der Gäste nicht wichtig und anscheinend auch völlig egal.

Wir kaufen in der "Landmetzgerei Gerner" (Schneider in der Ried) seit Jahren unser/e Fleisch und Wurst. Die Qualität war bisher immer TOP 👍🏻 Allerdings hat diese - Stand heute - absolut nachgelassen! Das Fleisch - Rindsrouladen - dermaßen "scheckig/fleckig" und sehr schlecht geschnitten, um nicht zu sagen, ausgefranst. 🙈 Auch die Schweineschnitzel nur noch Discounter-Qualität - wässrig und schmierig. SO kennen wir diese Landmetzgerei überhaupt nicht und hat uns ehrlich gesagt sprachlos gemacht. Wir hoffen, dass sich die Qualität wieder normalisiert. Denn wenn man schon mehr bezahlt, möchte man auch entsprechende Qualität. Ansonsten ginge auch der Weg zum Discounter - dann eben nur günstiger. Bitte lasst die Qualität nicht schleifen 🙏🏻

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, urig aber sehr sauber. Service war wirklich gut, der junge Mann war stets da und freundlich. Das Essen hingegen, naja....Steak leider ziemlich zäh und von Sehnen durchzogen. Karte wohl das minimalistischte was icj je gesehen habe. Schade

Eigentlich wollten wir einen schönen Maiabend im Biergarten verbringen, leider kamm der Regen und wir haben es uns in der Wirtstube gemütlich gemacht. Die bestellten Getränke und Speisekarte wurden super schnell geliefert. Da es eine Spargelkarte gab wurde frischer Spargel in verschiedenen Varianten bestellt und es war soooooo lecker.Danke an die Küche dem Service und dem freundlichen Wirt.Hier kann man definitiv einkehren. Einfach mal im Internet die Seite anwählen und nachsehen, ob etwas für einen dabei ist. Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal da. Einfach mal ausprobieren.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, tolle Bedienung, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, richtig gutes und besonders leckeres Essen. Es ist nur zu Empfehlen hier mal einzukehren. Wir werden es tun.

Schöne Pensionszimmer, sogar eine kleine Küche mit Kaffeeautomat. Das das Bad auf dem Flur ist hat uns nicht gestört, da wir alles für uns alleine hatten. Leckeres Frühstück mit Aufschnitt aus der eigenen Schlachterei. Kommen gerne wieder.

Parkplatz am Haus, Toiletten im Keller. Ideal für Radler. All yuo can eat, Freitags. Immer verschiedenes. Zum Rouladen essen waren wir auch schon da. Es gab verschiedene Rouladen z. B. Rind, Schwein, Pute und Kohlroulade. Auch beim Schnitzeltag gab es verschiedenes Fleisch.
