Schnellrestaurant Wissing in Kleve

Just ate here on the recommendation of someone on the Facebook page Shopping in Germany. The schnitzels were delicious, we received a tip from other Dutch people who were there to have the children share them because the small ones were already big enough. We ordered rosti rounds with vegetables and fries special. Delicious meal for just over €50 with two adults and two children (so ordered 1 menu for that)

From the front it looks like nothing, but when you enter it is surprisingly large. Both had schnitzel. With fried potatoes. Was delicious. And cheap too. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately we were disappointed, we had a currywurst with fries and mayo...the currywurst from a coarse bratwurst...the sausage was dripping with fat and the fries weren't really tasty either, I'm sorry, we didn't finish it either , every 2-3 bites, when paying at the counter we were asked whether it was tasty, but when we answered, "Unfortunately not", it was not addressed, well, we won't be coming back.

Well prices go higher and higher with poorer quality and taste. Apparently people have been pouring vegetable broth into sauces for some time now. We don't like it that much anymore. Service isn't great either. The young man with glasses at the checkout just doesn't feel like working, and you can tell. Update 10/19/24: we wanted to give wissing another chance. And were disappointed again. Burger buns were anything but fresh. Then take them off the map. The cards are extremely smeared with greasy sauces etc. Our beer mats were used and dirty. The entire smoking area was dirty and had leftover food on the floor. Patty is said to have weighed 200 grams, which I think is an exaggeration. It should be Angus beef. Unfortunately you can't taste it because the meat died twice. Completely through...... shame about the animal. As I was leaving, my wife wanted to have everything packed up that she hadn't managed. This was also done without any problems. Only the gentleman packed the salad in paper bowls and also covered it with paper, unbelievable. My girlfriend then had dirty pants at home because the salad dressing ran through the paper...... We will 100% never come to this store again. P.s. The good reviews all come from the previous owner. Everything bad from the current one. Just because you get the name doesn't mean it's the same store. Maybe Google can delete all reviews from over 3 years ago. Every weather the store doesn't even get 2 stars

That was nothing - a waste of time and money! Today we went to the Wissing fast(!) restaurant. We were able to place our drink order quite quickly. They were also served in a timely manner. Then it was time to wait, wait, wait and we were able to watch as their food was served at the neighboring table, where around 12 guests were sitting. The first four dishes were brought. Almost 15 minutes later more food arrived. And then the food again for the remaining guests, when the first ones had already finished their dish. After about 50 minutes we asked when we could expect our food. We actually considered paying for our drinks and leaving. Guests who came at the same time as us had already left. We continued to wait and ordered new drinks again, which further increased the later bill. Overall it was very restless and uncomfortable. Then finally, after more than an hour (!) of waiting, our food was served. The gyros on the farmer's plate were cold, the skewer was hot but tasted like a gas grill. Both were bland and unseasoned. The other two dishes were also disappointing in terms of taste. We didn't finish the portions. When paying we were asked if everything was OK, to which we truthfully said that the wait was too long for a fast food restaurant and that we were out of food. G. Reason didn't taste good. Three people were involved in the service (order taking, serving, cashier), which was probably also responsible for the unfavorable process. Result for us: The food wasn't worth the time and money. Too bad...

Wir haben IMMER gerne die Schnitzel von Wissink gegessen. Jetzt zum 2 mal sehr trockene Schnitzel die ABSOLUT nicht schmecken gehabt.

It was delicious. We really enjoyed the schnitzel with asparagus and mozzarella cheese. Friendly staff. It was a fantastic day in Germany

Small but nice and cozy restaurant, we went for the second time. Not expensive, you really get a lot. We often eat schnitzel here and it is so big when you order a large one that it almost falls off your plate. All in all a good restaurant, very good service, highly recommended!

Unfortunately, this time we were very dissatisfied with the food. The chicken schnitzels were of poor quality and tasted bland. The broccoli was neither seasoned nor cooked. We were asked if it tasted good. Our answer was of course, no not good (with an explanation why). There was no response, not even a sorry. It's a shame, there are many other places where you are treated better. We will no longer recommend it.

Great schnitzel, we can only recommend it. We ordered a large schnitzel and a small one arrived. We told the waitress and got a small schnitzel to take away. Mistakes can happen and they were solved in an accommodating manner. Thank you very much and we will be back.

Salad delicious, fries good, gyro meat dry, half chicken was very dry.

You can quickly order and eat something at this restaurant. There is an indoor and outdoor area where you can eat. Service is very fast. It's not very fancy, but you can enjoy good food there. It is also not very expensive.

The Wissing fast-food restaurant is a very good place to go if you're hungry for delicious schnitzel. I ate a shepherd's schnitzel special with fries there and I have to say it was very, very tasty. Friendly staff waited a maximum of 30 minutes for the food. All in all, highly recommended

For many years, THE fast-food restaurant and THE constant in Kleve when it comes to delicious schnitzels. I've been here for many years and it's still as delicious as ever: juicy schnitzel, crispy coated and the various toppings are all a feast for the palate. My favorite at the moment: Shepherd’s Schnitzel Special Plus delicious fries. Thank you for this experience and please keep it up!

It is a more upmarket quality, quick service restaurant. Table service, covered terrace so you can sit comfortably on very hot days. Also a heat lamp for chilly days. Food delicious, crispy fries, exactly what I want.

The schnitzels tasted great and the portions are good. However, it really feels like a snack bar. We had made a reservation, but were placed in an uncomfortable corner near the toilets. Staff was not really cordial. Not for us anymore.

The staff (at least the gentleman who served us) was very rude when I asked for a little more sauce on my large portion of fries. The food was average. An ashtray was only available after the third time we asked.

Been there again for a long time. Unfortunately I have to say that we (girlfriend+me) were very disappointed. We ordered a pepper cream + a shepherd's schnitzel, both with fries mayo, and a total of 4 cola. The schnitzels were OK. Nothing special, but not bad either, although the shepherd's schnitzel didn't look very tasty in my opinion. They also seemed like they were small ones, even though we had ordered large ones. The fries were, firstly, a portion that was far too small and secondly, they were so “crispy” that most of them fell apart when you tried to get them on the fork. We were used to much larger portions before. When it came to the drinks, we had the feeling that they tasted somehow “weird”. My friend pointed out to me that there was hardly any carbonation in her cola. The real surprise came at the end at the checkout: the fun cost 49.60. For a “fast-food restaurant” (or in High German “upscale chip shop”) that is VERY expensive. It was probably mainly the drinks. It cost 5 euros per glass, I guess getting the carbonation out costs extra. All joking aside, I don't usually pay much attention to money when I go out to eat, but at this price the food has to be really good and not "bad to OK". Unfortunately, that was probably my last visit to Wissing, which is a shame, but fortunately there are still alternatives in Kleve (albeit few) that offer more and better food at a lower price.

I enjoyed coming there and recommended it to friends and colleagues! but apparently a new owner and/or new staff?! We did not really feel welcome because there was certainly no welcome and appearance 0.0. schnitzel used to be crispy and is now a limp bite. Will I eat there again? Certainly not with this quality of food and service!!!

Guernsey dish taken, the gieros was not fresh, a lot of fat on it and it was heated in the microwave, it was not for eating, we brought them in and they couldn't do anything about it, too bad we will never come there again

On the advice of acquaintances, we went to this restaurant after a visit to Kleve to eat 'old-fashioned' schnitzel. Nothing too much has been said. What a recommendation. Delicious schnitzel with fries. Big is really big. If you only choose the schnitzel, that is really enough. If you want fries with it, then as an average eater I would opt for a small schnitzel. The price-quality ratio was far apart. Super quality for a low price. Nice and fast service. If you are in Kleve, end your day here with a delicious dinner. If you come after six in the evening, the chance of getting a table is small, so reservations are not an unnecessary luxury.

Large schnitzels very tasty 3 minutes at Aldi van Daan.

Been a customer for 45 years, food completely tasteless for the second time. Sauce for the schnitzel only has the consistency of a sauce. Fries were a children's portion. My wife's spagetti Bolognese also had no taste. Asked the cashier about it. Answer: You are not alone with your complaint. That was it then...

Ich hatte den Schnellimbiss als guten Imbiss in Erinnerung. Leider wurde ich am Wochenende enttäuscht. Pommes Mayo waren ok, Currywurst labbrig ohne Röst-Aromen, die Lange Spezial eine riesige Enttäuschung. Obwohl separat bestellt. Labbrig, fettig unter die Pommes gelegt, Mayo, Ketchup und Zwiebeln (Hätte man auch ein Messer und eine ganze Zwiebel hinlegen können, so groß waren die Zwiebelstücke) haben ihr Ziel verfehlt und lagen in der Currysoße. Meine Frau hatte ebenfalls mit der labbrigen ungarischen Wurst zu kämpfen. Kaltgetränke in Form von Radler gab es nur eins, die restlichen Biere waren warm, weil, wie sagte der Kellner: Wegen Samstag. Anscheinend hat Samstags die Kühlung Ruhetag. Kann natürlich auch an der Kirmes gelegen haben, dass man nicht bei Zeiten Kaltgetränke in den Kühlschrank räumt. Und Kaffee gibt es ab 20:00 Uhr auch nicht mehr, da Maschine schon Pause hat. Tische, Stuhllehnen und Speisekarte fühlten sich extrem speckig an. Vielleicht mal mit einem feuchten Tuch und etwas Spüli reinigen, bewirkt Wunder. Alles in Allem ein sehr enttäuschender Imbiss, schade hatte mal einen so guten Ruf in Kleve und Umgebung.

Das waren die schlechtesten Pommes die ich gegessen habe. Uraltes Fett Die Pommes teilweise nicht zu essen. Teilweise nicht zu Beißen,schwarz. Nie wieder. Das waren die Reste aus der Frietier Schale. Unverschämt sowas anzubieten Das ist Katzenfutter noch besser

After a long time we went back to Kleve to get something to eat. I had to wait a long time until I could place my order because we were left standing there stupidly. What I saw later while waiting didn't work at all. Young man behind the counter with earrings and a pigtail playing with his hair, eating fries. He washed glasses and brought food to customers at the table. Washing your hands and hygiene don't play a role here. . 🤮🤮🤮 Our Burgschnitzel was not seasoned at all and fried in fat for too long. The quality has clearly deteriorated here and we won't be buying anything here anymore.

Unfortunately, our visit to the Wissing fast food restaurant after the fair disappointed us. The drinks tasted unpleasant, almost as if they were stale, and the fries reached us already cold. The biggest disappointment, however, was the currywurst my wife ordered - it was the worst we've ever had. A friendly service staff might have been able to save something, but unfortunately this wasn't the case either. We regret to say that we can no longer recommend the Wissing fast food restaurant.

Delicious for the first time. My son even really liked the salad. Unfortunately he only forgot his coat😅, but when I called they had already put it away neatly. Very friendly people. Will come back soon for the jacket and of course the delicious schnitzel.

We were there for the first time today, were on holiday nearby and had a huge appetite for schnitzel. We were not disappointed, very tasty and, above all, large schnitzels! The service was also great, the ambience is great and the price-performance ratio was really great! We'd love to come back when we get the chance! 😊

Gyros counter, unfortunately very dry and hard meat

One of the best restaurants to eat a delicious schnitzel. Enjoy a nice German meal with a Warsteiner. Very large choice of different schnitzels on this extensive menu. The schnitzel with additions and then the gratinated cheese is really great, not boring at all. The Hirtenschnitzel-Spezial is highly recommended There is much room for improvement in terms of atmosphere. It looks a bit like a canteen and a roadside restaurant. Some music would have helped with the atmosphere. But otherwise everything is super clean, even the toilet. Keep up the good work!

Yesterday we spent a day in Germany for my birthday and we ate here for the first time, but we will remember this place. The food was really delicious. We are big eaters and come to Germany a lot, so we are certainly used to something. But these cutlets were really big. Very nice service and the food was ready quickly. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quantity you get. A nice and tasty end to my day.

We have been coming there for years and mainly because the schnitzels are so large. This time I ordered a small and a large one, but the large one has become a small one while the prices are only going up. You also pay for soft drinks that do not contain sparkling. It's all a shame, so it was probably our last time. The gentlemen who work there are very friendly so that the lady who works there can learn a lot from them!

Very, very bad, my wife and I got completely different food than what we ordered and the egg white was still completely liquid. Unfriendly staff and after eating we felt sick and had real stomach cramps.

On this beautiful sunny Saturday we drove from Borken to Lake Wisseler. Had a wonderful walk. Afterwards we were very hungry but “Das Schnitzelhaus” wasn’t open until 5 p.m. today. So off to Kleve to the Wissing fast food restaurant. We found it good and there were enough parking spaces. We had a schnitzel plain with fries and two large schnitzels Wissing with asparagus and hollandaise sauce with cheese gratin and fries. We enjoyed it very much. My eyes were bigger than my stomach again. I just warmed up the rest and it was still very tasty. Gladly again…😀

Often eaten here, but this time the schnitzels were tasteless. Without a topping, the schnitzels are without taste. Perhaps a different supplier. This is the last time we will eat here. You're full, but with what? When reported upon departure: a very 'lukewarm' response. Shame.

Aangename verrassing op deze zaterdag namiddag dat we hier terecht waren gekomen. Er is een zeer ruime kaart met vele snitsels variaties en andere vlees gerechten. Wij hadden de schweine steaks, 1 met kruidenboter en gebakken aardappeltjes en 1 met uien/ champignons en rijst en n salade. Alles was erg lekker en voor n herhaling vatbaar! Bis nächte mal.

Kind of cafeteria with seating area. But with schnitzels, sausage and burgers. Really delicious food for little money and the grose schnitzel is also really big. Can only say that it is worth repeating.

Yesterday I was in Kleve near Kaufland. We did some lovely cheap shopping and then had a bite to eat. It's a quick meal and you get your food quickly. You can choose between small dish and large. You have to pay for everything separately. So your schnitzel separately, but also a portion of fries and the sauces. But still very tasty and affordable and with a lot of choice. I think/thought it was very successful. Just like the rest of my family. 👍

Het eten is hier heel erg lekker. Ik ga er al 4 jaar heen en elke keer eet ik hier met plezier. Ik heb hier ook de eerste keer uit eten gegaan met mijn huidige vrouw.De service is zeer goed en je kunt ook merken dat er echt met plezier wordt gewerkt. Zelfs de kleinste worden hier nog verwent met een lekker snoepje. Ik geef om deze redenen een dikke 5 sterren. The good here is excellent. I am already going here for at least 4 years. This is also the place where my wife and I had our first dinner date. The service here is really good and you can see that the people here are working with joy. Even the smallest are getting spoiled with some nice candy after dinner. For all these reasons I give this restaurant a big fat 5 stars.

Gegen die Qualität kann man nicht meckern aber die Preise wurde drastisch erhöht und dabei das schlimmste war das die Menge von den Speisen halbiert wurde.die Spagetti überbacken kam vor als währe es ein kindermenu.

Wir hatten Schnitzel überbacken,die Schnitzel waren sehr ,sehr trocken.Ich werde nicht wiederkommen.

Heerlijke schnitzels gegeten! Echt voor elk wat wils en voor een hele nette prijs!

Bin mit allem zufrieden. Komme immer wieder gerne.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 6 Personen dort. Insgesamt hat es allen gut geschmeckt. Die Portionen waren ausreichend groß und das Essen für eine Pommesbude üblich angerichtet. Trotz des vollen Ladens war der Service gut, und wir haben nicht lange auf unser Essen gewartet.

Lekkere snitsels! Bediening is wisselend. Goulash soep was matig. Tip: bestel een kleine snitsel ;-). En een gewone salade is genoeg voor meerdere personen en erg lekker

Heerlijke schnitzels. Vriendelijk personeel. Altijd goede kwaliteit. Komen er graag.

Prima schnitzel met frites. Ruime keuze in echt Duits eten. Prima prijs en de kwaliteit is Prima. Voor de vegetariër is er niet veel keuze, maar het is er wel. De large is echt groot.
