We come here once a year and always have a great time. Don't expect culinary highlights; it's just simple German food. It's a refined snack bar with good service. If you're looking for a fine dining experience in a charming restaurant, you'd be better off driving past it.

We have been to Wissing several times [2 times schnitzel with fries and 1 time with extra hunter's sauce] and were actually always satisfied, but now we noticed an item on the receipt with an extra €0.50. We asked for a receipt on our next visit and again the same item. When we asked what this item was and they told us that the 0.50 cents was for the bowl with the hunter's sauce in it. We don't understand that, it's the same as if they were charging extra for the plates and glasses that had food and drinks in them. We think that is a bottomless cheek. This was the last time we were there.

We ate here after reading many positive reviews. The atmosphere was stuffy, the tables sticky. The staff wasn't friendly. They seemed tired and exhausted. I spoke to them in German, so it couldn't have been the language barrier. The schnitzels were tough, the sauces were bland, and the fried potatoes were far too greasy. All in all, we were disappointed, which was a shame.

The food itself is always delicious. But how difficult is it to put mayonnaise on fries when you order them? This has happened three times now, and I find it ridiculous that it happens so often.

The small schnitzel was quite large. If you like sour, the salad is definitely recommended. The bratkartoffel is fried with onion and bacon. The food arrived fairly quickly, but was so-so. We won't be back and will probably go across the street to the Greek restaurant next time.

We ordered lunch for 12 people on Sunday. Everything was checked off on the receipt. When we got home we noticed that several things were missing. There was one too few currywursts, one fries with mayo was missing, one fries without anything was missing and the quality wasn't as good as it used to be. The Jägerschnitzel used to be better. The Schnitzel Spezial didn't have any schnitzel at all. There was far too much sauce and mayo on it. You couldn't see the schnitzel at all under all the mush. We tried calling several times to say something was missing but nobody ever answered the phone. And unfortunately the prices are getting higher and higher. It's gotten very expensive for bad food. I used to be really impressed with Wissing but unfortunately things have really gone downhill.

We tried Wissing again today. The food was okay. But the prices are ridiculous these days. You think twice about whether to go out to eat or make something yourself at home. But what's even worse is that once you've eaten, you think about what you're going to eat next. The portions aren't right. We had takeaway food, and none of us were full. I think that's a real shame, given the prices. And then there's this outrageous extra charge if you want the tzatziki separately and don't eat straight away.

The service was super friendly, the portions were just right, and there was a great variety. Our surprise was finding a waiter who spoke Spanish. This is great for Spanish tourists. He was also super nice and friendly. Definitely recommended.

It was my first time there in a long time, and the quality is getting worse and worse. 🤢 The fries were deep-fried and accordingly hard. The schnitzel was completely full of gristle. Simply inedible. 🤢🤢🤢 Unfortunately, you can't give zero stars.

The fries looked like they were three days old, reheated, and some were made of stone. The schnitzel was very dry, and the thinner parts were burnt!! I definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

We parked our car on the parking lot and a worker (dark hair, dark framed glasses) of the restaurant (who was unloading his car) started yelling and cussing at us in German for no reason. We wanted to go away, but we were so hungry so we gave it a shot. Hoping that that rude employee was not the cook. The food was good qnd came quite fast, but the place was infested with flies.

The food is delicious and well-made. My main criticism is of the "premium burgers," which a) are significantly more expensive and b) are, in my opinion, not premium in terms of either the ingredients or the preparation method. It's a decent beef patty that's overcooked and doesn't come across well due to the high sauce content. A fairly standard sesame bun and an unbalanced amount of other ingredients. The staff are really quick and friendly. The ambiance is okay, but nothing more than standard.

We were taken here to eat. We were told in advance that the entourage was not much but that the food was excellent! We thought the entourage was not too bad, we make a road trip through Germany every year and visit many different restaurants. We thought it was quite nice for once. And honestly, the food was fantastic! My boyfriend always complains everywhere that it is not enough and he was even full haha. Huge portions for really very little money. And the choice is also great... It is not a Michelin restaurant! But definitely worth it for every now and then...

10-5-2025 Ate there last weekend. It is indeed going downhill. Talking under their breath and denying that they made a mistake, but still presenting a large bill. Offer the same service as 3 years ago and you will have the place full again. 10-5-2025

What a great restaurant! Search for schnitzel on Google maps and Wissing is the first to come by! A huge range of schnitzels and other 'fleischgerei' ;-) Tip for the Dutch, think carefully before you take a big schnitzel XD I will definitely come back here when I'm in the area again!

Good (fast) restaurant with wide choice and both Dutch and German-speaking service! Perfect to fill your belly before you go shopping in Germany (for the Dutch there) which will save you money on groceries 😂

We were a shop tourist for a while and came across this restaurant, we really liked it. Especially a great choice of different schnitzels, friendly staff and fast service. Delicious food, good business. We will definitely go back!

Prima eten voor een goede prijs. Heerlijke Schnitzels in veel variaties. Beetje ongezellig ingericht wel vriendelijk personeel.

Food is ok. But for some dishes the price-performance ratio is not right. E.g. Gyros plate 16.90 where I get a salad, where I am not asked what I like on site. Gyros portion is ok, but tzatziki far too little. And if I don't like half of the salad and don't eat my gyros because I don't like it without tzatziki If it's too dry, I think 16.90 is quite a lot for the dish. Some pieces were burnt and so dry that unfortunately they couldn't be eaten. Otherwise we like to come, but sometimes it's overpriced when I can get the same dish for 1 euro cheaper at a Greek restaurant.

I was a regular customer but after I got schnitzel there at the weekend, I got 2 broccoli schnitzel once in large and once in small....when I opened the box both schnitzels were the same size...also according to the scales after weighing them both were almost identical weight on ..... you've raised the prices so much but then you've been tricking around .... then where is the hollandaise sauce that you really have to look for .... for the price you can get something different where better schnitzel

Food is mostly okay. It's almost always full here, which really surprises me given the sometimes really impossible service in the restaurant area. It's not uncommon for you to get annoyed, even if you're a regular customer with more than 30 years of loyalty.

We ate schnitzel here and were not satisfied. Portions are manageable and not very tasty. The sauces (pepper and Champion sauce) taste like ready-made products. And the champions probably come out of a can. We were there for the first and probably the last time.

Food: They food is absolutely amazing wether you go for chicken or for schnitzel it's always delicious and always cooked perfectly. It's a large menu that they recently refreshed (disclaimer: recently for me I have seen it my last 3 visits and I come from time to time so in reality the new menu is there for almost 6 months) didn't try the burgers yet. Will try them for reviews sake, but the legendary schnitzel is what I come from. They are very large so your belly will be happy when you done. Service: Staff is always kind and friendly, unfortunately you CAN see it from theire faces when they don't feel like it that day. They still help you just as well but you can't help but notice the lack of motivation and lack of a smile sometimes. So that's why I put 4 stars like I said: they still help you just as good but as guest you wanna see them smile cause if they don't it tells you something. Just make sure if you see this to help m out and see if you can make m smile even if it's just for a moment. Atmosphere: it's a nice place to sit with a nice roof covered (tent style) terrace it's nothing spectacular fancy but still a nice place to sit. The atmosphere does unfortunately depend on how busy it is. The bussier the better the atmosphere. I know in restaurants that's normal but here they really depend on that factor. I also feel they can keep the place a bit cleaner. Often when I come there are dirty tables and that's not really nice. I would say the atmosphere rating would be 2 stars when sitting indoors and 3 when sitting outside. And in summer days the sun helps them out and outside would be a 4. So imma keep this a 3 for average. Again despite the details I would highly recommend giving the place a try your belly will tell you your happy🥰
