Wir haben erst das Bahnhof Museum besucht und anschließend hier Mittagessen. Wie ich hier wohnen würde wäre das mein Gasthof, das Essen ist ein Knaller so lecker habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen und meine Frau bestätigt das. Hier fühlt man sich richtig wohl.

Großartiges Essen und toller Service! Wir waren in der Schmugglerhütte in Bayrisch Eisenstein und sind absolut begeistert. Ich hatte das **Schnitzel vom Jungschwein** und es war einfach hervorragend: Das Fleisch war wunderbar zart und die Panade perfekt knusprig, genau so, wie ein Schnitzel sein muss! Dazu gab es einen schönen, frischen kleinen Beilagensalat. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch die Flexibilität der Küche: Auf Sonderwünsche wird hier ohne Probleme eingegangen – mein Wunsch, das Schnitzel etwas dünner zu machen, wurde perfekt umgesetzt. Der Service war freundlich, die Atmosphäre gemütlich. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! Absolute Empfehlung!

Top Wirt, Top Service, sehr sehr leckeres Essen. Spontan an zwei Tagen einen Platz für 19 Personen bekommen. Großes Lob an den Wirt und seine Servicekraft. Die wirklich sehr geduldig mit einer großen „Bagage“ mit vielen hungrigen (und unentschlossenen) Kindern hatten.

Wir (Urlauber, 10 Erwachsene und 9 Kinder, waren Samstags am Abend relativ spontan da, der Wirt und der Kellner waren unglaublich nett und auch flott, das Essen war frisch und sehr gut. Sind dann am Sonntag Abend direkt nochmal da hin. Habe noch nie erlebt dass man mit so einer großen Gruppe so zuvorkommend und freundlich empfangen wird.

Wir hatten ein sehr angenehmes Esserlebnis in diesem Restaurant. Das Ambiente ist warm und einladend und bietet eine tolle Atmosphäre zum Genießen. Das Essen war schmackhaft, gut zubereitet und wurde zügig serviert. Der Service war während unseres gesamten Besuchs freundlich, und ein besonderes Lob gilt dem Küchenteam. Es war eine nette Geste, dass einer der Köche die Gäste persönlich begrüßte, was den Besuch noch herzlicher und authentischer machte. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die Lage – das Restaurant liegt ganz in der Nähe des Bahnhofs und ist somit eine praktische Wahl, egal ob man auf der Durchreise ist oder sich mit Freunden in der Nähe trifft. Insgesamt ein tolles Restaurant für gute deutsche Küche, herzliche Gastfreundschaft und ein angenehmes Esserlebnis. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Gutes Essen mit moderaten Preisen

Rustikal, gemütlich, sehr freundliche und flotte Bedienung. Camembert selbst paniert und Gemüsefrikadellen ebenfalls selbst gemacht, dazu ein sehr guter gemischter Salat.

Habe heute Schäuferle gegessen. Sehr lecker. Der Service und das Ambiente auch sehr schön. Bin sehr freundlich empfangen worden und sehr nett bedient werden. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Hier ist preislich die Welt noch in Ordnung. Jederzeit zu empfehlen.

Super lecker essen und Ambiente

Nettes gut besuchtes Lokal an der Bahn. Am besten vorab reservieren. Wir hatten alle die Currywurst mit Pommes und die war lecker. Der Service war unterhaltsam und ordentlich.

Das Essen ist frisch und lecker, von der geräucherter Forelle mit Rösti und Salat wurde ich aber nicht satt. Trotzdem: empfehlenswert!

Rustikales, schönes Wirtshaus. Die Bedienung war geduldig und sehr freundlich. Der Pichelsteiner Eintopf war super. Ich würde ohne bedenken wieder hingehen.

Waren nun schon das zweite Mal da. Kellner sehr nett und gut organisiert. Essen wird frisch zubereitet und war echt köstlich. Ambiente der Holzhütte ist echt urig. Liegt ein paar Meter vom Bahnhof entfernt, aber sehr zu empfehlen. Wenns warm ist, haben die auch nen tollen Biergarten. Wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder vorbei 🤗

Wir haben einen Kurzurlaub in Bayerisch Eisenstein gemacht. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist wirklich super. Die Portionen machen satt. Die Hütte selbst hat einen richtigen urigen Charme den jeder Bayer zu schätzen weiß. Die Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam. Wer möchte kann hier auch Mitbringsel kaufen. Im nächsten Urlaub werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Immer wieder eine Reise wert. Hier werden die Schnitzel einzeln geklopft und nicht aus der TK geholt. Klare Empfehlung. Service top, Preise ebenfalls.

Rustikal, leckeres Essen, nettes Personal

Sympathisch rustikale Hütte am historischen Bahnhof Eisenstein. Die Karte bietet typisch bürgerliche Küche mit bayerischem wie auch böhmischem Einschlag. Da ich per Rad im Fly-by war, entschied ich mich hiervon losgelöst für „Currywurst mit Pommes frites“. Überraschung: Ich erhielt eine rote Wurst, perfekt gebraten, die sehr zu lobende Soße brachte Aromen von Apfel und Mango zum Vorschein, und die Pommes waren einfach gut. Am Nachbartisch gab’s großes Lob für Reibekuchen. Also, da kann man hingehen!

Die Schmugglerhütte in Bayer. Eisenstein ist ein Geheimtyp für jeden der hier in der Nähe Urlaub macht. Ambiente und Essen hervorragend, deswegen kann ich 5 Sterne vergeben.

Essen super super lecker, waren hier mit 4 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern. Und haben von allem was probiert, Fisch Schäuferl, Käse und Schnitzel. Alle waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen sicher noch mal wieder.

Sehr schöne Hütte. Wir waren im Januar 2026 dort. Sehr guter und freundlicher Service. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Kleine aber feine Speisekarte. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, wenn wir mal wieder in der nähe sind.

The food was okay. The schnitzel was reheated. Nothing special. They didn't even offer fried potatoes. Only fries or potato salad. The schnitzel came without lemon. The salad was basically just watery leftovers. So, everything was prepared without any care. Quick, quick, quick... Unfortunately, we won't be back. The atmosphere is good. The service is good too.

The smuggler's hut with Heinz as its unique host. It's a place you'll love to linger. We discovered the hut in 2020, and since then, a visit to Heinz's has been a must on every Bavarian Forest vacation. This hut, with its host, radiates a warmth that is truly one of a kind. Beautiful and rustic atmosphere. The interior design is fantastic. The staff was quick and very polite. The food was perfect for the price and the portions were generous. You feel right at home here. We'd love to come back. A definite 5-star recommendation.

Unfortunately, we discovered it too late. Since we were traveling with a dog, we weren't brave enough to go in at first. But it wasn't a problem. The server was very friendly, and the cakes were large pieces. We wanted to come back for more Liwanzen. But I'll be back.

Food was reserved 7 hours in advance, food preferences were written down again upon arrival and then forgotten.

We've been here several times while on vacation, just for a coffee or a pilsner. We also tried the menu. The cordon bleu, sausage salad, and cake are all truly delicious. The prices are good and affordable. It's very good value for money. The service is also excellent. I noticed short wait times after placing my order. The very clean interior with a pleasant atmosphere and a lovely terrace behind the building invites you to linger. The food is homemade and fresh, simply superb.

The food isn't anything extraordinary, but it's tasty. The cake is amazing; you definitely have to try it. The entire staff is very friendly. The name "Smuggler's Hut" fits the ambiance.

Delicious homemade cakes. Friendly service.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a convincing visit. There were three of us at the Schmugglerhütte and we ordered three drinks and two small dishes. The beer garden was well-filled, but there were still a few tables available. Even taking our order took quite a while – which wasn't a problem for us at first. But it took a long time before our drinks and food finally arrived. The wait staff seemed visibly overwhelmed, and there was no clear structure in the way they served the tables. The dishes themselves were simple and down-to-earth – nothing complicated – so the long wait was hard to understand. It seems like the business quickly reaches its limits with a fully occupied beer garden. Perhaps the service runs much more smoothly when the crowds are less crowded, but the overall experience on our visit was unfortunately not convincing. Conclusion: Based on our visit, we unfortunately can't really recommend the Schmugglerhütte.

The schnitzel served here is exceptionally delicious! It was even open on Corpus Christi! Highly recommended!

The currywurst was cold. Catering requires a lot of skill, the people were indisposed!!!!! The fruit tea I ordered was lukewarm, and the glass was no bigger than a thimble. Tasted like dirty water.

Outstanding... That's what I can say about the place. The food was perfect, and the service was even better. As a German with a migration background, I felt very welcome. A top-notch value for money. A schnitzel, fries, and salad were only €14.90. Hence the well-deserved €15 tip.

There was a Bavarian beer garden in the menu, there wasn't a big selection, I had a knuckle with dumplings, it wasn't anything special. The wait staff had a lot to do and didn't have much time for us

Cozy hut and super delicious food. One of the best schnitzels I've ever eaten. The fish was also simply perfect, I have rarely had such good trout. We were really excited. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. That's exactly how it has to be. Great respect!! I'm not someone who normally orders dessert, but here I was curious and we ordered a bee sting and the Bohemian Liwanzen. What can I say, just awesome and we go home with 2kg more on our ribs and full 😁😇 We'll definitely be back and you can still get gas cheaply around the corner. What more could a Swabian want 😇
