We were here for the first and not the last time. The ambience is just beautiful and you feel comfortable. The service was great and extremely polite. The food was just wow. My wife had the schnitzel and it was very tasty and looked great. I can only recommend it. I had the steak and well what can I say. It was simply a 10 out of 10. Everything was perfect. I wanted it Meduim and that's how I got it. The chef definitely knows what he's doing. We can only recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience and a good heart.

Excellent food and great service. We were there with 3 children. They got the food first and then the adults. Small indoor play area. There is also a kind of outdoor garden with toys. However, this should be brought into shape a bit. Toilets super clean and modern. Thank you for the lovely evening.

A special decoration of the meal was very appetizing with friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere.

We've been going to Bayrisch Eisenstein up to twice a year for 4 years and we only eat at Tomas and Petra's. The food is perfectly combined and coordinated. The ingredients are very well selected and always beautifully presented to the eye. Petra and her team of ladies are so quick and attentive that sometimes you wish there weren't as many people loving the food as we do, so you can chat for a while longer. I can only agree with the positive reviews. Fantastic food, more than sufficient portions, competent staff and lovely ambience. Even though it's not my usual style, I was a guest there twice during my four-day stay in town. Must try: The pepper steak platter.

On the evening of our arrival in Bayerisch Eisenstein we went for a beer in the beer garden. We were welcomed and served very friendly. The atmosphere both on the terrace and in the restaurant itself is very nice and cozy. There is also a good selection of beers from different breweries.

Perfect food, excellently served and accompanied by excellent service, even in Czech. The inn, the first from the train museum, is located at the Alžbětin station near Bayer Eisenstein. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it's cozy and after the beautifully served food is delivered, you only have eyes for the plate. After tasting the food... Well, it's just a bomb. There were four of us and in the end we tasted everything between us and everything was perfect. I can only recommend. So good taste and experience to all

The two of us came to the Grenzglashütte for lunch without a reservation. We were surprised at how many tables were reserved. After the delicious meal we knew why. We can recommend this location without reservation. Service was very nice and attentive. The portions are sufficient and the price is reasonable. The food was great. According to the opening times both online and on site, open until 8 p.m. Shortly before 6 p.m. we were informed that there was nothing left to eat/take away as it was already "evening". I mean something different by hospitality. It's a shame, I would have liked to have something for dinner.

People like to be guests here. Super great location furnished with a lot of taste and passion. A very nice and approachable host couple (the chef also comes to the table and asks whether everything was OK). Excellent food, every ingredient, every side dish a real pleasure. Great service. Small play area for children. Bärwurzerei in the cellar. Be sure to try the pickled cheese! Extra tip: You are also welcome to visit the adjacent Waldmanufaktur shop (regional offers) and the Grenzglashütte (jewelry and accessories). Here too you can get unique things, chosen with a lot of love by the owner. Conclusion: The Grenzglas hut alone is a reason to definitely come back to the Bavarian Forest soon.

We were here a year ago and have already chosen this restaurant as our favorite three times during this holiday. The menu is varied and sometimes varies within a week, so that the enjoyment doesn't get boring. The service is simply top - friendly, considerate, guest-oriented staff. The food is very, very tasty and each dish has a very special touch in its own way. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable (especially for current times). We will be back definitely. There is a small but nice play area for the kids. By the way, the sanitary facilities are very modern and chic - here too you can see the small, subtle difference, e.g. B. on a basket with personal care/hygiene products... The only small drawback: only cash payment possible.

That was the best thing we have experienced in the Bavarian Forest in many years. We have never eaten so well anywhere here. The schnitzel, the meat patties, the pepper steak and the vegetarian curry were to die for. Thank you for this experience. Afternoon cake is also very good. Everything is topped off by extremely friendly service and a relaxed chef who personally asks at the table whether you were satisfied. 5 stars are actually still not enough. 👏

Perfect food, great beer and great bilingual service! Thomas cooked according to the table (wouldn't Tomáš?) - kudos to the chef! The Elizabethan Trout duet was unforgettable - there was nothing on the plate that didn't taste good and it played perfectly together! The pumpkin skewers are also amazing and the duck burger - I have no words! We were thrilled and will definitely be back... MMB 🍻

Crossover of regional Bavarian and Czech cuisine + various modern elements at very fair prices (actually too cheap). We had the sauerbraten, meatballs and the sirloin. Food was good. Unfortunately no salad plate, that was something missing. But otherwise everything was great. Service was quick and friendly, nice atmosphere.

Very, very good coffee, unusual food, very nice service

It wasn't easy for us to find a good restaurant in Bayerisch Eisenstein. Google led us to Grenzglashütte. There is a small, fine menu that is partly Czech, German and international. We decided on the roast game (fallow deer?) with two types of dumplings, lots of sauce (served separately) and pureed (?) red cabbage. In any case, we enjoyed it very much! Czech cuisine interpreted in a modern way, one would say. We can highly recommend the restaurant with adjoining shop! Attention: unfortunately no card payment possible!! (For whatever reason...)

We've been in the Bohemian Forest and the Bavarian Forest for a week now and this restaurant was definitely the best, the sauce is served extra so you can decide for yourself how you want to dip the wonderfully fluffy bread dumplings. The roast venison was well prepared to the minute, with cranberries, a little cream and, above all, attentive service, the chef Thomas even came out of the kitchen to ask how we liked it, all in all, highly recommended!

Essen war sehr gut, gewöhnliche Zutaten, raffiniert zubereitet und angerichtet. Von der Portion bin ich nicht satt geworden, habe ich dann der freundlichen Bedienung gesagt. Diese meinte dann, dass es gewöhnliche Portionen sind. Sie ging dann, man hörte sie mit dem Koch sprechen und kurz danach bekam ich einen Nachtisch "aufs Haus". Auch der Nachtisch war handwerklich sehr gut und auch optisch sehr schön angerichtet. Für die "Reklamationbearbeitung" gibt es den 5.Stern.

Vynikající jídlo a perfektní obsluha.

Wir fahren jedes Jahr mindestens einmal zum Mountainbiken nach Bayerisch Eisenstein. Gibt hier in der Gegend super schöne Touren. Die Grenzglashütte ist für uns ein fester Bestandteil einer jeden Tour geworden. Hier gibt es immer das wohlverdiente Bier mit dem wir den Tag ausklingen lassen. Wir fühlen uns immer rundum wohl bei euch, weiter so. Liebe Grüße der Lukas.

Bei schlechten Wetter haben wir gemütlich gegessen,nettes flinken Personal und nebenan kann man noch kleine Geschenke kaufen,schön.

Výborná gastronomie tam, kde byste jí úplně nečekali! 👍 S odstupem nejlepší restaurace v Bavorské Rudě (a možná ještě dál 😁). Když jsme tady na apartmánu, kromě pizzerie chodíme téměř výhradně sem. 😉 …A až začnou brát karty, tak to opravdu nebude mít chybu! 😁

6 von 5 Sternen Wir wurden wegen der Rezessionen aufmerksam auf das Restaurant. Eine absolute Empfehlung zum Essen gehen.

Hatte eine Rindfleischsuppe war Geschmacklich Gut. Ansonsten passte alles, wer noch einen Abstecher ins Eisenbahn Museum das gleich nebenan ist machen möchte ist hier gut Bedient..

Restauraci jsme navštívili poslední (a krásnou) řijnovou neděli podruhé a určitě ne naposledy. Tataráček z uzeného pstruha byl nejen fancy podávaný ale především lahodný. Z hovězího vývaru bylo cítit i něco jako lehký "závan" umami, manželčin hovězí steak s pepřovo-burbonovou omáčkou byl skvělý a to tak, že kdejaký steak house by mohl závidět, telecí játra byla opět famózní (podobně lahodná játra snad dělal jen Willy ve Vinoteca Ursus Ladinicus v Dolomitech), dětský řízek "mit pommes" byl tak dobrý, že ho prcek snědl celý a ikdyž nejsme úplně fandové hranolek, tak jsme mu občas nějakou tu hranu "ukradli", byly opravdu dobré. Ovšem vrcholem byly dýňové spätzle, to byla opravdová pecka. Foodstyling všech jídel byl taktéž fantastický. Za zmínku stojí také nealko pivo Holba "vom fass" - silná vůně a chuť sladu, netradiční, ale výborné. A to vše korunovala opět skvělá, milá, vstřícná, bilingualní obsluha. Děkujeme!

Trotz der bereits guten Bewertungen wurden meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Super freundlicher Service und ausgezeichnetes Essen. Die Grenzglashütte wird uns nicht zum letzten Mal gesehen haben! P.S.: Auch unser Hund wurde freundlich empfangen :)

Gutes Bier, sehr leckere Käsespätzle, freundlich Bedienung, schönes Ambiente, faire Preise. Ich glaube mehr muss man gar nicht sagen. Eine klare Empfehlung!

Befremdlich, dass der Gast sich seinen Platz nicht aussuchen darf. Man wird durch die tschechischen Bedienung eingewiesen auf einen schmutzigen Platz, obwohl andere,saubere Plätze frei gewesen wären. Wir haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt, wollten eigentlich etwas essen, sind nach einem Kaffee in ein anderes Restaurant. Schade...

Gastronomický počin v Bayerisch Eisenstein. Narazili jsme na tuto resto na Bahhofstrasse vedle vlakové tratě. Překvapení bylo o to větší, že se jedná o CZ podnik, kde nabízí neotřelou nabídku jídel, kterou bych označil za vyšší gastronomii. Mají i dětský koutek uvnitř a venku vč. pěkného posezení. Ceny odpovídají běžné úrovni ostatních resto tj. cca. 12-13 Eur. Francouzi by napsali "Ca vaut le voyage”.

Skvělé jídlo i domácí koláče. Zahrada pro děti jako bonus. Rádi se sem vracíme.

Schöner Aufenthalt in Bayrisch Eisenstein

Výborné jídlo, velmi přátelská a vstřícná obsluha. Krásné místo, vhodné i pro rodiny s dětmi - velký hrací koutek na dvorku. K dokonalosti už jen brát platební karty, ale ani to není problém, když o tom víte dopředu.

Hervorragende Bedienung: rasch, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Leckere, frisch zubereitete Speisen: wir hatten ein (tatsächlich zwei! 😊) Schnitzel Wiener Art mit kleinem Salat und Pommes Frites und ein Rindersteak mit Kartoffelbrei und Pommes Frites. Einfach bestens! Und sehr reichlich; man sollte großen Hunger mitbringen... 😉

Nettes Lokal, wir haben nach einer Wanderung einen „Einkehrschwung“ gemacht. Die Bedienung war freundlich und schnell. Der bestellte Kuchen und Kaffe war lecker. Kann man wieder hingehen.
