I like coming here, sometimes with the whole family. We almost always get our food at the same time, and it's delicious and fresh, and the portions are generous, too.

When I ate there with my girlfriend a few months ago, things were actually pretty good at first, but then, as far as we could tell, we found the boss yelling at his kitchen staff, including younger ones. Because we perceived him as so impulsive, we no longer felt comfortable eating there. The working atmosphere needs some work.

We were there for the first time yesterday! It was fantastic. Very friendly service and the food was excellent. I was in Balingen for a few days on business. We ate at SCHMEX several times in the evening. The service was always very courteous and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious. The prices were absolutely fair. All in all, it was fantastic!

I just didn't like the meat cooked on the hot stone; it was very tender. But it was worth the experience. I think for a good steak cooked on a hot stone, you should just go to Abaccos in Stuttgart. The burgers, on the other hand, were good. I wish you continued success.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, at least as far as they spoke to us. Unfortunately we can't give a review of the food because we didn't get any. We were seated at a table quite quickly, but that was it. Several guests who came after us were served before us, so we got up and left after 45 minutes, the waitresses didn't notice that either way. It should be noted that the store wasn't particularly full, which surprised us even more about the very long waiting time. We were very disappointed and then had to look for another restaurant in Balingen

It was just disappointing. You should dress warmly, it's cold. We waited 1:25 hours for our food, 2 meals were completely forgotten and the rest was cold to lukewarm and therefore unfortunately not very tasty. The service was very friendly, but that doesn't save it. Unfortunately no recommendation.

We had reserved with this Opentabel and also received a confirmation. Although it was supposed to be open at 12:30 on Thursdays, we were faced with closed doors. Luckily there are other restaurants in Balingen.

Reserved for 7:00 p.m. our table was given away to guests who didn't reserve, so they ended up having to wait 30 minutes just to be able to sit at our table. Then we ordered and at 7:30 p.m. there was no more wheat beer and the pulled pork was out. We had to wait an hour and a half for our food. Food was ok. Nice ambience. The staff was not friendly but also unfriendly. All in all, not recommended

The restaurant is very cute. You have a sufficient selection of vegetarian dishes. What I like about the menu is that they indicate which meat is included. I can't really estimate the waiting time because I was lost in my friend's eyes. The service was nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, I'm not convinced about the food I ordered because, on the one hand, fries don't mean normal fries for me and, on the other hand, it was mostly just fries (Vegi Bowl, €12.50). Drinks cost over €3

I had a very disappointing experience with this catering establishment. After I was accepted in the interview, I was of course very confident that everything would go well. Unfortunately, I was bitterly disappointed on my first day of work: at the end of the day, the employer told me that he wanted to look at other applicants and that I was therefore not permanently employed. It felt like I was just being stalled, which left me both disappointed and confused. The behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful, especially because I had been given different information during the conversation. Instead of making a clear commitment, he could have been more transparent from the start. Such games lead to dissatisfaction and do not reflect well on the company. For future applicants: Make sure you are sure that you will receive a firm commitment before investing your time.

We sat down for dinner today. We decided on two hamburgers with fries. We waited for more than an hour when it turned out that our newspaper had gotten mixed up in the kitchen. That's not why I'm angry, making mistakes is human. When they noticed and reported the incident, we were given a bowl of tortilla chips with some white sauce. We thought it was compensation for the long wait, but unfortunately the bill said homemade guacamole. That's what annoys us! Not the €3, but the lack of a gesture. The taste of Hambi is not bad, but it is too juicy and can therefore only be eaten with a knife and fork. However, the fries were excellent😉 Unfortunately, at €56, we left hungry...

On Saturday evening the reserved table was forgotten to reserve, we waited about 20 minutes for drinks, the food took over an hour, it was very tasty but the staff was absolutely overwhelmed. It's a shame actually.

Food is really good. But there is only one brown-haired waitress who can do it and limit the damage, the rest of the service is a disaster. Never seen so many dissatisfied guests. The kitchen also seems completely overwhelmed, you even wait 30 minutes for drinks. Eating takes 1.5 - 2 hours. Can everyone take a look at the menu to see if these dishes are justified.

Very friendly service and delicious food. The price is also absolutely great. What I particularly miss in other restaurants (that don't function as bars) are non-alcoholic aperitifs. There are delicious non-alcoholic cocktails here 👌 When we were there it was full so the service took quite a long time. As you observe, you notice that one employee was probably missing and one was new. If that wasn't the reason, I would recommend that everyone has a "main task". But I'll definitely come back :)

We were a little late, but the chef quickly whipped up some delicious quesadilas for us. The drinks were also very tasty and our service was really great, friendly, nice conversations and we were allowed to eat in peace. Many thanks again to the whole team.

After 45 minutes, without any information in advance, the food arrived (4 burgers with fries) Paid and said goodbye with the word “sorry”. When we got home, about a 5 minute drive, we finally started eating So then it continued The food was cold (not even lukewarm but cold) it was simply not good and cold. I've ordered and picked up food here before and everything was good and warm, but this time it was simply underwhelming. There is only one thing left for me to say about this review: Sorry

The two of us were there today at lunchtime. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and is reminiscent (also through the music) of Mexico with a little touch of the Black Forest. The service welcomed us very friendly. We ate a burger each (Schwaben and Schmex burgers and a small portion of fries). The Swabian burger was freshly prepared and very nicely decorated. The pulled pork was tender and juicy, just the way I like it. My highlight was the homemade, spicy sauce, which rounded everything off. The price-performance ratio is completely right here. We can only recommend Schmex with complete satisfaction!

We spontaneously went to Schmex on a weekday evening. There were still free tables, but reservations are recommended, otherwise it may happen that all tables are occupied/reserved. The service was very friendly. I was a little irritated that the salsa I chose for the burrito was IN the burrito. I thought you got them separately for dipping. The burrito itself was very tasty. The quesadilla was a bit too much beef and not enough vegetables for us. We once ordered extra guacamole. Unfortunately we didn't like this one. To me it didn't taste seasoned enough and the avocado pieces themselves tasted strange. It was passed on to the kitchen like this. We had the voucher book ("Schlemmerblock") with us and so one dish was free. Without this it would have been too expensive for me. To pay you have to go to the front of the counter. I didn't know until now either. There aren't that many parking spaces. We had to look for something in the surrounding streets.

Come here regularly to eat and are extremely satisfied. Can only recommend the Schmex

Hello, the food was good. What's not possible, however, is that the special menu for Tuesday shows the large burrito for the price of the small one. When ordering, we asked the winemaker whether this applies, which she replied in the affirmative. When we pay, we get a nasty surprise: we have to pay the regular price for a large Borrito because we apparently didn't clearly communicate to the winemaker that we wanted to take advantage of the offer.

What unfortunately cannot be changed is that if you want to sit outside, the outdoor area is directly on a quiet but busy street. Everything else is great! Even the toilets were well maintained. Food was ok, but unfortunately nothing more. Schmexburger unfortunately mass instead of great...hardly any taste and very dry...In addition, the bun was charred and the black bun was simply covered with paprika powder. The bread was fried so badly that it was already crumbling like rusks. The Salsa Roja had absolutely no flavor and was more like tomato pieces with water?? Unfortunately, the Huhngryburger isn't the real thing either. Cheese fries were also baked with normal cheese for far too long...on top there was a lump of cheese that you had to eat with a fork and knife and underneath there were absolutely over-salted frozen fries. Only one single condition on site, which is why it took a long time for the drinks. I also think the prices for the food served here are completely exorbitant. All in all it was below average and I wouldn't come back.

We were there very spontaneously on Saturday evening. The ambience is very nice, with the background music you just get a holiday feeling. The cocktails were very tasty and beautifully presented. The food takes a little longer to get to you, but we prefer to wait longer and know that it is prepared super fresh. The service is very fast, competent, attentive and very friendly. All in all very, very tasty and great restaurant. Keep it up!!!

The restaurant was nice, simply and spartanly furnished, but ok. Personally, it didn't blow me away. The service was very friendly and you were able to get a table even without a reservation. But I found the food was a long time coming. Maybe I'll go again, but I think it's unlikely. The burger I had was too dry and tough.

We spontaneously stopped at Schmex and didn't know that we should make a reservation. We were still lucky and were able to enjoy the great atmosphere. Very nice service. I only had an espresso. Very expensive. At the airport in Stuttgart it costs exactly the same, but you can understand that because the shop rents there are very high. In Balingen it's just a rip-off. There are still four stars because the service staff is super nice and friendly.

I was there when it wasn't busy, so we were served very quickly. The service was very nice and you were asked several times if everything was OK. The ambience was very good. I recommend everyone to go there, especially if you like food with a bit of spiciness.

Went to Schmex for the first time today, while passing through on vacation. The restaurant has a very special, charming style, the service welcomed us very warmly, friendly and nice and assigned us a seat. She advised us when we ordered and brought the drinks straight away. For dinner we had burgers, pulled beef with vegetables and the surprise cheese burger. Both very tasty and medium rare, as ordered. Unfortunately, the fries were a bit thin, so I personally would have preferred thicker homemade ones. The toilets were also very clean, as were everywhere in the restaurant Clear recommendation 👍 take a look

Food nothing special, prices just totally exaggerated. The burito only consisted of rice and meat, hardly any vegetables, although that was ordered with it, cost extra and was shown on the menu for zero euros. Simply unbelievable to charge €19.40 for a burito!! The food is not recommended, it's better to go somewhere else where you get much better food for these prices and drinks are included!!

We've wanted to go here for a long time. There was very little going on here during our stay, so it was very quiet and cozy. The food was very good and "different" than we were used to from previous Mexican kitchens in Germany: According to the chef, they cook according to original recipes and everything is made from scratch except for the rolls - we were very satisfied. We'd love to come back. If the weather is good you can also sit outside. It is also worth mentioning/pleasant that the seating was not crowded.

Had a spontaneous meal at Schmex BL today - we also got a table reservation for two people at short notice. Mega nice reception, first-class and very friendly service (and that despite the general shortage of skilled workers - you feel really comfortable here), great ambience and very tasty fresh food. The relationship between price and performance is still correct here. Schmex's motto - Simply eat well, fits like the lid on the pot. Absolutely recommended and it certainly wasn't the last visit... We're already looking forward to the nice service and the great food. Great team - keep it up...you're great.
