Cozy tent with incredibly friendly staff and good food!

Nice little bar with good food. The service was quick and the food came in a reasonable time. It was just a shame that Arancino Vegi were not available. Price performance was very good! 2 people, food and drink for around €40

Update 05/2024: In fact, trying to reach someone there to reserve a table is still a disaster! Unfortunately, the restaurant isn't so huge that you can be sure of getting a seat. What a shame! There is definitely still a lot that can be optimized in terms of telephone service. - - - The food was really delicious! Unfortunately, we had problems reserving a table in advance because there was a constant announcement that “no one is available at the moment”. After several attempts at different times, it finally worked. Unfortunately, they couldn't explain to me why this announcement came.

Just like you imagine a trattoria in Bella Italia: small, but not too small, great ambience, great food and great service. Mille Grazie, I'll definitely be back.

Went to the Mio again yesterday, everything was great as always, I can only recommend it!

Our experience today at Mio as far as the food is concerned, very good as always 5+⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, I've been going to Mio Balingen (Roberto 👍) for 16 years now and the food is always top 👍 Operation/Service 👎🏻: However, we have never been served so badly, especially unprofessionally, rudely and really strangely by the service staff named (Maria). I always spent a lot of time eating at “Mio” with friends and usually enjoyed it! We ordered the starters Aranchino and pizza garlic bread from Maria then asked if we should order the main course at the same time or the starter first. (since we don't like having both place settings on the table as one always gets cold). Statement from Maria: “You have enough time until the main courses arrive. ( understood.) Then Maria brought the starter, we started eating and were in a good mood and very relaxed. We were all the more surprised when, after a short while, Maria came with the main courses. She saw that we were still eating and so things started to get weird. We ate the starter, Maria handed the plate to my wife and I, so we had to put one plate to the side in order to have the main course in front of us. Since we had 4 plates on the table, thank God no one was sitting at the neighboring table otherwise it would have been difficult to get out of the seat, then we continued eating and the only topic of conversation was the incompetent service. After a while we took a short break and the waitress Maria came again and asked: “ Can I take it with me?" My wife said: "I haven't finished eating yet." I just said that we'll get in touch! We continued to eat and chat comfortably then after a while Maria came back and said to me: Can I take it with me, I said no, then she pointed again at my plate where there was still something on the fork and said YES BUT, I said that my wife was still eating. Maria left annoyed! Conclusion: As long as my wife is still eating, I will not allow my plate to be removed. Afterwards I went to the toilet and as I was walking back I stopped at the bar and said to Roberto's woman that we would like to take the three pieces with us. I deliberately ignored Maria and went out onto the terrace! After about 2 minutes, Maria came and topped it all off. She had a pizza box and a small pasta box. She put it on the table and I asked her, should we pack it ourselves? We then got a great answer: We have a lot to do inside and don't have time for it!?!?! My answer: the service is strange all the time and that I have never experienced anything like that, Maria continued to discuss: “yes, what exactly?” then I said: “we don’t have to discuss now!” then she left! Roberto's wife came out and asked: "Were you not satisfied?" I said absolutely not with the service, we've never experienced anything like that before. I tried to explain the situation to her in short words, but she interrupted me very quickly and interrupted me a lot, that can't be the case, she's been working here for so long and there was never had any complaints about Maria. Then I tried to explain the situation to Roberto's wife again, after that was also unsuccessful I said then it was the last time I was here. yes then it's ok, you don't have to pay anything then that's it, I said I'd pay for my things, I just think it's a shame we've known each other for so long. My wife and I are accused of being liars and making up stories and it can't be true, Maria is so good, so it was clear to me that this was the last visit to the Mio, because for my wife and I, respect, friendliness, and Well-groomed behavior and a polite tone are very important, and the service staff should be familiar with the etiquette of the restaurant. Almost ran past it, which would have been very unfortunate. Very tasty food, super friendly people. Without a reservation it will be difficult here.

Delicious food at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. The restaurant is already busy early in the evenings, even on weekdays. Despite the small dining room, it doesn't feel too cramped. I'll go there again if I'm in the area again.

Delicious, very inexpensive and always well attended. The only disadvantage: it's really not big and therefore spontaneous visits (in winter) fail due to the space capacity. In summer there is an additional outdoor area.

Fine little café bar with great staff. Prices are great and the food is very good. Simply great.

I had dinner here with my girlfriend on January 23rd. We each had a starter, a main course and a dessert. Everything was very tasty, especially the pizza was one of the best I've ever eaten. For the main course there was a chili oil which was also very tasty. The staff was really nice. We are already looking forward to our next visit to the cafe bar.

Wir sind alle sehr gerne im "Mio". Der Pizzateig ist klasse, auch das Dressing der Salate ist so lecker, dass man auch auf einen Salat mit Pizzabrot ins Mio hüpfen kann ;-). Wer sich mal wieder nicht entscheiden kann, sollte die Pizza mit Nudeln oder "Ciambella" ausprobieren. Auch die gefüllten Reisbällchen sind ein Genuss. Wir hatten schon öfters die Möglichkeit auch ein Dessert zu ergattert, diese sind immer sehr beliebt. Und ja: Auch die Desserts sind super lecker! Der Service ist überaus aufmerksam und sehr freundlich, eine familiengeführte Trattoria zum Wohlfühlen.

Pizza super, bei uns war viel los, also dauerte alles ein bisschen länger. Preise sind fair.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass die Leute nicht wissen, dass dieser Caffe Bar Mio Tratoria existiert. Und das ist wirklich schade. Eine Kombination aus fantastischer italienischer Küche und Gastfreundschaft, Sie werden sich wie zu Hause fühlen. Die Preise sind wirklich akzeptabel. Alles ist sauber und ordentlich. Wir kommen wieder!

Essen hervorragend, es war nicht unser erster Besuch und wird euch nicht der letzte gewesen sein. Leider lief im Service einiges schief. Ein Getränk wurde vergessen, eine Pizza wurde vergessen, eine Pizza ist beim Servieren fast auf der Tischdecke gelandet.

Hier kann man blind das Tagesessen bestellen. Immer ein Traum!

Ich komme sehr gerne ins Mio Trattoria, da hier das Essen richtig lecker ist und der Service einfach super. Man fühlt sich wie zuhause und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis einfach Top. Reservierung wünschenswert. Der Chef kocht höchstpersönlich und Mega lecker.

Hab dort Jahre gearbeitet. War eine schöne Zeit und ein guter Job. Und habe nach Jahren das Essen immernoch nicht satt. Meiner Meinung nach der beste Italiener. Unschlagbar!

Die einzige wirkliche Trattoria im Umkreis

Sau leckeres Essen bei einer kleinen Privaten Feier! Räumlichkeiten etwas klein. Mit wenigen Sitzplätzen das beste rausgeht was aus den Räumlichkeiten geht! (Trotzdem nicht eng). Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr leckeres Essen und ein super netter Service. Wenn ich wieder in Balingen bin, dann wieder auf alle Fälle im Mio.

Freundliche Leute, korrekte Preise, und, na ja, auf den ersten Blick akzeptable Pizza. Beim Essen verflüchtigt sich der erste Eindruck. Für die Pizza gäbe es südlich des Po einen Stern, in ausseritalienischen Regionen zwei. Für mehr Sterne sollte der Boden leicht und knusprig sein. Die zähe Variante liegt schwer im Magen wie ein Wackerstein.

Hervorragende Köchin!!! Salate sehr lecker. Zwiebel Rostbraten perfekt gebraten. Perfekt gewürzt! Wir waren zu viert und alle waren begeistert!!!
