Ich habe meinen 30. Geburtstag mit 27 Personen im Brauhaus gefeiert und bin sehr zufrieden. Bereits im Vorfeld wurden Menü, Preise und Sitzplätze unkompliziert besprochen. Das Gespräch mit dem Chef war sehr angenehm. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den freundlichen, schnellen und aufmerksamen Service. Trotz der vorherigen Planung wurde während der Feier immer wieder nachgefragt, ob alles passt und ob der zeitliche Ablauf für Essen und Dessert immer noch in Ordnung für uns ist. Ich fand das wirklich sehr aufmerksam und freundlich! Das Buffet war wirklich top, alle waren durchaus zufrieden. Das Essen und die Getränke kommen generell sehr schnell, geschmacklich finde ich es lecker und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt auch. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team. Wir kommen seit Jahren immer wieder gerne zu euch! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wir waren heute gegen 13:40 im Brauhaus! Leider wurden wir bis um ca 14:00 nicht bedient bzw nach Getränke gefragt! Leute die nach uns gekommen sind wurden noch vor uns bedient,wir nicht! Wir sind dann gegangen! Liebe Grüsse an den Service

Essen war Katastrophe wurde reclamiert und auch neu gemacht bin jetzt schon 2 mal dort aufgefallen und es war früher besser. Schade.

Na ja. "Der Hunger hat's renngetrieb". Schnitzel leichter Gefriertbrandgeschmack, Pommes 2-3 mal aufgewärmt. Fazit: Einmal und nicht wieder.

Naja, es war okay. Die Preise sind durchschnittlich. Das Wasser kommt nicht aus der Flasche, sondern ist Leitungswasser, was angesichts des hohen Preises nicht gerechtfertigt ist. Am Sonntagnachmittag war es ziemlich voll. Das Essen war bis auf das Rumpsteak relativ gut. Für Sonntag empfiehlt sich eine Reservierung.

Leider Fleisch zu Trocken angeboten wird Rumsteak bekommst aber keins... bedient werden erstmal auf essen wartest du 1h erst werden die 6 Stammkunden bedient... Bedienung läuft lieber 6x mit leeren Händen vorbei räumt dir teller nicht ab erst als kollege kam hat dann alles mit genommen wenn du zahlen möchtest heißt es sofort aber lassen dich 15min warten erst werden stamm Gäste befragt und an theke privat geredet bevor mann blick rüber wirft fällt beim 3ten mal anlaufen ein das wir zahlen wollten.

Essen und Bier ist sehr lecker. Wir kehren hier regelmäßig ein. Die Bedienungen waren immer sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir fühlen uns hier immer wohl.

Es gibt nichts zu meckern, der Service war schnell, freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr lecker und heiß. Nur schade daß es keine Eisschokolade als Nachtisch gab.

Ich habe schon früher über gutes Essen und Trinken geschrieben. Aber dieses hier ist der Gipfel: SUPER Essen und tolle Getränke. Und das alles zu einem erschwinglichen Preis. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir waren heute zum Schnitzelbuffet da, das Essen, ja was soll ich sagen. Es gibt besseres. Aber deswegen schreib ich nicht. Der Nachtisch der eigtl sehr lecker war wurde mir zum Verhängnis. Das Glas in den er angerichtet war ging beim Essen kaputt, ich merkte es leider erst als ich Glas gegessen hatte und Blut Geschmack im Mund hatte. Kla so etwas kann passieren... Wir haben dann den Kellner gerufen um ihm das du erzählen. Dieser meinte nein das kann nicht sein das muss vorher kaputt gewesen sei. Nahm das Glas und ging weg. Keine Entschuldigung nichts. Wir waren mit 4 kleinen Kindern dort, das hatte für die Kinder Lebensgefährlich werden können. Zum Glück ist es mir passiert. Mit den Schnitten im Mund komme ich zurecht Aber es ist verdammt unfreundlich, nicht mal ein Ansatz von entschuldigen kam vom Kellner. Wir wären gerne dort, aber heute war's das letzte Mal.

Das Essen war sehr gut gewesen insgesamt kann man das Brauhaus weiter empfehlen.

Wir haben für meinen Geburtstag für 13 Personen einen Tisch bestellt. Waren gestern hin essen. Ein Schild an der Tür weißt darauf hin daß 14 Tage geschlossen ist, genau zu der Zeit wo wir den Tisch bestellt haben. Auf unsere Frage, was das soll wurden nur dumme Bemerkungen gemacht. Keine Entschuldigung usw. Wären wir nicht noch mal hin gegangen, hätten wir an meinem Geburtstag mit 13 Personen vor verschlossenen Türen gestanden. Das ist nicht akzeptabel!!!

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und das Bier ebenfalls. Allerdings fehlten Teelichter für die Kerzen, und der Service wirkte etwas genervt, was möglicherweise nur eine Momentaufnahme war. Es geht hier um die Romantik.

Leider enttäuschend. Das Fleisch (sowohl Schnitzel als auch Hähnchenspieß) haben nicht gut geschmeckt und waren nicht schön angerichtet. Insgesamt wirkte die Qualität nicht besonders gut. Das Restaurant hat einen hohen Bekanntheitsgrad, ist deswegen immer gut gefüllt, allerdings kann ich es nicht mehr empfehlen.

Nachdem wir für 19 Uhr einen Tisch bestellt hatten war um 18.30 noch nichts frei. Naja Getränke 1 Wasser 1 Cola 2x Latte. 1 Latte kalt, Wasser schmeckte abgestanden. Nach mehr als 60 Minute kam dann unser essen. Dafür das die Schnitzel nur noch in der Friteuse heiß gemacht werden eine unendlich lange Zeit. Auf nachfragen brachte man uns etwas Baguett mit Knoblauchsauce was normal extra kosten würde ( wir bekamen es auf Kosten des Hauses). Wobei ich es auch nicht bezahlt hätte da es nicht durchgebacken war. Ich weiß nicht was ihr unter Jägerschnitzelsauce versteht...aber bestimmt nicht eine Barbecausesauce die aus sah wie Linsensuppe. Auch Rahmschnitzel mit 2 Dosenchampions mehr schlecht als recht. Am Ende des Tages 100 Euro in den Sand geschossen. Uns seht ihr nicht wieder und Empfehlungen an Freunde geben wir bestimmt nicht. Vor allen kein Wort der Entschuldigung an die Kritikpunkte. Kassieren....tschüss...der nächste Gast wartet

Wie immer gutes Bier und eine gut Bürgerliche Küche. Man kann es sich auf der Terrasse gut gehen lassen. Bei sehr netten Personal. Auch ist es möglich verschiedene Beilagen untereinander zu mischen. Wenn mal was nicht funktioniert einfach melden, das freundliche Personal wir es zu Ihrer Zufriedenheit schon richten. Es wird empfohlen sich hier einen Tisch zu reservieren ansonsten könnte es sein das man keinen Platz mehr bekommt. Auch kann man sich sein Essen hier bestellen und am gewünschten Zeitpunkt abholen. Funktioniert einwandfrei. Man bezahlt in bar oder mit EC Karte. Auch ist der Eingang Barrierefrei. Und es gibt auch Parkplätze für Gehbehinderte .

Ich war gestern zum ersten Mal im Schmelzer Brauhaus essen – leider auch zum letzten Mal. Ich habe das Restaurant sogar selbst vorgeschlagen, da ich bisher nur Gutes gehört habe und es mir mehrfach empfohlen wurde. Wir saßen oben ruhig, wurden dort aber nur selten bedient, obwohl der Bereich hinter uns leer war. Das Essen war in Ordnung. Beim Nachtisch jedoch enttäuschend: Apfelstrudel und ein weiteres Dessert aus, Sahne nicht mehr verfügbar. Wir haben nach einer Eis-Schokolade gefragt (da es auch Eiskaffee gibt), uns wurde gesagt, das sei möglich. Serviert wurde jedoch ein warmer Kakao, in dem das Eis natürlich sofort geschmolzen war. Wir haben zweimal darauf hingewiesen. Als Erklärung kam, man habe keinen kalten Kakao. Dann hätte man das vorher sagen müssen. Es gab eine Entschuldigung, aber erst zum Schluss beim kassieren als wir dies wiederholt reklamierten, diese wirkte jedoch sehr halbherzig. Getrunken haben wir das Getränk nicht – trotzdem wurde es vollständig berechnet. Schade, aufgrund der vielen Empfehlungen hatten wir deutlich mehr erwartet. Ein weiterer Besuch kommt für mich nicht infrage.

Essen einfach aber gut. Im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes gut burgerlich. Preiswert, netter Service und sehr gutes Bier aus der eigenen Brauerei. Vor allem das dunkle ist eine absolute Empfehlung.

Das Schmelzer Brauhaus ist einen Besuch wert. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und typisch brauhausmäßig – genau das Richtige, um einen schönen Abend zu verbringen. Das Bier ist besonders gut: frisch, aromatisch und mit richtig Charakter. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit Erfahrung und Leidenschaft gebraut wird. Auch das Essen und der Service passen wunderbar dazu, sodass man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Für alle, die gutes Bier und eine authentische Brauhaus-Atmosphäre lieben, definitiv eine klare Empfehlung! 🍺

Benutzen immer noch veraltete Sprache (Z_sauce), Essen total unvegetarisch - freundlich - zumindest an Weihnachten. Soo schade.

Service top, Essen flop – oder: Wenn Kräuterbutter länger lebt als das Steak! Ich bestellte ein Steak mit Kräuterbutter und Bratkartoffeln – bekommen habe ich ein Stück Fleisch in Zimmertemperatur, das selbst die gefrorene Butter nicht zum Schmelzen bringen konnte. Die „Brat“-Kartoffeln waren so zart, dass sie vermutlich nur kurz am Bratpfannenrand vorbeigetragen wurden. Auf meine Bitte nach einem warmen Steak wurde das Ganze nochmal „erwärmt“ – vermutlich per Taschenlampe – und mit zwei neuen Tiefkühl-Butterstücken garniert. Danach war das Steak so zäh, dass ich kurz überlegte, es als Schuhsohle weiterzuverwenden. Die Ader im Fleisch war immerhin ein schöner anatomischer Touch. Der Service war super freundlich, hat sich entschuldigt und Besserung gelobt – nur leider hat die Kasse davon nichts mitbekommen: Berechnet wurde natürlich alles brav zu 100%. Fazit: Service mit Herz ❤️, Küche mit Eisfach 🧊. Wer gern kulinarische Abenteuer zwischen Frostbrand und Gummisohle erlebt – absolute Empfehlung!

The food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. However, despite an early reservation for the anniversary dinner, we were only given a table next to the restrooms, even though several tables with a lovely ambiance were available! It's likely that only regulars were allowed to sit at these large tables for two...and in my opinion, it wasn't appropriate for guests to bring their four-legged friends, who were constantly barking at each other.

Actually, we went to the brewery today for the first time in a long time. My husband's food was great as always, but I ordered a large mixed salad for €11.90. I got a plate with a ladle of carrot salad, a handful of lettuce, a slice of cucumber, and an eighth of a tomato. Whatever they define as "mixed" there, it wasn't satisfactory. Very poor value for money.

Got a fantastic steak 🥩. Everything was perfect.

Yesterday, we visited the brewery with friends for the first time, and I have to say, we were absolutely pleasantly surprised. From the phone reservation, to the friendly welcome, to the relaxed yet very professional service, everything was 5 stars++. The beer was delicious, the food was very tasty and plentiful, and we tried almost the entire range, from stuffed sausages to pike-perch and grilled skewers to the minced meat Bundt cake with paprika. The price/performance ratio was more than reasonable. We would be happy to come back.

We had the liver with fried potatoes, which unfortunately lacked flavor. The salad was okay. The bread dumplings were good, but the sauce with the mushrooms was also flavorless. A shame.

September 19, 2025 We were there for the first time in a long time and didn't regret it! We had a salad with turkey breast strips and, what I was particularly pleased with, liver with onions, fries (I didn't want the fried potatoes), and salad. Everything was so delicious! And the many people are right - the beer is delicious! Our tip (which we will take to heart ourselves) is: Call ahead, it's simply safer! We will be back!

Delicious food and the various home-brewed beers are very good...very friendly staff...nice ambiance...highly recommended...I always enjoy coming here!!!

I've been here several times, and the quality of the food today was rather unsatisfactory. The service was catastrophic today. After asking twice, I finally got the table cleaned and the used cutlery replaced. I also don't know what to say about my dish (stuffed schnitzel with bacon and cream sauce). There was nothing right about it. The sauerkraut was cold and tasted burnt, the dumpling dough and the filling were almost raw, and I don't even want to talk about the bacon and cream sauce. My girlfriend's schnitzel was halfway okay. It's a real shame when you compare it to previous evenings.

We went to the Schmelz brewery yesterday for dinner. It was a mess until someone came over and asked what we wanted to eat. Every waiter we spoke to said they weren't in charge... Aha... So at some point I called downstairs on my cell phone (we were sitting upstairs) and asked if it was busy. The lady said no, it's okay today... Then I asked her to please send someone upstairs, as we'd like to order something. The food was okay, nothing special.

The staff is very friendly and the food is excellent. If you live in Schmelz and don't want to travel far for a good meal, this place is an absolute insider tip. There are also good options for vegetarians. However, it can get very crowded, so reservations are recommended. ❤️😉

Fish was okay, sauce was very small, pasta was way too salty, and unfortunately, other than a sorry, there was no reaction from the staff. The plate was returned with all the pasta.

In einem Brauhaus kann man doch immer ordentlich essen und der Service ist da auch immer flott … Das Essen ist ok, der Service hat gleich mehrere Probleme: zu häufige Nachfragen, zu langsam, es dauert zu lange. Und was gar nicht geht: eine Bestellung ablehnen!! Wenn es schon so organisiert ist, dass nur bestimmte Servicekräfte die Bestellungen aufnehmen (dürfen), dann MUSS aber doch der- oder diejenige, an den/die der Kunde sich wendet Bescheid sagen - oder???

Our visit to Schmelzer Brauhaus was okay, but unfortunately, there were no particular highlights. The service was rather average—neither particularly attentive nor unfriendly. The food, unfortunately, was no longer up to par in terms of quality, which is a shame, as we've had better experiences in the past.

We visited Schmelzer Brauhaus for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled. The staff was super friendly. We sat in the beautiful beer garden – really cozy and with a great atmosphere. The home-brewed beer was truly delicious, and the gypsy schnitzel was an absolute hit: tender meat, spicy sauce, and a really generous portion. Exactly what you'd want. Everything is just right here – we'll definitely be back!

I heard about the brewery from Facebook. Now, while on vacation, I tried it. AWESOME 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 I had the skewer, my wife had the antipasti plate. Absolutely top-notch. The waitress served everyone very quickly and was very friendly and attentive. We also really liked the ambiance. We'll be back on our next trip to Saarland.

Unfortunately, our expectations were far exceeded. Our table on the terrace, in the beautiful weather, was the best part of our visit; the positive thing was that we were able to move from the inside to the terrace at short notice. The beer already gave us our first negative impression. For a brewery, one would say: poor. The pale beer was neither acceptable in terms of taste nor effervescence (forgot the carbonation?). The next negative impression came with our meal. Hoorische (a kind of sauerkraut) had little flavor, carelessly served in a béchamel sauce with mushrooms. We didn't find any herbs or anything green. The side salad was okay. The schnitzels were better, but on a manageable level. There was only one mushroom in the mushroom sauce. The final part was a wait of about 20 minutes to pay. Several waiters put us off. The response to our complaint was unfortunately unprofessional. It's a shame, because the menu promised much more.

Except for the beer - the dark one is excellent - everything was unsatisfactory today: slow service, not very tasty food and an unclean table. It's a shame, it was better here. Addition: After weeks, Google ("removals") reported that the above post had been reported by the owner as "defamatory" and would therefore be removed. Of course, since this is a factual review, I lodged a complaint and Google's decision was consequently revoked. Nevertheless, the impression remains that an attempt is being made to influence ratings.

Some of the food tasted very good and some tasted rather bad. Cutlery was missing twice, we told the wait staff and they simply forgot about us... Very, very long waiting times, the poor staff was overwhelmed since the reopening

You call in advance, want a table outside, are told that it's Ken's problem and then everything is occupied. Reservation on the phone did not arrive. Luckily something became available right away. Order was taken quickly. The food itself wasn't very tasty. There was no more salad and from what I've read, this has been a problem before. The sauces for the schnitzel were watery and bland on the one hand, while the Alsatian schnitzel was completely boiled down and dry. The food has noticeably deteriorated. Too bad.

The only brewery in Saarland that I have been to so far and where you can eat really well. The breweries in Merzig, Mettlach and Losheim can follow an example. The beer there is tasty, but the food doesn't even come close to the quality of the brewery in Schmelz.

I had a really good visit to Schmelzer Brauhaus! The schnitzel with gypsy sauce was absolutely delicious - nice and juicy, crispy breaded and the sauce was spicy and perfectly seasoned. The fries that came with it were super crispy and to the point. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. Overall, an all-round successful lunch – I’ll be happy to come back!

Hello, my dears . 1. We had specially reserved the adjoining room upstairs, which, as we have often experienced, was occupied by other guests when we arrived. 2. The food has been completely the opposite of what we know from the traditional restaurant for a while now, my guess is that there is probably a new chef who unfortunately doesn't understand his work at all and is unfortunately out of place. It is not properly seasoned as you know it. It was totally tasteless, the onions on my steak were completely raw and uncut. Some of my pan potatoes were hard, others were completely burnt and bitter. And what did you do with the very tasty and spicy side salad. This is totally bland and only tastes like cream and minimal spices. And this really used to be one of the best I've ever had. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare for me), but unfortunately salt and pepper were missing here too. Unfortunately, the staff was also slightly overwhelmed by the very large number of visitors, Maybe give up a few euros and not let everyone in even though everything is already full to the end. (Profit above all) as is unfortunately happening more and more often these days.

We ate at the Brauhaus on March 23, 2025, for my wife's birthday. It's never been as bad as that day. They were out of salad, no hamburgers, and the meat on the skewer was so dry it was inedible. We won't be going back for a while.

It was again very tasty. We have visited the brewery more often recently. Be it buffet or à la carte, there was nothing objectionable. Staff is always friendly and attentive, even in stressful situations.

The food has become extremely poor and has changed more often. The cream schnitzel was absolutely not tasty, a water broth (a maximum of a tablespoon), the schnitzel was wobbly and my cola glass smelled of beer. It definitely used to be better.

Also heute war das Mittagessen nicht so doll. Die Rahmsoße war eher eine braune Brühe mit Pilzen. Zum Salat kann man auch nicht viel sagen. Die Blätter würde man zu Hause nicht servieren, sondern sie entsorgen.

Typical brewery menu. Unfortunately we arrived shortly before a break of several weeks. Therefore some dishes were not available. Of course exactly what I would have liked. Unlucky. The skewer was delicious and the beef was cooked just right. The chicken was a bit dry, but that was easily compensated for with the delicious dip. The service was very attentive and very friendly. If we're in the area again, we'd love to come back. By the way, the beer was very tasty 😋. I was only able to try the light one because I still had to drive, but it was really good. As expected from a brewery, a drinkable, non-hoppy beer without any faults. Next time I'll look for a driver and try all the varieties.....🍺

I have to say that I don't know of any brewery in Saarland and the surrounding area where the food tastes better, the beer is so excellent and the ambience is better. Most breweries have a canteen feeling, but that's not the case here at all. A lot was invested in service and quality here and it was worth it.

We used to love going there...but after this Christmas debacle, that was probably it for us. Waited 15 minutes for plates, half of the buffet was empty and only sparsely refilled, the other half was lukewarm.

It was just a wonderful experience with a good group of friends in a beautiful brewery. Very good beer flowed freely, sumptuous appetizers and attentive and friendly service underlined the pleasant ambience. We all enjoyed sitting here, laughing and eating. A special feature is the arrangement of grilled skewers, there is something else on offer here. The beer was of excellent quality, from taste to foam strength, everything was top 100 points. We ordered this by the meter for the group and it wasn't a mistake. The starter dishes were also of the best quality and extremely tasty. The steak arrives as ordered, of course in Braumeister size, simply a dream and cooked as ordered. The desserts were also delicious and rounded off the experience 100%. It's definitely not the last time we've been here as a group. Prices are completely reasonable considering the performance and quality.

We were there for dinner with a group. The food was very tasty except for the pork tenderloin, which was well seasoned but a bit tough. The service was mixed. When I asked if a door was open because there was a draft, I was simply told no without understanding. The salad with the meal had to be requested several times and last but not least we had to pay for a Coke more with the obscure reason that we had said "Cola" instead of "Cola Zero" when paying.

Very friendly service, dishes are tasty but nothing special. There is a varied range of buffets and all you can eat specials (fixed dates). There is a nice large terrace with a play area for children. Addendum: unfortunately waiting times of up to 1 hour are now normal. Definitely too much for a schnitzel.

The four of us were there 4 weeks ago on Sunday lunchtime. Unfortunately the two schnitzels were very thin and hardly seasoned. The fries are way too firm. The other two meals were also very bland. We had to wait 40 minutes for dessert - it was only ice cream - and asked three times. Unfortunately all four were not satisfied and will not be coming back.

We've been going to the brewery in Schmelz for years. We've never eaten as badly as the last time. The meat was tough, the fried potatoes didn't taste good at all and the waiting time was also very long. We had to make ourselves known after 45 minutes otherwise we probably still wouldn't have gotten anything to eat. The evening was very disappointing😢

We have been in the brewery with two different groups for the last 3 weeks. The food was ok so far, but what's not good at all is how unfriendly the waitresses were, the first time a young man with a nose piercing who called my friend (over 60) and reprimanded her in a loud voice so that the table next door noticed. The second time it was a waiter with a Bavarian dialect. He has struck us, our family and friends as unfriendly on several occasions. The way he talked to us at times was really underground. For this reason we will no longer visit the brewery because we don't want to be constantly annoyed by unfriendly service!

Wir waren jetzt in den letzten 3 Wochen mit jeweils zwei unterschiedlichen Gruppen im Brauhhaus. Das Essen soweit ok,was aber überhaupt nicht geht ist wie unfreundlich die Bedienungen,das 1.Mal ein junger Mann mit Nasenpiercing, dieser hat meine Bekannte (über 60) geduzt und sie mit lauter Stimme gemaßgeregelt sodass der Nachbartisch das mitbekommen hat. Das 2.Mal wars ein Kellner mit bayrischem Dialekt. Wobei er uns, Freunde und Familie schon mehrfach unfreundlich behandelt hat. Seine Art wie er zum Teil mit uns geredet hat ist wirklich unterirdisch. Aus diesem Grund werden wir das Brauhhaus nicht mehr besuchen weil wir keine Lust haben uns ständig über unfreundliche Bedienungen zu ärgern !

Delicious food, nice attentive service, great beer, we go there regularly and it was tasty every time, our children always like it too😀

I've been to the brewery many times and the food is always great, no matter what we order or have ordered. Unfortunately, service today was poor. Unfriendly, loud and arrogant. Not the slightest trace of friendliness. Unfortunately, I didn't feel comfortable as a guest today.

Bad reviews (my first one was created in Feb. 2022) were subsequently deleted under the pretext of defamation. Therefore only one star. The content was the very unfriendly behavior of the service staff who was on duty that evening.

Food is good, but the staff is unprofessional and unfriendly, this doesn't seem to have changed in recent years. It's a shame...this shouldn't be the case these days, especially not in the catering industry!
