Schmelzer Brauhaus in Schmelz

We have been in the brewery with two different groups for the last 3 weeks. The food was ok so far, but what's not good at all is how unfriendly the waitresses were, the first time a young man with a nose piercing who called my friend (over 60) and reprimanded her in a loud voice so that the table next door noticed. The second time it was a waiter with a Bavarian dialect. He has struck us, our family and friends as unfriendly on several occasions. The way he talked to us at times was really underground. For this reason we will no longer visit the brewery because we don't want to be constantly annoyed by unfriendly service!

Wir waren jetzt in den letzten 3 Wochen mit jeweils zwei unterschiedlichen Gruppen im Brauhhaus. Das Essen soweit ok,was aber überhaupt nicht geht ist wie unfreundlich die Bedienungen,das 1.Mal ein junger Mann mit Nasenpiercing, dieser hat meine Bekannte (über 60) geduzt und sie mit lauter Stimme gemaßgeregelt sodass der Nachbartisch das mitbekommen hat. Das 2.Mal wars ein Kellner mit bayrischem Dialekt. Wobei er uns, Freunde und Familie schon mehrfach unfreundlich behandelt hat. Seine Art wie er zum Teil mit uns geredet hat ist wirklich unterirdisch. Aus diesem Grund werden wir das Brauhhaus nicht mehr besuchen weil wir keine Lust haben uns ständig über unfreundliche Bedienungen zu ärgern !

I've been to the brewery many times and the food is always great, no matter what we order or have ordered. Unfortunately, service today was poor. Unfriendly, loud and arrogant. Not the slightest trace of friendliness. Unfortunately, I didn't feel comfortable as a guest today.

Bad reviews (my first one was created in Feb. 2022) were subsequently deleted under the pretext of defamation. Therefore only one star. The content was the very unfriendly behavior of the service staff who was on duty that evening.

We were there with 9 people. Very long waiting times until someone came to take the drinks. Here too we had to wait a long time and sometimes forget. Food was okay but not hot anymore. We had the feeling that the employees were overworked and inexperienced. Unfortunately, they sat in front of empty glasses for too long. Too bad. Nice location and you used to be able to eat well without having to wait long.

I found out about the brewery from Facebook. Well, on home vacation, tried it out. THE HAMMER 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 I had the skewer, my wife had the antipasti plate. First class cream. The service staff served all guests very quickly and was very friendly and attentive. We also really liked the atmosphere. We will come back on our next Saarland vacation.

The home-brewed beer is very good, the mood is always 👌 And that is the most important to me 😁😂 3 months ago was my last visit to this Brauhaus. If the manager recognizes you and comes to your table to welcome you, that's great.

Went to the BBQ buffet with the family. Everything was OK until we saw that there was a raw steak that had been lying on the ground next to the grill for a good 20 minutes, and the man at the grill then picked up the steak from the ground with tongs and put it directly on the grill🤢. From the grill, the steak then ended up in the smoker, where all the other food was, and waited there until its new owner picked it up. This makes me ask myself the question: Everything that falls on the floor in the kitchen ends up back in the pan or on the plate! With the rush of guests at the BBQ buffet, it's definitely not a steak that decides whether you win or lose. Such a shame. My answer to your answer: Portraying the guest as a liar shows me that you, as the managing director, cannot tolerate criticism. As if I had nothing else to do and fairy tales to tell here. Yes, they stood at the smoker until the hustle and bustle was over, around 8 p.m. Then the man with the green robe took over and picked up the steak, grilled it and then put it in the smoker with the other steaks. At that time, Mr. Managing Director, you were NOT at the smoker and couldn't see what happened or where the steak ended up. SO WHO IS THE LIAR HERE! : Thrown into the fire to burn, you weren't there when all this happened, but you portray the guest as a liar. Bravo, that shows class.

We always come to you full. We've eaten a lot at your place and I've never had a problem. Weddings, birthdays, holidays or just because. Keep it up!

Food was so-so, it tasted a lot like ready-made sauce. Burgers are OK in a pinch, but overall, okay. Service very competent.

Nice restaurant if you want to go out for something to eat. Unfortunately, service was not convincing that day (dishes not there at the same time; dishes there but no cutlery; sat on the plates for a very long time; there was 20 minutes between requesting payment and paying). But the big hit was the statement at 7 p.m. in a BRAUBAUS: The beer (yeast) is empty! (almost funny again)

I had a leaf salad with stuffed mushrooms for 13.90 euros. The portion size corresponded to a side salad. No bread was served with it either. Since I was still hungry, I ordered a side salad from the waiter, pointing out that the portion size of the (main course) salad I had previously ordered was far too small. No response from the basement, such as I'm sorry or I'll pass it on to the kitchen. When I asked to pass this on to the kitchen, they nodded. The regular price was charged for the side salad and there was no feedback regarding the kitchen's reaction. When another waitress was clearing the dishes, they asked if everything was OK. Here, too, I would like to point out that the portion size was unusually small and that's why I ordered a side salad. There was no reaction from this waitress. So given the portion sizes (I'm normal weight and normally hungry), I'll never order a salad there again. It's really never happened to me. The response from the service was also absolutely unprofessional.

Archbrew! Oh archbrew! This beer tastes so heavenly good that I will name my firstborn Erzbräu. If I ever have to leave this world, please just drown me in this divine barley juice. The quality of the food is very solid and the prices are okay. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, sometimes there is a lot of traffic, so you should plan on waiting a bit when ordering. Overall, the Schmelzer Brauhaus is absolutely worth a visit.

We have been going there regularly for years. The food is always very tasty and the beer is also recommended. The service is very friendly and quick. However, you should reserve a table as there is always something going on.

We only wanted 2 drinks. After registering, we were given a table outside. Plates were cleared in front of us and our table was washed. 3 employees were approached and they kept saying that a colleague would be coming soon. After 30 minutes, no “colleague” had arrived. We then left the brewery thirsty. Something like this has never happened to us in any guesthouse before. Annoying and very unfortunate. Not so soon anymore.

Well, I've eaten better here before. Schnitzel Chorizo, OK, it's a matter of taste, but I liked the schnitzel...5mm thick, firm, almost burnt breading and very dry. So it wasn't a schnitzel but a deep fryer patty. Cutlery was a long time coming and had to be ordered twice.

A chef who can't cook and a waitress who can't do math. The pasta was totally over-salted and the waitress didn't know how much change she had to give us. Once and never again!

We have been to the brewery many times now and in our opinion the food and service is very good. There are dishes here for under 10 euros!! Very rare these days. Whether inside or outside, everything is clean and friendly. We will definitely continue to Schmelz and can really recommend the brewery.

As always, good beer and good local cuisine. You can have a good time on the terrace. With very nice staff. It is also possible to mix different side dishes together. If something doesn't work, just let us know and the friendly staff will sort it out to your satisfaction. It is recommended to reserve a table here, otherwise you may not be able to get a seat. I can also order my food here and pick it up at the desired time. Works flawlessly. You pay in cash or with EC card. The entrance is also barrier-free. And there are also parking spaces for disabled people.

On Sunday we went to the brewery in Schmelz with the family. We didn't reserve there in advance and still got a nice seat. We were able to order drinks straight away and another waiter brought them. However, no one came to us for 30 minutes, so my husband had to alert the staff. When my husband pointed this out to the waiter, he responded with annoyance. A moment and unfortunately kept us waiting again. I think it took too long. As for the food, I can say that the meat was tough, unfortunately. It was beautifully prepared, Leila, my daughter's chicken nuggets and also my pork fillet pieces were tough and dry. The atmosphere there was very nice, we sat outside, very cozy and green. There is some parking, although the parking lot was already very full when we arrived. We were probably lucky to get another one.

We eat at the brewery about every 14 days! FOOD great, every time, as befits a brewery, delicious, hearty cuisine for everyone. My husband loves your fried potatoes with grilled Lyonnais😂 I love your Gugelhupf with mushroom cream sauce. You come here hungry and thirsty and go home full and happy with the best beer from Saarland!! You are simply the best, there are many breweries in Saarland but none are as TOP as you!!

Unfortunately I was disappointed next time... Service was great, but the food arrived cold after about an hour. Service super satisfied but unfortunately the kitchen gets a grade 6

I had often heard positive things about the brewery and so I went there. There were two of us there and to be honest, I expected more. The restaurant was clean and we were served quickly and friendly. The food was pretty simple. My friend had exactly one piece of mushroom in her mushroom cream sauce, which looked suspiciously like a ready-made sauce. But good, the price-performance ratio was still okay.

Unfortunately, I can't understand why the store is holding its own. The quality of the food is now underground! I've eaten here several times and each time there was something wrong. (Burned food that wasn't even cooked through, or meat that was as dry as the desert, and the portion size of the salads was much too small and not washed properly!) The waitress didn't even ask if everything was OK, even though she was often full ran past plates. When clearing the plates the only question was whether you should pack it up.

Food was great. Beer was tasty. We also sat well. The only drawback was the service. And that was a huge disadvantage. Unfriendly to no end.

The ambience was very good, as was the service, but unfortunately the food lost some of its quality. My partner had cream of asparagus soup, it was a flour mush with no taste, no trace of asparagus. The meatloaf also left a lot to be desired. My stuffed items were very good .

Unfortunately it's no longer the brewery it once was. The prices are not fair for the portions. The sauces are just thick mush where you have to look for the champions with a cream sauce. The schnitzels, mini format and from the freezer into the deep fryer. That's how it seems to me. Fried potatoes are just small, unseasoned cubes. They don't have enough on offer for vegetarians and if you make an alternative suggestion (no burger buns, flites instead) it is rejected. There is still a lot of room for improvement in terms of taste

I never really liked Schmelzer Brauhaus, I only went because two friends really wanted to go. We were lucky that we got a table, but it was limited to 2 hours because everything else was reserved. We got a table in the next room on the right, the table in front of the windows in the middle. It was really very warm in the room and I opened two windows so that fresh air could come in. Drink orders take a long time, but drink prices are ok. The waitresses aren't really attentive. We did ask if everything was OK, but when we said that we had ordered drinks from another waitress 15 minutes ago, the waitress also rushed away. In total we were served by 5 or 6 different people that evening and one of them didn't know what the other was doing or had taken as an order. Organizationally it's a real disaster and when it comes to drinks you really need patience. For dinner I had the meatballs with gypsy sauce and fries and also ordered a small salad. The meatballs were nothing special, I didn't like the consistency at all, just kind of soggy and the sauce was way too sour for me personally and tasted more like a ready-made curry sauce that was just about to go bad (extremely sour) The salad consisted of carrot salad (without dressing), coleslaw (only with cream, no spices) and leaf lettuce, which unfortunately had far too little dressing on it. I really don't understand why so many restaurants put so little dressing on the salad and are then surprised when you can't get the dry salad off and leave it lying around. Overall, I found it extremely loud in the brewery, the acoustics there are really a disaster and I personally didn't find it really comfortable either. For dessert I shared the apple strudel with a friend. Unfortunately it wasn't warm, but it was far dry. The vanilla ice cream tasted like nothing and the finished spray cream only tasted like chemicals. There really are much better and higher quality convenience products out there. So my antipathy towards the brewery was basically confirmed again. I'll put it this way, if you don't have high expectations of food, this is the place for you, but you'll need a lot of time to wait for the drinks.

Priced a little higher but still within reason. There is hardly any vegan selection, apart from fries and salad. A lot of vegetarian food, but one big mistake: number 168 tagliatelle with salmon is under vegetarian food. Salmon is a fish and therefore an animal and therefore definitely not vegetarian. Encyclopedia, Google, common sense or Wikipedia would help, because that is extremely embarrassing, especially in 2024... Otherwise the food tastes quite good.

We liked it a lot. The service was very friendly. The food came to the table quite quickly and warm, despite being busy. The portions are definitely sufficient. You can also choose salad instead of vegetables or whatever you like. The selection of food is very good. There is even a large selection for vegetarians. ( I do not need it ). We have often eaten at the Brauhaus Schmelz. That's why I chose the Schmelzer Brauhaus party service for my birthday party. I chose a Bavarian buffet for my party with 30 people. My birthday guests came from all over Germany. The guests, my family and I were very enthusiastic about the food and it tasted excellent, and the price was also very fair. We can highly recommend the Schmelzer Brauhaus restaurant with its extensive selection of dishes, the great taste of the food as well as the party service and the fair prices. Wir waren schon öfter im Brauhaus Schmelz zum speisen. Daher wählte ich auch für meine Geburtstagsfeier das Brauhaus Schmelz. Ich hatte für meine Feier mit 30 Personen ein Bayrisches Buffet gewählt. Die Geburtstagsgäste kamen aus ganz Deutschland. Die Gäste, meine Familie und ich waren von dem Essen sehr begeistert und es schmeckte hervorragend, auch der Preis war sehr fair. Wir können das Restaurant Brauhaus Schmelz mit der Reichhaltigen Speiseauswahl, der super Geschmack der Speisen sowie den Partyservice und den fairen Preis sehr empfehlen. Ich danke dem Team des Brauhaus Schmelz mit dem leckeren Buffet dazu beigetragen haben, dass meine Geburtstagsfeier sehr gelungen war. Vielen Dank Gabriela W.

Highly recommended... delicious food... good service... value for money

Yesterday we were eating a tortou at the brauhaus Schmelz, until someone came and asked what we would like to eat. Every waiter we spoke to said they weren't responsible... Aha... At some point I called downstairs on my cell phone (we were sitting upstairs) and asked if there was a lot going on. The lady said no, it's okay today. Then I said that she should please send someone up, we would like to order something. The food was ok, nothing special.

We went to the mussel buffet on Wednesday and we weren't happy. Pots were often empty and the mussels dried out! Lemon curd was nothing either! Bread basket, well... the service wasn't there, it's a shame we always like to go there to eat.

I tried to reach someone several times to hold a ceremony here, but the phone seems to be just a decoration, you wait and wait and no one ever answers

Great service, delicious food and delicious beer. But what can't be the case is that you have to wait 100 minutes for your food. And then about 20 minutes after placing the order we were told that the veggie burgers and the hop pan were out. Sorry, that doesn't fit and doesn't work either. We were in the restaurant with a group of 12 people at 7:00 p.m. and received the food at 8:45 p.m. Therefore only 2 points for food.

Unfortunately, my mushrooms with bread dumplings were totally over-seasoned, not to say totally salty. As always, dumplings and salad were very tasty

3/5 - satisfactory but nothing that requires you to go to a restaurant to eat. Vegetarian selection can be expanded....🌱 The waitress gave herself an extra €1 when tipping 😄

Yesterday I went there to eat with a friend. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and the order was taken quickly. My friend had a large salad plate and a portion of fries. Everything was very tasty. I didn't feel like eating meat either, so I chose I chose the tagliatelle with pesto and fresh tomatoes, which was also very tasty. Price performance was really top. I would love to come back 😊

By far the best beer brewed in Saarland can be bought to take away, in liter or two-liter bottles, or you can also order a keg. As far as the food here goes, it's not for everyone, some of it was tasty, some of it was tasty and I don't really like it.

We visited for the first time today and definitely not the last time. Ambience is very nice and cozy. Service very attentive. Food was plentiful and also good value for money. The process was very quick, despite the house being almost full. All in all very very positive.

Ambience is very nice, the beer is delicious, the food is good. Unfortunately the vegetarian selection is limited. The dumplings with sauce without vegetables are a bit one-sided, but you can find something. Unfortunately, I've had the misfortune of having staff that were relatively unfriendly twice in a row. It's certainly not always like that, but that's how it was for me.

Hallo, waren heute das erste Mal in diesem Speiselokal hat alles super gepasst Freundliches und Aufmerksames Personal Essen wurde schnell zubereitet und serviert Sehr sauber Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder dieses Speiselokal aufsuchen

Vorab, das Essen war lecker. Leider wurde der Aufenthalt unserer 16-köpfigen Truppe geprägt von der tyrannischen Art des Oberkellners, der uns von oben herab abserviert hat. Kritik wurde nicht angenommen sondern belächelt. Alles hat sehr lange gedauert, als Erklärung dafür gab es einen frechen Spruch nach dem anderen. Fast noch schlimmer war aber wie dieser oben genannte Oberkellner mit seinem Personal umging und dies vor den Augen aller Gäste. Auch uns gegenüber äußerste er sich herablassend über sein Personal. Liebes Brauhaus, ihr solltet hier dringend nachbessern, das Potential ist da.

Wir wollten mit mehreren Familien einen schönen Nachmittag bei gutem Essen ausklingen lassen. An besagtem Essen gab es auch nichts auszusetzen, das war absolut in Ordnung und sehr lecker! Allerdings müsste am Servicegedanken noch gearbeitet werden, zumindest ein Mitarbeiter hätte dringenden Bedarf daran. Diese an Kundenunfreundlichkeit nicht zu überbietende Servicekraft hat zu Beginn unsere Bestellungen aufgenommen. Weitere Kontakte gestalteten sich recht schwierig. Sofern wir gefragt wurden, ob es uns an etwas fehlen würde, wurde dann noch nicht einmal eine Antwort abgewartet, sondern sich nach geschätzt einer Sekunde vom Tisch abgewandt und entfernt. In der restlichen Zeit wurden wir gefühlt ignoriert, während besagter Kellner sich über die Inkompetenz seiner Kollegen beschwerend an den Tischen vorbeirannte. Aus diesem Grunde haben wir uns dann an eine Kellnerin gewandt, um eine Bestellung aufzugeben. Diese war sehr freundlich, höflich und hilfsbereit. Leider durfte sie selbst keine Bestellungen entgegennehmen (was wir allerdings nicht wussten), sondern hat diese im Nachgang netterweise sofort an Ihren Kollegen weitergeleitet (wir saßen in Hörweite). Dort wurde die nette, junge Kellnerin dann angeblafft, dass er ja schließlich oft genug an den Tischen vorbeiginge und man ja bei ihm bestellen müsse. Die Bestellung wurde dann, trotz erfolgter Weitergabe (!), geflissentlich ignoriert. Von uns auf diesen Sachverhalt angesprochen reagierte er dann (leider wie fast schon von uns erwartet) mit Ausreden, Unfreundlichkeit, Uneinsichtigkeit und sogar Diskreditierung seiner eigenen Kolleginnen und Kollegen. Solch ein geschäftsschädigendes Verhalten haben wir noch nie erlebt. Erlebnis-Gastronomie par excellence. Nur leider nicht im positiven Sinne… Schade!

Der Service war gut und das Restaurant ist echt schön und gemütlich. Das Essen ist leider überhaupt nicht lecker. Absolut langweilig und kaum gewürzt. Die Portionen dagegen sind sehr großzügig, zu einem guten Preis .👍🏻 Einen zweiten Besuch wird es trotzdem nicht geben.

Trotz des personellen Engpasses. Bedienungsanleitungen sehr freundlich und nett. Keine lange Wartezeiten für Essen bestellen und auch bis das Essen kam ging sehr schnell. Super. Gerne wieder.

Das Essen ist echt Top und das Bier dazu auch. Preise sind komplett in Ordnung. Die wechselnden Angebote sind auch immer vielfältig. Ich komme immer wieder gerne 👍🏻

Unter früheren Besitzern sehr schlecht, mit jetzigem Besitzer, sehr gut.

Sehr gute, deftige und abwechslungsreiche Küche .Abwechselnde kulinarische Events. Modernes und sauberes Ambiente.Das selbstgebraute Bier ist auch sehr lecker.Personal ist auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Preise sind angenehm. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Essen gut, schnell zubereitet. Service merkte man, dass sie überlastet sind. Getränke wurde aufgenommen, aber keine Nachfrage welche Größe erfolgt, wurden einfach kleine notiert.

Meine Eltern sind dort Stammkunden und immer wenn ich mitgehe ist alles perfekt dort

Wieder Essen für eine Feier bestellt. Wieder super Zufrieden. Essen war gut, hat vollkommen ausgereicht für die Personen Zahl. Pünktlich geliefert alles schnell aufgebaut. Das Fassbier mit Zapfanlage war das absolute Highlight auf der Feier. Preislich auch vollkommene in Ordnung. Sehr zu Empfehlen, immer wieder gerne. Das Essen vor Ort und die Location gefallen mir sehr. Die Auswahl ist auch super. Eher der Standard bzw. auch viele Heimische Gerichte. Einziges Problem ist die Parksituation (unter der Woche kein Problem) am Wochenende.

Ich hatte Schweinefilet mit Rahmsoße bestellt. Das Fleisch war trocken, die Pommes überhaupt nicht schmeckhaft, dafür aber schnell kalt, da die Pfanne nicht vorgewärmt war. Ob es ein Filetstück war bezweifel ich auch.

Sehr tolles Kindermenu, haben sich gefreut und hat wunderbar geschmeckt! Sehr empfehlenswert

Essen gut. Bier wie immer Lecker. Zuerst h wurde man gefragt ob man noch was möchte. Dann kommt 30 Minuten keiner obwohl man zahlen wollte.

Lange wartezeit, Kunden die später kamen hatten ihre Teller schon leer. Preise rauf. Portionen runter.

Habe ein Steak mit Kräuter Butter bestellt, habe reklamiert warum keine Butter dabei ist, Antwort wäre keine mehr da. Die Reklamation wurde einfach überhört. Ich war das letzte mal dort. Ich kann es nicht weiter empfehlen.

Es war ein sehr angenehmer schöner Abend mit meinen Freundinnen. Haben alle Salat mit Hähnchen oder Roastbeef gegessen. Das Fleisch war sehr zart,nicht zu trocken. Der Service war super. Der Herr, der uns bedient hatte war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Habe leider keinen Namen, aber danke nochmal für die freundliche Bewirtung. Kommen gerne wieder.

Ich kann es nur empfehlen, um richtig lecker Essen zu gehen. Reservierungs-Service klappt immer auch bei vollem Haus. Die Bedienung ist immer cool drauf, auch wenn "die Finger rund gehen müssen". Probiert einmal das Argentinische Rumpsteak in der Variante Well Done, also durchgebraten.

Mittel gut war alles ok aber das Schnitzel hat nach TK Ware geschmeckt. Personal freundlich. Es war sehr viel los und das Essen kam sehr spät.
