Schmalzle Erstklassig in Tübingen

The food was incredibly tasty, especially for the price. Would definitely come again. It was just a shame that despite reservations nothing was available and we had to wait outside. Even without any information about whether and how long it would take, we would be left standing in the entrance area and ignored. The ambience could be nice if the dining room wasn't so cramped and cluttered. Service was quick, friendly and attentive, and the homemade lemonades come highly recommended.

We waited for 30 minutes but were completely ignored. No menu, no drinks, no hello...Although the waitress was at the next table and saw us too. No sound. Other guests also said they had been waiting forever. There may certainly be a staff shortage, but then it would be nice to provide brief information. That's no way. It's not possible. After 30 minutes of completely ignoring it, we went somewhere else, it was quick and great.

Very modern, clean restaurant, with very friendly staff and great service. You can park relatively close to the restaurant. The prices are very fair for the generous portions. Appetizer platter for 2 was great! The grill platter for 2 was plentiful and tasted great! Rice and fries were also very good. The only criticism I have is that the meat was on the grill a little too long, so it was a little black and partly dry. This can happen, but it shouldn't. If it hadn't been for that, it would have been a solid 5 stars!

Stayed at the Hotel Kreuzberg for 3 nights. Located just outside about 700 m from the bus stop with connection to the main train station. Rooms very comfortable including a sofa, table and good beds. Breakfast was rich and the people were super nice. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right.

Really great pizza and not bad pasta either, but the pizza is the star in my eyes. Especially the more atypical creations. Service has always been friendly and good. Ambience is nice but not very comfortable. Prices are reasonable. I'd love to come back. Mahalo Phil
