Keine Bedienung ,man muß sich Getränke und Essen selbst holen.

Im Rahmen eines Jubiläums waren wir dort eingeladen und rundum zufrieden.

Immer wieder einen Besuch wert! Nicht nur das Angebot passt, auch das Team ist sehr freundlich und effizient.

Wir haben hier unsere Hochzeit gefeiert. Wir waren sowohl drinnen im Festsaal als auch außerhalb auf der wunderschönen, schattigen Terrasse. Alles hat wirklich reibungslos und nach Absprache funktioniert. Das gesamte Team hat den ganzen Tag wirklich ausgezeichnete Arbeit geleistet!! Das Essen war richtig lecker und wurde von allen Gästen sehr gelobt. Kommen gerne auch so mal wieder vorbei. Vielen Dank für alles !!

ich war gestern mit meiner Freundin im Biergarten, hatte mir dort einen Schweinebraten mit Knödel bestellt der mir nicht besonders geschmeckt hat. Nach einer sehr freundlichen Rücksprach mit Herr Nemeth und einer Entschuldigung alles wieder ok.

Update 24.06.2026 Heute haben wir den Biergarten besucht. Es sind genügend Parkplätze vor Ort. Der Biergarten ist groß und sauber. Es ist Selbstbedienung. Die Leute hinter der Theke sind nett und auf zack. Das Essen konnte ziemlich bald, nach ausschreiben der Abholnummer abgeholt werden. Es schmeckte mir sehr gut, auch wenn die Preise, für Selbstbedienung nicht ganz günstig sind. Meiner Begleitung schmeckte es leider nicht so gut (Tiroler Gröstl) und es wurde ein Teil zurück gegeben. Der junge Mann, welcher das Geschirr vom Tisch abräumen war ebenfalls sehr zuvorkommend. Vielen Dank. Ein total klasse und schickes Lokal? Alles war sehr hübsch gerichtet. Die Dame im Servce war sehr nett. Wir haben dort einen Fine dine Gutschein eingelöst. Die Essensauswahl war gut, jedoch nicht all zu groß. Danke für den Gruß aus der Küche vorab - war sehr lecker. Das Essen war absolut spitze. Mein Steak war sehr, sehr gut. Die Qualität war einmalig. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Uns hats sehr gut gefallen. Backhendl mit Kartoffelsalat sehr zu empfehlen. Die Bratensülze war auch echt lecker, obwohl sie nicht mit Brühe gemacht wurde (das ist einfach noch leckerer). Das Kinderschnitzel wurde auch komplett verputzt. Sehr angenehm unter den Kastanien. Echt gemütlich.

Wir waren zu dritt im Biergarten und haben 2x paniertes Schweineschnitzel mit Pommes, und Schweinebraten mit 2 Kartoffelknödel bestellt. Den zweiten Knödel musste man extra bezahlen. Über das Essen kann man nicht meckern. Es hat alles gut geschmeckt. Der Schweinebraten war sehr zart. Leider war nur der Biergarten auf. Das Restaurant selbst geschlossen. Deswegen gab es sehr wenig Auswahl. Zb haben typische Brotzeiten gefehlt wie Obazda, Wurstbrotzeit oder Käsebrotzeit, was ich entäuschend fand. Trotzdem lohnt es sich zu kommen. Vor allem für Familie. Der Biergarten bietet einfach auch unheimlich viel Platz.

Es war nett dort. Selbstbedienung.

Typische regionale Küche, bequeme Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Haus

Im Biergarten Selbstbedienung kommt eher selten vor. Aber mit nur einer Kasse ist die Schlange dann entsprechend lange. Deine Frau sitzt dann erst mal alleine am Tisch, während du anstehst, die Getränke holst und das Essen bestellst. Dann musst du warten bis eine Nummer von einem deiner Essenbons angezeigt wird und kannst schonmal den ersten Teller abholen. Gemeinsam essen ist sehr unwahrscheinlich, da du ja nicht weißt, wann der zweite Teller abholbereit ist. Bei einer größeren Gruppe isst jeder zu einer anderen Zeit und besonders heiß sind die Teller bzw. Gerichte dann auch nicht mehr.

Wirklich schöner und entspannter Biergarten. Essen ok.

Die Schlossgaststätte Wellenburg bietet einen großartigen Home Lieferservice (ab Mittwoch) an. Die Bestellung (Rostbraten mit Käsespätzle und Salat) wurde pünktlich geliefert. Der Preis ist fair und die Qualität herausragend gut. Der Rostbraten lässt sich nach Wunsch gegart bestellen. Die Käsespätzle (Knopfspätzle) verdienen ihren Namen und passen ideal zum Rostbraten. Eine hausgemachte sehr gute Soße (ausreichend) rundet das Ganze ab und der Salat (bunt gemischt, mit Kartoffelsalat) ist die Krönung. Von mir sehr gerne 5 verdiente Sterne. Eigentlich kein schlechter Biergarten. Ansehnlich. Als ich dort nach einem Stück Kuchen fragte, wurde mir ein Apfelstrudel angeboten. Warum nicht? Na weil er uralt war und in der Mircowelle aufgewärmt wurde. Ich bin nicht kritisch beim Essen. Aber der war zwar essbar, nur nicht zu genießen. Das war frech. Ich hab mir später noch ein Wasser geholt und da war dann eine junge Frau hinter dem Tresen, die mich dann auch noch herablassend behandelt hat. Vermutlich passte ich nicht in ihr Stadtbild. Traurig.

Ein tolles Erlebnis in der Schlossgaststätte Wellenburg! Eine schöne Auswahl an typischen Gerichten und eine wunderbare Atmosphäre, ideal für Treffen mit Familie und Freunden. Perfekt für einen Kurztrip in die Umgebung oder als Zwischenstopp auf einer Radtour. Die wunderschöne und entspannende Umgebung macht den Aufenthalt noch schöner.

Sehr schöne Atmosphäre in der Schlossgaststätte Wellenburg. Das Backhendel war wirklich hervorragend – saftig und sehr lecker. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die extrem nette und freundliche Bedienung. Auch die Inhaber bieten einen exzellenten Service und kümmern sich mit viel Herzlichkeit um ihre Gäste. Wir waren im Biergarten Wellenburg und waren wirklich begeistert. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die großen Portionen – hier wird man definitiv satt! War zum ersten Mal dort, mit früheren Geschäftspartnern im Restaurant dort getroffen. Kurzum: 5 von 5 Sternen, unsere Vorspeisen und Hauptspeisen waren ausgezeichnet, hochklassig, perfekt abgestimmt mit Soßen und Beilagen. Tische sind etwas weiter auseinander, dadurch hat man mehr Privatsphäre als gewöhnlich, finde ich persönlich gut. Sehr gute, gehobene Österreichische Küche, weiter so! Nochmal Danke für die Geduld bei sehr anspruchsvollen Gästen ;-)

Hervorragende Gerichte (das Beuscherl verdient die Höchstnote), freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service

Ich hatte ein gutes Restaurant erwartet und ein erstklassiges erlebt. Das Essen war hervorragend. Der Service war grandios. Ein so gutes Essen und einen sehr leckeren Wein, auf diesem Niveau hatte ich nicht erwartet.

Perfekte Wiener Schnitzeln (Glutenfrei auch!). Gemütliches Atmosphäre. Hat ein bisschen zu lang gedauert bis wir unsere erste Getränke bestellen könnten und bekommen haben, aber sonst top! Gerne wieder.

Die Schlossgaststätte Wellenburg hat uns einen tollen Rahmen zu einer Geburtstagsfeier gegeben. Stilvolles Ambiente, gutes Essen und ein sehr freundlicher, diskreten Service. 60 Gäste und die Jubilarin sind sehr zufrieden nach Hause gegangen. Herzlichen Dank für die tolle Feier

Wir waren zu elft für den Geburtstag unseres 89-jährigen Vaters dort. Besonders gut gefällt uns die ruhige Atmosphäre im Gastraum, es ist sogar möglich, dass etwas schwerhörige ältere Gäste am Gespräch mitteilnehmen. Das Essen war frisch und besonders aufgefallen ist der phantasievoll angerichtet Tafelspitz! Auch für 2 Vegetarier gab's das passende leckere Angebot. Und zum Schluss für das 'Geburtstagskind' noch ein Schokoladentörtchen mit Kerze! Also rundherum ein gelungener Abend! Besten Dank Nemeth!

Ich habe kürzlich die Schlossgaststätte Wellenburg besucht und es war ein absolutes Highlight! Die kreative Speisekarte mit österreichischem Einfluss, gepaart mit dem exzellenten Service haben uns überzeugt. Die perfekte Weinbegleitung, ausgesucht von der Chefin des Hauses, hat uns begeistert. Wellenburg ist für uns ein super Ziel für qualitativ hochwertige Speisen und top Service.

War letzte Woche in der Gaststätte vor Ort und war leider total enttäuscht. Das Essen hat nicht frisch geschmeckt und die Bedienung war auch schon mal besser gelaunt. Ich bin damals immer gerne hergekommen aber inzwischen lohnt es sich für die Preise nicht mehr.

Wir waren bereits zum zweiten Mal hier Essen und jedes Mal ist es wirklich Klasse. Super Qualität und Geschmack, tolles gemütliches Ambiente und sehr netter Service. Für uns eine absolute Empfehlung!

Wir hatten eine kleine Feier zum 75. Geburtstag am 26.12.25. Das Ambiente, das Essen und auch die Servicekraft waren echt wunderbar, spitze. Wir waren sehr überrascht von der extrem freundlichen Art. Perfektes Essen, alles mehr als top. Wir werden dies weiter empfehlen und kommen selbst auch sehr gerne wieder!!!!

I celebrated my 60th birthday at the Wellenburg Castle Restaurant. The pre-event consultation, the celebration itself, the food, and the service were simply perfect. Requests for lactose-free and vegetarian meals from two of my guests were also handled easily and courteously. The celebration couldn't have been better. I owe that to the Nemeth family and all the staff.

Food very good. Service could be improved. Beer was poorly priced, significantly below the fill line. Waitstaff were not uniformly dressed. Prices were high; over €11 for 0.2l of wine was too much. Small menu. No children's dishes.

Great place as a starting point for a hike and for larger groups to celebrate.

Lovely restaurant with good food and a great atmosphere! The only downside that evening... the soup was unsalted. The service was very friendly.

The bread and spread were forgotten beforehand and dismissed with a "Oh, I forgot." The manager noticed this but didn't rectify it. The wine list is more than meager (only one red, one white, and one rosé wine available by the glass), the rest only by the bottle. It has no place at Fine Fine.

This review refers to the restaurant, not the beer garden. The latter is significantly better. Unfortunately, the castle restaurant is out of the question as a venue for an upcoming 80th birthday celebration. We celebrated our wedding there 27 years ago and thought that after years of mediocrity and numerous changes of ownership, it would have recovered. Unfortunately, no. The side room we were interested in still looks as "rustic" as it did just before the turn of the millennium. The unpadded wooden benches were particularly disappointing. The menu certainly sounds interesting. The quality of the food was not recommended in either case: The sliced ​​venison was a small portion, quite stringy, overloaded with mushrooms, and served with dry bread dumplings. The venison patty was rather salty and otherwise not particularly outstanding in terms of flavor – we've had better, for example, in a log cabin in the middle of nowhere in the Eifel region (Blockhaus zum Schwarzen Mann). Overall, the price-performance ratio is completely off.

What a lovely evening at this restaurant! The service was friendly and attentive, and the menu was small but excellent. The atmosphere was very inviting, and anyone who enjoys Austrian cuisine will be in heaven. The creative cocktails, some of which are non-alcoholic, are also worth mentioning. Besides the classic dishes, I highly recommend the Tafelspitz (served cold) as a starter. We had a wonderful evening there and will definitely be back. There is ample parking available.

It's unbelievable how you're treated as a guest here! I'll briefly describe my experience: After the restaurant had "venison" on the menu, I called at lunchtime to reserve a table for dinner. When I pointed out that venison was on the menu that evening, a woman told me that it might be sold out that evening. Since we wanted to come specifically for this dish, I asked if they could reserve two portions of the dish for me. I received the unfriendly reply that she could do it, but that it wasn't certain that it would work. I then stated that this wasn't service and received the rude and cheeky reply: "You know what? Then you don't need to come at all." Honestly, I've never experienced anything like it. I will definitely not be going to this restaurant again. Fortunately, there are plenty of good alternatives.

I can only speak highly of it. This was our first time here. We were very pleasantly surprised by the welcome and escort to our table; our first impression was very good. The service was very professional, competent, and unobtrusively friendly. The staff was always approachable, and all our requests were happily fulfilled. The Schlutzkrapfen appetizer was sensational, followed by venison medallions accompanied by a fabulous glass of red wine and a Wiener Schnitzel, tender as butter. The meal concluded with an excellent Kaiserschmarren (smothered pancakes), rare in its quality. It was a delight from the first moment to the last, and we're already looking forward to the next time. Great atmosphere and good food! The only disappointing dish so far was the salad, as the meat and sauce were far too thin. All the other dishes, like the currywurst, schnitzel, and fried chicken, are highly recommended 😊

Vegan chicken wasn't available, the vegetable patty was too salty, too sour, and undercooked. The turkey schnitzel with fries was okay. Plus, there was a lot of car traffic.

Great place for outdoor dining!

We had lunch at the Wellenburg Castle Restaurant on Father's Day and had a wonderful time. Our little one had a wonderful, sturdy, and clean wooden highchair, and we were given a lovely table by the window. The tables in the spacious, bright, and cozy dining room were discreetly decorated, and everything blended together perfectly. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, and we felt very welcome, even with our toddler. As a welcome from the kitchen, we had delicious pork lard with various rolls. The waiter even brought more bread for our little one, who was delighted :) We had Stroganoff-style fillet tips with hash browns and a wild herb salad; both were delicious. The caramelized Kaiserschmarrn for dessert, with apricot and plum compote, was also impressive. For sun worshippers: You can also sit outside on a lovely green terrace. Update August 2025: Today we went to the beer garden for dinner with a family friend. The beer garden has plenty of seating and a small playground with a sandbox and climbing frame for the kids. The foosball table was also very popular :) The food was delicious, and we didn't have to wait too long for it. There's a large selection of hot dishes, snacks, and children's meals. Upon request, they even offer some gluten- and lactose-free dishes, which I was very pleased about :) There's a separate deep fryer and breaded dishes, for example, schnitzel can also be ordered gluten-free. All the staff were super friendly, and we felt very comfortable. We'll definitely be back!!!

The food in the beer garden was mediocre. Foreign objects (bristles and something metallic) were found in both dishes. Service was pleasant, but overwhelmed. The once beautiful chestnut trees had only brown, withered leaves by August. I have no idea whether pest infestation or drought is the cause, but the owner should take care of these old, beautiful trees.

We were guests at the Wellenburg Castle Restaurant with 17 people for a company anniversary. The menu suggestions proposed by the Nemeth family and the execution in the kitchen were excellent. The drinks and service also deserve 5 stars. A definite recommendation! We would be happy to return.

Nice beer garden and good food selection.

No. A Tyrolean Gröstel for €13 is way too expensive. I stared at the display for 48 minutes waiting for it to be picked up, then I asked at the food counter... and, surprise, it was already cold. Gröstel: burnt fried potatoes made from two small potatoes, about 50 grams of meatloaf in chunks, a fried egg on top. Served with a squashed mini salad. Cost of goods: about €2. We don't recommend this beer garden because of the disastrous food quality, exorbitant sales prices, and the high noise level from the integrated playground. We've known this restaurant for 14 years, and our conclusion: it's getting worse and worse!

We held our company summer party in the beer garden of the Wellenburg Castle Restaurant, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The food was amazing, the service was impeccable, the buffet was perfectly planned, and the location was perfect—especially for the many children who attended. We highly recommend the castle restaurant and will definitely be back sometime. Thanks to the team for the fantastic evening.

Sorry, you can't offer the Bavarian sausage salad "soup" to anyone. You should be aware of that. Otherwise, it's nice and refreshing in the summer heat when everything's cooking.

Perfect for a break during a bike ride. A lovely self-service beer garden. A large food and drink menu, so everyone will find something they like. Prices are perfectly reasonable. Restrooms are plentiful and very clean! Both the aspic and the sausage salad were generous portions and delicious with fresh homemade bread! We'll be back 👍👍👍

Hier kann man bei einem kühlen Aperol unter Kastanien entspannen und dazu auch super lecker essen. Wir kommen regelmäßig in den Biergarten Wellenburg und sind jedes mal begeistert von den Speisen, die für einen Biergarten, definitiv über dem Durchschnitt liegen. Gerade die Tageskarte hat immer wieder gutes zu bieten, dass wir sonst nur aus dem Restaurant kennen. Wir können den Biergarten Wellenburg nur weiterempfehlen.

A beautifully located self-service beer garden. The dishes on offer are tasty, but not always as advertised on the menu. If it says mustard and horseradish, I'd gladly have both on my plate, even without asking. Liptauer without bread is also interesting. You can get the bread upon request. But there's always a wait, as the kitchen staff is alone and seemingly overwhelmed. And that's already at half capacity. Perhaps there's room for improvement.

Wir waren als Familie mit dem Radl zum Abendessen im Biergarten Wellenburg und hatten einen rundum gelungenen Abend. Die Atmosphäre unter den alten Kastanien ist einfach herrlich – typisch bayerisch, gemütlich und sehr einladend. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich und aufmerksam, obwohl der Biergarten gut besucht war. Das Essen war frisch, lecker und kam zügig – besonders die Schnitzel und der Liptauer haben uns überzeugt. Auch für die Kinder war gesorgt: Der Spielplatz in Sichtweite der Tische war ein echtes Highlight und hat den Erwachsenen ein entspanntes Essen ermöglicht. Ein toller Ort für Familien, um einen entspannten Abend bei gutem Essen und in schöner Umgebung zu genießen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Kässpatzen waren kalt, Schnitzel schmeckt nicht frisch zubereitet, Zu wenig Besteck. Wer gut essen will, sollte wo anders hingehen. Preis in Ordnung, aber lecker ist was anderes…

Cold cheese patties, cutlery suddenly empty, schnitzel doesn't taste fresh and portions far too small. If you want to eat well, you should go somewhere else.

The perfect alternative if you want to order for home and not just pizza or kebab. The onion roast is medium rare, the Kaiserschmarrn is like on holiday in Austria. Super tasty. Fast delivery, friendly driver, gladly 5 stars.

Die Schlossgaststätte Wellenburg ist ein echter Geheimtipp bei Augsburg! Wunderschön gelegen im Grünen, mit gemütlichem Biergarten und traditioneller bayerischer / österreichischer Küche. Das Essen war frisch, lecker und liebevoll zubereitet – besonders das Schnitzel und der Apfelstrudel sind zu empfehlen. Sehr freundliches Personal und ein entspanntes Ambiente machen den Besuch perfekt. Ideal für Familien, Spaziergänger oder als Ziel für einen Wochenendausflug. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Nach einem Waldspaziergang sind wir in der Schlossgaststätte eingekehrt und haben dort sehr lecker gegessen. Es gab eine Tageskarte mit österreichischen Speisen, aus der wir uns Vorspeise und Hauptgang gewählt haben. Vogerlsalat und Salonbeuscherl haben wunderbar geschmeckt und auch das vegetarische Einkorn-Risotto hat meiner Freundin sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir können Wellenburg nur empfehlen.

Nur die Aussage was für harte Wochen man hatte und Gäste bestellen oft das eine so das andere so . Sorry frech und dann legte die Dame einfach auf . Für ins Zölis schon schwer genug was zu finden aber das bestätigt es einfach nur noch das die Gastro einfach kein Plan hat und wenn man fragt und drauf hinweist nur noch pampig reagiert . Der Vorfall wird eindeutiger sich an der passenden Stelle gemeldet Glutenfrei gekennzeichnet also muss es auch geliefert sein so .

Always very tasty. Onion roast and also the cheese sparrows are highly recommended and we will continue to order them again and again.
