We were at Ameron Spa which is wonderful. Schloss Bräustüberl is a beer 🍺 house, typical German beer house with nice and friendly stuff… the “weiss Bier” you cannot lose! We don’t have a lot of options to eat but all of them are great! We went two nights and definitely will go back to the hotel and to Schloss Bräustüberl! Ivan is a waiter/ manager that is also great interecting guy! Thank you 🍻! The ambiance is really cozy too🥰

Very spacious restaurant with beautiful typical decoration of the area.Dinner We sat at a huge table very well super calm with our dog ta.Abundant portions with good co production and quality of the product. The menu says,, Main courses to fill you up.,, I ordered duck. I would say a maximum of 100g. For me it's a children's portion. But 25 euros for that? Price performance weak

Definitely overpriced. Fried onions in Käsespätzle are dry like paper. Several dishes were not available, and the waiters looked overworked. But of course… when you in a touristy place and are guaranteed to have visitors, why bother about quality? Better go eat in Füssen if you can.

Tourist trap! Creamy chanterelles are champions with knorr packets and the dumpling is also out of the packet. Too little and too expensive for just under €20. Obatzta was ok, but too expensive for €10. The trout fillet was very, very small and measly for €25, but the taste of the dish was good. Service was good at first because everything was empty, but in the end it was very mushy and intrusive - we had to reorder and actively asked for a tip. The homemade lemonade was actually very good. The Executive Assistant Manager's answer is untrue! The same complaints have been piling up in the reviews for years, nothing is tried or taken seriously here. Conclusion: 65€ and we went straight to the next restaurant, tourist trap, means once and never again

The food was good but nothing special. The portions are reasonable. The ambience doesn't really make you feel comfortable, it's very cold. At the end when we wanted to pay they asked for separate bills. Eyes were rolled at first. After a lot of back and forth it was somehow possible. I would not recommend this restaurant.

The food was good. The portions normal. Unfortunately, the room is not particularly well heated and some people are sitting at the table wearing winter jackets. In addition, the waitress was uneasy and there were one or two facial expressions when people wanted to pay separately. I'll be spending my money elsewhere in the coming days.

This evening we ate at the Bräustüberl for the third time and it was always very good. The service staff are very friendly and super attentive. The food comes quickly and tastes very good, the portions are appropriate, we were always full. The ambience is great. What could be improved are: - an automatic door closer as unfortunately many guests are unable to close the door behind them when entering. The staff does this very quickly, but it's not that nice to sit at the door, especially in winter. - Renewing or installing sealing tape in the window frame would also be great, as it drafts a lot when you sit with your back in the window. - Candles on the tables would be great. This way you would have a little more light at the tables without ruining the beautiful, rustic atmosphere. Of course, it may be that things cannot be implemented due to monument protection. We will definitely spend our last evenings in the Bräustüberl because we feel completely comfortable here 😃👍🏼

This is a restaurant that is open until late at night, which is rare in this area. Enjoy Bavarian beer and sausages.

Service was very good and friendly. We were welcomed straight away and taken to a table. And it was very surprising that many of the tables were free and that the large hall made us feel like we were in a train station. We had the “Wiener Style” schnitzel and the bratwurst with potatoes. Unfortunately, the schnitzel wasn't really a “Viennese style” schnitzel, but rather tasted like one Imitation snack. The fries were frozen food including ketchup and mayo from the bag. Not good food for €19.50, I can get it in the snack bar around the corner for a maximum of €10. The bratwurst tasted okay, but it didn't match the price and was very salty. Overall, a very poor experience for such a beautiful setting.

This is a quintessential German beer hall. Long tables, high arch ceilings, good beer, and good food. The service is friendly and prompt. It was a great stop for a meal during our visit to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau.

When we arrived the place was packed but within minutes the staff were able to find us a table. The food is not bad, reasonably priced, and the staff is attentive.

We were in Hohenschwangau at the weekend and wanted to eat at the Bräustübel. We came in and there were almost 1/3 of the tables occupied, some with only 2 people. We were asked if we had reserved, and when we said no we were very rudely told that there would be no space available that evening. Even if it is, you could still be friendly. We then went to the Müller restaurant and can only warmly recommend it.

Eating in a cold train station is the closest thing to it. Service was quite clumsy, just like in a hotel. Coziness = 0. Everyone sat at the table wearing winter jackets. Why does it have to be like that??? Food was ok. Probably the best thing you can get for lunch in town. But the bar is also set very low! Pretzels were frozen instead of from the bakery. Why?? The hotel gets some from the bakery anyway, so why not the restaurant too?

Service is bad, food is mediocre. There was a very long wait for the food to be served. The only thing I liked was the apple strudel.

Update: Had to deduct one star from 2 for the outrageous response to my review. The insinuation that I feel the need to write bad reviews from multiple accounts just because another comment that day was bad is really the height of it. NEVER AGAIN! A rather disappointing experience... The beer (wheat beer) didn't taste much at night, but the AMERON lemonade was very good. The starter was quite good, salad dressing tasted good, but was probably something ready-made. The “cream mushrooms” were mushrooms in a sauce from the ready-made package. The trout tasted very good, but the portion for 25€??? The waitress never asked if the food was good or not. When we politely asked her when we were paying that the food wasn't good or enough, she probably got too stupid because she just left without saying a word and rolling her eyes. So the food from the pictures wasn't worth €65. Doesn't have to happen again.

A large pillared hall with large tables. It's clocky there. With friendly service and you won't be ripped off with the prices despite the perfect location. 0.5 drink is €5.

1 star because zero not possible I arrived with my wife while another couple was leaving, when asked to the waiter he told us that we have to wait. In the meanwhile another client arrived and took a place, another couple arrived after us and the same waiter give them place in front of us. It is a cold weather outside but after 20 min we preferred to leave that colder welcome, I took the picture just to remember to not come back

We ordered the half chicken with potato salad and it was really good! (16.50 euros) I think the place is underrated and does not deserve at all a 3.5. I would highly recommend eating here, at least lunch.

We have eaten there. There were three of us and we shared a table with two people. The sirloin was delicious and the potato was mixed with onion. The waitress has been very attentive.

We had a fantastic dinner at Schloss Bräustüberl Hohenschwangau and like others cannot understand the previous negative reviews. We wandered up from our hotel and weren't sure we would get a table as they were busy and we didn't have a booking but they made space for us. Our waitress Tünde was attentive, prompt and polite and we had a fantastic meal with delicious beers! Would highly recommend!

Good morning, We are very satisfied with our stay here and the meal, everything was very good. The welcome was also there: in fact there had been a small problem with our reservation via the hotel, but after checking by showing the email received that it was indeed this restaurant, we were seated no problem whatever. This partly justifies the tip I left, the amount of which I was able to determine myself on the TPE when paying by card. Unfortunately, once again a gastronomic place that wants to be more than it is. It’s hard to believe this place has received low reviews, as our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. After a long drive, we stumbled upon the restaurant while searching for a washroom. Ivan, who greeted us warmly, graciously helped us, knowing we weren’t there to dine at the time. His kindness left such an impression that we returned for dinner after visiting the castle, and it was the best decision we made. We ordered traditional Bavarian dishes, and each bite was bursting with flavor—we only regretted not ordering more! With six of us at the table, Ivan’s hospitality stood out above all. Despite the restaurant nearing closing time, he never rushed us. In fact, he made our evening even more special with small souvenirs, which were a heartwarming gesture. The kindness Ivan displayed will stay with us, and neither his hospitality nor this wonderful restaurant will be forgotten! If you’re ever in the area, don’t miss the chance to experience this gem.

Our experience here was really positive and I simply cannot explain such low ratings here! The meals were tasty, portions were not small. The food we got quickly and service was also good. We had Goulaschsuppe, Schnitzel "Wiener Art" and Kaiserschmarrn. And it costs not too much. Especially I liked the Kaiserschmarrn, it was sooo tasty! If we visit the castle and lake again, I am sure, we come back here also.

My fiancée and I stopped here for a light dinner during our brief stay in Schwangau. The Schnitzel "Wiener Art" and pommes frittes were flavorful and filling, and the Almcreme dessert was delicious - we highly recommend saving room. The Kellner was extremely patient and helpful, as we still struggle with basic Deutsch, and his helpfulness is what brings this review up to 5-stars. Vielen Dank!

Das ist keine gute Küche und schon gar nicht bayerisch. Käspätzle sahen grau aus und nicht frisch gemacht weiß Gott wo die herkamen . Schweinebraten war nicht mal richtig aufgewärmt. Die Preise für sowas übertrieben. Rundum nicht zu empfehlen.

The Obatzda was very good, the pretzel was fresh and the salad was beautifully presented with a delicious dressing and pumpkin seeds, croutons and cress. The beers are cold and very well poured, the tables are always wiped down, the service is really quick and friendly, and the dog is also brought fresh water. The view of 2 castles at the same time is incredibly beautiful. It doesn't get any better. I can't understand the bad reviews.

The food tastes good. The portion size of the pork crust roast was good, the knuckles were too small and they also charged 2.50 euros for extra sauce. That's pretty bold. The portion of the Kaiserschmarrn should have been larger for 13.50 euros. And then also 12.00 euros for parking. You don't have to go out of the country to get ripped off. I won't be coming back to Fussen in such conditions to see the sights, to give the tourists a drift. Not only tourists but also locals and that sort of thing is not great. You're no longer willing to give a good drink money when for everything allowed to pay extra!!!!!!.

It's a nice beer garden, the service was friendly and nice. But opinions differ when it comes to food. The roast pork had almost no sauce. I politely complained about this to the service team. He came out of the kitchen and said he had to pay 2 euros for it. That's a disgrace from the kitchen. The roast pork was a very, very dry affair and you could hardly eat it. We won't come anymore. At most to drink a beer. But no longer for eating.

Had lunch here during a trip to Neuschwanstein Castle. The place as busy but the waitress was friendly and efficient and I got a table after a short wait. I ordered the local sausage and wheat bier. Both were good. Service was fast and efficient. A good option for meals in the area.

Unfortunately not recommended. The food was disastrous. We had cream mushrooms with bread dumplings - that was everything but bread dumplings!!!, Viennese style schnitzel - the schnitzel was just bad!!! and roast pork - meat OK, but never had such bad dumplings. The staff just seemed stressed, even though the store wasn't necessarily full. They weren't flexible enough to make separate invoices for our group (5 people, 2 receipts requested).

It is very convenient to have lunch here after visiting the Swan Castle. It should be the choice of most tourists, so the business is very good and almost full. It also happened to rain and it rained a lot during the meal. The food tastes good, and it is a short break for a meal. Good choice.

Hello, unfortunately I was disappointed. Visually chic, I imagined typical German Bavarian cuisine. I got a snack or 0815 canteen. You can pay the price, but not for this quality. Just under €15 for a bratwurst like from Aldi and a potato salad from a bucket. The price-performance ratio is not right despite the ambience. The schnitzel also looked like an outdoor pool snack. Obadzter with salad for €10 was ok. Roast pork looked very good.

I was taught to always start a review with something positive. Accordingly; The location of the beer garden is really pretty. But that's where the positive impressions end. The staff was incredibly unfriendly. The beer we ordered was poured onto the table with such force that almost half of it spilled over. The tables were not wiped and there were no fresh dishes on the tables. The food was acceptable. The white sausages were okay, although I have never seen bad white sausages anywhere. The pretzels were soggy and definitely not fresh. The cheese spaetzle tasted like the ones you can buy out of a bag at REWE for €2.50 and the onions were soft and not crispy. Overall, I definitely can't recommend this. It's better to go to Schwangau and eat there, you can get more and better food there for the same price.

Quite OK, but nothing more. We initially sat outside, unfortunately there were so many wasps there that we preferred to go inside. The ambience inside is not nice at all. It sounds and smells extremely like old beer. It is also very dark. We ate the Obatzer with a pretzel and the Wiener Schnitzel. Unfortunately the pretzel was very dry and hard. Otherwise the platter was very tasty and sufficient. The portion of the Wiener Schnitzel was okay, could be larger. But the food came very quickly. The cutlery is in jugs on the tables, unfortunately there were only spoons on our table. Since there was no service nearby for minutes, we had to walk from table to table and collect our cutlery while our food was already there...

We were nervous (for no good reason) about trying this place and our experience was outstanding- all of the German food options we tried were outstanding including the fish, the Spätzle and the schnitzel - and we are now huge fans of pretzel salad!

I didn't pay a tip. Choosing a tip is a great way to play in times like this. Even though I got stung by a bee, she didn't care. That's heartless. The label on the water bottle was moldy or had mildew stains. After asking for a mold-free bottle, we were given a bottle with fewer mold stains. Obazden was ok but probably not homemade, the sausage salad didn't really look fresh.

Choose wisely: you are in a tourist location where the customer is used to fund the house's finances. I had my first doubt when I saw the note on the card only in English "charged service not included". American friends, you have been warned. In Germany as in many countries, the service is included... And should be specified.... 2nd clue when the glass of beer was served, half filled with foam. It turns out that I don't particularly like drinking foam. The waitress replaced it for me without batting an eyelid. Judging from the many beers served around me, this half-quantity practice was well established. 3rd surprise: I was tempted by seasonal chanterelle pasta. Surprise, the chanterelles have transformed into button mushrooms. It's not the same price: €4 versus €25 for chanterelles. This didn't seem to surprise the waiter who assured me that it was certainly because the kitchen didn't have any chanterelles. However, he offered me a coffee as compensation since he couldn't do anything about the price🫢 Besides, for US friends, the service was included 😉 So consumer friends: a bird forewarned is worth two.

Update summer 2024... the service is friendly and we ordered several beers, all of which came to the table only half full... At the third beer we said something, after all it costs over five euros there and the waitress brought us new ones without any problem... the waiter behind the counter should see something like that before he gives it out... if I pay 0.5, I want to I also have 0.5😉We were there yesterday 2023 for a morning pint, with live music, we really enjoyed it, the service was A1 and we had a great day, thank you👍 see you soon🥨🍺

We sat in the brewery in the evening. On Sunday afternoon the waiting time was too long. Food was solid. Compared to other pubs in the region, this falls short. We had the schnitzel once for adults and for children. There was no difference to be seen. But in terms of price. The Ameron concept in Neuschwanstein benefits from international tourism. In terms of quality, the hotel and restaurant have the character of a conference hotel.

Warm beer on a warm day. No thanks, and after we complained, they just put ice in Radler. You generally don't feel welcome right from the start. The staff are indifferent and rather bored or annoyed. It's a real shame, because you want to start your vacation in such a beautiful place in a better way.

Can't quite understand the bad reviews. It is a beer garden where classic food is served like in a beer garden. If you keep this in mind when making your choice, you won't be disappointed. The potato and cucumber salad was homemade and so was the lemonade. The view is great. Perfect for a day in the sun.

The beer garden is close to the bus stop for Neuschwanstein Castle and has a nice, inviting atmosphere. The food is also good and the shandy is particularly recommended. What unfortunately has to be criticized is the slow service. First of all, the wait before you are assigned a table and then the service at the table. However, if you have some time, it's not a problem.

We just went for a drink. For the price the service was subpar. 2 out of 5 drinks ordered came to the table correctly. Not a word of apology - a shame ☹️

You can get a table with views of both castles. Skip lunch (it is fine) and enjoy great desserts (Almcreme is creme brulée with awesome cherries, apple strudel is also great). Ask for the Apricot Scnapps (Marillenschnaps); you're welcome. :)

3 people, staff in the beer garden and all 3 busy with the TV for the audience viewing. After 10 minutes of asking the nice lady behind the counter whether we could order something, she spoke to her colleague who was responsible for service. This gentleman (with the tattooed arm) then said to her "I'll serve you straight away, we're not at McDonald's". The lady was very uncomfortable and apologized to us. VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. We weren't the only ones who left the beer garden. A couple came after us, they also had to watch as 3 waitresses made sure that the TV was properly viewed, and they also left the beer garden. That's not how you treat guests. The three of them have clearly missed their job.
