Do not let the convenient placing of this restaurant fool you. Far from being a tourist trap, this is a fantastic place to taste delicious German dishes (both main dishes and desserts) at a small price. The staff is attentive, efficient and nice, and after several days in Germany trying the Kaiserschmarrn (traditional sweet dessert) I can tell you this has been the best.

We had launch at Kainz after visiting the Neuschwanstein castle. The terrace gives a nice view of the castle, the food was ok but we were invaded by wasps (which is a common problem in the Bavarian region) but here there were more and we had to eat quickly so we could leave

Avoid eating here. Lots of wasps and the male server was very rude.

Good service, nothing outstanding about it, but was harassed twice after not tipping. Why would I tip if there’s nothing outstanding about your service? Food was good though. Just unpleasant Italian guy server. He asked where I was from and he said in Canada they tip, so why don’t I tip here? I only tip if there’s outstanding service. This was just normal service, nothing outstanding…stop harassing us. The food was good, we were pleasant and we paid.

Everything is delicious, perfect for Korean tastes. Burger is really good. There are a lot of bees on the terrace. You can eat while looking at the castle, so the atmosphere is nice.

When I was in Germany for about two weeks, I stopped by Füssen to see Neuschwanstein Castle. Although it is a tourist destination, there are not many restaurants, so I hesitated before going in. We ordered 5 burgers from a blond middle-aged woman as there were 5 of us, and asked for 2 of them without pickles, but the hamburgers we received were completely missing the tomatoes, bacon, fried egg, onions, etc. that should have been included. When I asked the staff about it, they didn't understand me because they didn't speak English, so they suddenly gave me a plate and told me to eat it on my own, leaving out what I couldn't eat. I had to remove everything, so they gave it to me, so I was wondering what I should take away from a hamburger that only had lettuce and meat.. When I talked to him again, he said he would cook a new dish, so I waited. I waited for almost an hour. Then the hamburger we received was a cheeseburger with only bread, meat and cheese. After inquiring again, we were able to eat the burgers after over an hour. Since we are not good at English, we did not use difficult English expressions. Still, she didn't quite understand. The woman who got my order wrong didn't even say a word of apology. I felt so bad that I just ate and paid and left, but a man who seemed to be the manager followed me and asked for a tip. Aren’t tips given as gratitude for good service? When I said there was no tip, the man said, “This is not your country, this is Germany!!” He shouted. I've been to many restaurants in Germany, but this is the worst restaurant I've ever had. Not even 1 star is worth it.

I visited because of the good reviews. The staff was quite friendly. It tasted good and I was satisfied. I would like to recommend it to others.

Even though it is a tourist destination, the employees do not speak English. I only asked for the pickles to be removed, but they removed all the onions, eggs, bacon, and tomatoes. So I said it again, and I didn't receive any food for 30 minutes without any other service. Afterwards, I spoke again and this time they only gave me meat and bread without lettuce. They didn't give us the menu we ordered, but at the end we asked them not to give us a tip, and of course they said "no tip", so they got angry and said that we should tip because it's Germany and not your country. Very good value for money, clean, tidy and very tasty food. The waitresses were extremely courteous and the food came very quickly.

Great value for money, we've experienced something else in such a touristy region. The house was full to the last seat, and since it was raining the rush didn't get any smaller, but the service team didn't lose track and remained friendly. Food and drinks were at the table super quickly and everything was hot and delicious!

Nice atmosphere, good service. The food wasn't good at all. We had cheese spaetzle that was so greasy that we felt bad for the rest of the afternoon. Same with Kaiserschmarn.

It's always about the people. We had a great waiter originally from Croatia. We had the fish which was really great, we liked it a lot. Then we had coffee and dessert. I really liked the environment. Before paying, ask for the bill in advance to see if it is already part of the tringeld bill we had credited there.

I ate here on both days of my stay in Füssen. The food is delicious, the portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, especially compared to the other restaurants in Hohenschwangau. The waitresses are very nice (some don't speak German).

Recommendation for this restaurant, from the excellent food to the friendliness of the waiters. At our request, they set up tables for a group of several people on the part of the terrace with a view of the castle. We thank them once again for that.

The Place Is very nice and close to the parking lot to pick up the shuttle to Neuschwanstein Castle. The boss Is very kind and explained us how to reach the shuttle. Unfortunately we found a waitress who pretened to be funny but was very rude especially when we asked an espresso and he brought a Cup for a cappuccino full of coffe....pretending was their espresso....when the table next to us had a real espresso....and he knocked on the table.

We ate at Kainz Restaurant just before visiting Neuschwanstein Castle. The server was very welcoming and the service was quick. Our dishes were beautifully presented and tasty.

Absolutely thrilled. Everyone who buys something at the snack bar 100m away has only themselves to blame. We sat on the terrace and were even asked when we entered whether we would prefer a view of the castle or sit in the sun. The waiter Berk understood his craft like no other. He was courteous, joked with us and still had an absolutely professional demeanor. The Kaiserschmarrn was to die for as was the chocolate soufflé. Despite ordering the small portion, there was absolutely enough quantity. Coffee price reasonable for this atmosphere. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely come back. Thank you for this positive experience 👍

I ordered Kaiserschmarrn and 1 drink. The food came very quickly before the drink. But not enjoyable for me. Very fatty and sweet. After my drink was empty, I waited 20 minutes to pay. The staff took the full plate into the kitchen without saying a word and came out with the bill. He pointed out to me that I could also tip with a card. I expressed my dissatisfaction and was not even asked why the full plate was returned. Unfortunately there was no response there either. I also didn't receive the ashtray that I asked for when ordering.

We were traveling privately in a small group and had the pleasure of visiting the Café Kainz restaurant on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, after it was closed for a while and has now reopened under new management. The changes are noticeable and we were pleasantly surprised. My schnitzel was deliciously prepared. The crispy breading and the tender meat quality convinced me. The team was friendly and competent. The waiter was attentive and made us feel comfortable. The rustic ambience in the inn is inviting. Dark wood, cozy corners and a quiet atmosphere create a pleasant environment. I would love to come back to try more delicacies.

The pizza sauce was homemade and really made a big difference in taste. Fries were average. But the meat in hamburger was made long time ago and frozen, no taste at all,tough as a shue sole,it ruined lunch experience totally. And they do not have Jegermaister??

There is a variety of menus, from traditional Bavarian dishes to pizza and hamburgers. As this place is a famous tourist destination, the price is not cheap, but it is worth stopping by if you are hungry after seeing Neuschwanstein Castle.

We had a late lunch of Weisswurstl, tomato soup and onion rings. Service was very quick and the food was good. And a decent value for a tourist place.

This is an Ok restaurant. I had a pork schnitzel and I have to say I was not impressed by it. I had eaten schnitzel in the US that tasted much better. Also, we came after lunch hours and for some reason they didn’t have enough staff. We waited for at least 20 min. after my husband called their attention, even though we were sitting inside.

관광지 물가는 비싸고, 식당은 딱히 맛없다는 인식을 바꿔준 곳입니다. 소시지 진짜 너무 맛있고, 슈니첼은 이렇게 맛있다면 1일 2 슈니첼도 가능합니다. 라즈베리 소스도 신선하고 맛있고, 얇~고 바삭한 튀김옷에 고기도 정말 부드럽습니다. 독일 여행하는 동안 잊지 못할 슈니첼 맛집입니다. (야외 테라스에서 맑은 날씨, 풍경과 함께해서 그럴 수도 있지만) 심지어 가격도 관광명소 고려하면 저렴한 편이라고 생각됩니다. 차만 안 가져왔으면 맥주도 같이 즐겼을 텐데... (논 알코올 맥주도 있습니다.) 노이슈반슈성과 호엔슈방가우성 다 보고 나서 점심은 이곳으로 추천합니다.

We had a late lunch here after hiking to and around the castle. The place is lovely and the outside area as a view to the castle. The food was very good, and very good portions. Service was great and the waitress was lovely and gave us a great recommendation for dessert as the soufle was so delicious! Good prices as well. Another plus, good clean toilet 👌 overall I definitely recommend if you are in the area, the typical dishes are great!

ノインシュバインシュタイン城散策の時にランチで訪問しました。ボリューム満点のロールキャベツでした。キャベツがとても硬くて中にはハンバーグが詰められていました。ポテトの団子が添えられていました。デザートはアイスクリームに生クリームがかかって美味しかったです。

Левей от ресторана парковка автобусов, права стоянка лошадей. Ветер дует несет запах лошадиного навоза. Рекомендую садиться внутри, не на террасе. Перечный стейк 2 звезды. Он изначально был замаринован в соли с добавлением уксуса, перечный соус это порошок с крахмалом разведенный водой.

11 Tage bestes Essen egal was von der Karte bestellt wurde, wir waren alle drei immer zufrieden. Sehr freundliches Personal, geduldig und hilfsbereit. Ich kann es jedem nur empfehlen, fühle mich selten wo anders so wohl, hier ist es einfach perfekt.

We went to the castle on a cold and very rainy day, and stopped by the restaurant for lunch. The food was simple and great quality we got spaghetti, pizza and onion rings. We enjoyed our meal and warmed up inside. The restaurant is very clean, and the service was great.. We recommend this restaurant for great lunch with kids and as a family

El precio que te esperas para la zona donde está (no es barato) pero es de lo mejor cerca de los castillos. La comida esta muy buena y tiene calidad, y el servicio rápido. La ensalada de camembert muy completa, la pasta sorprendentemente buena y las burguers con la carne bien.

Ci fermiamo per pranzo senza stare troppo a controllare il menu, tanto i ristornati in zona sono tutti uguali per proposte e tutti molto turistici. Non apprezzando particolarmente il cibo tipico bavarese tendenzialmente molto pesante e ricco di salse, chiediamo di poter avere il filetto che è presente a menu ma una semplice insalata (quindi privo dei contorni previsti che sarebbero stati patate in insalata e caruti conditi) mea culpa non indico la cottura della carne. Mi arriva un filetto super cotto (adoro la carne al sangue ma vabbè). L'insalatona è composta da un mix di lattuga, cetrioli, carote, pomodori e un po' di insalata di patate che hanno dovuto infilare lo stesso) Acqua e 2 caffè. Niente pane, niente alcolici, niente dolce, niente di niente. 97 euro... non ci potevo credere...praticamente ci hanno fatto pagare i due filetti (che peraltro erano di dimensioni normalissime, non superavano sicuramente i 180 - 200 g, come piatti interi e invece he portare l'insalata come sostituto dei contorni che non ci hanno dato, l'hanno messa in conto come fosse stato un piatto a parte... oltre 17 euro di sola insalata, per piatto??? ma state bene???? Per non questionare abbiamo pagato ma è una vergogna... Lo sconsiglio vivamente

Conveniently located, but the staff were less than kind. It was as if we were interrupting their day. There was only one other table that had 4 people at it so it is unclear as to why. We had some drinks (only have beer for alcohol) and the strudel was really good, but I would not go back.

ノイシュバンシュタイン城への入り口というかバスが到着する真ん前にあります。 これほど便利な場所も少ないでしょう。但し、ここから城まではかなりあります。 並んで何とかバスに乗れましたが、下から歩くと城に着いた頃にはもうへとへと。 でも、城に着いてからが大変。そこからハイキングが始まるくらいの過酷さです。 それは置いておいて、ここは明るい雰囲気で（ここに来るといつも思うのですが） つっても２回目ですが、本当に、この辺りでゆっくり滞在したいなと思いますね。 食事は魚でしたがJTBの手配だけあって可もなく不可もなくでした。

Den anderen Rezessionen kann ich in keinster Weise nachvollziehen? Das teuerste Gericht auf der Karte liegt gerade mal bei 16.90 € und im welchem Restaurant gibt es sowas ? Ich kenne keines! Kann es nur jedem weiter empfehlen und ich freue mich schon auf dem nächsten Besuch :-) großes Danke an die Betreiber,ihr macht einen tollen Job.

ツアーで訪れました。テーブルクロスも赤白のギンガムチェックで可愛い。パンも美味しかったです。大きなロールキャベツを食べま した。本当に大きくて食べきれなかったです。サラダも面白い形(葉)をしていて日本では見ないので目でも楽しめました。 私はメインのロールキャベツよりサイドのジャガイモの方が美味しかったです。

Perfect place to grab a nice lunch before the hike up to Neuschwanstein Castle. Warm and inviting, spacious and simple, excellent staff. But the beer, pretzel and weisswurst will have me dreaming for a long time. Thank you for making this day perfect!

Abbiamo pranzato in questo locale, che tra tutti quelli intorno ai castelli ci sembrava il più tipico ed effettivamente all'interno è molto carino, ma il personale è distratto, scortese, le porzioni sono scarse ed i prezzi eccessivi. Per di più nel nostro tavolo hanno fatto sedere altri turisti che non conoscevamo!!

Nach einer tollen Schloss führung wollten wir eigentlich lecker essen,aber es wurde zum Reinfall! Noch nie so schlimmes essen bekommen. Alles Fertigprodukte und null abgeschmeckt. Überteuert, voll die Touristen abzocke. Böse Blicke der Chefin bei der Reklamation. Nicht empfehlenswert!

Il locale è il tipico ristorante turistico che si trova difronte alla biglietteria del castello. La mia recensione si base non sul mangiare, perchè più o meno si mangiano sempre le stesse cose in Baviera, ma sul comportamento del cameriere.Per noi conosceva un po' di italiano, ma faceva finta di non conoscerlo.Modi scorretti di proporsi(qui è Germania non Italia),non ci è venuto incontro per niente per farci capire.Alla fine volevamo pagare (€ 50,70)con la carta e lui l'ha rifiutata,dicendo che era giorno di festa e le banche erano chiuse(essendo la somma modesta abbiamo pagato in contanti per non fare altre discussioni,sapendo benissimo che aveva detto una cosa assurda.Se andate a vedere il castello evitatelo assolutamente.

Zum Mittagessen mit zwei Kindern eingekehrt. Das 'Ambiente' ist rustikal. Das bestellte Essen kommt nach kurzer Zeit. Geordert haben wir Rindergulasch, Puffer mit Apfelmus, ein Käse Schinken Sandwich, zwei Cola und ein Wasser. Die Qualität ist Durchschnitt, mehr nicht. Das Gulasch war ok, die Reibekuchen sind nicht selbstgemacht und haben vor Fett getrieft. Insgesamt 50€. Beim Essen wurde für jeden hörbar eine Servicekraft zur Schecke gemacht. Für uns keine Empfehlung wert.

In general, not a big fan of Bavarian food, which is dominating on this rrstaurant's menu. It surprised and exceeded expectations, schnitzel with creamy mushroom sauce and potato noodles (spätzle).

L'accueil a été très correct. Le service rapide, souriant et efficace. La carte proposée était à base de plats locaux. Les assiettes étaient conséquentes et les mets savoureux. Un excellent repas de midi surtout après nos déboires au Schloßrestaurant du Neuschwanstein
