Went for lunch at this restaurant and tried the Veggie Burger. It was really tasty and I would definitely recommend to try it if visiting this restaurant.

The restaurant is located opposite the parking lot of Neuschwanstein Castle. After finishing your meal, you can just climb up the mountain to Neuschwanstein Castle for digestion. The portion is slightly too large for an adult woman, and the overall performance is good. 🍽Tomato soup The tomato flavor is very strong and the soup is also very rich. It is good to eat with bread or drink alone. 🍽Grilled chicken with French fries The French fries are very crispy and delicious. It is worth mentioning that pepper and ketchup are provided to go with it. I think it is very considerate😆. The fried chicken for the main meal is very large, basically a small whole chicken. The seasoning is not too salty and the chicken is not too spicy, but it will be a little greasy after eating. 🍽Chocolate Brownie The best meal is that the cake is on the dry side, but there are many small chocolate pieces. Just treat it as a snack after the main course, so don’t have high expectations.

I ordered a total of 39.9 euros, but the actual amount the waiter charged was 50 euros. He even charged me an additional tip of 3.5 euros on top of the 50 euros. Please make sure to check the amount you were charged again.

The staff was very friendly and entertaining. The restaurant is rustic and cozy. We felt comfortable here. The food was also delicious.

Please do not come to this restaurant. Worst one I have been to in my travels across Germany and Austria. First one that comes across as unethical. Check your bill carefully. Also will be pressured for tip aggressively by the man. Avoid! Food, price and service is ok. Location is great. So it’s a pity that they feel the need to do this.

I tasted the roasted whole chicken with French fries, tomato soup, and slices of thin-crust cheese cake. The roasted whole chicken was too much for one person to finish, but it was very warm when eaten hot. The soup was good, but the cake was not good. The service attitude was quite patient, but It seems that I haven't eaten anything, and there is a feeling of emptiness. The outside of the restaurant is very easy to take pictures, especially when it snows.

We really enjoyed this place! From the ambience to the food, everything was amazing. The menu isn’t large but you can still choose between traditional options like roasted pork or Wiener schnitzel and classics like burgers or tomato sauce pasta. We had cheese sausages, Wiener schnitzel and a mixed salad and all was delicious! The portions were large. The servers were kind and friendly, we really felt welcome. I highly recommend!

A beautiful old house built in 1932 now converted into a cozy, spacious restaurant, very good staff, good food, we enjoyed ourselves, must have black forest strawberry cake

Ask for the bill before paying because the waiter will add a 10% tip without asking your opinion. And when you ask him for details he tells you that it’s a government tax: it’s a lie! He refunded us the overpayment!

Let's put it this way, the fries were good. The rest to forget. The waiter, a self-proclaimed unfunny comedian who thinks he also has to sing, was more disruptive than serving. The question of whether you want the chicken breast with or without silicone is at such a low level that you are ashamed of yourself. Even the 13 year old teen at the table felt sorry for her. But anyone who thinks the lowest point has been reached is mistaken. The chicken breast was actually even worse than what the waiter said. Glued together meat product from the wholesale market. If we had just ordered the silicone version, it probably would have been less dry. But hey, the fries were really good. Hot and crispy.

Upon seeing us walk in, the male staff suddenly broke out in Japanese. I told him that we are not Japanese. He then proceeded to mock us and say “well are you from Brazil?” (clearly, we did not look Brazilian). Absolutely unacceptable behaviour. Have some respect and sensitivity - you are greeting and serving people from all around the world and you are tainting Germany’s image with your ignorance.

The payment is so obscure without any receipt given to me… Even so the owner/waiter dare to asked me for tip to it. Given reluctantly, but with total discontent over it! Later I discovered I was overcharged for the meal likely by 10% money for the bill alone. I do not mind paying for meal, but it should be informed to me clearly. That tainted totally my journey. This is a restaurant not recommended for visit!

Staff very friendly and attentive. Food tastes excellent. Our dog was also warmly welcomed inside (with a water bowl). Were here in the late afternoon.

We came there to eat some local sweets, and it works. Apfelstrudel with vanilla sauce was perfect, as well as local sliced pancakes. What was wrong? Horde of wasps around our table (I've killed 5 during half an our visit) and prices.

I recommend you stop here after visiting the castle. My girlfriend and I had lunch here, a plate of Bratwurst, a plate of white sausages and a plate of Obazta + 2 small beers, a large one and 2 coffees for the modest sum of €55 euros. Well deserved price both for the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. And obviously for the wonderful view that you can enjoy during your meal. Highly recommended

Do not let the convenient placing of this restaurant fool you. Far from being a tourist trap, this is a fantastic place to taste delicious German dishes (both main dishes and desserts) at a small price. The staff is attentive, efficient and nice, and after several days in Germany trying the Kaiserschmarrn (traditional sweet dessert) I can tell you this has been the best.

We had launch at Kainz after visiting the Neuschwanstein castle. The terrace gives a nice view of the castle, the food was ok but we were invaded by wasps (which is a common problem in the Bavarian region) but here there were more and we had to eat quickly so we could leave

Good service, nothing outstanding about it, but was harassed twice after not tipping. Why would I tip if there’s nothing outstanding about your service? Food was good though. Just unpleasant Italian guy server. He asked where I was from and he said in Canada they tip, so why don’t I tip here? I only tip if there’s outstanding service. This was just normal service, nothing outstanding…stop harassing us. The food was good, we were pleasant and we paid.

Avoid eating here. Lots of wasps and the male server was very rude.

Everything is delicious, perfect for Korean tastes. Burger is really good. There are a lot of bees on the terrace. You can eat while looking at the castle, so the atmosphere is nice.

When I was in Germany for about two weeks, I stopped by Füssen to see Neuschwanstein Castle. Although it is a tourist destination, there are not many restaurants, so I hesitated before going in. We ordered 5 burgers from a blond middle-aged woman as there were 5 of us, and asked for 2 of them without pickles, but the hamburgers we received were completely missing the tomatoes, bacon, fried egg, onions, etc. that should have been included. When I asked the staff about it, they didn't understand me because they didn't speak English, so they suddenly gave me a plate and told me to eat it on my own, leaving out what I couldn't eat. I had to remove everything, so they gave it to me, so I was wondering what I should take away from a hamburger that only had lettuce and meat.. When I talked to him again, he said he would cook a new dish, so I waited. I waited for almost an hour. Then the hamburger we received was a cheeseburger with only bread, meat and cheese. After inquiring again, we were able to eat the burgers after over an hour. Since we are not good at English, we did not use difficult English expressions. Still, she didn't quite understand. The woman who got my order wrong didn't even say a word of apology. I felt so bad that I just ate and paid and left, but a man who seemed to be the manager followed me and asked for a tip. Aren’t tips given as gratitude for good service? When I said there was no tip, the man said, “This is not your country, this is Germany!!” He shouted. I've been to many restaurants in Germany, but this is the worst restaurant I've ever had. Not even 1 star is worth it.

Very good value for money, clean, tidy and very tasty food. The waitresses were extremely courteous and the food came very quickly.

Great value for money, we've experienced something else in such a touristy region. The house was full to the last seat, and since it was raining the rush didn't get any smaller, but the service team didn't lose track and remained friendly. Food and drinks were at the table super quickly and everything was hot and delicious!

It's always about the people. We had a great waiter originally from Croatia. We had the fish which was really great, we liked it a lot. Then we had coffee and dessert. I really liked the environment. Before paying, ask for the bill in advance to see if it is already part of the tringeld bill we had credited there.

Nice atmosphere, good service. The food wasn't good at all. We had cheese spaetzle that was so greasy that we felt bad for the rest of the afternoon. Same with Kaiserschmarn.

The Place Is very nice and close to the parking lot to pick up the shuttle to Neuschwanstein Castle. The boss Is very kind and explained us how to reach the shuttle. Unfortunately we found a waitress who pretened to be funny but was very rude especially when we asked an espresso and he brought a Cup for a cappuccino full of coffe....pretending was their espresso....when the table next to us had a real espresso....and he knocked on the table.

We ate at Kainz Restaurant just before visiting Neuschwanstein Castle. The server was very welcoming and the service was quick. Our dishes were beautifully presented and tasty.

Absolutely thrilled. Everyone who buys something at the snack bar 100m away has only themselves to blame. We sat on the terrace and were even asked when we entered whether we would prefer a view of the castle or sit in the sun. The waiter Berk understood his craft like no other. He was courteous, joked with us and still had an absolutely professional demeanor. The Kaiserschmarrn was to die for as was the chocolate soufflé. Despite ordering the small portion, there was absolutely enough quantity. Coffee price reasonable for this atmosphere. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely come back. I ordered Kaiserschmarrn and 1 drink. The food came very quickly before the drink. But not enjoyable for me. Very fatty and sweet. After my drink was empty, I waited 20 minutes to pay. The staff took the full plate into the kitchen without saying a word and came out with the bill. He pointed out to me that I could also tip with a card. I expressed my dissatisfaction and was not even asked why the full plate was returned. Unfortunately there was no response there either. I also didn't receive the ashtray that I asked for when ordering.

We were traveling privately in a small group and had the pleasure of visiting the Café Kainz restaurant on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, after it was closed for a while and has now reopened under new management. The changes are noticeable and we were pleasantly surprised. My schnitzel was deliciously prepared. The crispy breading and the tender meat quality convinced me. The team was friendly and competent. The waiter was attentive and made us feel comfortable. The rustic ambience in the inn is inviting. Dark wood, cozy corners and a quiet atmosphere create a pleasant environment. I would love to come back to try more delicacies.
