Schlemmerhütte in Erlangen

I recently visited the Schlemmerhütte and was absolutely thrilled! The service was warm and attentive – you immediately feel welcome. I would particularly like to highlight the shoulder of pork with dumplings that I ordered: a true dream! The meat was tender as butter, perfectly seasoned, and the crust wonderfully crispy – just as you would expect. The dumplings were beautifully fluffy and absorbed the delicious sauce perfectly. You can tell that the cooking here is done with a lot of love and experience. If you're looking for top-quality Franconian cuisine, this is the place for you. I'll definitely be back – the next shoulder of pork is already waiting!

You call, and they tell you it'll take 20 minutes. Then you're already 5 minutes late to pick up (25 minutes after the order was placed), and then you have to wait another 15 minutes until the food is ready. In summary, calling ahead isn't worth it; you still have to wait there. The food is good, but the wait time is catastrophic!

Very impressed. From the outside, it looks like a snack bar, but everything is nice, fresh, and delicious. 😋 Ate the Jägerschnitzel (fresh mushrooms) there, hot and delicious with crispy fries for €10.90 — perfect place for large portions at a low price.

The food here is delicious, with daily specials. The many regulars are a testament to the quality of the food. I find it very dark inside, so I prefer to sit outside. Definitely recommended.

Can you even call this a snack bar? It's simply sensational what the friendly staff in the small kitchen are doing. All at absolutely fair prices. In addition to currywurst, we had meatloaf and a cordon bleu burger. We were absolutely thrilled.

We were very surprised and can highly recommend it. We were only driving past at lunchtime on a Saturday, expecting a currywurst, and I have to say, "it's amazing." We estimated about 50 dishes from A to Z. We placed our order (cordon bleu and a large mixed salad plate) as usual, and there were others there to order as well. However, within 15 minutes, three large tables had become storage areas, with about 70 people eating and waiting to be picked up. The food was picked up on time, and we received our food in the meantime. Perfect teamwork in the kitchen, well organized, and very, very friendly service; you wouldn't expect such a small restaurant in a snack bar. Our food was delicious, plentiful, and reasonably priced. We will happily recommend you and look forward to our next visit.

Unfortunately, you often have to wait a long time for your order. Even though I pre-ordered and arrived later, the food was still nowhere near ready. But the food is very tasty and the portions are sufficiently large.

Authentic Franconian cuisine in Erlangen at the highest level! Here you can get Franconian and German classics, some of which are worlds better than in many restaurants and taverns, and at an extremely fair price-performance ratio. Even after almost 10 years and countless orders (to be picked up), the Schlemmerhütte remains our first port of call when we need something nostalgic again, which will definitely never disappoint. Franconian classics such as the Schäuferla with dumplings, the roast pork or well-known ones such as goose breast or even the fish fillets with an extremely tasty remoulade and potato salad are particularly recommended. We've tried pretty much everything on the daily changing menu over the years and I couldn't say which dish wasn't a masterpiece of culinary art and taste. In addition, the service is always very friendly. For certain dishes it is worth making a reservation in advance and arranging a pick-up time to ensure that they are still available on the same day. A big recommendation from me and THE place to go in Erlangen for Franconian and German cuisine.

Ambience is terrible, it smells like a deep fryer. 1 star The service was crappy. Waiting time over 30 minutes and that for a snack? And then part of the order was forgotten. 1 star The food itself is almost inedible, downright disgusting. Seriously, the people who give this more than 2 stars should recalibrate their taste buds. The stuff here probably isn't even good for shitting because it comes out at the top. 1 star Never again!!!

Yesterday I ate goose breast with dumpling and red cabbage...just great! 01/28/2025: I now get something to eat from Ravi every Monday and Tuesday. Today we had pork fillet with hunter's sauce and croquettes for €15.90. It's just amazing what Ravi and his employees can conjure up in the small kitchen! As always, the taste is amazing 🔨 The portion was just right for my hunger! My respect for this snack!!!! Ravi and colleagues...keep it up! 👍👍 I'm already looking forward to next Monday and Tuesday

A quick snack there always tastes good. Priced well too. Sometimes you have to wait even though you called beforehand.

The “restaurant” makes the best savoy cabbage and garnet schnitzel! You have to see and experience this. Best around midday. But please not around 12 then the hut is full of people on their lunch break. I was very impressed.

Once again we had an excellent meal. It's always great to see what a well-rehearsed team is behind the counter and doesn't let anything bother them. You should (that's the only drawback) if you know it's busy because a lot has been ordered, have someone there to coordinate the people waiting. This is always a bit chaotic because people all stay at the ordering window and the others don't come to order. Otherwise, as I said, always great.

The best cabbage wraps are served on Wednesdays. It's best to pre-order and pick up straight away. Very tasty and well packaged to take away. Been coming here for years.

We once had carp. It's been a while. Were not there again either. Still questions? This is intended to be a very favorable three and a half star rating because I don't want to denigrate the efforts of the Schlemmerhütte team and especially because I only tried this one dish. We agreed it was one of the worst carp. Whatever the reason - old frying fat? Would have been worth one to one and a half stars. You could barely eat it, it wasn't enjoyable. Nothing gets away from us. A colleague recommended the Schlemmerhütte to me with the words: "They will conjure up something delicious for you!" Maybe the expectations were too high? I certainly won't talk anyone out of the popular Schlemmerhütte. However, I often went a little further north-west and got myself a freshly caught, very tasty fried carp. I expressly do not allow myself to make any judgments about other dishes in the range! And to the reviewer with the chicken pork schnitzel: OK, the meat inspection actually seems strange. However, chicken would be an upgrade to pork. So what?!

An excellent little snack bar that offers surprisingly good Franconian delicacies in addition to the usual snack dishes. From Schäuferla or roast pork, roulades to Christmas goose. Everything is available here to take away, or eat on site in the snack bar or in the outdoor seating area in front of it. I am ashamed to admit that I was prejudiced because the shop is run by a presumably Indian family. An Indian and Franconian specialties in a snack bar - can something like that work? YES, it does. The best Schäuferla far and wide, where many an inn has to hide behind it. The spicy currywurst is also bomb! Plus a good cold beer from the fridge next to the ordering counter... that's how it has to be!

Best food stall with almost star level. New daily specials every day. Schnitzel and Schäuberla are a must. Cabbage roll like with nuts.

Delicious food, we had schnitzel, ox cheeks and Schäufle. All very tasty. You can't tell from the Schlemmerhütte. Looks like a classic grease hatch, but far from it. Great team.

Excellent! I'm really excited that Chef Ravi and his team (as Indians) are showing the Franconians how good Franconian cuisine can actually be. There are always alternative dishes and a great, regularly changing daily selection... We often pick up something there to take home, but have also eaten there several times... a Excellent quality for excellent prices! By the way, just as additional information: in the Schäufele rating for Franconia, they were always in the top 3 and were recognized as one of the best in Franconia. Anyone who expects a pleasant atmosphere is unfortunately wrong. It's right on the street and the whole thing is basically a snack bar.

A little diamond in the rough. The little gourmet hut looks really shabby from the outside and inside. But the food is the complete opposite and simply great. We had Schäufele with Thuringian dumplings and savoy cabbage + half a liter of water for €17.90. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked delicious. Price performance great. Huge portion. Service quick and friendly. We didn't finish our portion and had the rest packed up, so there was an extra dollop of sauce.

Überragendes Essen am 2. Weihnachtstag. Preise auch völlig okay. Ambiente wie in einer Spielo, aber das ist okay, wenn man nur essen möchte. Es gibt 3-4 Tische zum Sitzen. Keine besonders lange Wartezeit trotz vieler Kunden. Von der Autobahn schnell zu erreichen. Top.

Wir hatten heute, am 1.Weihnachtsfeiertag 17 Essen bestellt. Die Wartezeit war trotz hohem Andrang kurz. Unsere Gäste waren von der Qualität und und von der Größe der Portionen sehr begeistert.

Heute wären wir enttäuscht mit essen, ob woll hat immer bis jetzt geschmeckt, 2x Kalbschnitzel, 2x Karpfen, 1x Schäufele mit Salat. Leider hat daß nicht so geschmeckt wie immer... Schade ums Geld...

Fränkische Küche, immer lecker 😋

Wir haben heute Cordon Bleu mit Kartoffelsalat, Putenschnitzel mit Kroketten und Blaukraut über Lieferando bestellt. Das Essen war bereits nach knapp 40 Minuten da und schmeckte absolut hervorragend! Die Panade vom Schnitzel und die Kroketten waren perfekt knusprig (kriegt kein anderer Lieferdienst hin den ich kenne) und das Blaukraut und der Kartoffelsalat superlecker (ich denke selbstgemacht). Insgesamt wurde das Essen in einem Zustand geliefert wie ich es sonst nur vom Restaurant vor Ort gewohnt bin. Absolute Empfehlung!

Alle Gerichte sind selbstgemacht! Auch der Kartoffelsalat und Stopfer. Große Auswahl. Wir holen uns öfters was wenn die Küche kalt bleibt. Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis

Vorort würde ich zwar nicht essen, da Plätze außen direkt an der Straße und innen Imbissbuden-Feeling, aber das fränkische Essen ist top zum Mitnehmen.

Günstiger Preis aber kompromisslose Qualität von Speisen! Richtig überrascht!

Würde das Essen eher im unteren Mittelfeld einordnen. Das mit 600gr angegebenen Schäufele hat gerade mal 420gr auf die Wage gebraucht (war so klein das ich es aus neugier gewogen habe). Die Soße war für mein Geschmack etwas zu salzig. Im großen und ganzen gibt es da deutlich bessere Alternativen. Kann die vielen positiven Beurteilungen des Essens absolut nicht nachvollziehen.

Wir haben zum Liefern bestellt, es war heiß, viel und lecker. Und schnell da (20minuten). Absolut empfehlenswert, gerne wieder. Wir hatten schnitzel mkt kroketten und salzkartoffeln und man muss nix ändern. Wirklich gut.

Ich hab zum Mitnehmen telefonisch bestellt, direkt bekommen und daheim einen perfekten Schäuferle mit drei Klösen und Soße gegessen. War sehr günstig für des was man bekommen hat. Das Häuschen ist recht klein aber da war sehr viel los. Das ist der Geheimtipp von Erlangen.

Da war ich aber überrascht damit vier Inder auf 3m² Küche so gute deutsche Gerichte kochen.

Das Schäufele war hervorragend. Es ist nach meiner Meinung das Beste in dieser Gegend. Dafür komme ich gerne aus Fürth.
