I can't recommend this restaurant. The whole point of a restaurant is to enjoy a good meal and leave your everyday life behind. Here, the son treats you like you're in a slaughterhouse; it's impossible to relax. The food also varies in taste.

A very chic and modern restaurant. We were invited here for a christening, and the service was very attentive from the start. Our 4-year-old son was already complaining because he was hungry, which the owner noticed immediately. My son had never had his schnitzel and fries so quickly before ;-) My 8-month-old daughter was also warmly welcomed. The food was delicious! We will definitely be back 😀

We celebrated our baptism here and were very pleased. The staff were very friendly, even with the children who were with us. The children's food arrived very quickly after ordering, which was great, as they were already very hungry. But what we also liked was that there were several of us, and we all got our food one after the other; no one had to wait, and we were all able to enjoy a nice meal together. The food was very good. We will definitely come back.

2 stars because the service was fast and friendly. Regarding the food, I can only say that it was poorly prepared. Even the best Michelin-starred chef could only serve a turkey schnitzel 3mm thick dry (I, as a kitchen, can't accept that from a supplier). The chanterelle sauce was very thin and unfortunately lacking in flavor. The menu stated that the side dish was duchess potatoes, but they turned out to be croquettes. The red wine I ordered was served chilled (with lemon and orange as sangria, it's definitely a hit this time of year, but not for €5.20). The price/performance ratio is unfortunately not right here. The train station in Bruck was better.

Check out the more recent reviews. Most of the 5-star ratings are from the past, just like the menu posted online. The food is so-so, the owner seems annoyed, and it's too expensive for the mediocre taste. The cliché German or Franconian cuisine is heartily underscored by good pop music 😅

Unfortunately, the staff, including the owner, were visibly annoyed by our children at a large family celebration and made this very clear through their facial expressions and gestures. They were clearly bothered by the children. The younger children were behaving normally, lively, and not particularly disruptive. An older child was actually reprimanded for making a mess. Very unprofessional. On the other hand, the food was rather mediocre. We won't be coming back.

5 stars – Highly recommended! The food at the Grünen Au is simply fantastic! A superbly diverse and delicious selection – there's something for everyone here, and everything is fresh and prepared with love. Whether hearty classics or light dishes, it's all perfect. Particularly noteworthy: There are no long waits, which isn't always the case, especially in busy restaurants. The service is friendly, attentive, and well-organized. The Palmer family makes the whole experience special – you immediately feel that they put their heart and soul into their work. Their catering service is also absolutely top-notch: professional, reliable, and a true culinary delight! A place that we'll gladly recommend and visit again and again. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality – we'll definitely be back!

Too good to go is a total rip-off at this place. I don't understand how 2 small schnitzels with a mini portion of potato salad should have an equivalent value of €19... For the amount and that Taste (potato salad too sweet, breading on the edge very dark and pale on the inside) of what is on offer is even the €9.50 too much...

The food was very tasty, but there was very little asparagus for an asparagus schnitzel...there were 2 sticks in total.

Price/performance still has room for improvement. Were there this evening, cordon bleu with fried potatoes was good, pasta with seafood for 17 euros was clearly too small, salad with turkey strips that were too dry as a filler with mix pickles was too sour and unimaginative. There's cheaper and better somewhere else.

Currywurst Kalt and the Oberhammer were the 21 fries that were included. Never again .

We really liked the restaurant. It is fairly newly renovated and modernly furnished. We were served quickly (probably owner) and placed our order. My liver dumpling soup and our two Schäufele were quickly at the table, beautifully prepared, but unfortunately only lukewarm. The taste was good.

The food didn't taste particularly good. Had schnitzel, fried potatoes and salad and you can get the same thing for less money elsewhere.

So far, Spätzle and Schäufele have both been very tasty, and the second time around we ordered schnitzel with the mushroom sauce for the first time, unfortunately none of it was ours. The fries arrived half-cool and the sauce was very lumpy and unfortunately the taste wasn't ours, which was a shame for the money.

Very, very tasty and fresh Franconian cuisine! It's a little more expensive last year, but still extremely tasty!

For us, a stay in the “Au” has become a visit to friends. An all-round package to feel good. ♥️

I can't understand the bad reviews... I ordered a carp fillet there for the first time via Lieferando. The food was handed over to me by a very friendly delivery driver... the portions are large and you fill up straight away... everything tasted very, very tasty... and I will order there again or go there to eat. 5 out of 5.

Rating Applies to Lieferando orders! The Schäufele was completely okay in terms of taste and price, but the so-called "hot Marcel" for €8 was an absolute disappointment and, to be honest, an impertinence. You get a tiny brownie that is obviously a cheap industrial product - probably purchased from a wholesaler for less than €1 each. It came with no cream, no ice cream, no extras of any kind and wasn't even served warm, but cold. For €8 I expected something high quality or at least fresh, but instead I was presented with a loveless dessert that in no way justifies the price.

I had dinner in Grüne Au on a Sunday. Because I didn't make a reservation, I was looked at strangely even though there were hardly any guests there. The owner showed me the place where we could sit so indifferently. The greeting of the guests looks different... I'm very disappointed, I also ordered often. I will avoid that in the future.

We come from Munich and near Würzburg, and the day before we were looking for a restaurant "in the middle" that was conveniently located and served Franconian food, and we hit the jackpot here on Sunday. Schnitzel, Schäufele, roulades - all very, very tasty. Six weeks ago (11/24) the small restaurant was completely renovated and looks almost like a cozy restaurant in the south or Austria. We also had super-friendly service, the senior manager welcomed us very warmly. An all-round successful lunch. Thanks!

Excellent food and service. The Cordon Bleu was exceptional. The fries potatoes that come with it were so good with the crispy bacon pieces on top. And the side salad was so very tasty. The dressing was perfect. I'd highly recommend this restaurant for its food and friendly service!

As far as dumplings and cabbage are concerned, the green Au is really great, but the duck I ordered was gray and, for whatever reason, tasted watery, the same with the schäuferla a few weeks before. I can't recommend the meat there, the rest is good. The older gentleman who does the delivery/service can smile a little more, or at least not speak in a pissed off tone. My male colleague is suddenly totally friendly and without any derogatory comments. He can still learn customer service.

We were there spontaneously for lunch in the middle of the week. Food, service and ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. We will come again…

Food mediocre Staff very unfriendly

I don't have any experience with the "green Au" myself, but I have often ordered lunch for my parents. They have always been very satisfied with the quality and taste and delivery has always taken place at the agreed time.

Coincidentally drove past towards the city for something to eat, stopped here and was able to go. Friendly staff. Ordered a 0.0 Bitburg, it tasted a bit typical, but unfortunately it turned out to be well out of date......the waiter said sorry and I ordered a normal glass of draft beer, which tasted fine. Ordered the veal schnitzel on the advice of the owner, which was a nice size, unfortunately a bit on the tough side. The baked potatoes tasted great! Received 2 bags of mayo, the first of which looked strange, also turned out to be expired (the second was fine). When the owner heard something about this, he unfortunately denied it. A bit of a strange situation all in all. By the way, a nice and attractively decorated restaurant.

With a reservation we got a place in the next room where utensils for outside were stored. Sticky table, wrong drinks, cutlery was available upon request when the food was already there. Cordon bleu with cold potatoes, duck cut against the grain and rock hard, lemon/orange on the plate. Reasonable prices for that... you have to think about it.

Great restaurant, fastest kitchen in Erlangen, still tastes fresh and the portions are never too small. Side salad is great there!

We were here on a Saturday evening. It is strongly recommended to reserve! We got a place in the beer garden. Unfortunately there is a bit of a lack of ambience here. Towards the evening you could hardly see anything. Small lights on the tables would have been nice here. There was only one waiter there, but he had the situation completely under control. The food came after about 10 minutes. The portions are large and nicely prepared. The green Au Cordon Bleu is highly recommended. The Obazda doesn't taste good. The fried potatoes are perfectly fried. That doesn't happen often!

Today we ordered a schnitzel with fries and a side salad and was more than disappointed. The schnitzel had an unpleasant aftertaste that made me suspect that the quality of the meat wasn't the best. The fries were soggy and completely unseasoned, which made the overall meal bland and unappetizing. The side salad was okay, but definitely nothing special to make up for the rest of the meal. For 19 euros I expected a lot more and I don't understand the positive reviews at all. The absolute lowest point: I had gastrointestinal problems after eating. I felt really bad for 3 days!!!! I hadn't eaten anything else that day! I definitely won't order anything here again.

A huge shout out to the super nice driver who just delivered us the super delicious!! Food that we had ordered through Lieferando was delivered. When I was paying, one note got stuck to the other, which I had also overlooked. The gentleman was super honest and even gave me the overlooked note back!! This is something you rarely see in today's society...

Super delicious food - highly recommended! There are parking spaces on site but really not many. But you can park relatively easily on the street or in the area behind it.

There were 7 of us and we had various dishes of excellent quality, from sea bream to schnitzel and roulade. If requested, the sea bream was even filleted at the table. The service was extremely attentive and accommodating. The ambience is pleasant. If you love tasty food and come from the area, you should definitely visit the restaurant. I will definitely stop by again. What should also not go unmentioned is that the area is conveniently slightly divided, which not only pleasantly reduces the noise level but also creates a more private atmosphere, whether for business or private purposes.

Very nice and lovingly furnished restaurant, although a bit dusty at times. Food came very quickly, but unfortunately the taste and quality were in no way appropriate for the ambience. As starters we had a decent liver dumpling soup, which didn't contain any spices or herbs, and a cheap goat's cheese that was supposed to be "grilled" according to the menu, but was actually ice cold. Unfortunately, a similar picture occurs in the main aisles. Spaetzle with wild mushroom cream sauce and cordon bleu with fried potatoes were very carelessly prepared and tasted disappointing. Unfortunately not a recommendation.

First of all, the staff is very friendly and accommodating! Almost all of the dishes tasted great and were prepared in a modern way! Unfortunately, I had to notice one or two defects in terms of craftsmanship. 1. The silver skin of a pork fillet should be removed, you couldn't chew it! 2. When making a pepper cream sauce, the peppercorns should be removed from the liquid in a sieve beforehand, otherwise the whole sauce will have a sour vinegar taste! 3. Not every dish has to be served with lots of spring onion rings, as these spoil the taste experience! So now to the biggest point of criticism, which in my opinion is an absolute NO-GO: TOILETS! These are modern and new, but DIRTY! We were there shortly after 5:00 p.m. (opening) and the women's toilets were clogged with used toilet paper, the toilet seats were full of excrement, I'd rather spare any further details...absolutely disgusting! Men's toilet also dirty and dirty! Dear Green AU team, please pay more attention to cleanliness, your beautiful restaurant doesn't need anything like that!! All in all, I would come again, provided something changes a bit :-)

The food is rather below average. Roulade dry, schnitzel ok... but the fries were catastrophic. The portions are very small for Franconian cuisine. It's better to pay a euro more and then be full.

Not recommendable. We had ordered food to pick up. When we wanted to pick it up, it turned out that everything had gone wrong when we took orders over the phone that day and no portions of food had been cooked. Several other guests felt the same way as we did. When we asked about ways to salvage the situation (e.g. waiting a while until the food was re-prepared, etc.), we were even insulted. Such behavior is completely unacceptable in our eyes. Conclusion: if you want to go home hungry without food, you can order from Grüne Au. If you would rather eat something, you should order somewhere else. Unfortunately I have to give it one star. In our case, 0 stars would be deserved.

We spontaneously went to eat here because we were/are passing through. 4 minutes from the highway and the “detour” is definitely worth it. Top food with great quality. The service was also very great. We would come here again and I can only recommend it to you.

Family restaurant with typical homemade dishes, very nice service of the owner and great food. I recommend visiting Rizhodnd. Prices of main dishes 20-30 euros. Seasonal specialties now, for example, from asparagus. I had steak with salad and broth with a large dumpling - exquisite and huge portions.

Are super disappointed. Schnitzel, fried potatoes and cordon bleu were okay, but nothing special. The potato salad smelled extremely sour, so we didn't try it. Unfortunately we cannot say the same for the side salad and mixed salad with turkey strips. The salad in both was really old and hadn't even been washed properly. You could still feel the sand and dirt from the field between your teeth. Plus, the hot turkey strips were just slapped onto the salad, which meant everything else in the salad was warm and mushy. I can tell you, this was the most disgusting salad I have ever eaten.

It was the first time I ordered food here (delivery) and it was also the last time. I had the roulade with red cabbage and dumpling. The dumpling had an indescribably unpleasant consistency, not sticky as you would expect, but dry and floury, the red cabbage tasted like sauerkraut and the roulade is/was so dry that I couldn't get it down without an extra sip of water (despite the sauce!). My roommate didn't have it any better, but I don't even want to start or continue with him because no one wants to read that much anyway. I finally made some bread for myself and I would also recommend it to you

Have to say this was one of the best meals I've had in Germany, original, as far as I can can say was the Grunen Au Corden Blu, made with obsta cheese, my wife and daughter tried it and both loved it, I will definitely be back just for this dish, and with the delivery service will order it again, two thumps up!!!

Franconian cuisine with class and charm. Very nicely decorated restaurant. We were a group and had the opportunity to try a lot. Beef tartare. Cordon Bleu. Schnitzel. Sauerbraten. Schäufele. Zander. All good, nicely served and good portions. Friendly service. Owners value regionality. Meat from Büchenbach and Stegaurach, vegetables from the Nuremberg Knoblauchsland. There are no regional beers on the menu. Instead, spirits from Haas. If you want to eat good Franconian food in a pleasant atmosphere, this is the place for you.

Super friendly and courteous service and great ambience! But then why only 1 star? So many people seem to think exactly the opposite!?! In a nutshell, I've only ever eaten something so untasty! Can you explain this in more detail? Yes I can! I've been following the restaurant on Facebook for over 3 years. At some point it became clear that there was more sauce somewhere... You knew that, it bothered you and you still went? Yes! Why? 12/26, not many alternatives and I wanted to try it! So, did you have an appetizer? Yes, beef broth with pancakes. And? Nobody wanted food. Why? The first beef broth of hundreds that could have tasted like vegetable broth. Why “can”? It was so salty that you couldn't smell any other taste. Why? Maybe she had a stitch and maybe that should be covered up. But the pancakes were homemade? Probably not. And the main courses? Not so the burner until personally felt anersch interpretation. That sounds like a bad idea!!! Yes I know! but that's only my personal opinion. Details? Ok, let's get started. Cheese spaetzle for 14 euros. An adult wouldn't be full, the side salad (probably bought, cut salad from the bag) for 3 euros is top notch, unfortunately inedible because there was too much vinegar (essence), otherwise fresh and crunchy, spaetzle probably from the bag and evenly over 5cm long and without real cheese, it's more like in the canteen, dry and some kind of sauce. Even if you might think that I'm looking for a fly in the ointment, I didn't find it there, but I did find several in these cheese spaetzle. Then we also had so-called Bread dumplings with mushroom sauce. A dream for anyone who doesn't know or has no idea what bread dumplings are. I don't remember whether the mushrooms said "forest" or not, it definitely wasn't a German forest (perhaps). But it's not that bad either, there are a lot of edible flowers on the plate but sauce is always draped around it with the espresso spoon, it's not that much, perfect for everyone who likes dry food. Ok, that's it? No, not quite yet. What else? "I don't know" How do you not know? No, that's the name of the children's schnitzel with fries for 9 euros without salad. But was it good? Yes, of course, as good as any other schnitzel from a discount store. Oh.... But the rest was good? No. What else? I had a "pink fried" saddle of venison with caramelized tomatoes and spaetzle (ordered from the bag). And? Spaetzle seems to come out of the bag there, just deal with it! The rest was OK?!? No! How? There were no tomatoes! Mimimi! Don't act like that, it only costs 35 euros and you're whining about tomatoes? It wasn't just the tomatoes! But you already knew that there is no sauce!?! Yes! And? It wasn't a saddle of venison! Huh? It was a piece of fatty roast meat, dark gray! Nope! But! Maybe expecting too much for 35 euros? I don't know! For me, saddle of venison is something like that that can be found internally under this search term. Ah, OK, you probably said too much!!! Allegedly!

Dort über Uber eats Essen bestellt. Die Lieferung war schnell und sehr freundlich. Das Essen: ungenießbar. Ich hatte einen harten Fremdköper, der wie ein Insekt aussieht, in meinem Essen. Die Pommes: super labbrig. Leider ein absoluter Reinfall!

Modern eingerichtetes Restaurant mit klassischen Gerichten. Das Essen war gut, aber wird den Preisen nicht gerecht. Die Pommes und Käsespätzle waren zu salzig. Beim Jägerschnitzel könnten man besser Pilze erwarten und nicht nur Champignons. Die Rinderrouladen waren etwas zu trocken. Der Service ist freundlich, aber etwas unaufmerksam. Wenn dann die Bestellung aufgenommen oder gebracht werden, geht es etwas hektisch zu. Die Atmosphäre wirkt gehoben, alles ist sauber und modern, aber trotzdem warm.

Mein Kumpel Rene Burschet und ich waren gestern das erste mal in der grünen Au zum Essen und als ich die Restaurant Eingangstür geöffnet hatte sah ich gleich das dieses Restaurant kein 0815 Restaurant ist! Ich hatte 3 Stunden vorher telefonisch einen Tisch reserviert für 2 Personen und als ich das kurz sagte wurde unser Tisch gründlich abgewischt und Wir wurden zu Platz gebeten! Die Karte wurde überreicht und nach einiger Zeit wurde dann die Bestellung aufgenommen! Die Untersetzer für die Getränkegläser sind aus Stoff und keine Bierdeckel und unser Essen hat nicht ewig lang gedauert bis es serviert wurde! Die 2 großen Schnitzel Wiener Art die mir serviert wurden waren nicht zu lange in der Pfanne und waren sehr gut und die große Portion Kartoffelsalat schmeckte auf sehr gut und der Beilagensalat war durch das Dressing auch wunderbar, mein Kumpel Rene Burschet hatte das gleiche Schnitzel bestellt nur mit Waldpilzsoße dazu und Er bekam es mit pommes frites serviert! An die Geschäftsführung der grünen Au und die Mitarbeiter der grünen Au, Wir haben waren sehr gerne Ihre Gäste und werden wieder in Ihrem Restaurant zum Essen kommen, weil ich auch den Sessel in dem ich saß wirklich sehr bequem fand!

Lieferung schnell, Essen warm. Leider aber ungenießbar, da das Cordon Bleu mehr vor fett getrieft hat, als Käse (steinhart) enthalten war. Fleisch sehr sehnig. Bratkartoffeln ok aber auch sehr fettig. Die Leberknödel Suppe war früher noch mit frischem Gemüse und selbstgemachten Leberknödeln - jetzt schmeckt sie wie eine fade Dosensuppe. Ich gebe dem Restaurant immer wieder eine Chance, aber die letzten Male waren immer wieder eine Enttäuschung.

Haben heute Schäuferle und Rouladen bestellt. Ich habe mich total auf meine Gröberle gefreut, was auch der Grund war, warum ich mir das ausgesucht habe. Leider kein einziges Gröberle geploppt und knusprig. Waren steinhart. Die Rouladen waren ohne Geschmack. Das Sauerkraut hat wie aus der Dose geschmeckt. Waren bisher immer sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen gewesen, aber nach der Erfahrung heute, werden wir erstmal nichts mehr da bestellen. Leider.

Update 11/23: Essen hat rein gar nichts mehr mit Franken zu tun und wird leider auch immer schlechter. Schnitzel grottenschlecht von der Panade her, Pommes latschig, bin nun endgültig raus.🤷 Was sind das für Semmelknödel Taler?? Das waren leider Frikadellen...geht nicht !! Falsches Essen geliefert....Sauerbraten Soße war nix! Viel zu überteuert für fränkisches essen mit eher durchschnittlicher Qualität.

Wir waren schon mehrmals dort essen. Jedoch eine Gansbrust für 29,- € anzubieten, ja ist der Preis mittlerweile, dann muss sie aber perfekt sein. Diese war total trocken und nichts besonderes. Dann ein gemischtes Eis bestehend aus 2 Kugeln " Allerweltseis", Vanille und Erdbeere, ohne ein Drumherum für 6,- € ist in meinen Augen Wucher. Nachdem wir leider erst zum Ende des Essens hin die Gansbrust moniert haben, wurde uns dann zumindest ein Eis von 2 bestellten nachgelassen. Jedoch für ein Essen zu 3 mit jeweils nur 1 Getränk der Erwachsenen, das Kind hatte 2 Getränke, und dann wie geschrieben 2x Eis und einen Schnaps dann bei 94,- € zu landen, das ist einfach zu viel. Nachdem wir einen älteren Gutschein noch hatten, war dies eigentlich der Anlass, diesen einzulösen. Ja, es steht im " Kleingedruckten" darauf, dass dieser nur 1 Jahr gültig ist. Aber rechtlich darf ein Gutschein seinen Wert erst nach 3 Jahren verlieren. Somit wurde diser nicht mehr akzeptiert, immerhin ein Wert von 25,- €. Zusammenfassend muss ich sagen, dass ich sehr enttäuscht war und bin und daher erst mal einen " großen Bogen" um die Grüne Au machen werde.

Ich habe über Lieferando bestellt das Essen an sich Ging relativ. Aber ich finde für so einen Preis sind viel zu wenige Pommes bei dem Schnitzel !

Nicht empfehlenswert! Preis-Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht. Für einen kleinen Salat 14 Euro bezahlt und dann kam alles aus der Dose. Sehr schade! Die Kellner/der Service aber bemüht. Wir werden nicht mehr dort essen.
