Es war schon eine sehr angenehme Begrüßung, dann ein fantastisches Essen, der Service erste Sahne und dazu noch Lifemusik und durchweg eine freundliche Atmosphäre. Achja...nicht vergessen Stichpimpulibockforcelorum bestellen 😉!!

Beim Essen ist noch Luft nach oben(Gewürze). Ansonsten ist der Service richtig gut.

Wer wirklich gute Fisch in authentischem Ambienten auf der alten Fähre Spiekeroog möchte muss hier hin. Sehr netter Inhaber der jeden Wunsch bemüht ist zu erfüllen! Wunderschön, dass dieses Schiff als Restaurant umgebaut wurde mit malerischem Ausbilck auf den Museumshafen in der Leeraner Altstadt. Preislich nicht günstig, aber definitiv angemessen. In jedem Fall vorher reservieren - einfach so kommen, kann schwierig werden. In jedem Fall empfehlenswert!

Sehr schönes Restaurant, welches den besonderen Flair hat. Im Leeraner Hafen in einem Schiff zu sitzen sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Wenn ich auswärtige Gäste einlade, sind sie immer begeistert. Das Essen ist Super. Immer gerne wieder.

Das Ambiente ist unschlagbar. Der Salon des ehemaligen Fahrgastschiffes ist super gemütlich. Der Service durch den Inhaber persönlich immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Essen war bisher immer auf gleichbleibend gutem Niveau, richtig lecker. An ausgewählten Tagen spielt jemand live auf dem Klavier Begleitmusik, habe ich persönlich woanders noch nie erlebt, super charmant. Auf Spiekeroog 3 sollte man mal gewesen sein, auch gern öfter.

Essen war gut Service sehr freudlich

Wer ein uriges Restaurant mit maritimer Atmosphäre sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Eine ehemalige Inselfähre aus Spiekeroog im Hafen von Leer mit Postkartenausblick auf Rathaus und Waage: schon etwas ganz Besonderes. Unser Essen war lecker, die Bedienung ausgesprochen höflich, die sanfte Klaviermusik (live) sehr stimmungsvoll.

Nach einem freundlichen Empfang wurden wir durch das extravagante Lokal zu unserem Platz begleitet. Der Service war freundlich und amüsant. Unsere bestellten Speisen wurden geschmackvoll und zeitnah serviert. Eine Vorabreservierung ist empfehlenswert.

Ein perfektes kulinarisches Erlebnis! Die Vorspeise mit dem aromatischen, gerösteten Käse und dem Brot war unglaublich verlockend. Auch die Kürbissuppe mit ihren vielen Gewürzen war ein Genuss! Der Hauptgang mit Heilbutt, Kartoffeln und Sahne war eine perfekte Kombination, und das Hähnchen in der Tajine war einfach himmlisch! Die leicht knusprige Kruste und das zarte, saftige Fleisch ließen es sich wie im siebten Himmel fühlen! Das Dessert, ein Schokoladenbrownie mit Eis und Pflaumen, war erfrischend lecker und rundete das wunderbare Essen perfekt ab. Der Inhaber war sehr freundlich, und man spürte seine Leidenschaft für gutes Essen! Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch!

Als Gruppe mit 17 Personen einfach super.Leckeres Essen,super Bedienung,Unterhaltung am Klavier,Schnaps mit kaum auszusprechenden Namen und das auf einem alten Schiff.Besser geht es nicht.

Das beste war das salat dressing. Guter service lecker und gemütlich mit live klavier-music. Guter service sehr gern wieder.

Wir hatten unsere Firmenweihnachtsfeier dort verbracht. Die Auswahl an möglichen Essen war gering, was aber für Frische spricht. Das Essen war lecker, nur die Preise leicht gesalzen was eventuell an der Erhaltung des Schiffes liegt. Der Service war super, empfehle gerne weiter.

Wir hatten dort einen wunderschönen Abend mit unseren Freunden! Das Essen war vorzüglich, das Abiente mit dezenter Livemusik im Hintergrund und die freundliche authentische Bewirtung waren mal wieder unvergleichlichbar gut! Dieses Restaurant ist einfach empfehlenswert.

Das Ambiente ist natürlich "anders". Doch zu dem worauf es ankommt, waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Das Essen fanden wir nicht gut. Wenn man sich überlegt, wo (räumlich auf welch kleinem Platz) all die Gerichte "hergestellt" werden, kann man sich auch denken, warum dem so zumindest an diesem Tag war.

Ich bin schon lange nicht mehr von einem Restaurantbesuch so begeistert gewesen, wie von der Bewirtung im Spiekeroog III. Hier passte einfach alles. Neben dem überragenden Essen gab es ein herrliches Ambiente mit Klavierbegleitung und einem Service bei dem man die Liebe zur Berufung noch gemerkt hat. Sechs Sterne wären angemessen. Es war nicht das erste Mal und nicht das letzte Mal, das ich mich hier bewirten lassen werde. Viele weitere Besuche in dem Restaurant haben meinen Meinung nur bestärkt. Eine sehr gute Leistung! Sowohl Küche als auch Service!

The delicate flavors, accompanied by a subtle hint of spice, are carefully selected. The aroma is irresistible: sweet and fruity and slightly spicy. It tastes of warmth, closeness, and a hint of distance all at once. A comforting moment that also inspires – a perfect starter. The main courses also set new standards. Last week, I had the Moroccan tagine with dates and spiced couscous on braised vegetables with roasted corn-fed chicken breast. My friend opted for spaghetti with shrimp in a Mediterranean cream sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, spring onions, parsley, and Parmesan cheese. On my second visit, I opted for the "Funky Falafel Bowl" with three kinds of falafel, spiced couscous, edamame, cabbage, carrot, lettuce, and tahini dressing. What can I say... I'm thrilled. High-quality ingredients are carefully prepared so that each component blends into a harmonious whole. The flavors are well-thought-out: profound, yet light, elegant without being overwhelming. The sauces are rich, but never overpowering; the side dishes perfectly complement the main course. The portion sizes are ideally chosen, so each course leaves an impression without causing fatigue. The crowning finale is the dessert (vanilla ice cream with caramelized pumpkin seeds and pumpkin seed oil), a successful symbiosis of freshness and creaminess, with a delicate, lingering flavor. Overall, the Spiekeroog III ship restaurant is a successful symbiosis of perfect food and impressive ambiance. The first-class service shines with professionalism, warmth, and humor. During our visit to Leer, we had dinner on this boat. It was very unique and cozy, with super-friendly service and delicious food. The icing on the cake was that we were able to enjoy some beautiful live piano music.

My fiancée and I discovered the ship's restaurant two years ago and love it. The food is delicious; we've tried various items on the menu and regularly invited friends over, giving us a good overview of the food selection. Both we and our friends are thrilled. I can personally recommend the Kutter Scholle, which I find myself tempted to try again and again. The ship has a great atmosphere; even when the house is full, the limited seating means it never gets too loud or you feel cramped. The live piano music is truly beautiful and subtle, the view of the old town on the other side of the river is magnificent, and all around, it's simply beautiful. The real highlight of the restaurant, however, is the manager/waiter. A truly nice gentleman who makes the whole experience a special one. He guides you through the evening with a friendly and humorous demeanor, fulfilling countless special requests whenever possible, and offering warm advice if you're stuck for something. We've heard a few anecdotes and stories and always look forward to a visit there.

I would give it 10 stars if I could. I have a terrible fear of ships, and to overcome this fear, I went out to eat with friends. The owner noticed on the dock that I wasn't well-off and brought me a herbal liqueur. He also took care of my thin skin throughout the evening. What also helped was that the food was extremely delicious... I would venture back on this magical ship just for dessert.

Yesterday, we spontaneously booked two seats for dinner. We had East Frisian pomegranate soup, fruity and spicy curry soup, Finkenwerder-style plaice, and a fruity and spicy curry with two kinds of fish fillet and king prawn. Everything was perfect and delicious. The accompaniment was atmospheric piano music by Chunchieh Huang. A great end to the weekend! We'd love to go back!

The cuisine is first-class: fresh, creative, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. Every course was a delight. The service was relaxed, attentive, and with North German charm – just the right blend of professionalism and warmth. A real highlight was the live piano music, which perfectly complemented the maritime ambiance. The gentle sounds in the background made the stay even more atmospheric. The location on the ship is exceptional in itself – cozy, stylish, and full of character. In summary: Delicious food, great music, a great team, and a place with a real feel-good factor. We'll definitely be back!

The ship's restaurant is located across from the museum harbor. It's only a five-minute walk from the RV parking area. The cellar is very nice, and the food was good. With a beautiful view. We had nothing to complain about.

The Spiekeroog III was once the smallest and oldest ferry between the North Sea island of Spiekeroog and Neuharlingersiel before being sold in 2013 and lovingly converted into a restaurant. Since opening in July 2015, it has been a real insider tip. The atmosphere on board is utterly quaint and authentic – you can feel the history of the old ship in every corner. Anyone who loves maritime charm will immediately feel at home here. The food was excellent – ​​I had Labskaus, a North German classic, prepared here with love and flavor. Just the right portion, beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced. A must-try the Stichpimpulibockforcelorum! Just for the epic, entertaining explanations from the staff. The service is exceptional: warm, attentive, and with genuine humor. You immediately notice that you're not just a guest here, but a welcome guest. On the piano, ChunChieh provided a pleasant musical background with his unobtrusive bar music... which we enjoyed listening to after dinner with a nice glass of wine. As regular guests for many years, we particularly appreciate the consistently high quality in all areas. We are already looking forward to the next visit...

Am Klavier hat ChunChieh mit seiner unaufdringlichen Barmusik für einen angenehmen musikalischen Background gesorgt... wechem wir nach dem Essen bei einem schönen Glas Wein auch gerne weiter lauschten. Als langjährige Stammgäste schätzen wir besonders die konstant hohe Qualität in allen Bereichen. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch...

An absolute highlight with a special atmosphere and exceptional cuisine with extremely loving hospitality

Had an appointment with a friend for dinner on the Spiekeroog. My friend chose plaice. Plaice and lettuce were okay. The potatoes, however, tasted as if they had been left over from lunch and had just been "pulled" through hot water in the evening. I myself ordered the tagine with chicken. The dish was hard to enjoy. The couscous, completely over-seasoned, was also “dust dry.” When I complained that the meat on the bone was still bloody, they explained to me that it had to be that way because it was cooked sous-vide at 58° and therefore OK!!!! What a disgrace! They didn't want to charge me Alster water as "compensation", which I politely declined. The professional service was rated as positive.

We were in Leer in December specifically to spend an evening in the restaurant because we had already heard a lot of good things and it was more than worth it. Not only did we really like the Christmas market and the city, but of course the ship's restaurant is also a MUST! Great atmosphere, great food and the best service. We were on Spiekeroog 3 on New Year's Eve. We received an excellent and super nice welcome. The ambience was very nice. The food was excellent. There is no better way to pamper and entertain your guests.

Four of us went there for dinner on New Year's Eve and didn't know what to expect. We were completely thrilled from the welcome to the farewell. Everyone ordered something different. The service was simply great and the food not only looked really good, it was overall a treat. We can only recommend this restaurant and class it as an insider tip. All four of us agreed and we don't know the last time we were so completely satisfied. 2 couples from Cologne and Marklohe.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Very good and beautiful live music from the piano. 1A food and a damn friendly waiter/boss. And the portions are perfectly filling, not too much, not too little. It's a must when in Leer.

We were particularly impressed by the ambience: eating on the ship, surrounded by the unique atmosphere and listening to live piano music - that was really something special. Unser erstes Erlebnis mit der ostfriesischen Küche als Saarländer, war ein voller Erfolg, und wir kommen sicher wieder!

We went to this restaurant for the first time because of an invitation. The atmosphere on the ship is rustic and cozy, and the service is quite good. However, when it comes to the food, I can't give a good rating. I had the crab soup for €9.50, which was a thin, fatty broth in which there were no less than four (!!!) crabs - I know East Frisian crab soup differently. My wife had the curry soup which was extremely spicy. The menu does not mention the exceptional spiciness and when my wife mentioned the spiciness while clearing away the soup, her bowl of soup was cleared away without comment. With Labskaus, which we had as the main course, we somehow missed the meat in the dish. The dish was almost pink, indicating that a lot of Rote Bette was used. You could also find the potatoes, but you couldn't really taste the cured brisket or beef that was supposed to be in the Labskaus and actually gave the dish a slightly darker color. In addition, both portions were not really hot, but rather lukewarm. Since we were invited, I refrained from complaining about both the soups and the Labskaus. The dishes of the other four people in our group (meat dishes) were ok. What continued to bother us was the lack of demand for more drinks during the 2.5 hours of our stay and the way we were reminded that we had to vacate our seats for the next guests at 8 p.m. All in all average - nothing more and nothing less.

So if humanity, attentiveness and friendliness are very important somewhere, then it is certainly on the Spiekeroog III. I have rarely felt so warmly looked after. Staff, food, ambience excellent!!! Don't be put off by the exterior of this ship. Everything is fine inside. A piano player entertains discreetly in the background with quiet music. Just great.
