We had a wonderful evening at the Havnbar and felt completely at home. A cozy atmosphere with a view of the harbor. The food was exquisite. Very high quality, homemade, and truly delicious. The selection of food and drinks was excellent. The service staff was very friendly and accommodating. The value for money was excellent.

Thrilled. Great location, top service, and superb quality

We chose this restaurant because of the great reviews and decided to visit while on a one-day trip for a date. Unfortunately, the experience turned out very disappointing and completely ruined the mood of the evening. We had booked a table in advance and asked for a private spot, but were seated at a large table for eight with strangers, even though nearby there were free tables for two. When we politely asked about it, the waitress just smiled and said like “This is your table, what’s wrong with it?” without offering to change it, even though the restaurant was half-empty. It honestly felt like the staff didn’t care, and as a young couple we even felt a bit looked down on, as if our request wasn’t taken seriously. Frustrated, we moved outside ourselves since no one from the staff helped us find a proper table. Then we waited a very long time just to be given menus. Later, we were told they didn’t serve any beef dishes or steaks that evening, which was disappointing since those were the meals we specifically came for after reading the reviews. It would be helpful if the restaurant updated their website with accurate information so people don’t make the trip for nothing. Service was slow and inattentive. Guests who arrived later were served food before us, while we sat with melting ice in our drinks, and no one offered refills. When our pasta finally arrived (after about 1 hour), no cutlery or napkins were provided — we had to ask for them separately. The food itself was tasty, but the overall experience was frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone coming from another city or planning a romantic evening — you risk being disappointed and having your date ruined.

The Havnbar is a great restaurant on the Leeraner Nesse. The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. The staff is friendly and attentive to their guests. The 5* rating is well deserved. Unfortunately, the restaurateur should definitely take a look at the outside of his restaurant. The location on the water is fantastic and offers a lot of potential. However, the tables are unfortunately not clean and not invitingly set. There are no inviting parasols to sit under on hot days or in light rain. Furthermore, the pavement in front of the restaurant is very unkempt, and the only small flowerbed is overgrown with weeds. @Havnbar team: If you maintain and spruce up the outdoor area, it could become one of the best dining destinations in the city.

We went to the Havnbar this evening. Booking an appointment didn't work (it was my phone). We still got a table until 8:00 PM. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, the atmosphere was lovely, the staff was friendly, the service was good, and the quality of the food and wine was very good. Only the mussels were a bit tasteless.

We went there by chance while visiting the city and saw that this restaurant was well-reviewed. We went in at 12:10 p.m. and were offered a table. The menu wasn't brought out until 5 minutes later, even though we were the only customers. The waiters weren't in a hurry. We ordered fish & chips and a burger. The fish was very good, the burger was okay. However, the potatoes were covered in a layer of salt. It was impossible to eat them. During the meal, the waiter didn't come to ask us if everything was okay or not. At the end of the meal, we commented that the potatoes were too salty, and the waiter acted as if he hadn't waited for anything. To summarize, the meal was good, but too salty. The waiter didn't seem to want to do well or succeed. It was as if he didn't care at all.

Our food was terrific, the service was friendly, and the interior looks beautiful. Outside, they could certainly improve the exterior appearance with umbrellas or something. We didn't see or overlook the "Havnbar" sign.

We visited the "Havnbar" on a Monday at lunchtime. The ambiance is very nice, with modern and chic decor, and the large glass fronts offer a fantastic view directly onto Leer's harbor. Although a separate menu is offered at lunchtime, we were able to choose a few starters from the evening menu upon request. All of the dishes we ordered were delicious, and the portions were generous for a lunchtime meal. The smashburger with two patties and fries (€14) was truly excellent! The only downside was the service was very sparse, and only in the most desperate cases did we get a smile. There's still some room for improvement. Nevertheless, a definite recommendation!

We went there for the first time today. The food was delicious, seemed very high quality, and above all, truly homemade. There's still a bit of room for improvement for my personal taste. The mashed potatoes were tasty, but not quite my favorite consistency, and the chicken could have been seasoned a bit more, but it was really good. The interior and location are fantastic. The service was perfect. Friendly and professional. Truly great. Or as my mother said, "We've finally found a restaurant for us in Leer." =)

Overall amazing food, at lunch you are spending 14€ for an amazing meal and a big portion. I am there nearly every day for lunch and was never disappointed. In the evenings it is a very cozy and special atmosphere. The food is excellent and whatever you order will come out top notch and extremely delicious. The staff members are extremely polite and the service is immaculate. You are always welcomed warmly.

Formidable location by the water, there are some very nice seats, the service is very friendly, but sometimes a bit overwhelmed when it's busy, but the food... It's OK, but it's far from what it claims to be "fine dining", i.e. really good food, and can therefore be rated as a bit overpriced. But if you accept that and want to satisfy your hunger and simply spend a nice evening in a great place, you won't be making a mistake. 3-4 points from me.

We were at the Havnbar in Leer and absolutely thrilled! The smashed burger was super juicy and tasty, the sea bass cooked perfectly - crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The service was also great: friendly, attentive and quick. A great combination of good food, relaxed atmosphere and professional service. We'll definitely be back!

I really liked this restaurant! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The staff was very nice and polite. I recommend trying ‘’Cordon Blue’’ was my favorite! The place feels warm and comfortable. I will visit again soon!

The atmosphere and location of the Havnbar are unbeatable. The food is of good quality and nicely prepared, but in my opinion the prices are not justified for all dishes. The drinks are also very expensive. You then pay for the ambience, but that's not a bad thing if the rest is good. Service is good, staff very friendly and accommodating. Actually a solid 4 stars for me. If it hadn't been for this event. Suddenly a "band" consisting of 4 people comes into the restaurant. They played a few songs, which is actually nice. But then running from table to table to collect tips was really rude and brazen. And then there's a certain level of unfriendliness if you refuse to pay. A lot of people felt visibly disturbed by this, it's not possible. If this "band" is part of the weekend program, it would probably be my first and last visit to the Havnbar.

Fresh cuisine with good ideas. The octopus was a little too well done, but everything else was convincing with its taste and quality. The restaurant strives to use seasonal vegetables. The offerings of the day, mussels and sole, were delicious and generously portioned. The staff was very attentive and always made sure that no one was left high and dry.

I went to the Havnbar for the first time today. They opened in the summer of 2023 but somehow the restaurant passed me by... It is located directly on the Leda at the harbor with a wonderful view of the river and the old town of Leeran. The ambience and furnishings are super nice and the staff is super friendly. The food was really fantastic. As a starter I had prawns in a very spicy garlic broth. With two slices of toasted, delicious bread. For the main course I had grilled octopus on wild broccoli and mashed potatoes. I've eaten a lot of octopus but this was some of the best I've had. At €14 for the starter and €26 for the main course, the prices are already in the upper segment. With this quality, however, the price-performance ratio is super fair. I think the drinks alone are too expensive. A small water for €4 and a glass of white wine for €9 was a bit too high for me. But all in all it fits perfectly. I have a new favorite restaurant in Leer and will definitely come back. Update 12/27/24: I was there for the second time today and was thrilled again. As a starter I had Parmigiania, a small casserole made from eggplant, mozzarella, parmesan and tomato sauce. Extremely delicious. And the main course was a tuna steak. It only saw the fire briefly as you would expect and was rare. There was also delicious wild broccoli and unusually shaped fries. The starter came to €12 and the tuna came to €33. Completely justified for the quality. All in all, another successful evening.

Great restaurant. Right on the water in Leeraner Hafen. And in the immediate vicinity of the pedestrian zone and old town. The food was great. The chef and everyone involved in the kitchen can do something. We'll go there again.

Very friendly staff and very tasty food.

HAVNBAR is more than a bar. It is a great restaurant with great quality and a great menu. A little away from the zone, hustle and bustle and old town, but still wonderfully located, a cozy and excellent restaurant welcomes you here. The service is attentive and relaxed at the same time, the prices are completely justified and the wonderful operators (thanks Jalmaz!) are open to all guests. All dishes are also very attractively prepared. The route over the Nesse Bridge is worth it!

The HAVNBAR's tasteful furnishings create an atmosphere that is both modern and cozy. From the first second we felt comfortable and invited to enjoy the evening. But the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. The Wagyu steak we ordered was not only tender and juicy, but a real treat. Every bite was a treat for the senses. The quality and preparation of the food was truly outstanding and exceeded our expectations. Also the wine you recommended was a perfect complement to our meal. Wir waren als Gruppe am Samstag vor Ort. Das Ambiente ist unfassbar gut. Haben uns super wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war einfach hervorragend. Haben lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen wie hier. Die Servicekräfte haben auch ein großes Lob verdient. So nette Leute haben wir selten gesehen. Alles im allem, war es ein super toller Abend für uns. Immer wieder gerne !

insgesamt ist die Hafenbar fünf Sterne wert. Das Essen ist einfach gigantisch. Ich habe dem Service etwas abgezogen, weil der etwas Lachs ist aber es passt zum libanesische arabischen Touch, den die Hafenbar besitzt. Ambiente war etwas eng, aber das lag daran, wo ich gesessen habe. Es gibt auch geräumiger Möglichkeiten, sich hinzusetzen. Alles in allem ist das Restaurant fünf Sterne wert

Nettes Personal allerdings in eher Strassenkleidung arbeitend Die Speisekarte überschaubar Bei den Tagesangeboten fehlte die Preisauszeichnung Es wurde uns Brot gereicht aber man hat vergessen Das dazugehörige Salz und Öl zu bringen Die Börger allerdings waren sehr schmackhaft Wir hätten gerne den Chef zum Abschluss gesprochen Dieser hat sich leider verleugnen lassen obwohl das Restaurant nicht gut besucht war und die Essen schon alle raus waren Für ein neu eröffnetes Restaurant ein schlechtes Image.
