The Schäuferla (a kind of sauerkraut dish) was very good. The rest of the tapas dishes were okay. The service was very poor. We were there at a quiet time. The waitress was unfriendly, unable to laugh, and they charged incorrectly. One tapas dish was billed as a regular portion, which unfortunately wasn't noticed until the following day. When paying, the waitress didn't read out the dishes again, but simply read out the amount. Afterward, we received a bill in small print. It's a shame that the service has deteriorated compared to 2023, even though it was less busy.

As a group of 50 people (for a company outing), we enjoyed a beer tasting on the first floor after a city tour and a delicious meal. Part of the group stayed longer for a few drinks (gin and tonic, Aperol, beer, wine). Waiter Dirk looked after us very friendly and personable throughout the evening. We couldn't have felt more at home. Thank you so much! 😀

We visited Scheiners am Dom with a large group and can highly recommend it. Even the pre-arrangement process was straightforward and friendly – ​​reservations, coordination, everything was perfectly organized. We received a warm welcome, and the food arrived promptly and at the same time – something you can't take for granted with a larger group. The cuisine is typically Franconian, down-to-earth, and truly excellent. Whether it's roast, Schäuferla (a kind of pork shoulder), or salad – everything is fresh, hot, and perfectly flavorful. The service was attentive, friendly, and quick, without being intrusive. A particularly nice touch: the cozy courtyard, where you can sit in the heart of the old town yet still have a bit of peace and quiet. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable stop – perfect for refueling after a city tour or excursion in Bamberg and then moving on in a good mood. We'd love to come back! 🍽️🍺

The location is great! After visiting the cathedral, the New Town Hall, and the Rose Garden, you can relax here and take a break! It's very comfortable to sit outside when the weather is nice. 🌟 Recommended: SCHEINERS BIERPROBE 5.9€ This comes with four 0.1L beers, including Bamberg's famous Rauchbier. The small size is just right, and you don't have to worry about getting used to the smoky flavor. 🌟 Dessert: WARMER APFELSTRUDEL 6.9€ This warm apple pie is perfect on a cold day. The custard and cream on the side are also delicious.

We went to the restaurant. Fast service, great atmosphere, good beer selection with many regional specialties, and excellent Franconian cuisine. Very popular.

Unfortunately in the middle of the sandy road only accessible on foot parking in the parking garage not far to walk you can eat very well here

Unfortunately, our visit to Scheiners was a disappointment. Two dishes were really not good at all, lacking in flavor. This applies to the spinach dumplings from the standard menu and the papardelle in pumpkin cream with feta from the daily special. The latter were papardelle swimming in a very thin, watery sauce, lacking in flavor or creaminess, with a few crumbs of feta on top. With salt and pepper, it was edible, but far from enjoyable and, unfortunately, quite expensive at €14.90. The service was fast and friendly, but unfortunately, they never asked if the food was tasty or if everything was okay, as one would expect. Our conclusion: We don't recommend vegetarian dishes.

We were a large group (47 people) at Scheiners, made a reservation, and also pre-ordered our food. The service was very friendly, the food was prepared, and truly delicious :) The value for money was good, and we all felt very comfortable there :) Thanks again for the great lunch!

The location is very good and can be combined with a city tour. The hygiene standards left much to be desired. The restrooms were not clean, everything was dirty, and there was a strong odor. Dirty spots were also clearly visible in the walkway past the buffet.

We came here for dinner on a Wednesday around 1:15 p.m. with a hiking group (18 people). Our advance online reservation worked perfectly. A positive and prompt response gave us peace of mind. The service staff was extremely flexible, prompt, and friendly. The food was consistently of good quality and served fairly quickly. We rate the value for money as good for this restaurant in such a tourist hotspot. We will definitely be back.

It's in Bamberg, Sandkerba. If you don't know what that is, like me, google it. It would be better. 🤣 So, I asked for a table inside as a single person. It was 4 p.m. and it was packed outside. And I was lucky; I got a quiet spot. A super-friendly waiter, great goulash (even a smaller portion), and a rustic atmosphere. Why complain when there's nothing to complain about? Full marks.

We loved the Gasthof. We had the daily special, which was pork knuckle, and the specialty, which was a mixed grilled meat dish for two. Derek served us very well and gave us lots of information. The portions were good. There were five of us in the family, and we ate with three dishes.

Reviews deserved - through rudeness!!! The cracklings were pure FAT. When asked, "How did it taste?" the honest answer was, "Unfortunately, it was pure FAT." The service was then extremely rude, despite a turnover of €350 at the table. On top of that, we booked a table and weren't informed that we'd be sitting inside in beautiful weather...

We had the knuckle of pork and dumplings with mushroom sauce. The service was excellent; the guys really went above and beyond, as it was very busy. The beer was delicious, and the knuckle was a real big one. The knuckle was served with sauerkraut and potato dumplings with gravy. Taste-wise, it was a 3+ to 2-. Overall, I recommend it as it offers good value for money.

The Schäuferla was very dry, the sauce too thin and the Gulasch was mild and tasteless. In addition, we did not feel very welcomed.

The restaurant has a good location, but the food is unfortunately only average. While you might like things to be quick, the food arrives at your table five minutes after ordering, which is saying something. It's okay, but not what you really want.

Great beers to choose from and a fantastic selection of food, a bit upscale in keeping with the old town, but still affordable. Very nice seating area, both outside and at the bar, as well as in the indoor garden. I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel from the pan with fries. The fries here are made from potatoes with the skin on. They taste delicious. The schnitzel is simply exceptionally thin and well breaded, just as it should be, even if it is only Wiener Style. A small salad is not included, but can be ordered separately. It was my fault that I missed it.

The dumplings were watery, crumbly, and bland. The mushroom sauce resembled wallpaper paste.

We spontaneously decided to have lunch at this restaurant and absolutely did not regret it. As soon as we sat down, we were given the menu and ordered the house beer. It tasted excellent. When the drinks arrived, we ordered the food, which was also excellent (the best knuckle of pork I've had in a long time) and arrived very quickly. We then stayed for a few more drinks, which were brought promptly by our exceptionally attentive waitress. The combination of location, quality, price, and service couldn't be better.

Disappointing! A friendly welcome and seating. Then nothing. The staff had important business to discuss at the bar, and we waited over 15 minutes to order. The curry vegetables were completely overcooked, the goulash was tough, and the sauce was too thick. A touristy place.

The food (Obazda and beef goulash) was excellent, the beer was delicious, of course, and overall everything was fantastic. The service was particularly special for us: We were served in the beer garden by a young man with glasses who was quick, courteous, funny, and simply fantastic. We were there with a baby, and he made everything possible. We've rarely been served so nicely – thank you for that!

We didn't stay, we visited the Bamberg Cathedral and had a traditional lunch, fast service, good prices. The restaurant is down by the Cathedral, before the climb, it's a steep climb up to the Cathedral

Unterhalb vom Dom befindet sich das Lokal. Im Aussenbereich vor dem Haus waren die Tische schön dekoriert und der Service war sehr freundlich. Achtung - die Portionen sind sehr groß!!!! Unser Gericht gab es auch in „klein“ - einfach fragen. (Empfehlung für die Damen) Hinter dem Haus gibt es noch einen kleinen Biergarten, im Sommer ein schönes kühles Plätzchen. Die Nudeln waren selbstgemachte und frisch, das wurde uns mit einer feinen Bärlauch Sauce serviert - sehr fein. Können das Lokal empfehlen!

I rarely write reviews, but I can only confirm the previous bad reviews. This applies to both the service and the cuisine. If you enter a restaurant for lunch at 11:30 a.m., you should be made aware that the kitchen doesn't start until 12 p.m. and don't place your order as soon as you arrive without comment. Then you wait 45 minutes for roasted dumplings and get a pile of completely soggy dumplings without a hint of roasted flavor. If you complain, you wait another 20 minutes, only to be told when you pay that a discount is not possible, after all, I would still have received the food you complained about... Without words!!! I decided not to have a coffee to compensate - I didn't feel like waiting another half hour... (joking)
