A charming Thai restaurant with a wide variety of dishes, lovely interior table decorations, and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the food arrived quite late and was partly lukewarm.

The food was really excellent. Very authentic and tastefully seasoned.

Perfect lunch with friendly owners and very fair prices. I'll be back more than once!

I've been to Koch Yut several times now – and it's a real highlight every time! For me, this is absolutely the best Thai restaurant in Bamberg. From the outside, the restaurant looks rather unassuming, but inside, you'll find a lovingly designed, cozy atmosphere that immediately puts you at home. The food is simply outstanding throughout: fresh, authentic, aromatic, and prepared with love. I especially recommend the spicy squid dish no. 89 – a must for anyone who likes something a little hotter! But all the other dishes I've tried so far have also been absolutely delicious. The service is warm, attentive, and leaves nothing to be desired. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely spot on. In short: If you love Thai food or are looking for something new, you shouldn't miss Koch Yut. A clear recommendation from me – 5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We've driven past several times and were really looking forward to the food. Contrary to our expectations, we were unfortunately disappointed: The duck was tough and dry, and the fried noodles were unfortunately overcooked and greasy. The prices are also a bit higher than usual, so we were expecting more overall. Perhaps it was a bad day in the kitchen or the staff—a shame, because we were really looking forward to it. On the positive side, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the friendly staff somewhat soften the impression, but unfortunately, the food doesn't make up for it. Honestly, everyone deserves a second chance, but in this case, we'd rather go elsewhere.

About me: I'm a chef and spent a long time in Southeast Asia. My girlfriend is from Isan. I don't expect 100% Thai cuisine in Germany. The problem is, the ingredients are fresh. But Kochyut's taste is authentic. Until now, I've only had similarly good Thai food in big cities. Hence, five stars. Also for the service. What spoils the ambiance for me personally is a picture of King Maha Vajiralongkorn. Despots are generally unappealing.

Koch Yut is my absolute favorite restaurant for authentic Thai cuisine in Bamberg. The food here isn't just "European-Thai" – it's truly authentic! What's especially great: There's a separate Thai menu with dishes you'd find in Thailand. They also serve fresh Thai mango with sticky rice – a dream – and even a young coconut drink. Everything is fresh, cooked with love, and tastes simply amazing. If you love authentic Thai cuisine, you should definitely try Koch Jut. Highly recommended!

I can't understand the positive reviews. We ordered takeout today. The duck in the fried noodles was hard, dry, overcooked, and inedible. Almost black. The dishes tasted bland. The prices are also a bit higher. We were expecting something different. Too bad, it was the first and last time!

Quite authentic Thai by European standards. I found the food good, but not exceptional. I sat down outside right away and was served quickly. Everything arrived promptly, not too early and not too late: soup, main course, and dessert. I paid around €35 ​​for everything, including a drink.

Die Damen hier waren sehr freundlich und man wurde auch sehr schnell bedient. Auch das Essen kam sehr zügig. Hatte hier eine Tom Kha Gai Suppe die mir sehr geschmeckt hatte aber überhaupt nicht scharf war. Als Hauptspeise wurde Rindfleisch "Nüa Grathem" mit Knoblauch kredenzt. Der geröstet Knoblauch war genial, der Rest in Ordnung. Zum Nachtisch gebackene Banane mit Honig, liebevoll dargelegt und auch in Ordnung. Es ist hier im Freien recht sporadisch eingerichtet, drinnen selber war ich nicht. Finde ihn als recht authentischen Thai für Europa, und natürlich kein Vergleich zu Thailand

The staff was very friendly and "curious". Very good food, we recommend the In volti Primavera, very good but it would have been better if they had been more tasty. The Pad Thai was very good but too sweet. The Papaya Salad was good but not as spicy as we expected.

For me the best Thai in Bamberg. I could eat it every day. The portions are generous and rice is added if there isn't enough. The facilities would need a few cosmetic repairs, but that can safely be overlooked 😉

The operators are Thais and there is authentic, real Thai food. If you wish, you can also get it originally hot like in Thailand. Everything tastes very good.

Who would have thought that I would get authentic Thai cuisine with my wife in Bamberg. Thank you for that. Even the papay salad was as it should be and my wife (northern Thailand) has a big grin on her face. If you like Thai food, you should definitely eat here, nothing has been Germanized

The food is fantastic - especially the papaya salad is like in Thailand and the laab is a traditional Thai dish - divine. The atmosphere inside is really nice - all wood, very stylishly furnished. In the summer, the summer garden is also good, quiet and pleasantly laid out at the back, but the decoration could be worked on. Parking is also easy. Good lunch - recommendation here Ped Bamberg - duck + 🥜 oh yes and you can bring a dog.

We like to eat locally here and pick up something from time to time. Very friendly service and a large selection of delicious Thai food.

I've ordered takeaway from this restaurant a few times now and yesterday I actually ate there. - Takeaway: The takeaway food was always well packaged, but you could pay attention to less plastic - Staff: The staff was friendly and averagely attentive when I ate there, but I also experienced strange service reactions to my order. I had the feeling that the service was surprised that someone was ordering food (?) - as if they had been taken aback 😅 but they were friendly nonetheless. - Ambiance: The decoration and music in the restaurant is pleasant, chic and underlines the Thai flair - but I find the counter area on the left far too crowded. What I didn't find so nice was that business (tax returns or something similar) was being done at a table in the restaurant. This should be done in a separate room. - Esssn: The food always arrived quickly and tasted very tasty. The portions have always been quite large - you get a lot for the price, as the prices are quite high. It's still a bit too expensive, I think. - Conclusion: If you want to eat comfortably and deliciously in a small, cute restaurant, don't have too high demands on the staff and management of the restaurant and don't have to/don't want to pay too much attention to the prices - you're in good hands with Koch Yut. - My orders: I had the number 91: Gung Grathem and a pot of jasmine tea for a total of €21. To take away I have had so far: No. 5: Wantan Soup, No. 10: Giaw Thot & No. 33: Gäng Kari Gai.

War hier zusammen mit einem Freund und seiner Frau. Sehr authentische thailändische Küche. Das Restaurant ist nicht Schickimicki, sondern bodenständig. Einfache Einrichtung, aber dafür sehr leckere und originale thailändischen Gerichte. Sehr gerne wieder. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Located out of Bamberg. Easy to reach by car, with a reserved parking in the front. The atmosphere was very quiet, with the inside part of the restourant well kept. Tables are very particular and nice. The service was fast and the waitress very kind. Food was very delicious and aboundant. Prices are normal. With 25€ per person (including drinks) you eat a lot and well. Very recommended!

I went for lunch today. Ate soup and a menu with duck. Both spicy. It was delicious. The prices were reasonable. The service was very good and friendly. I will definitely come back one evening with my wife and friends. I visit my in-laws and my brother-in-law here in Bamberg every 3 months.

I stopped here to get Pad Thai for dinner. I waited less than 5 minutes and it was freshly prepared. Absolutely recommended! Very very very tasty, only the lime was missing 😜 The outdoor area behind the house is really inviting. I'd love to come back.

Service was nice, but neglected to ask if we would like any more drinks. Ambience: we sat outside with a view of the parking lot or the kitchen. Well... I can't judge many flies outdoors, indoors and sanitary. Menu looks incredibly extensive. However, you could shorten this enormously if you simply sorted by vegetables/sauces and listed the types of meat or tofu below to choose from. I think the prices are pretty reasonable! I won't be coming back because overall I think it's average at best.

Were here this afternoon. Service was very friendly, drinks and food came relatively quickly. Indoor ambience = a matter of taste, as the outdoor area = 4*. At the end, the service was a bit sloppy, but perhaps it was intentional that you get up to pay. About food: First of all...I like to eat, often and spicy at the top end of the scale, but this made my hat go off!!! I ordered a chicken dish with dark sauce (spiciness level 4* out of 6* chilies pictured) with Peking soup for a very fair price as a lunch dish. The Peking soup was *very* intense and tasty (suspicion: warmed up?), unfortunately I could only taste the main course to a limited extent due to its spiciness, but it was ok. Just because I just tried some of the Pad Thai I took away, I got 5 stars for the food - it was TOP, not every restaurant in Thailand does it so well! Conclusion: ATTENTION! If you go big and choose 6/6 chili peppers, you should have a stomach protection tablet ready beforehand...

From the outside it looks more like a snack bar. Very reduced comfort inside. The selection of dishes looks a lot at first, but if you look closely you can see that it's always the same, just with different types of meat. My starter for 6.90 euros: 3 pale chicken wings with sauce from the supermarket. That's too expensive, I even find it dubious. My main course No. 32: 6 thin slices of chicken breast in a gray sauce (I know green curry differently), quite salty. The taste is very expandable and far from authentic. Service staff nice but not present. Since I didn't like it, I skipped dessert.

Tried several dishes, tasted quite good. For me, the rice noodle salad was rather medium because it wasn't seasoned enough. The real drawback for me was the portion size, which was too small for the price. But worth a try if you don't know it yet!

Frechheit, sich Thailänder zu nennen. Dieses Essen schmeckt überhaupt nicht nach Thai und überhaupt nicht gut. Wir waren schon sehr oft in Thailand beziehungsweise haben wir schon oft thailändisch gegessen, aber das geht überhaupt nicht. Null Geschmack und dafür teure Preise verlangen. Der Papaya Salat war wie ein Gemüsesalat ohne Geschmack, genauso wie das restliche Essen. Ich kann dieses Restaurant absolut nicht empfehlen. Für ein Gericht, teilweise 17,50 € verlangen das schmeckt wie beim billig Chinesen um die Ecke.

Leckere Thai-Küche, freundliches Personal.

Essen ist sehr lecker. Hatte Ente süß sauer meine Frau Hähnchen in Erdnussoße. Als Vorspeise Frühlingsrollen. Sind beide mehr als satt geworden. Preis ist normal wie wo anders auch. Bedienung auch sehr nett. Lokal und Toiletten sauber und schön gemacht. Daumen hoch.

Schneller Service, freundliches Personal, Speisen sehr gut egal ob Fisch oder Ente es war sehr gut. Negativ nur, für Gehbehinderte schwieg da keine Rampe am Eingang und wenig Platz im Restaurant zum bewegen. Doch sonst ein gutes Restaurant.

Essen war super und außergewöhnlich scharf.

Angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Preise für Verzehr sind allerdings relativ hoch.

Das Essen hier ist wirklich sehr, sehr lecker, Personal sehr nett und auf Wünsche werden ebenso eingegangen. Bestes Thailändisches Restaurant in Bamberg meiner Meinung nach!

Die eher improvisierte Art, dass man mittags z.B. gefühlt in ein Familienessen platzt (Besitzer beim Essen mit Thai-TV auf dem Laptop) und alles nicht so typisch „deutsch“ ist sowie der nicht einladende und etwas dreckige Eingang, das stört mich null. Aber der Preis für ein bisschen Gemüse (vegetarisch) in Erdnusssoße mit einer überschaubaren Portion Reis für 12,90€ zum Mitnehmen, da stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, die Currysauce ist wirklich sehr lecker. Bisschen wenig Fleisch in Relation zum Rest, aber alles in allem, kann man da gut essen und das Ambiente ist auch stimmig.

the menu is absolutely huge and there is so much dishes to choose from. the one waiter/worker was very friendly and welcoming. i ordered the green curry and papaya salad, both were very good. we also had satay which was not bad but it wasn’t exactly like the one in thailand. we came on a weekday so it was very easy to get a table. i do not recommend sitting outside, as there is thousands of flies outside and it is quite disturbing. however this is not really a problem as there is a lot of seating inside and the interior is quite cozy!
