Hotel Lieb in Bamberg

A hotel from the 80s. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay there! The rooms aren't cleaned properly, and the breakfast is terrible!

We only made it to the notice board at the beer garden, the prices are too expensive for me personally

Hotel Lieb is a pleasant little hotel, quietly located yet close to the center of Bamberg. The breweries are quickly accessible by bike via bike paths along the Regnitz River or through a park (I recommend Klosterbräu). The rooms are tidy, and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is very plentiful and delicious. A large parking lot, which also offers plenty of space for cars with bike trailers, is located directly next to the hotel. Bicycles can be locked in a shed overnight. Unfortunately, there is no electrical connection for charging e-bikes with fixed or very difficult-to-remove batteries. However, if you're looking to enjoy a beer on the lovely garden terrace, the hotelier will provide a power connection via a party opening. The owner and his wife are very friendly, helpful, and personable. I found the solution regarding access to the guest restroom in the restaurant/beer garden a bit odd. You only gain access by asking for a token and then inserting it into a machine in the restroom. But for guests who have a room, this is not a problem.

Restaurant: Disproportionately expensive and poorly presented, small portions.

We went to the restaurant, and the prices don't match what's pictured here. Everything was much more expensive and sometimes the service was lacking in love. A Thai soup was good, but my girlfriend's appetizer platter was really not good. The prices aren't justified; others with similar cuisine are cheaper and put more effort into it. Free parking is available right across the street. Hence the 2 stars.

The gentleman at the reception was very unfriendly.

Unfortunately disappointing. Prices extremely high. I'm happy to pay for good food. But that is not the case there. If you want to eat good Thai food, you should give this restaurant a wide berth. Too bad.

Excellent homemade cakes. Menu consists of half German dishes and half Thai dishes. The location is very nice and when the temperature is right you can eat well in the adjacent garden. I can't provide any information about the rooms.

I had a very clean and quiet room, comfortable bed and I experienced nice and friendly hotel staff. Unfortunately I have to give 4 stars instead of five, because after going to the sharing toilet, there is no possibility to wash hands. I had to go back to my room to wash my hands. In my room there was a sink and soap. But in the toilet there wasn't.

Beautifully located. Great cuisine. Thai meets Franconian. Large selection of beers and wines. Excellent cuisine, perfect service.

We only stayed one night here and it was a great stay. The house is very old and there's a lot of charm to it. The rooms are definitely not luxurious but they are clean and the bed is so comfortable. Old town is about a 35 minute walk through a park by the river, it's not lit at night so keep that in mind!

The value for money did not meet our expectations, especially considering the average food that was not justified for the prices asked. The main point of criticism, however, is the quality of the food. It appears that storage, particularly refrigeration, of fresh produce has been greatly neglected. We visited the restaurant two days ago and within two hours of leaving we began to experience symptoms of food poisoning, which have since increased over the 48 hours. This is particularly concerning since I regularly eat at various Asian restaurants and have never had such problems.

I'm a bit conflicted here. The rooms are rather simple and need renovation. You have to like the shared toilet and shower. The rooms are functionally furnished. But relatively large. They are very noisy and the floor creaks with every step. The breakfast buffet was sufficient and everything you needed was there. The rolls were fresh from the bakery. No baked rolls. The location was very good. 2 minutes to the next bus stop. The river is directly opposite and it was also a 2-minute walk into the forest. It takes about 40 minutes to walk to the city center. The food in the restaurant was very good and we enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked that very much. Only the old rooms prevent a better rating.

Run down hotel. I booked a double room and found quite a hole, but with a nice view of the Pegnitz. The television didn't work and battery acid leaked from the remote control. When the neighbor used the sink in the room, there was a loud gurgling sound in my room. There is only one toilet and shower on each floor. The fact that the double room does not have its own sanitary facilities was not apparent on the internet thanks to the white text of the room description on a white background.

Privately run, rustic hotel. I find the combination of Franconian and Thai cuisine in the restaurant interesting. Rarely have we had such good Thai food and a very good beer selection! However, the rooms, with their 80s chic, take a lot of getting used to. The room price is only bearable because breakfast is included and is also very good.

Clean but old facility. For example, the curtain was torn. Shared toilet in the hallway, so noisy at night. The breakfast was very good and plentiful, the service was nice and friendly.

Beautiful cafe with very friendly staff. Large selection of ice cream and very tasty home-baked cakes, so I'm happy to pay a slightly higher price. Gladly again 👍

Sehr ruhiges und gemütliches Hotel mit schönem Ausblick aufs Wasser. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr :) Für günstiges Geld nur weiter zu empfehlen

Ruhig gelegen, etwa eine halbe Stunde zu Fuß von der Innenstadt durch ein Wäldchen am Fluss entlang. Recht günstig, leckeres Frühstück im Preis inbegriffen. Zimmer etwas altbacken aber neues Bad und alles sauber. Im dazugehörigen Restaurant haben wir gut gegessen

Hotel mit toller Lage; Fahrräder konnten wir im Fahrradraum abstellen. Das Zimmer war nicht so toll, speziell das kaputte Ausziehbett hat einen erholsamen Schlaf verhindert. Frühstück Standart…

Das Café Lieb in Bug ist seit vielen Jahren für Bamberger ein beliebtes Ziel. Großartige Auswahl an Torten und Kuchen. Auch die angebotene thailändische Küche soll sehr gut sein, was ich noch probieren werde.

Naja nach Minigolf wollten wir etwas trinken, meine zwei Begleiter hatten Schokomilchshake und eine Milchschokolade. Ich wollte lediglich ein Glas Leitungswasser, "lecker" lauwarm und kostet 0,90 Euro.... sorry aber das muss nicht nochmal sein

Hatten hier als Fahrrad-Urlauber unseren zentralen "Stützpunkt". Die Lage ist einmalig. Mit dem Fahrrad hat man entlang der Regnitz wenige Minuten nach Bamberg. Die malerischen Sonnenaufgänge über der Regnitz waren ein Highlight. Herrliche Ruhe. Sehr üppiges und leckeres Frühstück. Die Zimmer bieten alles was man braucht und sind sehr sauber. Die Fahrräder kann man in einem abgeschlossenen Nebengebäude sicher unterbringen was wir sehr toll fanden! Ebenso kann man hier ganz lecker Essen! Alles in allem finden wir es sehr empfehlenswert! *****

Sehr leckere, große Stücken Kuchen und Torte zu einem gerechtfertigten Preis.

Einzelzimmer mit Gemeinschaftsdusche und -Toilette gebucht. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war für Bamberg sehr gut. Frühstück war super und reichhaltig. Zimmer sehr hellhörig, geht aber mit Ohropax. Schöner Weg zur Stadt am Fluss durch einen angenehm kühlen Park.

Hatten kurz Pause gemacht und was getrunken, Bedienung war freundlich aber die Preise gepfeffert, für ein Glas Leitungswasser ( was "lecker" lauwarm war) 0,90 Euro, meine Tochter hatte eine Milchschokolade und ein Freund Milchshake über 12 Euro....

Ein kleines, familiengeführtes Familienhotel. Gemütliches, altes Gebäude mit einem sehr schönen Biergarten und gutem Essen. Die Zimmer mit Bad sind klein und gemütlich, die Gastgeber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist überschaubar, aber alles da, was man braucht: Eier, Käse, Wurst, Müsli, Joghurt, frisches Obst und Gemüse und Brötchen. Die Lage an der Regnitz ist toll. Etwa 25 bis 35 Minuten Fußweg in die Altstadt. Busverbindung direkt vor dem Hotel. Wir waren zwei mal dort für ja zwei Nächte. Ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Radfahrer oder Motorradfahrer. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Früher war es immer sehr sehr gut aber teuer, jetzt ist das Essen nur noch "gut" bis mittel und die preise sind unverschämt teuer geworden, trotzdem 3 sterne weils schon einigermaßen gut war

Schnelle und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Kaffee und Kuchen sehr gut. Preislich angemessen. Also alles top.

Immer gerne, thailändisch und deutsche Küche ausgezeichnet. Habe am Sonntag einen hervorragenden Sauerbraten gegessen mit Klößen und Blaukraut. Meine Frau ist begeistert vom thailändischen Essen,kommen immer gerne wieder. Der Garten mit den schönen Bäumen beschattet die Plätze wunderbar.

Sehr sehr gutes Essen, ob thailändische oder deutsche Küche und der Garten ein Traum. Parkplätze vor der Tür und für Menschen mit Gehbehinderung super zu erreichen 👍

Gute Möglichkeit in Bamberg Stadtteil Bug günstig (Etagendusche) mit gutem Frühstück zu übernachten. Die Küche bietet thailändische und fränkische Speisen im hauseigenen Biergarten.

Es fehlte an Dingen wie Zitronengras oder Thai-Basilikum und div. Gewürzen. Für die gebotene Qualität zu hochpreisig...

Wir waren zum Abendessen hier. Die Speisekarte ist interessant, das servierte Essen dann doch enttäuschend. Da ist noch Luft nach oben.
