The food was very tasty. My steak wasn't cooked perfectly, but I didn't complain because the quality of the meat was perfect.

Ordered the table for 10 people personally a week ago and everyone was very nice. Great, very tasty appetizer platters and things continued just as well. Funny but still very attentive waiters... All in all a great evening

Nice ambience and good Italian cuisine. Employees are friendly. Only the bill took a while to arrive.

The tip was "worth its weight in gold" - I haven't had such a good Italian meal in a long time. Great atmosphere and tastefully decorated. Service attentive and friendly. A bit expensive, but worth the money. We'll come back when we're in OL again.

Italian restaurant with wonderful food. The beef fillet was fried to perfection. I would have liked there to be a little more market vegetables, but of course that's personal preference - I'll order it that way on my next visit. Our personal highlight, however, was the crème brûlée with raspberry sorbet. The vanilla note and perfect consistency and the freshness of the slightly sour-sweet raspberry sorbet created a heavenly flavor pairing. The service was very nice and attentive and even though it was very busy that evening we didn't have to wait too long for anything. Price-performance ratio is definitely fair for the product quality you get.

Like the atmosphere. With a little bit more salt and pepper, prawn and fish tasted delicious.

The three of us come to Sasso regularly and every time it is an absolute pleasure! I always look forward to the Surf n Turf, which is the perfect dish for me - juicy meat, perfectly combined with fresh lobster, simply delicious! The quality is consistently at the highest level. The service is also excellent: friendly, attentive and always trying to make us feel comfortable. It is always a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we always look forward to our next visit. Sasso is simply the perfect place for us to spend time together and eat excellent food.

Telephone reservations for Saturday worked smoothly. Very friendly contact even on the phone. Very appealing ambience with modern, unobtrusive chill music in the background. Beautifully set tables with high-quality glasses, cutlery, etc. Very friendly and attentive service! The food came quickly and was delicious, everything was right on point and beautifully presented. Absolutely reasonable in price. Everything is very clean, the toilet area is very attractively decorated with beautiful tiles, scents, etc. There are small guest towels and no disposable paper from the dispenser, great! The little things make the big difference! 🤩 THANK YOU

Everything was fine, nice service, good food, decent portions... only the olive oil that was served with the bread was completely odorless and tasteless. Cold-pressed oil would be appropriate in this category.

I first read other reviews before I wanted to write something negative here to check whether we were just unlucky. Unfortunately not from the looks of it. grievances have often been highlighted here that apparently none of the operators are interested in. So the cards were simply thrown on the table without a word. Not in front of us but on the side of the table in the stack. Definitely not appropriate in a restaurant like this. This isn't a snack bar! There was no question as to whether we would like to have a drink. Here you had to actively make eye contact in order to get the waiter back to the table. We each ordered a starter and a main course. After more than 1 hour and 15 minutes, we asked if they had forgotten us because by now four tables around us had finished their main course even though everyone came after us. It seemed so, because after another 5 minutes the starters were on the table. There was no apology about the incident. The waiter who had taken the order suddenly worked in a different area. I think he forgot to hand over the order. Meanwhile our drinks were obviously empty. Don't you think they asked us if we wanted something to drink with the starter... It only took 20 minutes from the starter to the main course and we were then asked if we would like something else to drink. Very much. The drinks came quickly. To make matters worse, my dish was actually wrong. I got a pepper steak instead of gorgonzola cream. Unfortunately, I only noticed this halfway through and forgot to mention it at the end. The food deserves a full 5*. Unfortunately the service is not. At the end we were asked if everything was ok and I mentioned the very long waiting time. This was acknowledged with a shrug of the shoulders. Here, too, there was no “apology” or an offer of an espresso or something similar as we know from other restaurants. We were also not offered dessert, which we had actually planned for. Because of the long wait, we didn't feel like it anymore anyway. When it came to the bill, there was still a noticeable wait of 5 seconds to see whether the amount was different than what was on the bill. I usually always tip well. I really didn't think it was appropriate to reward bad service here. Too bad for the kitchen. They deserved it. We probably won't be back because my statements can also be found in various other reviews.

The food was ok but not good or even great, but the price was too expensive. And the service was ok, but for me personally it was too cool and not warm enough.

It's great to sit here, really comfortable! However, the lunch menu is very small, not everyone will find something there, and the prices are steep. That's why I rarely go there, even if the food is really good and the service is nice.

Great location, friendly, responsive staff. My meal was good, but the spinach tasted musty. There was no taste explosion at all. The gorgonzola sauce was also meaningless... You can visit Sasso, but you don't have to. Sorry, given the prices, just a good pet bonus is not enough.

The food is excellent. The ambience is top class and the service is perfect. Even the toilet is immaculate. The Sasso is highly recommended. The outdoor area invites you to linger. Definitely gained regular guests.

Very tasty and very friendly great service

We came to dinner in a large group of 6 adults and 5 children. There was enough space and the staff were extremely friendly and joking. Flexible in the choice of food, they simply brought 3 plates of fries for the children with a margarita pizza. The starters were a hit in terms of taste, the main course was even better, although unfortunately we had to wait a bit for the main course. Highly recommended! A chic wardrobe (and not necessarily shorts and flip flops) would also match the beautiful ambience. ;)

Unfortunately a starter was served late and a main course was served late. That was a bit annoying. The excellent food easily compensated for this.

It was my first time eating there, and the dish cost €35 and had very few fries on it and a small piece of meat. Unfortunately the bread was very hard. But overall, the food still tasted very good.

It's as far as food goes, definitely THE Italian in Oldenburg. Top dishes, everything very tasty - whether meat, pizza or pasta. However, the prices are also decent - in my opinion 10-20% too high. In return you get bottled wines at a reasonable price. 3* for the service only because, at least during our visit, the 2 lovely service employees were simply overwhelmed by the many guests. Once you got your attention, the service was very nice and accommodating.

We had lunch here on Friday lunchtime. Unfortunately, no one came to us for a very long time. At some point bread was put on the table, but no plates. Okay, we put our napkins underneath. We had to wait almost an hour for our food. It was just too long, somehow we didn't feel welcome. The food was very good, the atmosphere is also very nice. That was our second rather negative experience at Sasso. Maybe we'll have another chance and sit facing the waiters, that might be a bit useful.

The food, the service and the ambience have been great for years - there's nothing to complain about. But unfortunately the prices have risen a lot. On the one hand, this is understandable, but at some point it will no longer be affordable for “normal consumers”.

We spent our girls' night here. The food was really delicious. In terms of taste, I had one of the best pizzas in Oldenburg. Really really good.

Unfortunately our reservation didn't work out. However, this was taken care of immediately and we were allocated a table. The food was extremely good! The service was very friendly. However, as is unfortunately the case in many restaurants these days, it is no longer as present after the meal. The restaurant was very busy and therefore very loud. It's almost impossible to have a conversation with everyone at the table.

A nice quiet restaurant with a very good selection of food. We can particularly recommend the pasta dishes such as ravioli. The sauces for the dishes are a highlight and go wonderfully with the pasta.

We were there for the first time. The atmosphere was very inviting, the boss was very distant and taciturn, the staff was quick. The bruschetta was pre-made from the fridge, soggy and very flat in taste. The spaghetti with chilli and oil also had nothing to offer other than a bit of heat. My salmon fillet was average and not appropriate for the price. The espresso was again very good. All in all, I can't understand why this high-priced Italian restaurant is so busy. For us it was this one attempt - there are better Italian restaurants in Oldenburg

Food was very good and delivered quickly. The waiters were very friendly, but unfortunately no one ever came to the table and we always had to wait and call someone if we wanted something else. Nobody came for dessert either and we went to the bar ourselves to pay. For these prices you can expect a little more

Visited on Saturday evening, the restaurant was well filled and still not a long wait. The menu is rather expensive, with meat dishes not under 30 euros and a glass of 0.2l wine for 8 euros. The price is ok if the quality matches it. But the price-performance ratio is very close to the limit. Unfortunately, the food for the six of us didn't come at the same time. The food is solid, but nothing more. And actually too expensive for that. If food and drink for two cost around 80 euros then I would have expected a grappa or something similar from the house at the end. But unfortunately none. Unfortunately, the good service and ambience cannot compensate for the average and therefore overpriced food.

Nicely decorated restaurant with attentive service and good food. Starter: Zuppa di Pomodoro (tomato soup), which unfortunately came out a bit bland. Main course Cotoletta di Agnello (5 lamb cutlets) which were well seasoned and fried, and a pizza burrata that was fresh and with a loose base, but unfortunately also a little underseasoned. The portion sizes were sufficient for the price.

Food was good, but sometimes better. Unfortunately, the filled salmon tortellini were undercooked, the pasta dough had a hard bite and therefore hardly any taste. I found the price rather ambitious for 6 tortellini. The tiramisu was dry and obviously made without coffee, amaretto or liqueur, there may have been mascarpone in it. So it's better to stay away from it. But unfortunately this is confirmed again and again; Italian restaurants in Germany usually don't get tiramisu. Better to do it yourself.

We have been regular customers for 7 years and love Sasso! Large portions, super nice service, great wine selection, perfect steak! Always a “well-rounded evening”! Of course, food has become more expensive in recent years, but that's the case everywhere! If you're always upset about it, you won't be allowed to go out to eat anymore.

Sehr freundlicher und netter Service, der sich Mühe gibt, den Gästen ihre Wünsche schnell und kompetent zu erfüllen. Daneben ist auch die Küche super und empfehlenswert. Wir waren jetzt 2x da und beide Male war das Essen sehr gut und sehr schmackhaft. Auf das typisch Italienische wird verzichtet, die Spaghetti sehr schmackhaft.

We received packaged cookies with our coffee. One of these cookies was moldy. Unfortunately my wife only noticed this after taking a bite. The waitress took note of our complaint and took the biscuit away. Not a word of regret, or a small compensation in the form of, for example, a coffee on the house. Weak!!!

I've never seen a waiter think so hard. While we were browsing through the menu, he came to the table and asked if our daughter would like fries or something. Then he asked if they could be spiced because they were for a child, and if there was a lot or a little spice. And when I ordered her a drink, the first question he asked was whether it came with a straw. Overall, the waitresses had everything in view at all times and were very accommodating! A young family sat down at the next table. The mother just wanted to see if there were chairs for children. At that moment the waitress already had the chair in her hand and asked if it was needed. Really awesome! And the food was excellent too! 100 out of 5 stars!!! Extremely satisfied! We felt very picked up there! ♥️

During our first visit we could see that a team is really making an effort here. Admittedly, the prices are slightly higher, but in return you get very good (sometimes too fast) service, a fine selection of dishes and great wines in a pleasant and stylish atmosphere. However, for a quiet dinner for two, it gets quite loud over the course of the visit. However, this is not a shortcoming, but rather due to personal feeling.

A fantastic Italian restaurant in the heart of Oldenburg! Everything here is just right from the first moment. The charming and extremely attentive service, coupled with a diverse selection of Italian delicacies, makes the visit a pleasure. Update: Nach unserem zweiten Tripp ist das Sasso unsere neue Lieblings Pizzaria!

Ich war schon öfter im Sasso essen, jedesmal habe ich etwas anderes probiert, ob Geschäftspartner oder Freunde alle waren von der Qualität der Speisen begeistert. Danke für die überaus freundliche Bedienung. Hier kehre ich immer wieder gerne ein, macht weiter so wir sehen uns!

Sehr leckeres Essen in einem zwar ziemlich engen und lautem, aber dennoch schönem Ambiente. Der Service hingegen war ziemlich schlecht. Die Karten wurden wortlos am Rand des Tisches abgelegt, zweimal haben wir nach einer weiteren Flasche Wasser gefragt (diese schlussendlich gar nicht bekommen), unsere Flasche Wein war während des Essens dann leer und blieb auch leer und auch der Wunsch die Desertkarte zu bekommen wurde auch nicht erfüllt! In diesem Laden sind wohl nur Stammgäste willkommen, denn wärend unsere Getränke ausgeschenkt wurden, wurde sich von uns abgewendet um andere Gäste zu begrüßen. Eine angemessene Begrüßung haben wir jedoch nicht bekommen, geschweige denn ein „Zum Wohl“ oder „Bitteschön“ zum Essen/Getränk. In diesen Laden kommen wir also leider nicht wieder!

Eigentlich hatten wir vor, ein gemütliches itaienisches Abendessen zu genießen. Nach etwas Warten auf die Speisekarte bestellten wir eine Flasche Wein, jeweils ein Hauptmenü und Beilagensalat. Während wir das erste Glas Wein am geniessen waren, wurde etwas Brot mit einem Dip serviert. Nette Geste, dachten wir. Aber noch bevor wir das erste Stück Brot auch nur probiert hatten, kam schon unser Hauptmenü. Gemütlich ist anders! Dann zum Geschmack: die Lasagne war lecker, der Salat jedoch hatte seine besten Zeiten schon länger hinter sich gelassen, der war nicht mehr frisch. Unterm Strich: nach weniger als 45 min war das Abendessen beendet, fast Rekordzeit. Dem Personal haben wir unseren Unmut bekannt gegeben, es gab denn einen Espresso aufs Haus (ich mag keinen Espresso, aber ok). Unterm Strich: teurer Abend, wenig Genuß!
