We were 4 older people and were greeted at the entrance with a blockade...blockade. When we just wanted to eat large portions of ice cream and drink coffee, we were asked out. This pizzaria is NOT recommended!!! Service 0 stars!!! Very unfriendly staff!!!! Then she should take ice cream, cocoa and coffee off the menu!!!

We would like to drink coffee and eat ice cream today but the restaurant manager canceled us. And no apology, no goodbye, nothing(( That was very rude

Always a pleasure and a long time guest. Recently, however, there has been a waiter who has made it his personal mission to treat guests horribly (beard, Ferrari glasses). Everything from sexist comments to aggressive and abusive behavior. We were also able to watch him treat one of his colleagues just as disgustingly. The food is also getting worse and worse, the price is absolute nonsense, the antipasti taste like nothing. It's an incredible shame to see a traditional shop like this, which has always impressed with really great service and good cuisine, go to the dogs. After having to experience this one waiter 3 times now, I probably won't visit this store again. If I want to be treated like that, I'll go to jail!

Staff was extremely unfriendly, food was absolutely loveless. For a €9.50 plate of spaghetti and a large Sprite I had to pay €26 - I have no idea what the waiter came up with for that amount

Definitely a recommendation, I'd be happy to come back. The last star is criticism at a high level, we had a table for two in the middle of the room, the aisle on the left and right was too narrow, occasional touching of other guests was unavoidable, the knife didn't have enough saw to cut the pizza, it was more of a tear, that's great Pizza was so big, unfortunately the plate was a little too small for it. It's just small things, we'll be happy to come back, pizza was really good.

It is difficult to award a star for the following reasons: The taste of the food (Scaloppe Marsala and Pizza Inferno) is excellent, the meat is unfortunately cooked just past the perfect point, so it is not quite as tender as it should be, but that can definitely happen there was a lot going on. Therefore, a point deduction in the food category. The service was super fast - almost too fast, given the wide range of options on the menu you can't make a decision within nanoseconds - but the service was friendly, humorous and polite. Deserved 5 stars here The ambience is colorful with Italian flair. Unfortunately, the space was stretched to the limit of what was bearable, so less would be more, because not every guest may find it tolerable to see the waiter's worst over the menage at their own table or to come dangerously close to their own plate, because where actually the running route of the service staff was supposed to be, and two two-person tables had to be squeezed in. Therefore only 2 stars in this category. In conclusion, if the narrowness is removed, Mamma Mia certainly has what it takes to be an upscale Italian restaurant that shouldn't have to offer the un-Italian version of carbonara with cream! The quality of the food was good. (Bruschetta tastes really great). We weren't that impressed with the carbonara. The service was great, but you felt cramped because of the very narrow tables.

Staff is very unfriendly. We ordered a sweet wine and got it really dry. When we order food, they don't want to offer us anything other than pizza and pasta because the other one takes too long. There was a hair in the food. Next time we would eat somewhere else.

So, we wanted to eat something there this afternoon and they wanted to give us a small table that wouldn't even fit two pizza plates. We should be pushed into the smallest corner, where we almost sit on each other's laps. I'm really disappointed. We have been there many times, but have never been treated so badly. There were enough tables available, but no one took up the issue. Really sad. We otherwise drove an extra 60 km to eat delicious pizza and pasta. And that several times a year. But you don't treat anyone like that. Too bad.

For us one of the best owner-managed Italian restaurants in Oldenburg. Our recommendation are the Sardinian ravioli, called culurgiones - filled with potatoes, mint, fresh tomatoes and Pecorino cheese. Class!

Very nice staff, despite the restaurant being full, they still found a table for the four of us (although it was very, very tight for tall people) and the food was great. I had risotto with squid, which you rarely find in Italian restaurants in Germany, wonderful.

NEVER AGAIN MAMMA MIA!!!!! I haven't experienced such unfriendly, brazen and disrespectful staff in a long time. And unfortunately this is not an isolated case. All simply unsympathetic. They brazenly lie to your face and assign seats in the back corner so that the people who (in their eyes) look like money sit at the front of the window or entrance. It's pure mass production. It's a shame because the food tastes good. But here you definitely can't eat in a relaxed and nice atmosphere. It was definitely the last time for us!!!!

Very loud staff who shout at each other, not in German. My partner ordered a pizza 🍕 which took a very long time to be brought to the table, and we noticed that there was no topping or pizza base in the middle. A waiter who was called to the table was made aware of this and immediately brushed it off, saying it would be normal for a large pizza 🍕 but when we insisted that it should be exchanged, he refused and only started discussing it with us when a colleague came over came << was probably the owner >> and asked what was going on, he was told the reason, he took the plate with him, made noise to his colleague and disappeared with the plate and 10 minutes later brought a new one and apologized. On the whole, the food tasted good but unfortunately it was very loud and hectic and the food got stuck in your throat.

Today we went to Mamma Mia with our group of girls. It was very tasty, everything was freshly prepared. The service was attentive and friendly. We'll be back!

After many years, I finally decided to stop by this pizzeria. The bruschetta was quite chaotically topped, but quite generously topped. The pizza -- vegetarian with artichokes and cheese -- tasted okay, but the dough was quite soft and limp in the middle. Maybe the pizza could have stayed in a moment longer. The service from the waiters was good, although a bit chaotic at times.

The waiter was outrageously unfriendly, the tables were so close together that there was hardly any privacy. We decided on a fish platter for 2 people, the fish was hard and dry, no question as to how it tasted. The tiramisu afterwards tasted like the cream was bad. We won't be coming back.

Unfortunately 0 stars are not possible! Terribly unfriendly staff! I don't understand why this restaurant has such good reviews. The food may be very good, but that's not everything these days - I can make my pizza or pasta at home with high-quality ingredients, without an unfriendly and bad-tempered waiter barking at me from the side. The story: I wanted to purchase a voucher at 11:10 a.m., according to Googlemaps the restaurant opens at 11:00 a.m. The waiter muttered something about "Too early!" and that the colleague who could issue the voucher was not there yet. Good. When I asked when he would come, he grumpily replied that he didn't know, at 12 p.m. or something like that. And they're not open yet. I then said that Google Maps said 11 a.m. and that perhaps we should change that. He shrugged and sent me out. In the end I made it clear to him that I would definitely not buy a voucher - ever - in this restaurant. He mumbled something to me in his local language, which unfortunately I didn't understand. Incompetent, unfriendly and anything but customer oriented. Well, not then.

We've been here again for a long time and unfortunately found that the taste had deteriorated significantly. The tables are so close together that you can hardly sit properly. It wasn't so nice anymore. But maybe it's just a bad day.

If the less impaired segniore shouts at you sincerely and honestly about your opinion: "EVERYTHING IS ORDENUNGE?" Please be so honest and deny it if your pizza, which was half-baked on corn semolina, was just as dripping with fat as mine, so that you could have easily squeezed a coffee cup of trans fats out of the miserable piece of baked goods. Very unfriendly waiter, you are not treated like a customer. The waiter was immediately pissed off because you didn't immediately know what you wanted to drink. You wanted to order something and the waiter answered immediately after 5 seconds. Well then not. The second time he tried to order something, he turned around and left. We just paid for the drink and wanted to speak to the owner, the waiter said he wasn't there. We tried to talk to the waiter but he just bitched at us. We've become very uncomfortable in this way and won't go there anymore. I have no idea what the food tastes like.

Ate there last night, luckily we reserved it! Service quick and friendly. Pizza and pasta came quickly and hot. Everything was great in terms of taste and portion size. Gladly again!!!

I've been going to this restaurant since I was a child, but I have to honestly say that this time I was disappointed. The food was great as always, but unfortunately the service wasn't good at all. It was our first time here with my father-in-law and his handicap was not taken into account at all. We only had the menu for less than 5 minutes and were then "pushed" into placing an order with the words "quick, quick". During the meal we still had the feeling that we had to hurry because a waiter constantly walked past our table and then seemed happy that we weren't finished yet. Since my father-in-law has a handicap, this will take a little longer. It really made me uncomfortable and I felt very sorry for my father-in-law! It's a real shame - now you'll think twice about going somewhere else to eat.

Really a great Italian restaurant. The tables are a bit cramped, but that doesn't matter. The atmosphere, service and food are brilliant. Were there with 4 people. Everyone very satisfied. My pizza was great.

We've been there three times now. No matter whether the restaurant is empty or full. The food itself is good. Especially for the price, but the waiters just don't care. All the reserved signs are apparently just there to make life easier. Because no matter when you are there and how full the place is, you will not receive any service. Despite everything, we wanted to eat there again today and asked if there was something available for three people. The waiter didn't even look at us, just mumbled "No, we didn't." and just left us there. Cool. Yes, hello first. Then we swished and treated ourselves to a brilliant baguette and first had the friendliest service to digest this bullshit. Next time it's better to go directly to people who enjoy their job and not to older men who hate themselves and everything. What's wrong with the dude? :D

The tables are very close together, the waiters only speak Italian to each other and are polite to arrogant and the food tastes authentic: it feels like you are sitting in the middle of Italy. Always my pleasure!!!

We've been visiting this place regularly since the early 80s - but probably not anymore. We had reserved a specific table on Monday for Sunday. According to the reservation book, there were no further reservations. The table was still free when we arrived, but we were very rudely relegated to a seat on the edge. Shortly after we sat down, a couple from the Oldenburg chic scene came and were allowed to sit there. We are not used to such treatment and are not willing to tolerate it. We then left. You can also eat very well in the Ratskeller and are treated more friendly.

Excellent food, very friendly and polite staff, just a bit cramped, but you're happy to accept that.

I rate the SERVICE and NOT the food. We spontaneously wanted to eat pizza with our children. As already described, all the tables outside had a reserved sign. When we asked the waiter, who looked really unfriendly, if we could take a seat (they said that we had a stroller with us), we were scanned first. Then he went in and asked the waiter... it probably took three minutes. We were offered a place inside, EVERYTHING outside was full. We kept going The kicker comes: as I continued walking, I heard a group talking to the same waiter who also hadn't made a reservation. They got a great spot right outside, without consultation, without scanning. It's a shame that a young family with two children is fobbed off like this. We'll give it a wide berth. A pity.

Am Samstag, 22. Juni, hatten wir einen Tisch reserviert für drei Personen für 19.30 Uhr. Das hat geklappt. Das Lokal war sehr ausgebucht. Unser Tisch war sehr klein. Alles unangenehm eng. Bis auf eine Ausnahme (ein junger Mann) war das Personal durchweg unfreundlich. Alles musste schnell gehen. Was uns sehr störte, das mehrere verschiedene Servicekräfte zu unserem Tisch kamen und nach unseren Wünschen fragten. Wir kamen kaum zur Ruhe. Die Pizzen waren groß, gut belegt und lecker. Aber das ist beim Italiener eigentlich selbstverständlich. Was garnicht geht: Meine Frau war noch nicht fertig mit ihrer Pizza, da konnte ich gerade noch verhindern, das die Teller von mir und meiner Enkelin schon abgeräumt wurden. Das gehört sich einfach nicht! Und kurz darauf von einer anderen Bedienung noch einmal der Versuch, uns die Teller "wegzunehmen", obwohl meine Frau immer noch mit ihrer Pizza beschäftigt war. Die Spitze war dann der Versuch der Bestellung einer Nachspeise Mousse au Chocolate. Das war anscheinend nicht möglich. Das gab offensichtlich nur in Verbindung mit Mousse Zabaione. Trotz mehrfacher Nachfrage war es offensichtlich nicht möglich, nur Mousse au Chocolate zu bekommen. Okay, die Desserts waren wohl alle vorbereitet bzw. wurden so fertig geliefert. Eine freundliche Erklärung der Bedienung hätten wir akzeptiert. Nur nicht seine sehr unfreundliche, freche und sogar böse Antwort. Das war die absolute Krönung. Nach der Bezahlung der Rechnung ohne Trinkgeld verließen wir dieses "Restaurant" und werden es auch nicht wieder aufsuchen. Aus unserer Sicht wirklich nur Massenabfertigung. Absolut kein Vergleich mit unserem Lieblings-Italiener, bei dem wir mit einem "Gruss aus der Küche" empfangen werden und wo die Bedienung sich Zeit für uns nimmt und uns mit einem Marsala verabschiedet, obwohl dieses Restaurant am Wochenende auch immer ausgebucht ist.

Die Freundlichkeit des Personal zeichnet sich durch eine Arroganz und Unprofessionalität aus die ich bis dato noch nirgendwo erlebt habe. Arroganz weil nicht auf die Wünsche der Gäste eingegangen wird. Teller werden abgeräumt auch wenn noch nicht zu Ende gegessen wurde. Kellner vergisst Bestellung, hat aber dafür Zeit genug mit seine Kollegen Blödsinn an der Theke zu machen. Es scheint keine Leitung vorhanden zusein, der klar die Wünsche der Gäste spürt und umsetzt. Eine Pizza die okay ist, aber wenn ich so behandelt werde ist diese Adresse fehl am Platz. Ich kann es NICHT weiter empfehlen

The pizza was very good, unfortunately I rate the restaurant with one star because the waiter was very unpleasant. The waiter spoiled my mood with his bad behavior. I will never go there again but choose a place with better service. This man had a problem from the start. In the end he screamed when we wanted to pay separately.

One ⭐️star because of the food. The second ⭐️star because it was clean. Yesterday I had dinner at Mamma Mia in Oldenburg. I sat outside. What was very unpleasant was that the tables were far too close together - so there was no privacy for conversations. Rather impossible. The lovely red wine I ordered was a simple Lambrussco. Even the waiter didn't give me a verbal selection of sweet red wines. This is part of good service, that a waiter knows his wines and offers them to the guest and therefore the time is given for the guest. Well, it's better somewhere else! My food was delicious. No question. Even the pizza was sprinkled with oregano, which many people don't do anymore. What's annoying is that there are far too many waiters in one area! That made me nervous. Since there were so many waiters there, you didn't have time for a proper "How good is the wine? How does your food taste?" They come every second and are gone immediately, and there are always different waiters - never the same one. That was uncomfortable. Not one bit, I was met with Italian charm and wit as well as Italian composure. It wasn't busy, there were enough waiters on site and yet someone forgot that I wanted to pay. Even when paying, the waiter couldn't show me any Italian sympathy, not even a smile or eye contact. A pity.

I wanted a place where I could eat delicious Italian food. But the waiter's answer was just "I don't speak German". Then he left without saying anything or even attempting to serve me. I mean, my German isn't that good either, but I'm trying to communicate.

Zweimal Filet-Steak Gorgonzola a‘ 28,90€ und Rotwein Primitivo di Pugli a‘ 7,90€. Nette Bedienung, die Steaks rosa gebraten wie es sein soll, als Filet leider beide von kleinen, zufielen Sehnen durchzogen. Fleisch also eher minderwertig. Die großen Teller nicht vorgewärmt, was man erwarten könnte. Gemüse fast roh und kalt und ohne Geschmack, etwas Kartöffelchen auf dem Teller kaum zu entdecken, keine vernünftige Folienkartoffel pp., die Gorgonzola-Sauce ums Fleisch drapiert, fast kalt. Auf die Qualität unstes Fleisches wurde hingewiesen, die Reste ja deutlich sichtbar. Insgesamt ein Minderwertiges Essen, der Rotwein geschmacklich leider nicht erstklassig, für 7,90€ pro Glas m. E. eher zu teuer. Wir werden uns künftig eine andere italienische Küche suchen!

All in all, not a nice visit to the restaurant: annoyed staff, narrow aisles, the Nice salad was served with a ready-made sauce that didn't fit at all and didn't taste good. I'll never eat there again!!

We sat outside and the restaurant was very busy. The seats were on the street side so a spot wasn't ideal. Service was very good and so was the food. Oldenburg is a beautiful, cozy city. It's easy to get there by public transport and there are nice shops there.

Das Essen ist immer hervorragend, wenn man Platz nehmen darf. Wir waren zh dritt und wurden absolut unfreundlich abgefertigt. Wir haben keinen Platz.. Mit der gesamten Familie mit 10 Personen wäre es vermutlich anders gewesen. Aber wi man das nach einer so unfreundlichen Abwehr noch noch einmal versuchen?? Dabei war ich sind meine Erinnerungen so gut und immerhin 46 Jahre alt 😢

Ultra stressed waiters, annoying. You think you are in a sophisticated restaurant, but you usually look for such behavior in vain, unfortunately.

Overall, the food is delicious, but the service depends on the day. Ordering, eating and collecting is quick, but speaking to someone in between is very difficult. So complaints such as cold food/coffee cup on a floating saucer are very difficult. And expressing criticism afterwards makes no sense at all, it will be dismissed!!! The whole process is extremely busy and you have the feeling that everyone is just checking to see when you can reoccupy the table again. What then tops it all off is when the staff intercepts the guest, in this case female, immediately after using the toilet and asks for the Inster account. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

We like going to Mama Mia. The food is very good. The staff very friendly. We really like the “hustle and bustle”, guests come, guests go, the employees always have a friendly word to say despite the stress. Our wishes are always fulfilled. The boss is also extremely nice and always makes sure that all guests get a table and are served in a friendly manner. I think the people complaining here believe that when they go to a restaurant, they can sit wherever they want and the waiter has to jump right away just because they're paying. All or most of us have a workplace where we want to be treated with respect and kindness. If you wait and ask politely for a seat, you will get it. No matter whether alone, as a couple or as a group of 6...sometimes you just have to wait. I have to do that at the checkout in the supermarket too. I have great respect for the entire team and would like to thank everyone for their work. I don't have to start work at 8 a.m. and stay until 11/24 p.m. just because some guests think they can sip their wine after business hours. A little smile and patience opens many doors.

We were in this restaurant yesterday, the food was okay, the waiter was arrogant and outrageously cheeky (mass processing with little joy in the work). It's a shame that this ruined our next visit, as the restaurant is very tastefully decorated.

Yesterday we had dinner there again after years with 6 people. We won't be coming back. You felt pressured to order quickly. After the food came (which was mediocre) it felt like every 2 minutes we checked to see if we were finally finished. Partial eye rolls. The waitress (an older gentleman) was very unfriendly. It was cleared away while my friend still had arugula on her plate and was still chewing. Just like that, without saying anything. We then spoke to a waitress - unfortunately she didn't understand us. We wanted to have a nice, cozy evening and continued it somewhere else. For the first time in our lives we didn't tip. Very disappointing.

Very unfriendly service. Unfortunately, my brother is deaf, so he didn't hear the boss's "Hello." After which we were shouted at so much and were expelled from the store even though I explained that unfortunately my brother didn't hear it. Unbelievable... never experienced anything like that I was so perplexed because I was so shocked. Disrespectful behavior towards my parents and grandparents, who explained to him several times why no “hello” came back. Neither me nor my friends or family will ever visit this store . Next time if you're in a bad mood etc. maybe don't open the shop...

This guy is the rudest employee at a restaurant that I have ever encountered. When I arrived, my wife asked if I could join her and just have coffee and dessert, and he started yelling in front of other patrons that “this is a restaurant, not a cafe senora”. Yes, a restaurant with mediocre food and terrible service.

I went to Oldenburg with my family to eat. We chose Mamma Mia. After we arrived, my grandfather, who was slightly hard of hearing, couldn't hear the “hello” from the waiter or boss. Shortly afterwards the boss went completely crazy that he didn't get a hello back. Instead of settling for our explanation that he couldn't hear, he continued to complain. We then left the restaurant, which the boss saw as completely fine. I've never experienced anything like this! We will never go to Mamma Mia again, it will be passed on directly to friends and family. That's really disrespectful to older guests! The boss should learn to concentrate on the work regardless of the mood of other guests. Negative staff unfortunately destroys the entire image of this store, sorry!!

We really enjoy coming here, the friendliness of the staff has really improved over the years. Price-performance is great, also because the restaurant is designed for quick table changes and has incredibly close seating - the person sitting next to you sends greetings! That doesn't bother us, we always have the feeling of being welcome, getting delicious food and the price is really fair in Oldenburg comparison. And as the icing on the cake, a visit to Mamma Mia gives you a little bit of Italian flair, especially in winter when it's nasty outside.

Arrogant service from a waiter.

On Saturday lunchtime and a busy restaurant, I expected a longer wait. But I was pleasantly surprised. The order was taken after a short time and less than 15 minutes later we had two very hot, crispy and delicious pizzas on the table. The price-performance ratio is absolutely appropriate. Two pizzas, plus two drinks and finally two cappuccinos for under 40 euros. That's OK. The only annoying thing: every corner in the restaurant is used. As a result, the tables are very narrow and a confidential conversation is not possible. You can also hear the conversations of the neighboring tables. This can be entertaining, but it doesn't have to be. Nevertheless, we would like to come back.

We were guests with the children. We liked everything very much. All the waiters were very friendly and the food was delicious. With a good price-performance ratio. I particularly noticed that the drinks weren't overpriced so you could relax and have another drink. Thank you. It was nice with you.

From hero to zero.... I've been a regular at this bar for around 30 years, and it's been noticeable for years how the quality there continues to decline. Absolutely mediocre. Wanted to give it another chance today and eat there with my boy. Asked for a place for two, the waiter immediately rolled his eyes, it probably doesn't bring in enough sales. The seat offered was halfway down the aisle and the table was completely crooked. I just adjusted it a little and the friendly guy came right back and told me not to do that. I was at a loss for words and the guy actually tells me that I should learn a little respect. I then said we'd lost our appetite, and with a vulgar hand gesture, rolling eyes and "Get out of here" we were turned away from the store. A real shame, I can't recommend anyone to enter this "restaurant". Good thing there are plenty of much better competitors in town. It's a shame, because many years ago the "local" was the top dog in the city.

Good Italian food. Service top. You feel like you're in Italy. It's not quiet, but typically Italian.

The food was ok, the service was very disappointing. Apart from the fact that the waitresses mainly only spoke English, there was no feeling of being welcome. We had to wait a long time before we could order and even then the service was very unfriendly. The pizza wasn't cut and after repeated asking, it was cut, if you can call that cutting. After we were finished we had to speak to 5 different waitresses until we were finally able to pay after 40 minutes. Would have expected better.

Unfortunately...yesterday...No.255 Scarloppe Vino.....it was supposed to be...pork medallions in white wine sauce for € 17.50.......we got thin pork loin steaks. After complaining, we were only told that the menu was printed incorrectly. An espresso or coffee afterwards would have suited the restaurant well, but unfortunately.

Pizza tastes great! Only the service from the older Mr. Italiano is quite arrogant.

Very friendly treatment by the staff and good quality at a reasonable price

Everything here is designed for mass processing, and the staff is on the move accordingly. They brought us another beer and then asked us to hurry up because the next guests were already waiting. I didn't really feel comfortable, everything was very tight. The food was more than okay, the price-performance ratio was great here. Thin pizza dough but properly topped, you won't find such prices elsewhere.

Great (attentive) service that is unfortunately far too rare, delicious food, large selection of dishes, unfortunately only a small selection of nightcaps, otherwise there is really nothing to complain about!

We found the service to be very unfriendly and arrogant. The chairs and tables are far too close together, making conversation almost impossible.

Very good Italian, whether meat, pasta or pizza, everything has been really great so far. The staff obviously comes from Italy, which fits the atmosphere! Highly Recommended

The food is mediocre to okay, the ambience is better but the service is really the worst. I have never had such terrible service from an Italian restaurant today as that from the gentleman with the glasses and the gray slicked-back hair. Very very unfriendly. When asked for a recommendation, I was approached with cheeky comments when paying and clearing my plate because there was some tomato sauce in the bread basket, with the question “who was smart enough to put the shrimp shells in there?” Whether the guy belongs in the service or in the kitchen should be considered more carefully. So I definitely won't go there again if I see the employee there.

A nice authentic Italian restaurant in Oldenburg that was well attended even on a Monday. A reservation is recommended. The service was typically Italian friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty and delivered promptly. Why not 5 stars for ambience Our space was very cramped and it drafted all evening because the door kept not being closed properly.
