Sashimi Sushi in Hamburg

The sushi wasn't fresh. The avocado was brown in many places, the sushi was warm (even though it was vegetarian), and the mayo tasted old and sour.

Could have been great according to pictures. But I saw the cook's dirty street clothes and how they handle food (coughing with open mouth 🤢). Also no one was taking my order after 5 minutes waiting. At the airport.

Korean Soul Bowl: Rice with tough and marbled pieces of chicken, no added soy sauce, and practically no sauce in the dish itself. Not really recommended, especially given the price: a small portion for €13.90 (although that's unfortunately normal at airports).

The price/performance ratio is absolutely not good. The sushi quality is okay, but not even close to worth the price.

Not good value for money. Ordered from a vending machine. A sushi platter was listed as featuring miso soup, but I didn't get any soup. I ordered still water, but I got sparkling water. At some point, employees from nearby stores came by and listened to loud music with the waitress. Sushi wasn't bad, but everything else was abysmal.

We wanted to order something today at 6:30 p.m. after arriving. We were told that nothing was being prepared. We could only choose from the ready-made bentos in the display and eat at our table. After I mentioned that we actually wanted to order sashimi, it suddenly became possible. But €13.00 for four slices was too expensive for us. It's a shame; the service and quality used to be great here, back when the staff from the main station branch was still there. The last time we took it with us, we were no longer convinced by the value for money. Today was our last attempt.

Nice service. But the chicken was tough and the breading was soggy and not crispy. There was too little sauce, and it had a bitter aftertaste. What was really unfortunate was that they used loose balsamic rice instead of the sticky rice advertised in the advertisement. Disappointing.

Imagine you have tons of time and patience and just want to be ignored as much as possible; then this is the place for you ;-) Orders can only be placed via the app, which practically forces you to tip. For a wait that never came? Then the payment in the app didn't work for some reason, neither via PayPal nor credit card. We were eventually allowed to order manually. And then the waiting continued. Instead of processing our order, they filled to-go boxes. Nice to watch, but you need patience… After a full 30 minutes, the food finally arrived. Not quite what we had ordered. But by then we didn't care. Luckily, it was still quite tasty.

The food is good, but the service, with ordering and paying via app BEFORE receiving the food, is truly awful. Furthermore, my credit card was charged TWICE, and despite phone calls and emails about the issue, there has been no response from the restaurant owner. I am very disappointed and recommend paying in cash AFTER eating.

I wanted to have dinner at Sashimi Sushi with my daughter shortly before my flight. After the employee was on his cell phone and I had to call several times, he told us that unfortunately they didn't have any miso soup. The vending machine was broken. I wanted to get something else hot, but he said the chef had already finished work. It was 7 p.m. We left. I then complained directly by email, unfortunately to no avail.

Very good sushi and very friendly service. The coffee is also delicious. Thank you, we'll be back anytime.

Wir fliegen regelmäßig vom Hamburger Airport und haben bei Sashimi schon häufiger einen Imbiss eingenommen. Da dort auch Einwegpfandflaschen verkauft werden, wollten wir dort eine! abgeben. Allerdings wurden wir abgewiesen mit dem Hinweis "Die ist nicht von uns". Nach den gesetzlichen Vorgaben, muss der Verkäufer von Einwegpfandflaschen/-dosen, diese und auch fremde zurücknehmen. Wir werden zukünftig anderswo einkehren.

Opening hours both on their website and on google are from 10-22, but this is wrong or they are lying. Staff is bad and welcoming like they hate being there and serving. Asked when they would open, they didn’t know even tho they are staff. This is such an unprofessional attitude towards customers. For what they serve the prices are way to high

It's been a long time since we've been there. We were used to very good quality from Sashimi Sushi Airport Hamburg but unfortunately it was very disappointing. But it only cost about €100 (sarcasm). No longer recommended. Unfortunately not again.

In response to the following review, the operator asked Google to remove my post. A very honest shop. The staff barely looked at us. The only vegetarian and vegan box cost €18.50, significantly more than the rest (€15.00). The food was completely squished and was structurally too poor to be eaten with chopsticks. There was a lot of rubbish in the little space and there was no apparent concept for waste disposal. It really wasn't tasty either. The worst sushi experience of my life.

Unbelievable: at lunchtime the chef strolls out of the kitchen. Tinkers around with cardboard boxes and disappears somewhere in the basement, even though there are 5 orders outstanding. He was no longer seen. The service specialist is desperate. Someone like that should be fired. Sushi otherwise very good, bowling bad.

Hello, I've been to Sashimi Sushi at Hamburg Airport more than 30 times since July this year. I now know all the employees, from young to old. I am always greeted with great joy and warmth and EVERYONE is very kind, attentive and super sweet. This makes me really happy, especially after a long day, a delayed flight and stress. Both as in the past yours will be Shop is always my first one upon arrival and my last before leaving at the airport. Best regards Melanie Graf

I love this place, probably the best place to eat in the airport, amazingly delicious Asian food, you can either eat at the restaurant or take it to go which is a great option to take with you on the plane :) price vs quality is very high for airport standards, lots of different options from soups, poke bowl, asian fusions and all types of sushi and lot of different drinks options. thank you very much I will visit you for sure next time I come to Hamburg : )

Super fresh and great tasting shushi

So to set the scene on what started out as a disaster of a day.. we missed our flight back to the US! We were feeling very distraught and thirsty.. we stumbled upon sashimi sushi and Yero completely turned our day around!! He was absolutely wonderful and made this whole experience so much better! I would 1000% come back just for him. He was a true delight.

Sehr schlechte Bedienung. Kauf über App nicht möglich. Bedienung meinte ich solle später kommen. Beim wieder kommen, wurden 4 Kunden vorgezogen, obwohl ich in der Schlange stand und dran gewesen wäre. Als dann auch der 5 Kunde vorgezogen wurde, bin ich gegangen.

The sushi is very tasty, but relatively expensive, even for airport prices. That would all be ok. Unfortunately, one thing has remained bad for years: the service. The staff, especially the lady who has been standing at the front counter for years, is so incredibly unfriendly. This probably only works because most guests only come once. You have the feeling that you are disturbing the lady. It's a shame and a reason for us not to buy anything here anymore.

I like this sushi shop. Everything is fresh. The selection is large. Everything is great and prepared to perfection. The food was super delicious, the best sushi I've eaten so far. The coconut soup is also particularly recommended – absolutely a must!

Ok sushi, service almost non existent due to an annoying, very unpersonal ordering system. Scan a QR-code for the menu and pay online, a tip is preselected and one needs at least three extra clicks to not pay a tip. I'm OK with paying tips, but there should be some form of service that I can pay for. Hiding behind the counter and only bringing out the food and drinks and a default setting for tips is not something I want to sponsor.

I always enjoy coming here, it's part of the beginning of a trip for me. The sushi tastes really good, the coconut soup is very good and there is beer on tap. The rest is just an airport atmosphere.

Everything that is offered here should be eaten directly on site and not ordered to take away. I ordered my sushi today at 11, it was "freshly" prepared for me, so it wasn't out of the display when I got home, almost 45 minutes later, despite the low temperatures outside, the sushi was no longer edible. It all ended up in the trash and I paid 54 euros for two bowls, but thanks never again. 5 days ago I ordered sushi at the airport that I took with me 4000km away and it was still great even the next day. But this doesn't work at all.

I've walked past it many times and recently I ate and drank something there for the first time because I had to wait a long time at the airport: the food at Sashimi Sushi (Arrival) was great, the wine was very drinkable, but the service was bad really great!! A really nice and committed employee (Joy) impressed me deeply by helping an extremely arrogant visitor who was having difficulties with the ordering system in a calm voice and thereby keeping him as a guest. (I have to admit, if I were you I would have simply sent him away, also because three other customers wanted something from her at the same time.) Really great!

Very good sushi before departure (airside). The service alone is sometimes a bit spotty. After a long wait for service, we recently set off again. Other guests have resorted to getting take-away food themselves. But the advantage is precisely the service.

The cooked leaf spinach with sesame sauce and sesame is so incredibly delicious. The combination of the nutty taste of the sesame and the tender spinach is simply perfect.

Das Sashimi hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen! Die Textur ist perfekt - zart und geschmeidig, und der Geschmack ist einfach göttlich. Hier ist der Fisch noch frisch! Ich kann es jedem empfehlen.

Ich kann für mich persönlich sagen, dass ich Sushi gerne mag und auch in vielen Sushi Restaurants, unter anderem auch in Japan selber, gegessen habe. Daher denke ich, dass ich eine recht qualifizierte Meinung abgeben kann. Der Fisch, ob Tuna Sake etc. das Hauptteil der Sushi war frisch, so wurde es mit mitgeteilt und so hat es tatsächlich auch geschmeckt. man mag das nicht würdigen, aber bei allen möglichen Sushi Restaurants, ist das schon eine Leistung. Bei Sashimi aber Standard. Die Auswahl ist sehr groß mittlerweile haben sie auch Veganen Fisch, wie es verstanden habe, den habe ich jedoch nicht gegessen und kann dazu nichts sagen. Solides Edamame und die Extras, Goma Wakame, Ingwer, Wasabi alles top! Alles in allem ein authentischer Sushi Laden und Preislich auch rechtens angesiedelt. Die Verpackungen sind übrigens der Hammer mit den Oni Illustrationen!

Ein Muss für mich wenn ich am Flughafen bin, leider oft sehr voll und etwas Wartezeit. Das Sushi ist jedoch überragend! Toller Service!

All time Favorite! Am Hamburger Flughafen gibt es für mich nur Sushi. Ich freue mich jedes mal aufs neue. Tolle Atmosphäre und leckeres essen.

Sashimi Sushi ist für uns eine Pflicht wenn wir verreisen und wir sind jedes Mal begeistert. Das Sushi und die Bowls sind super frisch (vor allem der Fisch) und lecker! Die Mitarbeiter sind total freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es ist immer sauber und man fühlt sich hier total wohl. Wir kommen immer wieder !

Sehr lecker, alles frisch zubereitet.Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Restaurant finde ich etwas klein ,aber dafür gemütlich und gepflegt. Trotzdem bei nächste Reise würde ich nochmal vorbeikommen. Unbedingt zu empfehlen!

Good place for healthy food. Huge variation of prepped Bowl and sushi boxes available. Also on request. Açaí bowl of my colleague was also very good and my choice for next time. Price quality is fine. Service very friendly. Also cooled bottled drinks available.

Most disappointing thing about here is that you but the ready-made bento boxes, such as you buy them from a supermarket and you pay them the same price as you eat them in a restaurant. Good things were that miso soup was really good and the staff was kind and friendly.

Sehr geehrte Leser und Leserinnen, wir kamen heute aus Amerika zurück und landeten in Hamburg, mit dem Ziel am HBF essen zu gehen. Als wir jedoch allein die Auslage bei Sashimi Sushi sahen, bleiben wir direkt vor Ort und gönnten uns mit meiner Frau jeweils eine der fertigen Bowls. Der Preis war super okay, geschmacklich aber auch von der Menge hat es bei uns auf jeden Fall gepasst. Gerade in dieser hektischen Zeit fehlt einfach die Zeit für etwas gesundes und ausgewogenes. Fast Food ist super schnell bei der Hand, doch ist zum einem nicht viel günstiger und zum anderen sättigt es auch nur bedingt. Wenn ihr unterwegs was essen solltet, egal ob mit genügend Zeit oder zeitlich eingeschränkt, achtet auf jeden Fall auf vernünftige Fett, Protein und Kohlenhydratquellen und dazu natürlich auch auf genügend Gemüse !!
